✓ Do not trust Hearst digital publishing - they take away access to editions you have paid forCustomer service now say they gave warning that the app upgrade would prevent access to previously bought editions. No they didn't and anyway that is not good enough. How can they let people buy editions and then upgrade the app and take them away. I will not trust them again..Version: 4.0.0

✓ BAD IMAGES TRANSITION :(Great magazine, a little bit expensive but I was so excited that I blindly bought a few editions of Elle Decoration UK. The main problem is during page transition, there is à blurring of the image that is very annoying and you dont see this in other magazine such Vogue for example. Annoying problem that make me close the iPad. I am not able to buy the update all the time. Revue formidable en terme de la qualité du contenu, cependant il y a un brouillage de l'image lors des transitions de celles-ci qui est excessivement désagréable...Au point de cesser de lire...Évitez de vous la procurer avant que ce problème soit corrigé. I have managed to get through to someone at Hearst and they have offered me a refund. Apparently it was a decision made by the app designers….WHY?! ✓ I've been robbed of time and moneyThe functionality of the new app may be Ok, but I wouldn't know because I'm still reeling from the fact that I just spent the last hour trying to access my subscription after the icon disappeared from my Newsstand. No instructions there, in iTunes, or in the email confirming my subscription. And the instructions in the app itself, which I had to download after having used Newsstand for years, are incorrect. On top of that, none of my older issues are available. I paid for those. How is this acceptable? ✓ Dated interfaceWhile this is one of my favorite interiors publications the app is severely lacking when compared to other magazine apps. There is no interactivity and I find it slow compared to others. And don't forget your password! Unlike every other app out there that requires a password, this one has no way for you to reset yours if you forget it. Time for a serious upgrade..Version: 6.0

✓ Buy the hard copy!Had missing images and despite following the instructions on the app to resolve issue and emailing Hearst customer service the problem still persist. Customer service basically repeats the same answer as written on the app troubleshoot page without understanding the problem. Save your money and buy the hard copy. ✓ Not good enoughI was very excited to find this but I am very disappointed with the result. My main issue is that it is simply out of focus. There is no definition and I have to zoom in to read anything. If you are a design magazine then you need to apply the same rigorous rules you apply to the physical version as you do to the digital. ✓ Endless problemsI have had endless problems with this magazine App- I have had to delete and reinstall in three times and today, yet again, it won't open. If you have a subscription it can take 24 hours after the magazine appears in the home screen for it to remember you are supposed to have free access, and I have had endless issues where the screen loads, then closes itself. Customer services are a bit brusque and given the endless problems (and the fact the 'App' is just a facsimile of the magazine) I advise avoiding.Version: 2.5.5

If you are subscribing as directed by Elle Decor UK, through Apple, Elle Decor UK will not provide assistance. All past issues will not be able to be accessed through one's app and account unless one re-subscribes. This was not always the case; one could previously access past issues purchased over the years through one's account on the app. For long-time subscribers, this is a considerable loss of funds invested, and Elle Decor UK customer service seems not able to comprehend the problem, nor seems willing to investigate, nor is interested in honouring former subscriber's purchases.
