What is MyPoint Shade? Description of MyPoint Shade 2006 chars

If you work in a dark room or struggle with eye strain and headache, myPoint will dim your displays - this way it will care for your health and comfort.

myPoint allows you to adjust the brightness of your monitors. It can dim the monitors even more than the hardware limit. You can set black shade to mitigate bright and vivid colors, or white shade to view details in dark pictures. Green shade will relax your eyes when you read and write a lot.

The app doesn't change the monitor settings. Instead, it places translucent layers and dims your desktop and running applications.

Features:
Dim all monitors with a common all-screen shade.
Additional per-screen shade for up to eight monitors.
Shade includes level and color.
Change the shade level without leaving the active application - via hotkeys or from a menu in the menu bar extras.
Dim other screens at 100% black except for the mouse screen.
Eye care: the shade will fade in and out in a specified timeout.
Shade assistant will track active applications and toggle the shade automatically depending on user preferences.

Common myPoint panel for all settings.

✓ Great app!After installing about 5 different apps, finally found the perfect app. Some of the other apps I tried didn’t have independent control for monitors, so it was pointless because my external monitor’s lowest brightness is still too bright and I want to be able to independently set its brightness. Some of the apps that had independent control, had an issue where when you switch between spaces, the other space appears black. So it ruins the smooth flow of OS X. Basically they don’t work well with spaces and mission control in general. This app ticks both boxes and is perfect! And very reasonable price. Thanks!.Johnny_1155Version: 1.17

✗ Dimming keeps disablingIf I go on a youtube video and go fullscreen, or switch between certain apps, then the dimming turns off for a few seconds, rendering the entire app pointless. I’ve already wasted £3 on this and another app. How much am I going to have to spend until i find one that just dims the screen permanently instead of shining the laptop’s normal brightness into my eyes whenever i go fullsscreen or switch between apps?!?._Ro1010_Version: 1.17
