✓ DessapointedThis app really have made lost a lot of money. It took me to route where no trucks are allowed. Made me do a turn to a dead end and i had a terrible night because of dad. The most recent was in New York area. When it sent me directly to a low clearance bridge and end it with a 3 traffic ticket. It really gave me a lot of problems. I don’t trust it anymore. I will look for different gps soon. Good luck for the new purchase people. Don’t bother to call support they will always have the right. Last time I sent message they not even answer me back. ✓ Needs Work ...This app has possibilities, but is very unpredictable. Slow, uses a lot of CPU and crashes. Very buggy. However, the app is feature rich, but the approach is wrong. The developers need to get out and use it. Manual waypoints on the fly is a must for a truck driver. I don’t need an app taking me to the front door. Being able to tap directly on route map redirecting me to the exact location is what drivers need. This app has added waypoints but it is clumsy and not very useful as it should be, drivers often don’t have waypoint addresses to time to manually enter or search. Tap on map to add waypoint is what’s needed..Version: 11.6
✓ Second Year, Don’t RenewI’m an OTR truck driver. The first year I used the SMART TRUCK ROUTE I used it as a back up and it was worth the money spent. I renewed this app thinking I would receive the same service. My mistake. About 2to3 months in, app was not pulling up addresses. I called the phone number I renewed with and with attitude was told after purchasing, that I needed APP VOL 2 cause my iPhone was dated. This should have been disclosed from renewal of APP VOL 1 wasn’t going to work anymore. After updating it worked sometimes, most often not. Now this app refuses to work period. I can type in a frequent address used, it says error. When I try to get an address to an Alabama Walmart, it pulls up the Atlantic Ocean. I would love to have the product that I started out with. This second year with this product has been a total flop. Do not get this app if you are a trucker and need dependable gps. You will be sorry. ✓ Not great for iPhone usersThis app gets the job done, but not without inconveniences. Such as the annoying pausing of my media playing in the background. It interferes with other programs and apps on my phone making my phone freeze up. I guess it needs a lot of data to do his job. As far as navigating, I would give that four stars by itself as far as the map refreshing after it’s falling asleep in the background, I would give that two Stars. That’s very annoying. ✓ The worst GPS app winner!I have never seen a worse GPS app. Everything except the map will be popping up so you can't see where to drive. When occasionally shows the map, it is covered with the street names and there's no way to see the route again. The next turn window is white and it's covering half of the screen. I will definitely remember this app when I need a truck route next time. Avoid it at all cost unless you want to get lost or get a ticket. Update: Developer says this looks like a spam. I don't know it's their app. I can't remember now what was popping up while driving but I do remember that I couldn't see the directions or map because of too many windows coming from your app. My phone is clean, and none of the apps behave like that. Using Google maps and Waze all the time and they work just fine. I think it's time for you to re-design the app from scratch. I'm definitely not installing that thing again. Good luck!.Version: 14.0
✓ AudibleWould like to k ow if any others listen to Audible in the back ground while using this app. I had sent an email to the developers many months ago about issues with listening to pandora or audible in the back ground. It used to lower my volume each time I was prompted to my next turn, nearby truck stops etc... Now it is just stopping my audible book all together. It does not stop pandora though. Sent an email and was asked to upload the new version. I have the latest version. Was also asked to put the app as alway on. I have it set up that way as well. Was told no one else out there is having this problem. Please write a review if you are experiencing the same issues. So they can fix this problem. I am also experiencing what a different reviewer stated. The app goes into a loop of getting the route in the middle of the highway. For no reason what so ever. Been getting routed through areas where no trucks are allowed. I know the developers want feedback, but when we’re in the middle of driving it’s impossible to send feedback..Version: 12.2
✓ One year inThis app seemed to work exceptionally when I first paid for it, but that changed through some updates. I would have it open and have to answer the phone, but when I clicked back on it the route was cleared and I would have to go back to it. It needs to be exact in this business and sometimes it’s close and others it gives an impression of turning one way, but you need to be in the opposite lane. Example, earlier I needed to turn right, but it told me to take the 3 left lanes, and once I got to the light it said turn right. Luckily I don’t drive blindly off of this app or any other..Version: 11.2
✓ App not worth it!Where do I start? App is very bulky as you must try and change settings it refuses to allow changes. Toggle buttons don't work. Does it route the best possible. Even a truck quickest why window mounted GPS gave better routing and quicker times that this app. No detail on the iPod/iPhone version. Can only put in one way point at a time. Map jumps around it doesn't let you get a large view of the area. It only looks at about the nearest 10 miles. Doesn't show much detail in the way of cross routes. Has no traffic support or warnings. Next to impossible to find a fuel location in another city without looking at 20 different stations. Not worth the price. Go out and buy a Garmin or a Rand McNally. You'll be better off. ✓ Issues have been happening more oftenI’ve been using this app for couple of years now, 5 to be exact. I would say for the past year. I’ve been experiencing a issue where my truck icon would slowly drive off the screen. I would have to exit out then open it back up. But later in the day it would happen again. A very inconvenient. I would email Support and would be asked to install the new version. I wish they would alert subscribers ahead of time that a new version is needed to be installed. I have to actually go in to see if Im up to date on the latest version. But over all over this issue. I like the app very much. It’s never (knock on wood) gotten me lost or lead me down a No Truck road..Version: 14.13
✓ You can do betterVery clunky screen(like watching a silent film from the 1920’s). Routing ok but would like other options without “route via” crap. I’ve spent 10 minutes carefully routing myself, then proceeded to drive then program crashes and you have to start all over again... nothing more infuriating. All the above issues pale in comparison to this last deal breaker... no traffic data... unacceptable. One 20 software blows this away and it was free. That company is no longer and their brilliant software died with them. Feel bad I even spent $12 on this junk. Simply do better!.Version: 8.6
✓ Minor adjustments would make it 5 starGood app for truckers overall, but the only things i find annoying are that when you type in a destination it only give you one route to take instead of bringing up multiple ways, and last but not least if you close the app it stops giving directions and when you open it back up you have to put the info in all over again. ✓ Does what it's supposed to. But needs workThe app does what it's supposed to on the cheap. But I have a few gripes. I wish the ETA were based on real time traffic conditions versus only current speed. I once arrived a whole hour after it said I would. I also wish the app would stop interrupting my music. ✓ Lots of bugs latelyWhen I first got this app in 21’ it was awesome. As time goes on it seems to be getting worse. Keeps telling me route restrictions but there is none. Tries taking me down restricted roads now. I have no issues with the price of the yearly subscription but I’d these issues don’t get fixed, I’ll be spending my money else where. I depend on the GPS being correct. The more I try getting the gps to work, the more my eyes are off the road..Version: 14.12
✓ You can’t try it!When you’re trying to make a decision between what your next truck gps will be you want to have the opportunity to try it out and see how it behaves on the road. This app will only let you use it for 1-2 hours and than it asked for money.... with a 3 star out of 5 rating one might hope they need as many professional drivers testing it out but I guess there is a reason why the developer doesn’t want us testing it in real life scenarios. I have downloaded both apps and I have 14 days to try copilot but not this one. I have a randcnally and I want to test the apps against it to see if I can make a reliable switch for my trucking company and to trust that drivers get at destination on time every time. ✓ Works most of timeApp crashes all the time. I have to restart app on every trip at least once. App support never responded to my gripe. Gives me directions to go down small residential streets all the time and some that post no trucks at the street. It is one of very few Trucking gps apps out there so it is a necessary evil. My $300 Rand McNally freezes up in big citys, hence me purchasing this app. I run this app, Waze, my common sense and my Rand McNally at once and I seem to do alright. ✓ App doesn’t stay awake since this morning on my iphoneThe app was pretty useful and I used it since January 2021 but this morning while driving the screen just turn off after 30 seconds. It was not like that yesterday night. Usually when using any GPS app( google,waze or the iphone gps app) my iphone 13 pro max always stay on. After seeing that , I tried with waze and everything was ok, I tried with google map everything was fine but when the smart truck route app opens after 30 seconds the phone is lock. ✓ Not for Canada or not for meHi, I was trying out your app and to be honest, it seems it just doesn't know its way around Ontario and Quebec. Most times when I put in a route and see the plan, I decide to go about it the old fashion way or just use google maps and take care for signs. The other issue is the volume is so loud compared to other apps I want running at the same time. I went for three months but didn't have time or patience for this app. Not renewing. ✓ RV travelers bewareNot good for RV travelers. App does NOT like to vary from it's chosen route. I purchased because I was making a month long trip thru the New England States. I understood that there were lots of older low bridges. We have a 13'6" big rig and didn't want to knock the top off. Not once did this App warn of a low bridge. I used for a week, then gave up. I did much better with Google maps in conjunction with "RV Parks & Campgrounds" which marked low bridge hazards on their maps. At times I would have all three apps open, so I had a great comparison going. I would not recommend for RVing. Don't waste your money. Would love a refund as I purchase 3 month use..Version: 6.3.1
✓ Failed when I needed it.I downloaded this app and paid $10 for a 1 week subscription. The search function did not work, rendering the app completely useless. The only place it would route me to was New York City, which is the default location. Five days later, the search function was still down for my return trip making my purchase a total waste of money. Although the search function seems to be working now, I would not trust it because it could fail at anytime, creating a potentially dangerous situation for users driving large trucks. ✓ Probably the worst app I've ever usedI'm not a truck driver so this was a one time use of the app for a move. This was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had with any app. The whole interface is poorly designed, the navigation is horrible and the noises and sounds were so annoying I had to mute my phone. I'll focus on the main use of the app, the navigation. If the highway is splitting into north or south for example, the app would tell me to take 278 north for example with no dictation of it being left or right. The symbol at the top left of the app where t should tell you to take the ramp on the right or left for example, is a an actual ramp and not a turn sign. ✓ Not bad..The voice is creepy. Don't think about listening to music while using the app, because every time the app talks to you again, the music doesn't dim, it shuts off completely. VERY annoying. Also, the app doesn't stay open. It sleeps with the phone when your phone normally goes into 'sleep mode'. It really needs to stay awake. Also, although it claims to have a '3D' mode, it doesn't. Your view is always from directly above. However, it does take you as promised along roads only for trucks. That's the good thing. It also needs to remember your favorite locations, like home, work, etc.. And it would be nice to remember previous locations searched, so you don't have to enter the same information over and over again.. And I remember there used to be several reviews on this app. They're all gone for some strange reason. Very peculiar..Version: 3.3
✓ Lousy customer serviceWill not work on earlier generations of iPad's. Contacted customer service and was told no refund, and that I should just upgrade to a newer iPad. Had to go through Apple for a refund. Don't believe the other reviews. All were submitted on the same day, probably by the developer and his friends. App is free but costs 30 bucks for 3 months. Since I had an iPad 2, it wouldn't go past the "no internet connection" screen despite that it was tethered to my phone. If you have a newer iPad, it may work great, but I'd contact them first before you buy..Version: 5.7
✓ Needs more control for audio alertsI signed up for a seven day trial period. Maybe this is a good routing app but I find the constant audio tones of upcoming turns to be beyond annoying. First because everytime the tone goes off it causes any other audio I am listening to on my device to completely stop playing and is a MAJOR distraction. Second there are far too many tones occuring. And while you can turn off the voice directions in the settings menu, there are no controls for these annoying tones. My advice to developers, make the app interface better with other media players. ✓ I paid for 3 years and now the app Won’t open!!!!I have been using this app for about 1 1/2-2 years now. I liked it so much that I purchased the 3 year subscription. Now I can’t even get the app to open. I still have at least 1 year left on this subscription. I left a review with my issue a few weeks ago but no response from the developer. Now I have to pay for a new subscription for another app and learn how to use that one. I would like my money back please! ✓ BewareIf you are thinking about downloading this app let me save you the time and money by telling you do not do it! I down loaded the app with a three month installment on my iPad mini and it has gotten me lost 10 times (and that is under exaggerating) and has shut off on me running one way from one coast to coast at least 10 times and half of those times were in vital situations where I was in the city and really needed it which is why I had gotten lost. ✓ Good and badThe app is pretty useful as far as poi’s go and it does a decent enough job navigating, however you should double check routes at are new to you especially construction sites ( flat bedder) as this app has on multiple occasions recently tried to route me on no truck roads and through actual sub devisions when there are truck routes available. It also recalculates the route tons of times for no reason like it does when you first start a route but it does it just going down the interstate and will do it multiple times in a roll, can be very frustrating especially now that you have to physically push a button that reminds you to check the entrance of your destination every time it calculates a route. In my opinion that feature is unnecessary and annoying, The people using this app app for the most part professional drivers that don’t need to be reminded of how to trip plan. I am running this app on an iPhone 11 Pro Max..Version: 11.8
