✓ Not what I wanted.Some how I thought this would help sync my google contacts with my iPhone. If it can I cannot figure it out after an hour of trying. The Sync option does not send an entry in gmail contacts to my phone. I originally gave 1star but I am changing it to 5. I sent an email with my problem. Within hours I got a response. They subsequently solved my problem The contact that would not sync was in a group called others. I do not know how that happened and I know nothing about groups. (That now is on my to do list). ✓ UsefulThis makes for a more complete and useful sync experience when used with the developers other contact sync apps as it adds the capability to assign and edit groups to contacts, as well as send group texts and emails. This you would do before syncing to e.g your gmail account. Tasks which are currently limited and clunky with the existing Contacts app. Not yet a replacement to the default contacts app but a nice start..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Not so greatI was using A2Z for about a year. In the beginning it was great. But with each iOS update it became much slower. It performed with a “hangover.” I reached out to the developer and they resolved the issue (a few days later) with their own update. Back in business. However, when Apple sent out an iOS 11 update that’s when A2Z took a 💩on me!!! Every group I had created was either emptied or severely compromised making them virtually useless. After contacting A2Z again all they said was... yup sorry we know, it won’t happen again. You’re so right A2Z... I have DELETED the app. Bye-Bye!!.Version: 3.2.4
✓ Solved Apple issuesMy Contacts and Phone built in Apps were just showing blank screens and were not usable. I had about 250 contacts and discovered in iCloud that the 5 or 6 groups I had created had duplicated numerous times. This was clearly overloading the system and trying to delete them one by one would have taken a lifetime. Having tried other third party Apps without success I found A2Z which has solved the problem. It backed up my contacts and then deleted the groups (over 23,000!) very quickly. The Apple system now works again, but I will be keeping A2Z as a trusty and reliable backup..Version: 3.2.4

✓ Excellent: Syncs ios 13 with MacBook, inc GroupsOn updating to ios 13 the iPhone's integral Contacts app failed to keep the lists of contacts in the Groups I'd set up, even though the lists are still all in the Groups on my MacBook. It just kept the titles of the actual Groups in the iPhone. (Very annoying, as all the earlier ios's worked properly.) But this A2Z app has turned out to be excellent, it has helped me sort it: it's got a very simple & quick method to manually go through my list of (1,500!) contacts so I've been able to repopulate each group very easily directly on my iPhone. When I then sync (with iTunes) it syncs the changes correctly (in either direction) with my MacBook. ✓ Great tool that apple should have already incorporated into contactsThe “groups” function on iphone is pretty stupid if u ask me, I got a new mac book and only like half my contacts were synced to it while all my contacts remained on my phone. After working with apple support for an hour we ran out of options and they gave up. I did some more poking around and found this app. I was quickly able to send all my contacts on my phone to my mac via airdrop and then my mac updated all the contact cards. The 2 dollar premium was easily worth it to send all of them at once. Apple should have already had the ability to do this, but this is a good replacement.Version: 3.8.2

In the send email function, it allows editing of an address but often sticks. The nice thing is it seems to save the changes, but it is necessary to reboot the app to finish the email. I read this criticism online before I downloaded the app, but I also agree with another comment that said that person liked the privacy policy. So far, it is a good guarantee of individual privacy. It has some quirks, but seems to be getting better over time, and I haven’t found anything better so I keep using it. This A2ZContact software accomplishes that, but not necessarily in a seamless fashion. The manual or instructions for using this software is somewhat sparse, but is better than no instructions. It does what it claims it can do and one can not therefore beat up the software author in that arena. I am pleased also with the privacy terms and conditions especially and therefore I would give it an excellent review just on that note. ✓ 5-stars when kinks are fixedIf only I didn’t have to worry about notes disappearing…I have to copy all I write, close the contact and re-open it to check to see if notes are still there or if they must be pasted back in. At worst I have to paste them in 3 times before they stick (when I make a contact from “Recent” calls). At best I don’t have to paste them back in at all. Best results: add notes in edit mode. The other bug is even bigger: haphazardly erases addresses! It’s hard to tell if this has been fixed because I regularly discover missing addresses but am not always sure how old the contact is. I would say that it happens less often than it used to and I’ve been using this app for at least 5 years..Version: 4.3.1

✓ The features missing from Apple’s Contacts appTo my amazement, Apple’s own “Contacts” app for iPhone or iPad fails to enable you to create a “Group” of contacts, or to manage your contact “Groups”. This app enables you to add that very valuable feature to the management of your contacts. It enables you to create a Group that then allows you to send an email to that Group, with the Apple Mail app automatically filling in all of the email addresses for all of the members who you’ve included in your Group. However, I have had issues on quite a few occasions where only part of my group is receiving the text messages that I send out. Also, I have put in a request a few times and would love to see an option for scheduled text messaging. The owner has responded quickly each time and said he would be implementing that and just has not been able to yet. Would love to see that in the very near future. ✓ Finally, a Contact Keeper that Works!I’m very happy with A2Z Contacts & it’s Group Contact tool. It’s easy to add, edit, delete, connect contacts. ✓ Pretty good for a simple improvement on iOSAs long as the numbers are in your phone already or you manually enter them in your regular contacts you can then create lots of categories and pull them into the groups. You can name the groups as you need. The groups appear alphabetically, so if you have a lot of categories better make them with names so they appear near the top. Tech responses to questions was excellent during setup EDIT - A further 6 months on and with iTunes now dropping sync of Contacts from Outlook to iPhone I am now using this as my main go-to reference for contacts. I communicate with several large groups and being able to send messages quickly and efficiently and effortlessly is a truly a blessing. This app integrates with my contacts so I don’t have to manually add them but I can if I choose. The only limitation on the the number of recipients is with my carrier but that is easy to overcome because I can set the number of recipients the app does all the work for me. ✓ RickI have come to rely far more on this app than on Apple’s address book app. This app makes organization into groups much easier. I have it synced to the gmail or google cloud. Just make sure your not also syncing your Apple computer address book to the cloud at the same time. If you do, you’ll get a lot of duplicates, and in my case old outdated info that gets merged all together with this address book. It’s still a little confusing at times as to how to set it up and add new names to groups, etc. But once it’s done it’s easy to use..Version: 3.5.3

✓ Good and badIt is very efficient at handling contacts and mailing to big groups. I don't mind typing on the I phone as we travel although the message goes below the keyboard and won't roll up so you have to hope you are typing correctly until you finish. But the big burn that has me ready to throw the phone against the wall is the ease with which the message disappears forever before you are done. Look at it sideways and it's gone. Check the time, answer a call, open another screen, fall asleep while typing and gone. No chance to find it saved as a draft or to save to complete later. Only one choice, start over! Seems like such a basic feature, I don't understand why there is no way to save as a draft. Nice spell check, however!.Version: 3.5.3
