Fantastic, most inclusive app but a few improvements need to be made- The "total count" of habit completion is literally a total count of how many times you've completed the habit. It really needs to be a streak feature like nearly all other habit apps. - habits need the ability to add a description to them. - unlimited checks on habits would be great. For example, if you complete the habit more than what you've set it to in the app you can't record this - sub habits would also be a cool feature - you are unable to see past events from synced calendars. This is the most ridiculous downside of the app and I've never seen another app do this. - the mobile app is a bit confusing design wise. The iPad and Mac apps on the other hand are amazing. - "dark mode" support would be a real bonus.Version: 5.2.14

Notes disappear when you sign upOkay, your app has been very helpful. I didn’t sign up for a long time. Tons of notes. And then I did sign up to start sharing, and to my horror every single note just got lost in the transition, your app has a major major bug and you should fix it. How careless to not test upgrade.Version: 6.6.60

No template easy access on ipadTemplates can be added easily when creating a task on iphone. On iPad there is no way to do this..Version: 5.9.18

Unreliable & inconvenient NPLCurrent Todoist user here. I’d been trying out TickTick because I like the idea of being able to replace my calendar app, pomodoro app, and habit tracking app with just this one app. I really enjoy the UI and the UX but I won’t be switching to TickTick (at least for now) and here is why: PROS (because props where it’s due): 1) Clean, attractive, and modern UI: reminds me a lot of Things 3 but with the benefit of more functionalities. 2) Highly customisable Settings: I like how much control users are given over how they want the app to work and look for them. 3) Swipes on tasks: I like having Delete as one of the Swipe options so I can do it fast! Without having to do multiple clicks! 4) Pomodoro timer: looks good, customisable, works well. Definitely could replace pomodoro apps. 5) Calendar: pretty advanced too, since we get multiple views. 6) Habit tracker: looks good. Definitely could replace specific habit tracking apps. 7) Description and sub-tasks are on the main task view: I like that I only need to click once to access most the tasks’ details. 8) Cross-platform: yay to a Windows app! 9) Generous Free version: surprisingly a lot of functionalities offered are available for free like attachments, locations, tags, flags, and settings options. Usually a lot of those are only made available with a subscription in nearly all other apps. 10) Good and reasonable subscription fee: around 30$ is a really good annual price for an app that offers so much! I’d happily get it if I were to choose TickTick. 11) Can reorder tasks in today view: I like that views aren’t automatically ordered by time/priority. CONS: 1) Natural Language Processing when adding/editing tasks: I’m used to picking by typing in the task name—using convenient shorthands—the Priority, List name, and tags. In TickTick, doing all that is a lot slower because the symbols for those add-ons are not made available on the main keyboard. So I have to click more if I want to type, say, tags right into the task name. Now the dealbreaker—the NLP doesn’t work well and is therefore unreliable. A lot of times, the subsequent add-on deactivates the previous add-on. For example, if I write “task #errands” then write “today at 1700”, the tag #errands turns into plain text (I.e. becomes part of task name) rather than staying registered as an added tag. 2) Selecting all/multiple tasks requires too much clicking because I have to go to the menu at the top to get to “Edit Multiple” option. Would be better if I can press and hold onto any task in the list to activate multiple select. 3)No drag & drop: I can’t select, hold, and drag a task from one list into another..Version: 5.5.10

Lost dataJust lost all 5 years of data because of updates no longer support Twitter login😭😭😭😭liked the app tho.Version: 7.0.00

App on the declineUsed to be a very solid app and it was quite useful to keep track of simple tasks, However they keep removing features and adding them to the premium subscription.Version: 6.6.85

Watch FaceTickTick (Number of tasks) no longer available on Apple Watch face….Version: 6.7.15

Going backwards - cannot currently recommendI am a very experienced and long-term GTD to-do app user and I have used almost all the platforms out there. This is the second time I have updated this review and sadly I am downgrading my rating of this app substantially. The TickTick folk seem to be overwhelmed with the app's success and unable to keep up. Their responsiveness to support enquiries has dropped off badly. Worst of all, background sync has become a universal problem with the app - previously it was best-in-class. Numerous users complain of this and nothing has been done to address it for months now. Compared to other to-do and GTD apps, functionality is fairly powerful and usability is pretty good, once you get used to its quirky approach. Lack of sub-projects is a shame, with the checklist option per task only a partial solution. And a limited set of annoying reminder sounds is ... annoying! I would love to recommend this app, but cannot until they sort out some fundamental problems, especially background sync between platforms..Version: 3.4.51

Great app with a massive flawReally love this app in so many ways, great UI and the fact it is cross platform. However, there is one major issue that is a deal breaker for me. That is syncing, specifically background sync of the iOS app not working at all. As an example, if i create a task on my Mac or Apple Watch it does not appear on the phone app until the app is actually launched and manually refreshed. This is frustrating if I create a task on my Apple Watch, as the phone app is just not aware of the task until I actually go into the app and force it to refresh/sync. This means in some cases the phone app will not notify me of tasks (because it doesn’t even know they exist!). This is a massive deal breaker, I mean one of the primary functions of this app is to notify of important tasks and it can’t always do that! It’s not just me either, search online and users have reported this issue multiple times over the years. The dev responds saying they are looking to improve the background automatic syncing but it’s still a problem. I was all ready to pay for the premium upgrade but now I’m unfortunately uninstalling the app. Such a shame..Version: 5.8.70

PremiumWhatever you do, don’t sign up for premium. most scammy app ever. doesnt even refund full price when you call them out on it..Version: 6.6.60

Could be better - boasts some critical flaws.I want to preface this review and say that, overall, I like the app and find it useful and I use it daily. That said, there are some major problems with how the app works when creating and “ticking off” agenda items. When I open the app to check off an item oftentimes a different agenda item is check-marked instead and shows up as completed. If I am not paying attention I can miss this fact and then my agenda item that I was supposed to do shows up as “completed” when it has not actually been done. I find this flaw intensely aggravating. Another issue is that I seem to be unable to move agenda items around in chronological order once one gets shifted or dragged out of place. Once that happens I can not get the day to return and must wait until the next day for things to go back to rights. Lastly, when I am creating an agenda item sometimes the box disappears and places the item I had not finished writing into the agenda list. Unfinished, unflagged, often without a time or date either. Then I have to go search for it to be able to finish setting it up. This happens at least a few times times per week, although this is not as much of a critical problem as the checking off of incorrect/random agenda items that have not been done..Version: 6.3.90

Date issuesI have been using this app for years and have no complaints. But now, all of a sudden it pushes all my tasks one day back. This happened to me few days back and I fixed it manually but today it happened again. This is too much hassle to push all the tasks a day ahead again..Version: 7.0.01

Great app but free version too restricted & poorly disclosedWith Wunderlist’s end nearly upon us, I thought I’d give TickTick a go. Initial impressions were really positive and I imported my Wunderlist lists across and deleted my WL account. Only then did I discover that I couldn’t accept shared lists from anyone else because TickTick has lowered the max number of lists on their free version to 9 lists only. This 9 list limit is frankly inadequate and, most importantly, really poorly disclosed - buried in an FAQ amid plenty of older, obsolete TickTick content suggesting a 19 list limit. Fairy irritating..Version: 5.5.61

Crippled functionality on free versionThe primary interface view for me is the monthly calendar view. I downloaded this and it is unavailable in free version so this is not great. I used this for about 1 minute until I found this out, then deleted the app. I understand free versions are limited but having prime functions not working at all?.Version: 6.1.90

Inability to add events not as tasks is a deal breakerI tried the premium version for all-in-one tasks & calendar suite and this app has nearly everything I want, but not being able to add an event item to the calendar without it also showing up in the task list is a deal breaker. Not all events are actionable tasks and I should be able to time block events on the calendar without it cluttering up my task list..Version: 6.6.87
