Previous version worked betterApp wants to add new features, but one of the main uses, ride wait times, is much worse in this version than the previous one. Please fix.Version: 8.2.9

Is this some kind of sick joke?Are you people on drugs? What is this? You took a really great and user friendly app and gave is this instead? Please tell me this is a joke and you're giving is the old app back. I was planning to attend this weekend but I won't be using this app if I still decide to go. If I do still decide to go, I will have to google a regular park map and save it to my photos, because this map is useless. It doesn't show any rides or anything like the old map and it's always oriented north-up instead of putting the park gate at the bottom like a park map should be. Fix this or I'm going to Holiday World..Version: 7.1.4

Better before updateI thought the app was more user friendly before the update, I wish there was an option to go back to previous versions. The calendar for park hours is hard to read, too many colors and they are hard to see. There are also too many pop ups and questions asked when the app is opened. I finally got it working once I enabled location, however, I don't need help planning my trip every time I open the app. Contemplating just deleting it..Version: 4.0.0

May be the worst app everThere is no way to adequately describe the horribleness that is this App. I am amazed that a company with as much resources as Cedar Fair would delegate app development and algorithms to what I can only assume is a 2nd grade intern. The only really useful thing the app has is season pass storage. The ONE thing people want to use it for, ride wait times is beyond useless and inaccurate. I’m talking 0 or 5 min wait on app equating to 90 min real time wait everyday, all the time never remotely accurate. Kings Island should immediately take down this app to further itself from utter embarrassment as well as the greater good of humanity..Version: 7.31.0

Crap AppThis app is terrible. Good idea but terrible integration with website. So you purchase season ticket, you get vouchers. You then have to go to website to register? I then added Dining and Drink plans which again say only voucher . So I go back and forth between app and website? Why? I should never have to leave the app. On the website it shows my passes and shows they have dining and drink. On the app you can “store season passes here”. I did and when I click on them they say dining plan ,but nothing about drink plan. I then click add to my Apple wallet it does but they say no dining plan inside the wallet. I don’t know if this is true or a glitch (haven’t tested) on the crap app. I want to use “My Wallet “ on my watch to enter and pay for everything. That way I have nothing in my pockets. My watch of course syncs with my phones “My Wallet “ so if indeed the saved card doesn’t actually have both plans on it my watch won’t be an option and I will have to use my phone and use app or website. App needs workI just want to be clear that I am speaking exclusively about the app, not the park itself. My family and I have a yearly tradition of visiting the park, so obviously we love the park itself. My dad and I both had the same issue. We ordered our tickets and vouchers through the app, but once you do, you have to retrieve an order number from your email receipt to enter them into the app. The only problem is that we didn’t get emails. We searched through every single email account just to be sure, we checked our spam folders but nothing. We both had to call customer service and they looked it up by our phone numbers. But to spend hundreds of dollars and not be able to find your purchase immediately is sort of scary. It doesn’t make sense that the tickets have to be uploaded by an order number that has to be retrieved from an email. Why aren’t they immediately available in the app since that’s where they were purchased? Make it make sense..Version: 7.214.0

Passbook support?A decent app that could add a few more features. Adding passbook support for ticket purchases and season passes would be great. Having my Platinum pass in Passbook to automatically pop up when I get near the park would be extremely helpful, plus if I just stop by the park for an hour or so I could just take my phone instead of my entire wallet..Version: 1.1

Just used this app for my first trip.Wait times say <15 minutes but they’re wrong. Said 40min for diamond back, we waited well over an hour. Banchee said <15min and we waited 50 minutes. The inverse one said <15min and we waited an hour. All of these were non fast-pass. This was the main reason I got the app so I’d give it 1 of 5 stars for this. I’m giving it two because the navigation was useful..Version: 8.2.10

Not accurate and needs workWait times not accurate at all, said 45 minutes for Banshee and we waiting 2 hours… and said 20 minutes for one of the alien haunted houses, we waited well over 2 hours as well. The app works on and off and often says “wait times will display when you are in the park” while I am in the park… Map is confusing and overall not a great app. The wait times messed up our whole trip..Version: 7.236.1

Rollercoaster wait times and closures are HIGHLY inaccurate.The app is fantastic for many options other than the rollercoaster wait times and closures. Unfortunately that's THE primary reason we use this app other than storing my family's gold pass info on my phone. The rollercoaster wait times are not accurately updated (although they usually state that they were just updated). The wait times are oftentimes off by 15 minutes or more. Also the closures are rarely accurately reflected regarding the status of rides, especially after is has rained..Version: 7.12.0

Not accurate at allWe are in park (June 2019) and the info on the app is completely useless. Wait time for Drop Tower shows 10 minutes and we’ve been in line for 30 with the ride constantly operating (no shutdowns to account for the extra time). Waited in line for Backlot Stunt Coaster for 30 minutes (again it was operating the whole time) and the app said it was Closed. Map walking directions tried to take us through a place closed for construction. A nice feature add would be to tell us when the Skyline runs out of food, how many Coca Cola refill stations are closed, and which water fountains are inoperative. Cedar Fair needs to give the app and the park a little TLC..Version: 7.11

Ok appI give this app 3 stars because it gives you just the basic to get by. Need to take a lesson in updates for what people want is RIDE WAIT TIMES. If I'm on international street and want to ride diamondback, how long is the wait? Let users input wait times that we be worth another star. The final star would be for alert updates on live shows or when a character is out in the park for kids to see. Take some time to invest in a better app for 2013 season..Version: 1.1

Wait times DO workUpdated review: I, like many others, was hugely disappointed in their updated app and made it known. I even called them to explain the issues. Here is what worked for me: 1. Before you get to park, enable always using location services 2. Open app to see if it get location before you enter the park and before (if) you connect to their wifi on the map 3. If step 2 doesn't work, disable KI location services on the phone then re-start the app and it will ask you to enable. Once it gets your location on the map, you're set to see ride times. Hint: Once on the map, instead of using the map view hit the button in the upper right and it gives you a list of rides and their wait times. To app developers: either fix the location service issues so that it works only when running the app OR make ride wait times show regardless of where you are...like Disney..Version: 7.3

The new version nearly terminated my account and deleted my passes which I payed a lot forLuckily, I had saved my pass on my photos and wallet, so I didn’t loose it. But beware; don’t update without a plan b pass. A lot of my friends are talking about how the new update completely deleted their passes..Version: 8.2.3

Not worth downloadWas at park on vacation and tried using their wifi and also cell network. Would say wait times of rides but going early in week was better and really had better times to go on rides than what app was reporting. I would figure bugs exist in app and would be close in reporting times to how long wit time was but the guest wifi did not work fast enough on light traffic at park. Save your time downloading app and just go to park during week and plan on a entire day of enjoyment. Fast pass not needed during week for rides..Version: 6.6.1

Missed opportunityThis could have been a great opertunity for Kings Island to really show off their park, However it is a very poor example of a modern mobile app. The map is very small and not very detailed at all. There are absolutly no bells or whistles to this app. The only extra thing on this app that might be of some use is the "find a friend" part, and that is assuming it works in the park at all. I will be going to Kings island in a few hours. I will see if this app is at all helpful and report back. But from what I have seen of the app they could have done soooo much more with it (not to mention what they could have done with an iPad version of it) It's sad to see a company blowing off such a great opportunity like this..Version: 2.0

No ride times unless you log inI downloaded the app while I was at the park, for the simple reason that I wanted to know what the ride times were. Unfortunately, in order to do so, you have to register an account to check that. I already have enough accounts with people and companies I barely go to and I don’t like creating more. And just to be able to get ride times? Bleck. Otherwise, the map, was okay, and the ‘go there’ mapping instructions was kinda cool. Figuring out food options was needlessly complicated by needing to select and open a dining experience to see what they offered (my daughter wanted a hot dog), but I’ve seen worse UI’s. Still, having to login to get wait times, when they also have monitors throughout the park giving out that information free also is really annoying..Version: 6.4

All marketing with no actual utilityThis app is nowhere near as functional as it could be. The park quit posting wait times at the entrance to the line for each ride. Would you like to check wait times on rides? First of all you need to share your location. Then you have to be in the park because they wouldn’t want the increased wait times that their fast pass program created to deter you from making the trip. Ok, so you’re in the park and sharing your location with cedar fair. Do you get to see if it’s worth the walk across the park right now? Nope you didn’t sign sign up for an account. An account that serves no other purpose than to collect your data and put you on a marketing drip. Frustrating and barely functional app..Version: 7.214.0

Tickets won’t addI knew this app wasn’t reliable for ride wait times before downloading, but figured it’d use it anyway as a way to keep track of my digital tickets and vouchers. I’ve been trying to add them since yesterday, and when I put in my order number for my tickets it just takes me back to the previous screen without adding my tickets or relaying any information back to me. This app doesn’t do a single thing it supposed to. It’s a glorified map. (and if you want a map of the water park, too bad.) 🙄.Version: 7.10

App needs a little work around wait timesI downloaded and used the app for the first time yesterday while in the park. The wait times were off for some rides. My kids wanted to ride in vertigo and the app said wait was zero wait time. We got there and there was a huge line. Same thing with drop tower. So I wouldn't count on the wait time being accurate all the time..Version: 6.7.53

Dining PlansOK, you're halfway there on the dining plans. Now you just need to indicate what items are actually in the dining plan when you get to the meals at the specific dining locations. Even the restaurants don't show you what items on their menu are covered. You have to guess! Help us put, please! Your digital menus at the restaurant used to have little fork and knife icons later year. Couldn't you add those to the app on all the food items that are included on the meal plan?.Version: 6.6.1

Map issuesThe park map is difficult to use, and location often displays in areas off walkways. It's just not calibrated well with the map. The map would be easier to use if it was a simple top-down view instead of 3D-at-an-angle perspective. Cannot display all attractions on map at once - either thrill, family, kids, food, or bathrooms... but not everything at once on the map. Wait times are not accurate, and you must create an account or sign into FB to access them..Version: 6.4

Would be nice if it did what it says it does.It's nice that you can have a digital copy of your season pass. It says that it gives you up to date ride wait times. When there the first time using the app, there were rides saying that there was no wait when In fact it was over an hour. When speaking to the employees working the riders, they informed me that they were not the ones who were in charge of updating them. This happened on almost all of the rides. Messages stay foreverApp for iPhone doesn’t add up visits correctly. To update ride times you have to close the app then reopen it. My main complaint is that I’m always seeing the same messages every time I go to the park. It’s July and the Peanut’s Celebration pops up with no way to “delete.” It’s also annoying as a season pass and funpix holder to see this message every time I come to the park (yes, all my info is in the app.) Also the soak city map isn’t functional in park. As a new season pass holder this would have been helpful. I’m more familiar with the regular side of the park..Version: 7.6.0

Info app zaps iPhone powerI thought our up coming trip to Kings Island would be the perfect time to upgrade to new KI app. We got to the park and as I looked through map I discovered the find your friends portion. In the amount of time it took me to get my pin & for my daughter to find and download the app then get her pin my phone list 5% so.. Deleted the pin and mad sure the location service was disabled on the KI app then only used it for quick info. Too bad it's such a battery killer. Maybe KI should invest in Iphone power stations so we can find our friends!.Version: 2.0

Kings island is not worth itToilets exploded in my face all of them were clogged and there were flies and other things in my food. Terribly mean workers who picked up my friend and threw him to the ground. He got a major concussion and has to stay in the hospital for a month.Version: 8.2.9

Sort of functionalYou can pull up the map with the rides, but ride times are often incorrect. When I asked someone (app said 10 min and wait was over an hour) they said ‘oh the times are controlled by the office at the front of the park.’ So someone is just guessing...??? Idk. Also, you can sort by ‘kids rides’ but not by height. That would be a nice feature when you have kids that are under 36” or at 36”, because they can’t ride most the ‘kids rides’ at that size..Version: 7.12.0

Go back2023 ap was much better. It’s all around harder to use and doesn’t give you as much info as before..Version: 8.2.10

Season pass keeps disappearingSolid app, ability to see wait times is for sure a good feature even if there not super accurate, but my main issue is my season pass keeps disappearing and I have to re add it, this is essentially annoy when in the park and I’m purchasing something and trying to use my season pass discount but when I open it it’s just gone..Version: 7.236.1

Not trueI was was told on the kings island app that the flight of fear wait time was 40 minutes i waited 3 hours then had to use the restroom and had someone save my spot, they wouldn’t let me back in, I even told them that I was going to the restroom so I waited 3 hours for nothing. On top of that I won a arcade game and they did have the prize you wanted but I told them that there was some in the wall they said that those are for decoration and I had to get something g I didn’t want and it cost me 40 dollars.Version: 7.36.0

Reservations RecommendationsI like the app. It has the ability to store all my family’s passes. When it comes to making reservations though, I’m forced to enter the 21-digit number on the back of each card. Would be easier if it just brings up all the stored cards and allow me to select which people are going. All the information is right there..Version: 7.31.0

My passes always disappearSometimes they come back. But they always seem to disappear and of course it takes forever to add them back on and it will never let me view my profile those three dots just keep bouncing and it never loads. Wish there was a way my passes would stay so I didn’t have to add them back every time we go..Version: 8.2.9

In concept it’s a good appI’ve been using the app for a few years and as a non pass holder it was great. This season I got my first season pass and it’s been very frustrating. My passes don’t show up when I open the app. I have to reload them, then the app gives me an error message, but then my passes populate. On Saturday I bought two one time use fast lane passes for the Beast, and I didn’t get to use them and wasn’t allowed to ride from the fast lane line because the app wouldn’t pull up the fast lane passes. Lost $30 due to the app not being great..Version: 8.2.9

Roll back to the previous version PLEASE!I halfway feel like I'm just adding to the dogpile of criticism for this new version of the app, but it deserves it. The previous version was easier to navigate, easier to manipulate, and easier to identify individual features. The current map masquerades as various gray buildings, when the previous one felt like a copy of the printed map available in the park - making it easy to orient myself. I could NOT get the directions to work, walk time never showed up, and most especially disappointing: wait times REFUSED to show up. I would get a message saying wait times were updated, and go, "What wait times?" TL;DR: The previous map looked and worked better, this current version seems sophomoric in comparison..Version: 7.1.4

Confusing and not accurateWait times are not accurate. The map for navigation around the park is glitchy. I’ll go one way and then half way to the destination it reroutes me in the opposite direction. Took me an hour to find the beast lol. Also needed the cash to card kiosk and it said the closest one was by the entrance but then as we we’re walking through the park I see other that we’re closer. Same thing happened with the bathrooms. Sent me on a 10 minute walk and then when I got back to where we were I saw a bathroom right around the corner. Not helpful, probably caused a lot of wasted time on our trip..Version: 7.236.1
