✓ Total Waste of TimeThe app for Reserve America wasn’t working a week+ ago and we lost the desired site because of an update. The customer service # told us it would take up to 10 days for the app to work properly and to use the online reservations. Today, neither the online reservation or the app were working correctly. Called the customer service # and they reserved the wrong site (noticed it ourselves on the confirmation email). Had to call back, got transferred so we weren’t charged for the change, and ended up losing another desired site after being on hold for a total of 2 hours. Why does this company even exist? Apps, websites, and customer services are supposed to make life easier. This company only made everything I was trying to do harder. The people on the phone were nice but could t do much to help..YfbyefbVersion: 4.16.0

✓ Is a Zero Star rating possible?I’m not a tech dummy or noob so I know this isn’t my problem, it’s ReserveAmerica’s. What’s the problem? Every interaction with the webpage and/or the app is a guaranteed 30+ minutes of frustration. Initial attempts at logging in end up with new passwords that may or may not work even after confirmation and writing it down and carefully making sure the new pw is entered correctly. If by some chance roll of the dice you get logged in, the site can’t retrieve your data and blames your internet connection. WHAT???!!! Could I be logging in if I didn’t have a working internet connection?? Hello!!?? From here on out I’m going to avoid ReserveAmerica even if I have to “camp” in a Walmart parking lot to do it..BluetailedshrikeVersion: 4.16.0

✓ HateI hate these people that make reservations and then cancel them last minute and you can’t plan ahead. There needs to be a bigger amount charged when they do what they call surfing to get the weeks they want and then cancel the previous weeks. In addition, if they do not show up and do not call the reservation to go back in the “pool” for use- there are too many campsites, sitting empty And we can’t get a reservation.Bigred454v8Version: 4.17.0

✓ Great unless you find a site before you log inI made the mistake of looking at sites and selecting the book now button before I logged in to my RA account. When I did sign in, it sent me back to square one to select a site and the site and info I had already entered was not available because the web site thought someone else was trying to book it (I could have waited for 15 or so minutes to see if it came back but would have to risk losing another site due to the delay). At any rate, it was frustrating when the page I was looking at said, if I had an account, I should log in, then the presumption is that you would pick up with the info you had already entered. But, apparently that is not how it works and that is, at a minimum, very frustrating..CwpwaterVersion: 4.14.0

✓ Not useful for state park reservationsSpecifying RV/Trailer does not provide any information pertinent to the site such as length of vehicle accommodated or amperage of the electric service for that site. Previously this information was made available, but that may have been a different app. Also, it would be helpful to see the dates a particular site may be available. Or indicate alternate similar sites. If a site is booked for a single night when someone is trying to make a reservation for 2 weeks, it is not helpful to provide alternate dates 3-4 months forward. ✓ New UpdatesThe “update” to this app have made this app unusable. I loved how easy to use the previous version was and used it constantly to browse new campgrounds and book my sites. With the version however, it is impossible to find a site unless you already know exactly where you want to stay and it’s more difficult to get to the details of your future reservations. ✓ Needs Some Major WorkI have now multiple logins for each state I visit. Consolidate the logins and don’t force me to creaste a new account for each state. I would also like the booking experience to be the same on RA regardless of state. Searching and filtering needs a major overhaul. When I plug in my dates, please filter out unavailable sites. If I select flexible dates then sure show me it all. Also more filters of type of campgrounds - for example, let me filter on State Parks, versus Federal lands/national forests versus private. Make it easier to identify the campground amenities such as showers or not, flush versus pit/vault toilets, and trap of electric or no electric. And as other users have commented make it easier and not a time drain. Allowing multiple reservations on the same order would also be mega useful (more than one campground, back to back dates for example. If I’m traveling for weeks at a time, I’d like to book a bunch in advance. All campgrounds should have a mix of First come first serve and reservable campsites to allow for different types of traveling styles..Roadtripper213Version: 4.17.0

✓ The Read Our Privacy Policy links do not work…Hello! There is a minor problem with the current (4.11.0) version of the iOS RA Camping app. There is a “Read our Privacy Policy” link on both the Sign Up and Forgot Password portions of the app. Pressing on the “Read our Privacy Policy” links does nothing - it does not take the user Aspira’s Privacy Policy. ✓ Recent security update works on website but not on appAs of June 6, they upgraded some security system for user security. That’s great. But what is not great is that it currently only allows you to log in on the website. Even if you update your password through the app, and you try to log in, you will get an Invalid login credentials pop up. ✓ Conchas State Park No fresh waterThe state park decided to work on the water system and will close all bathrooms, showers, and have no water at the reserved sites. They also decided to not have a dump station open. I am not sure why they chose to work during the high season but it has been decided. This means during our planned 10 day stay, will not happen since years past this has not been an issue. Now to cancel, you want cancellation fees. That is not fair to have a cancel fee for something out of my control. At least with Covid, this was not the same and we were offered cancellation waived. Your app is great but there is no thought in this situation. You may as well burned down the park and said you will rebuild it to allow water again next season..JRGallegos1Version: 4.11.0

✓ Challenging to search from APPThough the site is easy to navigate online, from the APP (at least my version) it difficult to search by date. I also can’t figure Hoyt how to reserve multiple sites at once, and logging in initially is a double procedure. It’s either a glitch or just designed poorly. The developers can fix a few things, such as searching areas by dates, and length parameters. I have to check each site, it shouldn’t give me options to pick a 25 ft site when I enter my trailer at 35’..Difficult to search by dateVersion: 4.2.6

✓ Miss searching by dateUsed to be able to plug in the dates you wanted to go camping and then could search all the campsites that had availability for those dates (and for size of spot needed). Takes forever to search through each campsite looking for availability on the dates you want, and for the size needed. Especially now that everyone seems to be camping these days. ✓ FiltersThis app lacks basic functions in the search feature. After entering the dates you wish to book you then get a list of all the sites. Then you can choose what type of site you want. Then you have to scroll through all the sites (filtered for type if you made a selection). It would be quicker to be able to scroll through only available sites. ✓ Ridiculous fee and websiteWhy $9 to make a reservation? That’s so exorbitant and disproportionate, almost 50% of the state park fee. No way the program, multiplied by thousands of reservations daily, costs that much to administer! It’s one thing to make a profit, another to be predatory. The website needs an alert to inform that one has to scroll to the bottom of the page and check a box, not just refuse to let one proceed by giving” incorrect data” notice. ✓ Needs a calendar view of availabilitySince booking highly sought locations can often result in no availability on the dates first selected, it would be nice to have a calendar view that shows what is actually available. This is already a feature on the website. Also, the “Find Next Available” button searches only from the beginning of your reservation date, but that isn’t clear. ✓ Hard to useWhen you search for sites it lists all parks including day use parks. It does not allow you to sort out the type of site you want. I don’t have a generator. I want at least power and water with a dump station minimum. I booked the wrong type of site before I realized there was no power. For a few days the water and sewer not as important. ✓ NonfunctionalThis app is nonfunctional! How does it have 4.8 stars? I searched for a place to camp which provided me with a list. After I applied the filters and found a place to go there was no way to select it. I should be able to tap on an item in the list which would direct me to that place. ✓ This was almost perfect(4 stars)I have done a lot of of booking through the RA app. I thought I was the way of the future for us that know how to use technology but also treasure the moments with only what you bring. This app used to deliver, but now the seam to want to complicate this transaction. This was a five star app when you search a a map with the parameters set for your needs. ✓ Needs more optionsYou should be able to save your equipment type and size . When you search for sites it should search for your equipment type . ✓ Log out issuesYou’re only safe making one reservation at a time. This app will log you out while you still have plenty of time to make your reservation payment. I lost all my bookings and had to go rebook everything. I don’t think the app should log you out while you’re using it. I had 14 minutes left to book and was in the middle of putting my credit card information in when the app just logged me out. ✓ ReviewI find the filling in of info for campsites confusing at best! When entering for a trailer i will be all of a sudden filling in for the tow vehicle! I have been given a tent site for a 30’ trailer! I understand that it has to be somewhat generic given the number of campgrounds you cover. If there is someway to create a profile for my rig/trailer so I did not have repeat that process everytime would be helpful. ✓ Senior discount ??I’ve been using Reserve America for several years now and I love the ease in reserving however I now have a valid Aspen Leaf Pass (as of May) and should be getting a senior discount (per the printed information on the agreement) on camping fees. I find nowhere in the app that I can enter any information that will apply my discount when placing my reservations! I’m beyond frustrated and tired of paying so much for camping. Says to tell a family member to update the financial information, however I am the family member that would update financial information and there is no place to do it and honestly I don't remember giving them any financial information to start with. ✓ Reserve AmericaI have been trying to update my account for several days. It had an old compromised email address. I finally found the very old password and updated all the information that it allowed. Then when I went to reserve a spot, it said it needed more information, requesting drivers license information. When I put it in, it rejected it saying I couldn’t update my license information. I was not wanting to update it, I was just giving it the information it was requesting. ✓ MehThis app is not user-friendly. A couple of examples: 1) Any time you try to change dates, you get booted back to the start of the camping calendar (April). Not a big deal once or twice, but it gets old quickly. 2) You can’t search by open dates other than “next available date.” All of this is a race against the clock, since campsites go very quickly and once you begin a transaction, you have only 15 minutes to complete your purchase. One positive: once you begin your transaction, the site removes it from availability for the duration of the 15 minutes. ✓ Monopoly!This is a horrible system! State and federal parks should not be allowing such advanced reservations. People should not be allowed to book more than 14 days in any month or 60 days in advance. And not be allowed more than 60 nights in any year. There should be restrictions that keep track of the individual that books in advance but never shows up! Maybe three strikes you’re out rule, banned for a year. Reserve America should have quite a database and with a little software tweak this can be easily controlled. There are families out there that might get a Friday off and decide to go camping locally for that Friday night and Saturday night but can’t even though nobody is at some of those sites that have been booked a year in advance. Somebody needs to step up in the state park system and get this corrected instead of business as usual. Remember it’s our tax dollars that support these parks. Ps; How can people be giving this 4+ stars when you can never get in a state park for a weekend in Florida in the winter but yet 50% of all parks are taken up by out of State people & Canadians!
