✓ Was Amazing FunWas My go to scrabble game Have played for years Have even payed for coins but usually thoroughly enjoy not just the game but REGULARLY taking the surveys for coins. However when recently I have had minor problems with the Surveys I contacted both the game and TAPJOY who run the surveys. Asking for help and support and the fact you either don’t get it or you get advice that just increases the frustration has actually just soured my enjoyment of the game. If they had no support centre I would not have attempted to use it and probably would have been more than satisfied with that instead of exasperation, frustration and anger..PhtkellyVersion: 2.5.0

✓ Appalling DictionaryNot sure where they are getting the words from but some words are off the scale wrong yet other words in regular use are not allowed. Add to this the programming whereby you get a rack of 7 vowels and the opponent gets a huge score. It’s also apparent that if you get a good, high scoring word the opponent will get a better score. If you deliberately score badly so does the computer player. It’s nigh on impossible to win as the computer opponent gets 50+ score after 50+ score while you have a rack of 5 “i”s and 2 “e”s and score 4!! It’s a shame as it’s a decent game which cheats!.Scoobster999Version: 2.11.3

✓ Love the game but ...I know I'm in the minority's here with only 3 stars but there are two really annoying problems. I love everything about the app except for... 1. The ads. Yes I know I can pay to have them removed but I really don't usually mind ads. But these are absolutely annoying! They go into a loop where there is no way out except to kill the app and log back in. Which brings me to the second issue... 2. Login with Facebook does not work. When selected and then confirm login it goes to a blank screen with 'Done' on it. Selecting 'Done' returns with 'cannot connect with Facebook' then it lets you use the app. When these are fixed I'll gladly give it 5 stars!.Alp4c4sVersion: 2.3.5

✓ Liked it but not anymoreI used to really like this game but recently one of the ads makes it impossible to play it. There is no exit for this ad and I end up having to restart my tablet every single time it pops up. I have had to reinstall this game twice so far and will probably have to do it again and it’s always after this game ad about pyramid solitaire. I don’t mind ads but when they make it impossible to play your game because it does not give you the option to exit after it shows you it’s demo. I am not going to download it so I did try one time and it still get it every time. I should not be forced to have to download a game I do not want with the possible option of that I had not popping up anymore which did not work because I tried that already.Christine051367Version: 2.3.5

✓ Word chumsI’ve been playing this for several years & loved it but this week I’ve been blocked by another game & the only way I can get going again is to take the game down & start again. ✓ Good gameA lot has changed ie new outfits and equipment to make the scoring better ie double points if you wear a hat etc. What I don’t like about it is it now tells you who’s turn it is to play! You kinda thought that would be easy, you know, I play a word then the computer would play then it would be my turn again and so on and so on! ✓ Fantastic game, but the little things make it a 3 Stars instead of 5!Word chums is a great game. It is a fun game to play and you are even learning something technically. The only thing is, is that it has some CRAZY words in it...I like it how you earn money for winning matching and being in the top three for mini competitions. It’s also good that you can choose your name and talk to your opponents. The only thing is though, is that I wish the characters didn’t cost as much to change. I picked the duck and it said I was a duck, then it randomly changed in front of my eyes. Game wise though, it’s fantastic, but it’s just the little things that change the rating to a 3. I recommend getting this game because it’s fun and it really doesn’t matter what your character looks like for some people. Great game! Enjoy it!.TheMatilda4715Version: 2.3.4

✓ Needs parental controlsI’m 50 50 on my review. This game is great and we all play it on our device with each other as a family. My 9 year old son enjoys it too. The ONLY thing we are very concerned about is the chat room. We monitor our child when he’s online and we notice that there isn’t any parental controls to turn off the chat feature. We have found our son in a few chats with people asking him questions about if he’s male or female and we don’t like it at all...So with that we had to delete the app off his table. I would suggest seriously an option in the next update for parents to be able to disable the chat feature because other wise I don’t think it will provide a save environment for kids..Mrs. RockKittyVersion: 2.7.0

✓ Notifications 🤦🏻‍♂️I love this game and have played it across multiple platforms for a few years now. But all of a sudden on both iPhone XS Max and iPhone 11 Pro Max the notifications just don’t work. My busy life doesn’t give me time to keep checking back to see if someone has taken their turn. So the game for us (me and my partner) is actually no good currently. I have signed us both in and out multiple times, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game on both devices multiple times and still no notifications. The game tells me every time I open it that I should turn on notifications, I follow the steps and still when I return to the game it asks me again to turn notifications on. This is on 2 different phones and for 2 different people. The game itself plays fine with no issues. Oh and I like it that much I bought it for both devices..Adam4882Version: 2.7.0

✓ JulieOne of my favorite games. Lots of fun with friends and a good brain workout to boot. I love all the coins you can earn for free and the items you can buy with them just add to the experience. Give it a try and you will love this game too! Update-The current version has a flaw. Directly after playing my turn against an opponent an ad appears that will not go away regardless of how long I wait. The only way out of this is to exit the game and clear it from my iPad memory. Then when I re-open the game I can play another turn against a different opponent, but as soon as I have taken my turn the game goes back to the ad that will not go away. ✓ Good BUT- -Shut up and get the darn game... such a good game. I’ve been playing for a year now, I’m on level 27. I’m loving it EXCEPT for one thing. The chat. I can’t type in it! I’ll type my message, send it’s but nothing appears and some friends that I can message in other apps like Discord and Messages all say they can’t see it. Also, there are some players who get really political in the chat (it was working last month, now it’s not). For example, there was this dude who kept typing: ‘TRUMP IS DA BEST’. I’m not going to state my political party, but since I’m youngish, this is very negative. Also ppl try pressuring you to reveal your name, age, and personal info. Thank y’all so much for the Block player feature, along with the remove friend feature. I’ve encountered a few dirty-mouthed chatters, some players refusing the play but instead ‘looking for a soulmate’. I wish my chat would work again, since I can see my friends’ messages, but can’t reply. This was good until the chat broke. ✓ Could be great......but it is currently broken. And people fun has absolutely no interest in fixing it. Letter distribution is ridiculously bad. Unfortunate because this game really could be fantastic. As it is, I never recommend it to anyone. The game keeps head-to-head stats but doesn’t record your first game with someone. So, if you win your first game and play the same person again and lose, your head-to-head stats shows your opponent with a 1-0 head-to-head advantage. Totally misleading. You will almost always get back half of the letters you just played, often more. The bomb is ridiculous. Swapping is even worse. They are lying about hints. If you’ve found a word that is 75% of the best word then the hint, according to peoplefuns own words, will be for the best word on the board. This is often not true. So many times I have found a four star word, used a hint, and got a hint for a word that was one or two points better, but still not the best word on the board. Multiple emails and they just have no interest in fixing it. Like I said, it’s a shame because the game itself could be pretty rad..BillyjiminybobVersion: 2.8.0

✓ Please respond!Will someone please answer this. It’s getting ridiculous. I’ve been playing for nearly 10 years and have made friends with people across the world. Thank you. However, recently the chat feature is censoring certain words. I’m chatting with Chums about my cross-country road trip, and a Chum asks me to send photographs to her via email. The words photo, pics, camera and email were all replaced by asterisks. We had to email each other to figure out what was being said. Another chum tried to say she hates spellcheck, the word “hate” was censored. What is going on? This only started very recently. November 5th - today in the UK we celebrate Guy Fawkes Day, I mentioned him in a chat with a chum, however his last name, Fawkes, was censored and replaced by asterisks! This is insane. For the last couple of days there have been ads which are impossible to exit. TurboTax and a word game. No matter how many times you tap the X nothing happens. ✓ Great game but be careful of chatI love this game but if you are letting children use it tap on the person you are playing and hit the block button to stop chat because I have received some very disturbing messages that are very predatory and sent through a message to administrators and they were not really concerned about this behaviour. ✓ Too many ads which block you from continuing to playIt is a good game, actually a great game and fun to play with family members. But the ads keep popping up, and you have to wait several minutes with some of them. I realise that the developers have to be compensated somehow, but all the ads are for stupid other games which, when you read the reviews, are just peddling further ads. I never fall for ads, so the products don’t interest me, they just infuriate me. I often have to crash out of the game either because the ads never finish or just out of boredom. The developers need to get this and position the regularity and duration of ads accordingly. I have so nearly uninstalled this app so many times. It would be so nice if a suitable ground could be met between game play and boring us with ads for games we don’t want. ✓ Dumb-foundedI have to admit that I am beyond being dumbfounded! I have been playing for a couple of years now, and I am amazed that anyone will put their name on being a creator of this game. Someone needs to go in and fix the distribution of letters in this game. I play with the same people all the time and we all are in agreement and have asked me to be there spokesperson. It is so obvious that you either get all vowels or consonants too much of the time. The people I play with, or I would say, of equal intelligence, and have excellent grammar. Some of us are even scrabble champions and truly amazed at how poorly the game is designed. I am begging you please take another look and find a better way to evenly distribute the letters for a better selection. ✓ Video Ads are killing itI have had Word Chums on my iPad mini for a couple of years but over the last few months the ads have increased (I have the free version) tremendously and are now mostly video ads that run for 30 secs or more before being able to skip. This is now impacting battery life and ruining the game. I had no objection to ads previously, I appreciate it helps pay for development but to make a wonderful game unplayable is so short sighted! Please ditch the video ads and return this game to it’s wonderful state where I’d be able to give the higher score it deserves..LizjaeVersion: 2.6.4
