✓ UpgradingI enjoy playing this but it now needs some serious upgrading or revision. Far too many words are not allowed. I see the last time any work was carried out this app was two years ago..Version: 5.7
✓ Uses incorrect words.Fun game, but it cheats. Uses abbreviations but won’t allow you to. Like AI, for artificial intelligence. Uses the word “sup”, buts not even in the apps own dictionary. Still a fun game, but it cheats. Lol..Version: 5.3
✓ Stupid gameplayI initially liked this game, the gameplay was good, the dictionary is pretty good. Despite appearances, the board is not the same as a Scrabble board which is frustrating but not the end of the world. Then I discovered the big flaw. The game is advertised that the computer player is matches it's play to your level. What that means in practice is that if the computer is winning then it makes stupid moves. One ridiculous example I had was a game in which the computer made REBUTTAL on a treble word. It was now 60 points ahead and I was in trouble. Next go it makes OR for 2 points despite some obvious better options on the board, then it makes NOR for 3 points. I don't need patronising by my ipod. It's a shame but this one's now for the dustbin..Version: 1.0
✓ RogThe computer cheats! When you are down to the last few letters it will not take a word that is available so that you cannot get more points and maybe win the game. He also makes words but does not have those letters, I wrote all his stuff down a few games and he cheats, please fix.Version: 3.0
✓ Pass timeI love to play scrabble this is similar but a bit disappointing too. There are words you can play in scrabble that this game won't allow, on the other hand there are words it allows that you can't play in scrabble. I've noticed on the hard level it tends to cheat by not adding all of your points, hence the 3 star rating..Version: 3.4

✓ Words? What words?This would be a great game if it had a much larger dictionary. The last game I played said no to at least ten words off the top of my head, not looking at dictionaries or cheats. I checked the spelling and a list of permitted scrabble words to make sure I wasn't making a mistake. I wonder what grade level this was designed for. Very ....disappointing. ✓ Bring Back old Mr WordMay have been said before, but have to agree. New Mr Word is not a patch on the old one. Used to play it all the time, was my favourite game, probably now deleting after the update, it's awful. The speed at Mr Word puts his words in is ridiculous, you get no time at all to see what you have scored before Mr Word puts his in with both sets of scores appearing at the same time. Stupid. Can't seem to see any difference in the difficulty levels. New colour scheme is awful. Words that I used to use are no longer acceptable. Q and Z has been devalued to 9 points. Fail..Version: 2.0

✓ Loved it but...I almost play every day on both iphone & ipad but both crashes every time i start a new game putting in the 1st word. It will run ok after i closed it completely & the 1st word is still there for me to continue. Surely theres an update to fix this which i have been waiting for too long. ✓ Messed upMr Word not accepting obvious English words -- common words in either British or American English. Come on! I am about to pay for Scrabble. And I will NOT be buying any more if this guy's apps. PART 1 (Previously posted): For starters, didn't realize this had ads. After 2 or 3 days, ads started popping up -- frequently & obnoxiously. Also, "Mr Word occasionally uses either made-up two-letter "things" (not words) OR abbreviations & two- letter prefixes of words -- i.e., things that are not full words in any real, validated dictionary. ✓ MrThe game uses propped nouns and words which are not words, and you can't turn the dictionary off in two player so your always stuck if you put down a word and it rejects it which happens regularly, even if your word is correct! Bad game dnt recommend.Version: 2.1
✓ Mr WordI used the word riata and this was not accepted. It seems to me that often words I use are not accepted and yet when he uses it it is accepted. Something wrong here. ✓ StupidMr Word uses archaic words not in a regular dictionary and doesn't allow ones that obviously are like the word fewer. Now everyone including iPad accepts that but not Mr Word. Stupid words like ope and re are unacceptable but Mr Word doesn't think so. Very stupid..Version: 3.4

✓ Good word gameThis is a good educational game but somehow words that are in the dictionary would not accept it when the Mr. Word creates words that are NOT in the dictionary are accepting it!...WHY???? ✓ Not goodMr. Word won't accept a lot of words that are in the dictionary. But will accept proper names. Not like scrabble at all. Scrabble is much better. I find it frustrating especially when I had a seven letter word and I knew it was in the dictionary and it wouldn't accept it..Version: 2.1

✓ Good, few glitchesChallenging, but still able to win majority of the time. Occasionally removes a letter from my tray when I haven't used it yet. The computer adds points to its score, too. ✓ Far to many adds that pop up randomlyI love this app, but after an update I just keep getting adds that pop up while I’m playing so you end up tapping on them. If it wasn’t for the adds would have been a 5 star. Am deleting now as it’s very annoying.Version: 5.1

✓ Great but needs workAfter having this app for a while it's great as a basic scrabble type game but a few problems; on the iPhone when placing a letter it drops it on a square I did not select (unless you are fully zoomed into the board) which has become annoying however I don't have this problem on the iPad. Also some words the automated player places are allowed but if I try the same are not allowed as it's not a word! Which seems rather stupid... Other than these problems its great but these issues have been bugging me a lot!.Version: 3.6

✓ Fix the bug pleaseThe game is fun but for some reason with the latest app update, an advertisement will interrupt me in the middle of a game and send me directly to the app store. ✓ MazWhat is going on here. First English words are not allowed, now define feature does not work, so any word we are unaware of cannot be checked for a definition. Downright CHEATING. ✓ Enjoyable but flawedThis is a great game to keep you on your toes for playing Scrabble, but the layout is a little unfair, being easy to create a double-double word which Mr Word often does on his second go: you have no choice who starts unless you pass. So it would be great to be able to design your own layout, and you can guess which layout most people would create. On the hardest level the words often come from a botanical dictionary, which is okay because you learn few more words. But (and it's a big but), Mr Word has also slipped in a few very suspect words such as Bunter, a fictional fat schoolboy, and Goa, both of which are proper names and therefore not allowed, unless all proper names are allowed, which they are not. Also some words allowed in Scrabble such as mi are banned by Mr Word. But overall good fun especially when sharing ideas with another person where you can have a laugh rather than blowing your top..Version: 3.2

✓ Cheating at pointsI can not tell you the number of times that I have been cheated out of points and Mr. Word has given himself more points than his game has earned. Triple word scores are scored as single points. My points are picked up again by Mr. Word etc. etc. I keep playing and it keeps happening. I can't believe that you think this goes unnoticed. ✓ Alabama GalI, enjoyed playing Mr Word a lot more than now. Sometimes, I accually leave an opening for it to score a very large score and win the game, but it will just concede. Also, when did proper nouns become acceptable? Getting tired of MrWord just throwing the game by intentionally not trying to win and other times blocking every moves his opponent could make. ✓ This used to be favorite game app!Up until the recent update, I would have said this was five star, and my favorite App. Since the "improvements" of the last update, which were indeed improvements (well done), there is an annoying push to load Candy Crush, and taking me to a tracking website, which is very annoying. If I wanted to load Candy Crush I would do so, and saying no a couple of dozen times should be enough for the developers to get the idea. This reminder pop up displays several times a game. Help! ✓ What dictionary?This game is infuriating when the words displayed by the computer are not able to be challenged . What dictionary did words like "lab"come from which is an abbreviation and used when a similar word "vet"is rejected? Vet while being an abbreviation as a verb , does have another meaning. Then when I insert the word "mound" or "found" as in past tense of find, it is rejected ? Obviously a game for kids or those with limited literary skills. Also what dictionary did words such as " li" and " xi" come from that the program inserts at most inopportune times where words such as " doh " as in music scale and " zen" as in religion are rejected? ✓ CheatsThis app uses weird words from other languages such as French and possibly Spanish, also names yet it disallows authentic English words. No fun to be whipped by its logic of forming unheard of two letter words between every available space and getting nixed for creating good ones. ✓ Cheater!I really enjoyed this game until I discovered it cheats. Sometimes when you make two words like when adding the letter "s" to another, it will only give you points for one word. I had all the dignity of a two year old in a full blown temper tantrum when I laid down a 7 letter word for the game and smartie mouth only gave me points for one word, NO bonus points, and ended the game with a wise crack about me losing. ✓ CheaterI liked the game at first, but I played several games where I used all my letters and then I would get all vowels the next time and have to trade the computer would get the good letters and I used all my letters again and I got all vowels again. It doesn't want you to win. I did win several times, but all vowels when I got to far ahead. But I got aggravated when I used correct words and the games rejected them. I looked the words up and all of them were in the dictionaries I had. Seem like a scam.....Version: 4.5
✓ Dodgy dictionary?Well, initially thought this was ok but have noticed some strange dictionary behaviour and acceptance or non-acceptance of words. I had an eight letter word 'polaroid' not accepted yet this is in most dictionaries as it has passed into general usage and is not just a brand name. This is just one example off the top of my head but I've lost count of the number of times this has happened. The Scrabble app is not much better and plagued with ads and the full version is quite expensive at £6.99 too. What this app needs is support for a proper recognised dictionary localised to the user e.g., Merriam Webster, Oxford English etc because it is so close to being excellent..Version: 3.0

✓ Racist Words UsedI started playing this game and was very happy playing against the computer until Racist words started being used? I sent feedback and I received an apology with the excuse when we do an upgrade we will hopefully be able to stop these words being used. ✓ Needs ImprovmentSometimes it takes a very long time for the "opponent" to play a word - the circle just keeps spinning. Touch for the iPad could be more precise. The problem is I think the creator is probably foreign, because Mr Word doesn't know commonly used words like sushi, or quo.. but will write and accept mispellings. ✓ Good fun but ....... There is no score board so there is no record of the games played, who won and what the scores were. Please add one as there is no sense of achievement if I can't look back at previous scores and winners. Like all games by this provider it's not finished off properly. For example despite being set up for British English Mr Word still gets away with American English spelling like odor (odour), color (colour) and many more. Also the game doesn't accept the word "FEWER" which is perfectly common parlance. A good game spoiled by lazy programmers..Version: 4.0
