✓ Amazing!Though it may take some time to learn how it works, it can be used to create music and sounds from piercingly annoying to calm, slow and relaxing. I recommend this to anyone wanting to create glitchy music. my only problems with it is the lack of operators such as NOT and sin(), and a lack of customization in the base frequency, and finally lack of support for 64 bit numbers. also an error occasionally occurs with numbers beginning with 0 eg(05, 09) where it sometimes appears as a syntax error..Version: 2.3.9

✓ Good to Great, Borderline GeniusThe Good: this thing can make some crazy sounds. If you like R2-D2 type noises and bit crushed sounds than this is right up your alley. The Bad: programming it is daunting. I'd like to really see a step by step guide breaking down some of the existing code and explaining how the code correlates to what you're hearing in the patch. If the developer did a bit more 'hand holding' in that regard for it's users this would be a five star app no problem. Even though programming it is hard, there are lots of presets to get going and enjoy it right away. The price is also good. I'm amassing quite a collection of sound making apps and this one is a diamond in the rough..Version: 2.3.5

Original rave about BiTwIz= Make awesome tones that both enlighten and possibly induce migraines! This is like no other app you have ever pondered pressing "BUY" before - trust Mo on this. It is an app that is timeless and can induce long periods of insane noise generation. Truly cool doesn't begin to touch the tip of the compliments BITWIZ deserves. I have gifted it to 4 of my closest friends and it really is a gauge of who can appreciate it, unfortunately. Thanks so much for its creation and a cool offshoot of this would be: A simple pad/trigger IAP or separate app that works with BITWIZ allowing quick capture of the audio playing (maybe simple editing tools to get pad snappiness and truncation) essentially the ability to put a BITWIZ audio bit right into a pad you can tap. Then do the same with 8 or 12 other audio clips or short samples - this, with Audiobus integration and maybe simple MIDI in for sequencing or a simple grid sequencer would make for a great little cosmic rhythm app with totally cool BITWIZZY style sounds. That would be fantastic for me because I am always getting a cool sound and then record it in the various ways possible and then have to wrangle it into another app... ✓ True experimental musicI have used similar apps before, but there's no space for anyone else after BitWiz :) It's not only glitches and noises (although I really dig this side of it). This really shines when you need that really retro chiptune sound or a different type of synthetic sound. You gotta really try it with MIDI and unleash it's full power!.Version: 2.3.8

The X and Y parameters open up so many possibilities. I'de like to see audio record (or a render function like in glitchmachine) and audio copy paste, but I'm not complaining... just a request. I have tried many of the synths in the App Store but this one is unique and creates incredible glitch sounds and because it takes code input is very powerful and intriguing. I just started to explore making sounds with RPN and bitwise coding and this app is worth every penny the x/function is awesome and the midi is great. ✓ Create Complex OscillatorsBitWiz uses bitwise expressions capable of generating complex rhythms which can loop over extended periods of time. The values of the variables in the equations can be controlled by MIDI CC which if sent by a sequencer can produce output with a rhythm linked to a tempo. Using an app that can generate MIDI by filtering/analyzing audio such as FAC Envolver can result in many happy experiments. The app uses very little CPU. I hope the developer will add AUv3 support at some point so we can generate multiple instances. The option to to scale the output to send MIDI messages in addition to or in lieu of the audio would be a very welcome feature..Version: 2.3.9

✓ Powerful Sound Machine!This is a very powerful way to create unique and interesting sounds. I've created some truly amazing sounds with this app and it just takes a little experimenting and you'll be pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of examples included so it is easy to start by just increasing numbers, changing letters or even adding things into the equation. The best results come from just trying things out amongst the code while you learn the basic controlling mechanisms. There is a endless range of sound possibilities with this machine, from almost soothing to nasty, and it's definitely an experience not to miss. I keep getting drawn back to this app with the desire for more great sounds. This amazing app now let's you record your creations and audio paste them into other apps. It also has a random code generator to help with discovering new incredible sounds, and has a great XY controller for real time manipulation. This is a real experience!.Version: 2.1

Unlike others, this app allows to type your "C-like" codes straight from the main interface, control XY variables with 1 or 2 fingers and save your new sounds in the user library. ✓ What a great idea.I buy a lot of synth and music generator apps to play around with. I really like this one. I find myself thinking about expressions more than I probably should. I would like to give it five stars. The only feature that I think is missing is some kind of social code sharing, and maybe another predefined variable on how many bits to truncate the final expression value. Another thing I'd like to see is the final expression numerical value. Not every frame but maybe like once a second. That way if your expression is dependent upon x,y,a,b values you would see a static number when not touching the pad..Version: 2.3.4

It's sound is great and the x/y pad can make a patch scream or wobble or hiss or pulsate. Very well done generator and the visuals are pretty inspiring and hypnotizing. I plan to incorporate with my sampling synths for sure. Just emailed to the Dev, Jonatan, and he is super responsive and even considered several features I requested. I am quite surprised by the harmonic variety you can get out of simple bit arithmetic (the theory starts with saws (mod) and squares (and) as fundamental units rather than sines)..Version: 2.3.4
