✓ Crashing all the time!!!Crashing all the time!!!.Version: 17.6
✓ Awful shamblesVERY unhappy... Lots of good points in the previous posts below, all supported. HAD to install this update as old app wouldn't accept login (website still does). I'll add the following: 1. I've had many years downloads via old app that I've paid for and had since first app launch and which I now have to download again. These prev downoads, at 7mb each take up over 1gb of my iPad and I'd tabbed many with key articles & research - all gone. 2. I Removed new app with Time machine (yes!) but old app won't accept my login anymore and requires me to pay (again) for editions I've already got. 3. Where was the user research, the beta test version, the options to choose? I could add more but save to say it's such a disappointment i doubt IC is worth keeping/using as an app: back to my paid for print version. And, iTunes wants a rating: 1 to 5 stars but won't accept a no star rating. That's my view "0" but it'll appear as a 1....Version: 15.0
✓ Room to get betterImproving but please leave no black space on top and at bottom for iPhone X users.....Version: 16
✓ Awful.I use it on an iPad Pro; when writers e.g. the editor and Chris Dillow leave the right hand pane empty, I get a revolving red circle until I leave the page - makes it impossible to concentrate on the article. I prefer that pane to be filled with the links, even though they don’t work! Worst think is Customer Services attitude to me on this, very patronising. I just wait for the magazine now. Completely unacceptable performance in this day and age..Version: 16
✓ Magazine ok App is terribleThe journalism on the whole is decent, and should appeal to the average retail investor. The app however is dreadful, feels like something from 10 years ago. Furthermore, and even worse, if you want to read a linked article, it takes you to a web page asking you to login, without any option to use your Apple subscription…basically meaning you can’t read it!.Version: 19

✓ Useless if you go offlineMost of the time it works great and you get access to a great magazine. But if you go on a train journey or holiday with no Wi-Fi, forget it. Never seems to remember what you have downloaded so you can’t red it..Version: 19
✓ Misleading?I downloaded the app onto my iPhone and iPad on the understanding that I could but individual editions on demand. I can find no way to do so - the only option is to take out a weekly subscription. Am I missing something or is the advertising for the app misleading?.Version: 18.0
✓ Don't invest in this oneSeriously, the company that designed this app should go out of business. The font size (even when set on the smallest size) is way too big. The column width is too narrow (having given up a third of it for a sidebar which on some pages provides useful links). The end result is that you get very little text on each screen and have to scroll a lot. So it's hard to read fast, yet alone scan articles. This is made worse by the loss of bold text for company names (which made it easier to skim through for references to companies you are particularly interested in). And then of course there is the loss of saved back issues. Genius idea to force users to have to re-download all their back issues. I have around 150 issues to download - on my 1.3Mb internet connection that is going to take days. Like others I will stop my digital subscription if they don't sort this out quickly..Version: 15.0
✓ DreadfulThe app has very limited functionality and frequently fails to find my subscription. For the price I am paying this is absolute rubbish..Version: 18.1
✓ Rubbish UpdatesEvery time they update the app I have to re-download all previous editions AGAIN & can only do so one at a time! There app designers are real Amateurs - school kids would do better.Version: 16
✓ Can’t buy issuesGreat when it works but randomly can’t purchase issues. Haven’t been able to purchase the last two now as the option to purchase doesn’t come up. The only option is “get” and when I click on this it just takes you to a picture of the first page. I live in a rural area so have to go out of my way to purchase a physical copy and I’m not going to subscribe as I don’t have a need for this publication every week. Thought the app was a solution to my circumstances but unfortunately it’s not fit for this purpose..Version: 19
✓ Change for changes sakeFurther to my review below. After 2 weeks I'm even less satisfied than I was before and that's saying something. The designer of this app should be shot, it's far too sensitive, fixed font and generally a backward step. Please do something before I'm forced to cancel my subscription I have to agree with most of the other reviews I've read. The only thing that's better is that I don't need to wear my glasses!!!The rest of the publication is not fit for purpose, the smallest text size makes each page difficult to read and I hate looking at spreadsheets that go from left to right instead of top to bottom. Please could we go back to the previous version?.Version: 15.1

✓ Delivered magazine to wrong addressAfter numerous messages lasting over 6 months and even sending their support multiple screenshots of my address (that they have on my registration) I have not managed to get any subscriptions posted to my address. 6 months worth of paid subscriptions all delivered to my old house. ✓ Borderline useless (but content is good)This is not a review of the IC magazine, I love it. If you care about your readers, read this and do something about it. The app so frustrating I actually decided to write a review as I couldn't finish to read one of the article: 1) When trying to scroll down as I'm reading it keeps detecting it as an horizontal scroll and often change page by mistake. Really frustrating especially because of next problem 2) Change page by mistake while halfway through a long article to then go back and being pushed back to the beginning of the article again 3) Download an issue but then it's images (e.g. graphs) are not really downloaded, so you realise in the tube there is no point to reading an article if you can't see the graphs! 4) New problem happening in the last couple of weeks: While reading an issue is crashes and then the issue is not there anymore so I have to re-download...several times Did any of the IC writers ever used this app? Loving IC but please fix the frustrating app :).Version: 15.1
✓ Good content, clunky app...I'm a recent subscriber to IC after spending a few weeks picking up the print edition as a trial. My review is of the app rather than the content (which I like). I think the app, which I access via iPad mostly could be described as clunky at best. I'm always prompted to pay to download the latest magazine, something the help desk told me could be remedied via logging out and logging back in. Hardly professional... It seems very easy to move to another page when scrolling down and then when you flick back, you're at the top of the page again which is very annoying. In case you're wondering if this is my own clumsiness, I subscribe to the Economist, FT ePaper and The Times and don't have the same problem. Finally, even when I've downloaded an edition, I never seem to get any of the charts or graphs unless online which is also rather irritating. This is clearly an unfinished app and not remotely in the same class as the Economist via Newsstand or The Times..Version: 15.1
✓ HopelessThe last two versions have been a bit unstable on my iPad2, but this version is so unstable its unusable. It usually crashes after a few seconds. Have tried reinstalling which just made it even worse. It won't even last long enough to download the pdf version. I have to use my Mac to read online..Version: 16

✓ A retrograde stepThe upgraded iPad version is hugely disappointing. The text is less readable, coming in one size only as it us no longer possible to resize the page with finger and thumb to suit individual preference. The constant reloading of the "More from our web site" column on the right side of the page is irritating and makes page-forwarding inconsistent. I already have a painful thumb after only 15 minutes' reading. Scanning quickly through the whole magazine with the one finger slider has been lost. The overall impression is that of a triumph of form over function. Was this ever tested with ordinary subscribers? You have just lost one..Version: 15.0
