✓ Nice App but!This is a nice app but not enough different words from puzzle to puzzle as a lot of the answers are repetitive. Another problem is when the puzzle is complete sometimes it doesn't clear and you have to click next puzzle and abandon the one you just completed. A few puzzles down the road that puzzle returns. I would pay for the ad removal but not until the abandon the puzzle problem is fixed. These puzzles are almost identical to the Clean Crossword App that has a lot of the same problems..Version: 2.0
✓ Could be a lot betterFirst off, I did not care for the puzzle clues within the black boxes with arrows pointing to where they go. Very distracting. I was also very disappointed that there were fillable, adjacent letters that were not required to make a word or have a clue...that is the point of a crossword puzzle after all! I did like the pop up that let you know when certain percentages of the puzzle were complete, but did NOT like the full screen pop up ads. I had 3-4 in one half hour puzzle. My last suggestion for improvement is to have a "fit to screen" option so that you don't have to scroll/swipe around the puzzle to see the whole thing..Version: 1.2

✓ Cross-wordsAs crossword apps go this isn't too bad, bit disappointed at the number of free puzzles (15) but they're free. Only downside (but it is a major downside for me) sometimes you get 2 words side by side but not every combination the other way forms a legitimate word. ✓ Does not rotate, limited featuresApp only works in portrait orientation on iPad, does not rotate. Clues are actually IN the crossword, which is odd, and means there are no options to make text smaller so the crossword fits in the screen... it would fit the screen in landscape, with clues separate from the grid. ✓ I don't think they get crosswordsI like the interface very much. The app is easy to use and well laid out. The hint feature is nice. However, I don't think the authors understand how a crossword works. There are several "words" in the puzzles that aren't words at all. There will be, for instance, two adjacent letters that have no associated clue and do not form a word. The whole point of a crossword is to use the crossing words to figure out the missing letters! ✓ Not really crossword puzzlesThere are lots of two letter "words" which are not really words and have no clues. I think these puzzles are badly designed or possibly automatically generated. Since word crossings don't matter much, this is about as much fun as a vocab quiz. Another complaint I have is that the scrolling is not intuitive. ✓ Good interface, poor puzzle qualityGame looks very nice on screen. Having the clues integrated on the game board is convenient, especially on a small screen. BUT the actual crossword quality is poor. Some clues are very obscure, but I can live with that. The real problem is that the answers frequently include French words or archaic words, with no indication of that fact in the clue. The usual thing is to indicate in parentheses at the end of a clue when the answer is informal (inf.), in another language (i.e. Fr), or not in current use, etc. With good quality puzzles it would be a good game, although the puzzle packs are far too expensive..Version: 6.1

✓ Could be four stars.As an easy crossword puzzle, which is what I want, this is the best I've found in 'the store'. However one major problem is that once every ten or so puzzles you will finish a puzzle and the game locks you out from starting the next puzzle. The game is set up such the next puzzle is automatically presented after completion of the previous, this goes into a loop once in a while and even though you have properly completed the puzzle and have plenty of puzzles, that you paid for, remaining the game won't let proceed to the next and menus won't allow you to override this. I pay for intermediate puzzles regularly and though I find them a little expensive I think they are good easy puzzles with the exception of the occasional word that nobody would ever get..Version: 1.2

✓ Awesome app until it stopped workingI really liked this app. The functionality was good, the variety of puzzles were goo and I had purchased about 150 puzzles. But after iOS 9, it stopped working entirely. Tried to access support and their website didn't work. As in, there is no clue for at word so you end up with something like "sd" as a word. I am not sure if an oversight, laziness or just a different way to do puzzles (cause it happens consistently). ✓ REALLY IRRITATING APP!This app is really irritating, because of the ridiculous implementation of the highly intrusive ads. So much so, that it severely interferes with your ability to play, especially if you are timing yourself. I've nothing against ads in general, but only when they don't get in the way. It should be MY choice if I click on them. This is just a crude, blatant and insulting attempt to force the player into making an in-app purchase, just to make the flashing, intrusive, full screen ads stop. Shame on the developers.
