✓ FrustratingThis game has a lot of potential. The developers could make the derby quest a little bit more fun and less wearing on the player. The training is limited and capped and the opponent horses either match or better your results. They also seem to have an infinite amount of bursts during the races. With my training maxed out, my only option is to buy an expensive charm. Did this, and received no noticeable difference. I'm now stuck grinding away at races, saving up to afford another charm. At no more than 350 coins for first place, that's a lot of grinding. The payouts for the wins are not worth it..Version: 2.1.1169
✓ Could be alot betterThe game is fun to play. The breeding system seems to work well, but it doesn't matter how much or which attributes you train- the other horses' traits always seem to match yours in every race. Also, there have been a couple times that I did not receive credit for diamonds when I should have. Plus, it continuously crashes in the middle of training or just as a race is about to begin. If those issues were fixed, I'd give it five stars!.Version: 1.0.2

✓ Derby QuestThis game has a lot of potential. It is fun, addictive and with good graphics and decent gameplay... There are some options to pay for things within the app which I think I've spent about $20 on so far. Yet, the ads are constant which becomes incredibly annoying. The app has crashed on me many many times... The game needs more races, more jockey options, varying distances, etc. Also, if you get your horse to the lead early he will most likely finish 1,2 or 3 every time. If he's not near the lead, I've never had any "come from behind" and finish top 3...I not fully understand the whip to whipping meter relationship. Ex: the meter will tell you that you have 15 whips yet if you use 2, 3, 4, whips in a row the meter will run green to yellow to red suggesting the horse is actually slowing down... Willing to spend money on this game but hoping for an update soon which fixes the bugs and adds more depth..Version: 1.0.4

✓ OkayThe game is fun but there are a lot of bugs. Pop ups will come up sideways and I'll have to completely exit out of the game for it to look normal. Also a random chart will pop up during almost every race and it won't go away. **I also wish you could train your horse more and win more money during races. I don't like the fact that once you train your horse at ONE skill your automatically forced to race, then you have to wait 10 mins to do anything with your horse. ✓ Ads after every race?Ok. I have played this game a fair amount. And after a while it gets a little tiring. The first problem is that it forces you to feed the horses every time. This becomes simply a pain. The second problem is that you have to get up to a six horse stable before you naturally have the ten minute rest for the horses between races ( otherwise you have to go away from the game and come back later). The worst part is that this latest update now adds pop-up ads after every race. Sorry - this is going the wrong way. I can't recommend..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Like Derby games?Great derby game for iOS. Reminds me of Derby Owners Club at Dave and Busters. Worst part is this though, as you level up your stats, every other horse you race with levels those same stats. No variety in racing styles. They all match your points or better. When you hit max at 100, somehow they can get 102 or 104. Stupid. Also, having to wait 10 minutes between each race isn't too long, but it keeps me from being able to get lost in the game and play for hours..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Don't waste your timeI downloaded the previous app to this release, which was just starting to interest me when this update landed. As soon as I updated, I lost everything, and had to start again! I emailed the support people but no response or anything. Then on the new game, just five races in, the wrong horse name started appearing in the race, which meant that I couldn't progress any further in the game. Utter waste of time. ✓ Could be good but....Every time they try and "fix" something with an update,they end up making it worse. This game is extremely buggy and almost unplayable at times. An opaque "results" screen hangs over races unless you close the app and restart after each race,you can't even see your horse racing when this occurs. Jumps and jitters during the race are also annoying at times. This could be a very good game if they'd release a finished product instead of trying to fix things on the fly and occasionally making things worse..Version: 1.2.1
✓ ...I prefer the earlier version of this app, the races are just too hard to win with the amount of whips you get now, compared to the NPCs it seems like they get much more and win so easy. ✓ Too many bugsThis is a fun game! But it bugs out every time you open the app.....if you don't restart the app you will have a blank scoreboard covering the screen. This only happens on my IPad from my experience because it's never happened on my iPhone 4S. ✓ Good but could be a lot betterThe racing is fun, but I have to agree with many of the other reviews that the gems are way to hard to get. Definitely takes away from wanting to play the game! We need to be able to interact with the horse more, like being able to pet or brush the horse. I hate that to train the horse I have to wait 15 minutes or use gems to pay for "energy". If we have to wait to be able to race again, there should be other things we can do in the game..Version: 1.0

Either charge a more appropriate price or make it VERY clear in the description that the game is SEVERELY restricted if you aren't prepared to buy add ons. ✓ Very good but needs updateThis is a good game for those who are interested in horse racing. It has all the elements - from breeding to training to racing. It is enjoyable to play but seems to crash too often. Also, the investment to buy additional coins and derby diamonds for breeding horses and upgrading equipment seems out of proportion to the winnings from races. Also, it would be great to be able to train as a separate activity rather than prior to a race. But overall I would recommend the game for those with an interest in the ponies..Version: 1.0

✓ Needs to be fixed... again.So excited when I saw that this game was updated... but now I'm just irritated that they did away with the previous version where the layout was much simpler but more satisfying. In this new version, it's way harder to win races and improve your horses. Training is basically a joke because after you've reached 20 points in each trait, you can't improve any further even though your horse has terrible stats. Also you can't level up equipment any more - you have to buy these skill charm things if you want your horse to improve in a trait after you've reached the max in training. ✓ New Update...SO confusingI like that you guys are updating the game but..WOW this is harder and more complicated than a calculus exam. I can no longer just log in, quick race a horse and log out. I have to spend 20 min prepping. Also half the buttons are missing. It keeps telling me to repair tack..with an arrow pointing at what I assume is supposed a button. Theres nothing there. Glitches happen every page I flip to. It freezes, images dont show up, other times it wont let me drag tack pieces. Its just a huge mess. I do prefer the original game. I also seem to have lost all the training I did on my horses before. The old tack/horses are still there, but training is all lost. Please fix glitches/bugs and many many issues..Version: 2.0.1120

The diamonds are very hard (if not impossible) to get and the time you have to wait to race again is too long. Make stable upgrades ALOT CHEAPER. So far, in my gameplay, I have earned no diamonds. ✓ Bugs & ImprovementsGreat game but very frustrating! Besides the game throwing me out every few minutes, the multiplayer does not work. Please fix these bugs. I can't progress, because the race got too hard too quick, now losing money every race being anything below 2nd place. Improvements: Training-being able to train the abilities of your horse more than 20points, of course it should be harder each point you upgrade a certain ability. How about training the jockey too? Equipment-showing the abilities of your horse, while looking for the right saddle etc, right now have to go back and forward nonstop. ✓ OkThis game is fun...in the beginning. Then gets repetitive. The same horse racing over and over. There are some bugs, like the previous screen, faintly, staying around for the screen your using. So, that makes it hard with some races I guess. I have a suggestion. You should be able to breed your own horses after you buy them, instead of having to just sell them. You should be able to hire a different jockey. And finally able to bet on the races, with odds depending on how the horses train. P. S. ✓ FunGreat game, very well made. Downside is that you can't train without having to race-which you can only do every fifteen minutes. Way to hard to play without paying with real money. ✓ I like the new update... SortaI like it and all but I'm in the tutorial and I'm stuck at the part where the "repair tack" is telling me to press a button on the screen I can't see... What am I missing? I'm playing on a full sized iPad (the original) and the green box with writing isn't completely on my screen only saying "now tap the whip button" I think... Pls fix soon...I like this game... It needs to be fixed or lots of people with the same problem like me won't play cause they can't get past it, also the tutorial is quite annoying, It doesn't let me adjust what I selected, for ex. If I select front Paige as a sire then I want to change it because I can't see his stats (that's another problem in itself not being alowed to see the stats of the sire/dam cause of the tutorial in the way...)i can't go back, and have to restart the game, pls fix this, SOON and also, can you add a way for people to quit the tutorial, PLEASE, also lots of people will think this is a little rude and I have to agree but I have to ask, don't you guys test the game before you let people play the new update? ✓ Alright no that goodThis game is an ok game the old version the had was better that had a pronouncer and had great start if you did good, I always use to come first in the other on but this on is really bad, but the thing I like the idea of is you can eat more than one treat and collect coins by cleaning up, the thing I would improve on if I owned this app is making a person tell you when to start, making different things for everything not just doing a certain activity make a variety like burst you do on thing and keeps going. Proberly make it a bit cheaper for the sheds. Another thing you should fix up is the controls because the controls don't work that good I try to control it and it takes to long to switch. ✓ Fun but needs moreThis game is so much fun and simple, which I like that. However it takes forever to earn coins and diamonds and to upgrade or buy anything is too expensive so it becomes discouraging after a while. The color of the horse is always an ugly brown unless you buy the DNA and during the race there's to few whips to use which you can't even tell if it makes a difference most of the time. ✓ Typical bait and switchSo this game makes you believe you can play it without going in pocket. There are plenty of ways to get "free currency" of which require you to take surveys and the like to get diamonds. Here's the catch. You start with a stable of 1 horse. In order to get two horses you have to upgrade stable. That costs 50 diamonds. They will let you get to 45 diamonds via these free currency methods or wins in game but they will NOT let you get to 50 without going in pocket. I can understand that, but then say it. Don't make it appear possible and then hard cap you no matter what you do without paying 5 dollars. Terrible business practice. I would have preferred to pay 5 dollars to start and then leave me the F alone and let me play the game. Money pit..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Fun and creative but uses free coins up fastI used to be a jockey so I was excited to play this game. It is fun and well written ( funny,too... Energy shots?!!!) but I found the learning curve a little tough and I used up free coins too quickly. Didn't really want to spend a lot of money on more so I am watching videos of other games for more free coins. Still, it is set up so you have to spend a lot for your horse to do well so it is hard to stay ahead. ✓ Good game but too expensive to enjoyIt's a decent game but if you want to breed other horses make your stable bigger etc, it's unbelievably expensive especially for a basic game like this. They should have charged 3th of the prices so at least people can enjoy it and they can make money as well. ✓ Great game but needs changesFirst of better graphics but I don't like that there isn't a announcer calling the race anymore, post parade is terrible and the whole process of breeding training and feeding is more complicating.... Other then that I like it but it still needs work... I like playing the horse racing game at Dave n busters this is a similar game but like I said it needs improvements.
