SonoPad for Sonos for Negative User Reviews

Waste of moneyHad to buy it to try it but what a complete waste of money. Doesn’t recognise most of my Sonos products, offers no settings and the time delay in the volume control makes it torture to use. Utter rubbish.Version: 1.13.14

Doesn’t Work at AllJust bought it...I want my money back..Version: 1.13.3

App needs updating badlyFinding your Apple Music is difficult and the interface to do this needs updating. Albums will load into playlists in disorder and not in order of album. Search mechanism needs work. All in all I would not buy again..Version: 1.9.3

Not that goodBought this when iOS 8 came out as the sonos one didn't seem to fit my iPad screen correctly. This app looks good, but the functionality just isn't as good as the sonos player. This app didn't pick up music in my iTunes library, and grouping or un grouping the speakers in the hours is a farce, often causing the whole system to stop playing...not that good, stick with sonos player.Version: 1.7.4

Not what I thoughtBought this because I thought it would allow me to play my iPad music library through my sonos speaker but sadly no! Got carried away with all the positive reviews and didn’t read enough of the small print!.Version: 1.11.0

App strangling.I nearly threw my iPad into the wall today; this app has again managed to delete my entire playlist that I spent months building up and refining. Delete removes the playlist, not the one song I wanted to delete, so next I used clear. That removes the playlist completely from the computer. If only you could strangle an app. Unfortunately it is the only thing that runs on the old iPad I use as a controller. All my other newer iPads and Sonos controllers are fine, it's just the one that has to run Sonopad..Version: 1.8.0

Labor of Love...Amazing...until nowWas great (see review below). Newest update crashes on launch. Useless. Beautiful app that compliments the Sonos experience much better than the stock app. The developer has paid so much attention to detail that you can feel it. You paid hundreds or thousands of dollars for your Sonos hardware, you'd be a fool not to spend a few bucks on this app..Version: 1.7.1

High hopes-but a no goWas exited to find an app that would work (the app from Sonos is a joke). But, this app is not a good as it sounds. It’s not intuitive. It doesn’t find playlists like it should. When it does and loads them, it doesn’t play anything even though you click the play button. It’s weird the way it does load playlists, then has to load them again in the play list-play side. The really stupid thing is, when I open the native Sonos App and got it to play (finally), THEN this app turned right around and was playing the same play lists. If I turned playlist off in this app, it auctioned on the native app. Just kluge. And while the developer is nice, there is simply ZERO help files out there. So now, I have paid for an app that isn’t working and difficult to use and a native Sonos App that is a joke and doesn’t work correctly at all. Which means, my Sonos system is now all junk to store in the garage. This is infuriating. I would not buy this again..Version: 1.10.0

Doesn’t WorkSimply does not work. Won’t find, recognize or play music from Sonos or iPad.Version: 1.13.22

Good App with some nice features.Having had my multi-Sonos setup for a few years I have a mixture of old and new products. This App solves the problems created by the new Sonos S2. Brilliant. I do have a couple of criticisms (naturally 😀). One is operational. When pressing the play/stop ‘button’ there is a considerable delay (yes only milli-seconds) but long enough to make you think the function does not work. The Sonos App works instantly. Secondly having paid for the iPad version I consider it very poor for the author to charge again for the iPhone version - so I will not be buying it..Version: 1.13.3

Nice app but annoying.I like the app but I get really irritated by the fact the play list covers half the now playing part of the screen, and you have to close it to skip or adjust the volume, I think it would be more logical to have it open on the other side where the homepage is as this part is not used when listening to music..Version: 1.13.22

Can't access iPad musicInterface is much better than Sonos, but I cannot access music on my iPad..Version: 1.7.4

Never got startedNo action just loading says nothing but just loading players..Version: 1.11.4

Just OKI suppose for older iPad users with no support in the official Sonos app, this is a godsend. For me it is OK, but certainly does not take the Sonos experience back to the early days of the iOS app. The constant updates and more recently adverts in the Sonos app are annoying and SonoPad is much more reliably available every time I run it, but I don’t find any improvement in functionality or ease of use, and often SonoPad won’t connect to my Sonos system when the official app will do. I also find SonoPad sluggish and unresponsive when controlling volume, and the shuffle function usually will not respond at all. I still use SonoPad but have found myself reverting back to the Sonos app more and more and tolerating the updates..Version: 1.11.4

Waste of money ...Very poor functionality. Will find my music via the network on my PC based media server, but cannot play it. Does not indicate in any way what the problem might be. Will find and play my iPad based radio stations, however if I look at any other music source via the Sonopad app while a radio station is playing, there is then no way to revert the view to the playing radio stationother than to try and manually locate it again..Version: 1.11.1

Why? Nothing to see hereWhy bother? It doesn’t do anything more or better than the actual Sonos app. However, If it played music from your device (iPhone or iPad) then it would be worthwhile. Otherwise, don’t bother..Version: 1.13.14

There's no muteSeriously? That's the main thing I was looking for. Is it hidden somewhere?.Version: 1.13.20
