No customer careI had Vinted for 8 months and was going great, had so many clothes to sell from my two little children and things that they never had worn, sold over 800 pounds worth of things and in return made Vinted plenty of money, I also bought many things in return and found the concept really good. However, one day my teenage son bought some Pokémon cards online not knowing their fake, and when he received them he was really disappointed, should have known due to how little he paid but since he didn’t know what to do with them I said let me see if I can sell them on Vinted to see if some parent might want them for their little kids to play with. I check out other people that were selling Pokémon cards and found many people that were selling fake cards written in the description, so I thought okay as long as I wrote down their fake and explain it it should be fine as everyone’s doing the same, thought wrong. I was instantly permanently blocked from Vinted. I wrote to them and got nowhere. I just think this was way too harsh, they could have temporarily blocked me as I have never broken a rule before and been a great buyer and seller making them plenty of money in return (had sold over 160 items) however no, no customer loyalty or care, seen it happened to many people for much less obvious things, not happy, there goes many more bags of children’s clothing to the landfill due to their silly rule, Not happy 😡.Version: 23.41.1

Lack of communicationThe lack of user support is horrible. All you get is automated messages and then you are ignored. Their artificial intelligence mistakes items for something they are not, such as a candle holder. You get a message in regards to your listening being deleted and prohibited, they send u a list of items that are ok to sell and it will list candle holder as an ok item. You appeal the decision and get yet another automatic response with a persons name on the bottom stating it’s a prohibited item. Totally disregarding the fact it’s a picture of candle holders, u state it’s a candle holder and then they call u a liar and delete it. The id verification is a scam. They ask you to up load your drivers license, they verify it with a confirmation message stating it’s successful . Then two weeks later they send you a message banding your ability to withdraw your money from your wallet due to not verifying your identity. You message them and they send you automatic reply stating you didn’t verify your identity correctly. If that’s the case then why send a confirmation message saying it’s successful. To me it seems like they are scamming people and selling the personal information on the black market if they are continuing to ask for your id and social security number. I used to love this app. Now I’m going to contact lifelock and make sure they aren’t stealing my identity. I suggest anyone else being told to constantly re-verify their identity do the same..Version: 24.5.0

Not a happy buyer! Sick of itI loved this app. But I am so sick of people selling stuff and not sending it. There is no policy in place for time wasting sellers, you basically wait 2 weeks to get a refund if the seller doesn’t send because vinted will automatically refund you 5 days of no sending, and then it’s 3-5 working days for a refund. These sellers are continuously allowed to sell even though they don’t send, and all vinted do is give automatic feedback from vinted for not sending the parcel. I don’t no why you wouldn’t want to put something in place for us buyers who love the app but are so fed up of buying things that never get shipped. I contacted vinted because I’m a big vinted user for buying and selling, I was told they can’t help and they ended the chat. Can someone please come up with some sort of terms and conditions for sellers that don’t send the items like 3 strikes and a ban? Not forever but for a week Atleast. Like if you right an offensive comment on Facebook your first ban is 24 hours, the next ban is 3 days, the ban after is 5 and the next is 7 days. Why can’t you have a policy in place like this? It’s customers like me who will delete the app today because we’ve had enough. Silly people wasting people’s times and just holding hard working earned money for nearly 2 weeks. Generally goodI’ve sold things on Vinted and found lots of good deals too. However, there is a major problem with people wanting to make sales through PayPal instead. This is such an easy way to get your money stolen, I cannot send money to a stranger on PayPal friends and just trust that they will send my order without anyway to get a refund. I tolerated this until someone stole 20€ from me and deleted their Vinted account. If I buy something through the Vinted system, there is a high chance that the seller will cancel my order and tell me that I have to buy through PayPal. Even as a seller, people refuse to buy through the app and they want to make an informal sale through PayPal as well. On apps like Mercari, you get banned for mentioning PayPal sales, and Vinted needs to do this. There needs to be real consequences for PayPal sales, because it is allowing people to easily get scammed..Version: 23.25.0

Good.. for the most partIt’s a great app for buying and selling but i have a few bones to pick. One of my listings got deleted for ‘copyright’ reasons cause i used a singular picture from the website which I bought the item i was selling from. My issue is that i paid to bump the item and vinted refused to give i refund because i ‘violated’ their rules, which i guess is reasonable except for the facts that 1. They don’t make it obvious that you can’t do that and 2. They delete the post STRAIGHT away instead of just a warning to remove the picture or something along those lines before deleting it, which would be much more reasonable and less hassle for sellers. Another thing was, when i reuploaded the product i assumed i could just message the people who favourited the item and tell them it’s back up so i don’t have to pay for the bump anymore, but no. Vinted, instead of just making the sale in the chat delete, makes the ENTIRE chat with the person disappear so i couldn’t even get the names of the people who saved it to tell them they can favourite it again, meaning i had ti spend money on the bump up once again. they don’t cost much but i don’t really earn a lot and i feel that vinted has wasted my money to an extent and it’s just unnecessary..Version: 23.27.0

Any issues? Vinted don’t want to knowA few times I’ve had to interact with customer ‘support’ 1) because my account was locked out due to Facebook account migration errors, this was never fixed and resulted in £30 worth of transaction lost as I couldn’t send an item where I could access buyer details, e.g. address 2) where buyer claimed parcel was never delivered but it was, as verified by courier… Vinted simply didn’t want to know. Worst of all every time you attempt to respond to customer services (no phone number) through messenger a new ticket is created, meaning you never actually get to have a conversation with ONE person, instead your issue is thrown around the whole office with no one taking ownership, it’s so tiring having to explain your problem again to every new ticket and customer service personnel, it seems to me they create and arduous and delayed system to reach any sort of resolution with customer services, for the sole purpose of avoiding the issue and KEEPING YOUR MONEY! Vinted is an absolute joke of a service, works well when you don’t need them, i.e. you just sell your stuff to people, using their app created many moons ago, BUT as soon as you need to contact Vinted you’re faced with an invisible entity full of spectral message dodgers..Version: 21.29.4

Don’t buy designer goods on VintedMy account got banned instantly for selling “counterfeit goods” the second I listed a bag I was looking to sell. It’s clear authentication is being done either by customer services or some sort of software. The point being whoever did it has no qualifications to do so. Fair enough some designer brands have “fakes” that are hard to tell apart if you’re just looking at a picture but this is not the case. The bag is authentic, I offered to present proof of purchase to however was interested but was not going to share my receipts on the images as I’ve seen other people do as they have my full name and address on it and other information I would prefer not to share. I was surprised to see how quickly they where to ban my account without even an option to provide proof to them or having any sort of communication. I was also surprised as I’ve had a browse trough the app and spotted plenty of bags that are clearly fake. I’m not an authenticator but I am a full-time restoration artisan and work on luxury designer bags on a daily basis. Whoever is moderating Vinted listings for counterfeit goods has probably never seen any in their life. Will not be using Vinted or recommending to anyone in the future, specifically for anything that requires authentication..Version: 22.5.3

Deleting the appThe one positive thing I can say about this app is I do actually like that the fees are paid for by the buyer and not the seller, which to me makes the most logical sense. So my one star can be attributed to that. However, after a month of buying items on vinted suddenly my card is not being accepted. I’ve deleted and tried to reauthorize, tried a completely different card, still nothing. Mind you, I have a vinted balance from selling so the card shouldn’t even be a factor. Anyways, I reach out to customer service and two days later as expected I’m just met with perfunctory responses and platitudes that do not relate to my issue in any sense. I understand if there’s glitches, no app is perfect however none of this makes sense to me why I’m suddenly unable to buy items on this app, with no resolution. I’ve read other people having this same issue with no response from customer service as well. I’ve withdrawn my funds and as soon as it hits (which I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t because this is some sort of scam) I will be deleting this app. If you do decide to download this, do yourself a favor and go to your cookie settings on the app and turn of all unnecessary cookies so your private information (i.e precise geolocation data) is not sold to thousands of companies..Version: 22.18.1

Scammers who commit fraud!I’ve been using vinted for so long and honestly thought it was the best app until recently. I had invited a friend to the app. They followed all the terms and conditions for me to be able to receive my friend invite vouchers (£15 worth). Listed 3 items within 7 days and sold within 30 days. But vinted are telling my I can’t have my vouchers. For about a week vinted were accusing me of committing fraud saying I had created this second account which is completely untrue. And when I finally got it In there heads it wasn’t my account they then started coming up with any excuse they could to not give me my vouchers. Apparently my friend didn’t meet these terms and conditions, when in fact they did. And when I ask what they did wrong they can’t seem to tell me. There’s a group on Facebook run by people about vinted and so many of them have had this exact thing happen to them. We’re promised vouchers and are not honoured them. Which is classed as fraud! I’ve also seen post from nervous people saying vinted keeps withdrawing money from their bank. So they’re stealing from us to. They have the worse customer service I’ve Ever seen. I’d AVOID!!!! It’s not worth the hassle and potential of being robbed. I’ve reported them to trading standards so hopefully they get shut down..Version: 22.4.2

Great for buying. Dreadful to use.Really easy to buy, click on the item, arrange delivery, pay, Job done. But it is an atrocious app with bugs and not properly monitored by Vinted. All the Notifications in the list disappear when I look at only a couple of them, even if they are old and previously read. Return to the Notifications list and it goes back to the top and I always have to scroll down to where I was. Items have disappeared and reappeared on the Notifications list when I have been going backwards and forwards between the list and some items. The items are too small on the list and they are awkward to read. I have complained about a duplicate advert for an item and as usual nothing has been done, they say they can't see anything wrong. There are items being miss-sold under other brand names. I don’t know if it’s deliberate or if the sellers don’t realise what they are actually selling, but Vinted do not check the products. A number of items will have a specific brand name on the product or even no name, but Vinted allows them to list it with the brand name they choose. It does make it very difficult trying to find a particular item. I have complained more than once but as usual they do nothing about it..Version: 24.6.1

Gone downhill. Be ware of tech scammersVinted used to be so good when it was something cute started by a group of women but now they’ve become money hungry and kind of lazy. Scammers are finding loopholes around things and Vinted just say well the policy says…. Anyway pls be aware of scammers selling tech products. I was scammed or £64 over AirPods and Vinted didn’t help despite me explaining how it wasn’t my fault. I said this to them- Your policy is to confirm that the product looks and is as described which works fine for clothes but you as a business chose to start letting people sell tech and very obvious reasons creates problems when using that refund policy. How is anyone supposed to know that some AirPods are fake just because they look real. This is absurd and utterly ridiculous. I’ve used Vinted for years and lately I feel so let down. Thank you for absolutely nothing. What’s worse is we’ve looked and there are so many other scammers on Vinted doing the same thing. Fake AirPods are being sold to people and you don’t care because it’s all about getting your share of the money. - They just said because you confirmed the order they can’t do anything. Ridiculous people running this siteI was new to the site, I started posting my listings. I sell on multiple platforms. In the middle of listing items, they blocked me while posting a authentic highly name-brand purse. Sending me a message that the items I am listing are fake. I have never had a issue selling any of my items that I have paid a lot of money for and resold for a third or half the price because the quality is still very good and well taken care of. I would give them zero stars if I could and tell people definitely do not use them. There are plenty of sites so much better and won’t give you any crap. Those sites also, if they have questions will contact you first. Also mentioned my photos were copyrighted, when you can clearly tell they are taken on a blanket laying on my bed. If they were copyrighted or not taken by me, they would have looked more professional..Version: 22.42.1

Crooked scam artistsI have used this app for many years. It was much simpler when there weren’t any fees. Now as a seller they allow you to keep your entire sale price which is amazing-however… as a buyer you are charged a buyer fee, the fee is sketchy at best and does not offer anything. This app is the worst absolute worst to buy from because if item received is not as described support will not only deny your claim but also close the ticket so you aren’t able to reply to them. I have been spending around $400-$500 a month to buy on here and had a pair of $10 pants that came to me almost torn and after submitting over ten photos the claim was denied and closed. The fee and the app offer no protection as a buyer, I do NOT recommend purchasing on here and seeing as they don’t care about my business I will be searching for another Avenue to spend my money. No support you can’t say I didn’t reach out to support and you can’t say anything because you left a customer in the dust and your greed will be your downfall. Small businesses are suffering.My account was deleted after a year of having it. i shared handmade jewelry at affordable prices, not “looking to generate a steady income” as stated in their message. the unprofessionalism that was represented today is disturbing. this app does not support small businesses whatsoever, does not support people who have hobbies, and is only looking to generate money for themselves. you should be thankful to have users of this despicable app, who PAY to have their listings seen. within an hour of switching to this, “new app”, my account and every listing was deleted. I was excited to see such an affordable shipping option presented. but this app has no care or concern for its users, both buying and selling. with the outdated, overpriced clothes for sale on this app, you should be thankful that small businesses and people who share their hobbies with people even listed any items in the first place. the algorithm doesn’t exist, if you pay, your listings MAY get a few views. it is heartbreaking to have had this app for so long, while just now having my account be deleted. i am appalled that this app is striving for the death of small businesses..Version: 21.34.2

Do better.I am very disappointed with customer support. A member of the community just had everything on her account removed for possible “Commercial Activity.” Which is absolutely ridiculous. She is a popular member with 640 reviews rated 5 stars. (@fun78fiesty) The first thing that is wrong with your decision is that you have 0 proof that she actually committed this “Commercial Activity” how could you even possibly prove this? And secondly, even if she was, you should be thanking her for bringing so much money through the app. I personally know that people on the app do buy with the intent to resell and that is 100% their decision. They should not be penalized for making you money. I know that Vinted Week has been happening for years. So I’m not sure as to why the thread for this month was removed. Care to explain? You should be thanking each and every one of us in the community for creating the same sales that keep your app running. I honestly am so upset with customer support that not only members of the community has received, but also me personally. Part of me wants to just delete the app completely and go to a different one. Less than 0 stars if I couldThe app is difficult to use because of the way it organises your purchases as chats with the seller. It’s very hard to track the status of the purchase or report issues out of this chat. The help centre sends you in circles. Vinted is an awful business who charges for buyer protection as a transaction fee without offering any protection. Taking no ownership and refusing to help after 2 days of the purchase, even if the item was counterfeit, is ridiculous and disgusting. Customer service of course based overseas, not understanding the nuances of a question, rude, copy pasting text to me rather than answering my question, then ignoring me especially when I pointed out the T&Cs say Vinted want to receive photos of the fake items but no one asked me, they couldn’t care less. in fact if you carefully check their help centre, they might not even refund for fake items even if you report within that 2 day period. Protecting scammers and sellers of counterfeit goods to the detriment of buyers is a bad business model which will fall apart soon enough, it shows Vinted is only in for some quick money out of unsuspecting buyers. Never thought I’d say this, but eBay is much better, doesn’t charge me for buyer protection yet they always protected me if the seller misrepresented the product. Scam companyI’ve been selling on here for a while, had a few mess abouts but that’s expected when selling. i’ve had over 30 5 stars. In the past 2 month i’ve had 2 people get to keep my money and my clothing. Just recently, had a woman receive a jumper. She at first said it came puffy, how can a thin jumper go puffy? She then put a complaint in and sent in photos. Said it was discoloured, it’s the same exact colouring as i bought it as and picture. Not in good condition, only thing was it was bobbly. You can remove these by a lint roller but it was stated that it isn’t a brand new jumper and has been worn. And lastly, it was sweaty. It was washed before i sold it. My bio has no returns or refunds in it simpli because of the first time the buyer wanted to return it and i accidentally refunded her first and she never sent it out, partly my fault that time but vinted didn’t help me get my money back. They never told the woman on her rudeness towards me using swear words. So when i got in contact about this, they answers the first two times no help whatsoever and the next other two where i started demanding my money back or else, they didn’t respond back. i will never be selling on here again. Unfair support systemI had been selling and buying on vinted for almost a couple of years, everything was great and I found the whole app easy and straightforward to use. However I recently uploaded some unused cosmetic items to vinted, and detailed using photos and in the description that they were unused, as I had done with many other cosmetic items I’ve previously sold on there. And one day vinted just temporarily blocked my account for a couple of items they deemed to be violating their rules by claiming the cosmetics were used products. I went along with the ban and once I had access to my account again, they blocked me immediately again only this time indefinitely with the same reason that I’d uploaded used cosmetic items (these were even older items that I’d uploaded months earlier and didn’t appear to be a problem at that time!). It’s really frustrating as they say you can appeal the decision but it’s pointless as they just respond each time with pretty much an automated response saying that you ‘broke the rules’ and can’t use the platform again. Really infuriating as I had lots of items to sell and loved to buy on the platform. Their ‘detection methods’ for used beauty cosmetics and authentication of clothes seems overly sensitive!.Version: 24.5.0

Terrible return policy !!!! Watch out !!In general, this app is great. You buy what you want, it’s sent, and there are no issues. But every once in awhile, the seller in accurately describes the size, condition, or brand of the article, and you receive something two sizes smaller or not at all n good condition, etc. In a case like this, If you want to be reimbursed (since your item was clearly falsely advertised), Vinted agrees to reimburse you but ONLY if You (the buyer) pay for the postage fees for the return. This is absolutely ridiculous given you already paid the postage fees to buy and receive the product,on top of a “Vinted Insurance” which supposedly meant to cover you in cases such as this. Why wouldn’t the seller, who incorrectly marketed their product, be responsable for paying the return postage fee ?! This makes no sense. After numerous messages with both the seller and Vinted team, I was told to essentially just deal with it and pay the seller the return fee. So I end up losing about 5 dollars while she pays nothing, even though she sold me an XS jacket when it was supposed to be a small , and she said the brand was a totally different brand than what I received. So buyers beware - if the smallest mishap happens, no one here is on your side ! I am literally shocked at the lack of customer service Vinted offers and am beyond disappointed with how I was treated.Version: 21.43.1

DisappointedI enjoyed this app for about 4 months. Was easy to use and liked that they didn’t take a percentage of sales out like every other site. And shipping prices were the best I had seen which made it seem like it’d be a very popular app. Personally haven’t had any problems ordering items or selling and getting my money. Then out of nowhere the prices for shipping basically DOUBLED without warning or given reason. It was sneaky and not noticed at first since nothing was said about it. Makes it completely undesirable for me now as most of my items were listed at $5 or less, and every shipping option costs more than that. Small items shipping went from $3.99 to $6.92. And medium is now nearly $13, JUST TO SHIP. That doesn’t include any envelopes, boxes, tape or other packaging materials you have to buy. Nobody is going to want to buy a $3 shirt and pay nearly $7 just to receive it. Price gouging the heck out of customers AND sellers. Cannot speak to any sort of customer service but robot auto-generated responsesLoved vinted and the concept and the ease of it all until this point, where there’s a problem and I cannot seem to get any help or assistance to resolve an issue. I’ve tried contact customer services via the app and email and it’s just responded with robot emails that are not genuine help or responses! So frustrating! I sold a bag on my account and shipped it via Yodel, new days later she received it and when I clicked on the tracking details it said delivered. But there obviously must be a fault in the system because it said I still hadn’t shipped it? Therefore my buyer said she could never confirm that she had received the bag as it still said I hadnt even shipped it. Anyway I asked her if she had received it, she said yes, and the next day I get a notification saying ‘You did not send the item so your buyer has been refunded and the transaction has been cancelled’ ??? Then I received a 1 star again ‘auto-generated’ review saying I cancelled the order ? So I am left out of pocket for an item that I have sent and she’s recieved, and confirmed she has recieved with me. I just want to speak to a normal human being to resolve it because it’s totally unfair on me..Version: 22.41.1

Control Freak appThis app used to be awesome when it first came out, but as of right now it passed so many rules that it basically turned itself into a dollar tree app. You can’t post anything of real value on here because if a buyer makes any kind of claim against you they give the money back no questions asked and you have no money and no item. I had several listings taken down because someone reported them as web photos when they were not. I had to jump hoops to get a real response back and then they were put back up, taken down and then put back up again. later on, more were taken down. they claimed I was selling for commercial purposes. apparently they didn’t like my tags . and then I had listings taken down AGAIN because they don’t have size XL in women’s I listed as 1X even when the listing description says XL. it just goes on and on. i’m currently shopping around for another app to sell on. there is very little traffic on here since they scared all the good sellers away. it was once a really cool app- you could find cool sellers with cool stuff. Now it’s a Dollar Tree..Version: 22.43.1

-5 would be betterVinted used to be pretty good,USED to be! I’ve gotten some decent deals as a buyer on here..but they charge a “buyer protection fee”…which is just their way of scamming some money because there’s no buyer protection bc you can’t get ahold of customer service and when you do..chalk it up to you lost your money !! As a seller….forget about the rules and guidelines that they have on their site to protect you in case of lost or damaged mail (even tho it’s out of your hands after you ship)…oh YOU are still responsible! They cancelled my order (as a seller) bc Usps delivered to wrong address,tracking was provided,trips to get printouts from Usps etc..doesn’t matter! They cancelled order and said nothing they can do so I’m out $ AND my items I sold! They tell me to stop contacting about this because I’m congestinf the system !! Really?? Absolute worst by far customer service ,generic responses and not a single rep bothers to read anything you send which I think they do it on purpose so you’ll just say H3LL with it! I will be making my experiences known as much as I can so everyone can see how they are!.Version: 22.2.3

Takes too long to receive moneyIt’s a ok app to make some money on, and sold a few items but they need to speed up the process for the seller to actually receive their money. Think I would rather have to deal with getting messed about a bit on FB marketplace, as at least i get the cash instantly. I understand Vinted have to protect the buyer but it’s ridiculous how long it takes. Once a item is sent the seller has to rely on the buyer to mark as received and tbh some of the buyers are not very responsive and so you spend your time messaging the buyer to mark as received. Vinted does say if the buyer doesn’t mark as received then your pending balance will become available after a certain time but the timeframe is so long, for instance sold something last week and if the buyer doesn’t respond and mark as received, Vinted won’t release your money till like 3/4 weeks later. Luckily I have never had to wait that long but I would say 9/10 of the sales I do i have to keep messaging the buyer to mark as received which sometimes takes a few days. Then when your funds do become available to transfer this needs to be made instantly as it still takes like up to 5 working days for your money to clear into your bank. Sorry but we are living in a world where we can send money instantly now so I don’t understand why this takes so long. For example i transferred some money last week and still now to this day 3 working days later it still hasn’t cleared..Version: 22.37.0

Scammers HeavenDon’t bother with this app, you may as well just flush your cash down the toilet, and at least you’d be spared the frustration of knowing you’ve been robbed. Bought an item that turned out to be counterfeit and the Vinted team could do absolutely nothing about it. You see, Vinted has this “buyer protection policy” that is actually the exact opposite of what the name promises. Once you order you have to: 1) confirm you received your order, if you don’t THEY WILL DO IT FOR YOU automatically after 48h. 2) confirm there are no issues with your order, if you don’t within 48h THEY WILL ALSO DO THIS FOR YOU. Once these 2 steps are in place, regardless of wether you completed them or Vinted’s bot did, there is no way of getting money back. Needless to say that if you were to look in their policy there’s all sorts of reassuring points about how counterfeit items are considered SNAD (significantly not as described) items and is not tolerated and will be refunded. However, what is not included in that first policy paragraph is that once they accept the order for you, you loose all rights to buyer protection, and of course, to your money. The customer service is as useless as it is rude so just save your money and go somewhere else..Version: 23.50.1

Shipping fees spiked with no warning beforehandThe only advantage that Vinted had over its competitors is that it would let sellers see how much they’d be paying for an item with the buying fee (whatever you’d like to call it) included. They didn’t just spring it at you during the final steps at checkout. Unlike Etsy, Mercari, and eBay, sellers didn’t have to worry about Vinted taking a huge bite out of their profits after selling an item either. Unfortunately that’s about all the good things I can say about Vinted. Unlike their competitors eBay and Mercari, who encourage users to list as many items as possible, Vinted actively DISCOURAGES this. They’ll arbitrarily claim you’re selling for profit (duh?) and threaten to suspend your account. Then to make things infinitely worse, they suddenly raised the shipping fees with little to no warning beforehand. Small parcels used to be $0.99; now it’s $6.92. Larger parcels faired worse with medium parcels being about $13 and large parcels being about $24 to send now. Simply absurd..Version: 23.37.0

Vinted profits off fake items!!! AVOIDI received a counterfeit purse from an account that had already been suspended by Vinted for selling fakes. I received two items the same day and accidentally marked the fake one as “received” instead of the first parcel I’d opened. But upon opening the purse seconds later, I realized it was fake and that in fact, VINTED HAD ALREADY SUSPENDED THE SELLER’S ACOUNT. Vinted’s customer service is terrible, you can only contact support via messaging in the app, and you receive mostly automated responses. I have explained the situation countless times and they refuse to even continue the conversation with me, saying simply that the payment has already been released to the seller. Obviously this is not possible because the account was already suspended by Vinted. This means that Vinted is pocketing the $100 I was just ripped off and keeping it for themselves! I keep asking them to amend their refund policy for this type of situation and they won’t even respond! In other words, Vinted is knowingly profiting off the sale of counterfeit items on the app. Completely unethical and counter to all of Vinted’s other policies.Version: 23.21.0

Terrible app, bans you every 2 seconds.This app is terrible for selling. Mediocre for buying, but if you want to sell go back to Depop. I went to make an account, and apparently I already had one because it didn’t let me use my number as it was ‘already in use’ but they also refused to let me log in using only my number, as I don’t know what email I used. I contacted customer service, who basically ghosted me multiple times. I finally managed to make a new account, and the moment I listed something I was banned. It was a Ralph Lauren sweater, and they were banning me because they thought it was fake. I had literally taken photos of the tag, the branding, everything and it was a freaking £50 jumper. Not £500 Gucci for crying out loud. I got it appealed, and they unbanned me because they were wrong. Like two days later, they banned me again for something else, and after getting it appealed they took over 4 days to reply. Yet, when I didn’t respond within 24 hours I was permanently banned. A couple weeks later, I managed to find the email to my old account and logged in, guess what? I was banned. Why? “For making multiple accounts” this app is absolutely useless. Please beware of monster high skullector resellersSo I made the mistake of buying an elvira skullector doll for $80 since that’s the cheapest I could find her secondhand atm, but that should’ve been a red flag- but I was too hopeful to see it. i thought I was actually going to receive it because I know people purposely price cheaper on here than other resale sites. man was I wrong. first my package was returned to the seller due to “addressee not being found” even though I used my correct address that I’ve used for many orders. I then asked the seller to relist because I believed it was an error on the post office’s side, but they we’re probably trying to protect me. when they relisted and shipped, what I got was not elvira, but some stupid halfway opens box with c0vid protectors!!!!! wish usps would’ve resent again. now the seller is unresponsive and I can’t get my refund unless I PAY for the reshipment! Buyer’s protection fee!Great little platform for easy buying & selling, just one issue; Their ads state no fees which isn’t correct as there’s a ‘buyer’s protection fee’ added to each purchase made. I was aware of this but assumed because of the title given it would probably come in handy somewhere down the line. I was wrong! I purchased something, it was badly wrapped and had broken in transit. I contacted Vinted who were less than helpful and offered me advice such as, come to an agreement with the seller & contact the courier. As the operator decided she couldn’t help me, I had to help myself, she took it upon herself to select that I had received the parcel & everything was ‘ok’. Therefore, after trying to contact the seller, she had no interest because I had ok’d the item (I didn’t) and had her money and the courier only wanted to discuss with the sender. So I had to admit defeat, I was never going to see any money and I threw the item away as it was too smashed to salvage. I contacted Vinted again and asked what exactly was the ‘buyer’s protection fee’ was for, to be told; this doesn’t cover this sort of issue, thank you, good bye. I’d still like to know…? Very bad app and conceptThe app and their concept is so bad that I deleted the app and don’t plan to come back ever again. There are so many things done in a wrong way on this platform that I would need a book to write it all. Comparing to the competition I couldn’t find one thing done better here. True, they don’t take the selling fee, but what they can take, when the only thing they sell on the platform are things worth $1 or max $4!? Every time you try to post NEW things with the tags the system will tell you that similar things sold on this platform were $1!? So if you want to sell things for $1 go ahead, this is your place. What they don’t take from your $1 item, they will take in advance for promoting your closet and the items you want to sell if you decide to promote it. So every item is not treated the same unless you pay upfront and you would pay for something that there is no guarantee that it will be sold!? Who would do that!? So wrong on so many levels! Blocked within an hour!I was so excited to use this app, but within an hour of setting up my account and uploading photos of a pair of boots that was gifted to me that I had never worn as they werent really my style, my account was blocked. All this took place quickly, I was given the option to appeal and was asked for proof of purchase. In my appeal I specifically said that this was a gifted item for a birthday which I had never worn (as shown in the images of the protective tape still on the soles) and that as it was a gift, I couldn’t exactly ask the person who gave them to me as a present for a receipt. I was then contacted by a nameless customer service agent asking for more proof (without stating what this entails) and gave me 24 hours to do so! Not only this is inconsiderate but assumes I spend all my time on an app. I am a middle aged woman with children and a demanding job so I will not be responding to a half-baked nameless customer service agent whose request for information was lacking guidance and frankly very presumptive of the availability of my time. I cant even use the app to email them and complain. This is my first and last time I will use this app as there are other ways to sell items in case their customer service agents have forgotten..Version: 24.10.0

Worst selling appI use multiple selling apps to enhance my sales. This app is the worst one of all. Literally the slowest sales. Everyone is super cheap and items I post here are already like $5-10 and even some $2 just to get rid of. The uploading process is not that great. I reallllly dislike the fact that buyers send you an offer and then I accept just to get rid of the item and then I must wait for them to accept my acceptance. That’s so dumb! Like getting your hopes up because they don’t often buy them after offering so why offer on the first place. The only thing I like is that the price that you sell it for is what you will make so it’s easy to see. But right now I finally had a $2.50 sale last night but the label is no where! I’ve emailed support for help this morning, it’s been 10 hours already and they haven’t gotten back. It’s ridiculous. I do not add new items because of the slow sales and cheapskates on here. Vinted aiding scammerA empty account bought my £995 Loewe bag, delivery was successful, then the buyer says bag was stolen from the box, only left with dust bag and tissue wrapping and stuffing. He took some blurry photos showing empty box with all wrapping and dust bag, then Vinted cancelled my order instantly, refunded the buyer instantly, without any investigation and notice, I didn’t even know it was cancelled until I saw the order listing, that it has been manually cancelled by Vinted. Why is there no investigation? Why is there no email or any notice? That empty account buyer was obviously a scammer, instantly changing profile photo from a white woman to blank, when I asked for social media for proof of identity of name and person. So that scammer got my bag, got his money back, and Vinted just refunded him within seconds after he filed a dispute, no explanation or investigation. I asked Vinted support why would this happen? The respond I get is all the same bot copy and paste. ‘Sorry you experiencing this, we are working very hard to investigate and will update you shortly’ Investigate? Investigate what? The order already cancelled by Vinted and money is already refunded back to that scammer, and my bag was already gone. What are you investigating? I’m already seeking legal route to file court claim against Vinted. So disgusting, 0 customer support, 100% supporting scammer. And the app is filled with bot account and fake product. DisgustingIf I could give this god awful app 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. I was so excited to use this app in order to clean the clothing clutter out of my room in a fast and efficient way while getting money back with no seller fees. Everything was going great until they decided to BLOCK me PERMANENTLY for selling an item I made an innocent mistake of listing as a “jaded London inspired” Ali express dress. I honestly had no idea that they would do this because every other clothing resale platform doesn’t seem to have issues with people noting knockoff or cheaper items as similar to brand name pieces. When I tried to reach out to customer services apologizing for my innocent mistake and that I would never make it again, they simply said they could not unblock me because the app is primarily run by AI and non human servers, so it’s not reversible unless the item is recognized as “authentic” by a LITERAL NON-SENTIENT ROBOT. I cannot log in without a phone number, and they have been obviously now been programmed to automatically block any account making or login attempts with my phone number, and obviously I can’t make an entire new phone number just to make a whole new Vinted account. Great concept terrible customer serviceThe concept of the app is great in terms of giving clothes and other items a new home and I use it for a lot of things. The majority of sellers are good and reliable. When it works, which it does most of the time, it’s brilliant. However, I’ve now used it for long enough to know that on the occasion when something goes wrong, the customer service is ABYSMAL. This is particularly galling as you pay a ‘buyer protection fee’ each time. Examples include: - very specific categories to raise a query or complaint that don’t cover all problems and no other way of contacting Vinted. - a different customer service person replying each time who clearly hasn’t read the previous correspondence properly and will advise you to e.g. try something you’ve said that you’ve already done. - a glitchy app experience which asked me to provide photographic proof of receiving an incorrect item but then provided no means to upload the requested photos or even respond to point out this problem. As outlined above, there is no other way of contacting Vinted so couldn’t let them know about this problem and after two days they considered the matter ‘resolved’ and closed the case..Version: 23.21.0

No customer service.Vinted is fine until something goes wrong. I recently listing some vintage Denby table ware which is allowed under their arbitrary list of what is and isn’t allowed in the listings. I know it’s allowed because there are similar items, just in a different design listed in their so called catalogue. My listing was banned with no specific explanation. I reworded the listing so it was almost identical to another similar item on their. Banned again. I contacted them via the app and via twitter over a month ago and I’ve had no response. At the same time I listed as gravey boat that is part of the same set. That was allowed but no-one has looked at it even. It’s from quite a sought-after range so I don’t believe no one wants it. I just don’t think it’s been shown to anyone. I had a similar experience when buying too. They guy I was buying from caught covid so there was a delay in completing the sale. He explained this to me and I was fine with it. They cancelled the sale automatically. Both of us tried to contact them to explain but again no response. These are the only two times to date I have tried to use Vinted and both times there have been problems. Horrendous refund policy and buyers protection fee is a complete scamGood app for selling but buying is awful. i bought a top which was listed as very good quality and had no pictures of damages or had any listed in the description, but once i opened the package, the top had multiple gems missing which had left holes in the top. the neckline was also ripped. i requested a refund and am notified that the seller has requested the item be sent back to them which i am expected to pay for. buyers have to pay a buyer protection fee which provides no protection as i’m now not going to get a full refund on my item which isn’t even good enough quality to give to charity. i’ve read some messages on the vinted forum and have noticed many people are having the same issue, vinted need to change their refund policy! i have messaged vinted support team multiple times and am given the same response each time that it is their policy and i must work out a solution with the seller, who is refusing to pay for the return shipping cost. there’s also no option to leave feedback on the seller once you choose the refund option so others won’t be warned of this sellers incompetence 🙄 the support team are useless and provide no help. lesson learned, i won’t be buying from here again!.Version: 23.17.1

Not workingConstant error messages and app freezes/crashes all the time. Today I cannot access my account at all. Something logged me out of the app (not me, every other app on my phone is working fine) when I try to login app freezes. Customer service is… well… computerised? Even if you get through to a real person you get the same messages generated by a computer. Useless if you really need help with something. They can also take money from your balance as they please, refund the buyer without you even knowing. If you buy anything you got 2 days to confirm you received it etc, after that transaction is considered completed (if anything goes wrong after that you on your own, they just tell you to contact police or try to resolve the issue yourself) If you using the app use it carefully. Most popular items on sell are scams 😕 Vinted deletes many of them but not all! Always ask for extra photos of something specific to be sure, or stick to accounts with 10-15 positive reviews at least. Don’t keep money in your Balance, payout regularly, ideally straight after transaction is completed. They have £700-£1000 selling threshold limit, after that they lock your balance (you cannot pay it out) until you pass their ID verification. Then you free to withdraw your balance. Sometimes it takes a while for them to verify you though. There are certainly other more reliable & customer focused places to buy or sell clothes online..Version: 23.20.0

HorribleDon’t use this app. I have lost two sales on this app and two is enough not to use it anymore. 1st sale was lost because the app never emailed me the shipping label and they said to cancel the order and re upload it and have the buyer buy it again. How does that make sense? Why can’t they just send me a brand new shipping label like other apps do? Of course the buyer didn’t buy it again because they thought it was my problem, but it was the app problem. Second sale was lost because they email the label, but when I printed the label it only printed half it. I know it wasn’t my printers/computer problem because I sell on other apps and I printed their labels throughout the day and when it came to print out his app label it came out bad. I told them and they emailed me another the label in a different way and when i tried printing it again it didn’t work and then they blamed me for it. This app is just a waste of time. Unable to see my account postingsI have been on Vinted for I would guess around five possibly six years and have loved it but for the past few days for some reason, I cannot see my closet any of the clothes in my closet I can’t adjust prices I can’t see what I’m posting I get messages etc. etc. however after going through many automated messages telling me what to try to look for to fix I had done all that and it wasn’t any of those problems. I check the iOS my phone has been updated. I checked chrome Safari everything signed everything’s fine. Disappointed with it the more I use itI always use this app to sell as I love the no fees! But the whole thing of both the buyer and the seller having to confirm everything makes it difficult! I’ve had sales where I’ve sent items out, tracked all items myself to see if and when they got delivered. But when the buyer doesn’t confirm it on their end it just leaves problems. So then it gets cancelled and the buyer gets your item for free pretty much! And the customer support does nothing! Even provided proof of the tracking receipt and they just told me ‘unfortunately because you didn’t send with the delivery the buyer chose’ that they can’t do anything. I live in the middle of nowhere and all I can do is Royal Mail. I put this on every item so the buyer knows. I even paid £3 more for the shipping than what the buyer paid for! Then trying to get through to the buyer and they just doesn’t respond to see if they’ll pay again if you reupload just to get no reply. I would of expected customer service to of helped! An utter waste of timeI downloaded Vinted as I thought it might be a clothing-focussed version of eBay. I made three purchases on the same day, and of those three purchases I kept one thing which I was moderately happy with. One item arrived with a number of holes in it having been described as ‘very good’, one arrived over 12 days after I’d ordered it and a third didn’t arrive at all - there was some sort of postage mix up and I received a hat instead of a shirt. Fair enough, these things happen, unfortunately though neither the seller, the courier or Vinted seem to be able or willing to solve this. I have had several conversations with Vinted (each time with them threatening that failure to respond within 48 hours would result in me losing the chance to take it further) - they have now stopped responding to my requests and have just left it as ‘we are waiting to hear back from the courier’. Seeing as I have paid for the shirt and have no recourse of action (they don’t allow PayPal payments for instance) I am left waiting for two businesses who couldn’t care less to summon the goodwill to help me out and refund me. At best it is a poorly conceived and managed app, run by pirates whose idea of ‘customer care’ is to shrug and say we have your money, not our problem. Steer clear..Version: 23.2.0

Poor customer supportThere are a number of aspects of Vinted that I like on the selling side, but unfortunately customer support leaves a lot to be desired. I am unable to spotlight my closet or bump my items because it keeps saying my credit card is not authorized. There is enough money in the account and it has been entered correctly. I have been having this issue for weeks and have contacted Vinted several times but it has not been resolved. The last person I spoke to told me to verify my identity by uploading an ID to a link they sent me, but there was no where to upload the ID. When I explained this, they said “just follow the process on the website” even though there was no process. They then resolved the ticket even though the issue was not resolved. It’s strange that they are making it so difficult for me to essentially purchase a product from them. I was able to bump a couple of items the first week I had my account, but then this started happening and like I said, I’ve tried numerous times in the past month to get it resolved to no avail. They are quick to flag an item if your photo doesn’t satisfy the algorithm yet they aren’t there to help with technical issues. With Depop (one of their competitors), customer service can be tricky to reach but at least they respond to Facebook messages. I thought it was bad when Depop took a week to fix a problem I was having, but Vinted has taken a month..Version: 22.29.2

Concept is good but work neededThe idea of vinted is really good and when it works it works well. However there are several very annoying issues with it. - Adverts are pulled for breaching guidelines and yet they don’t explain which guidelines you’ve breached. I had a porcelain figurine pulled several times even tho nothing I could see was in breach of the guidelines and yet no one messaged me to explain what was wrong with the advert. Just had a generic message each time that wasn’t helpful at all. - Sellers can’t choose which deliver option they’d like to use. This is up to the buyer and if they pick an option you can’t facilitate, tough luck you best cancel the sale and upload the ad all over again. - There aren’t many categories to list thing in. I was trying to sell a China face doll but the only category it would put it in was Toys > Dolls. Same thing for a decorative plate. It wanted to put it in dinner-wear. We need more categories! - I also find that notifications don’t disappear even after I click on them. Which is annoying because it’s constantly telling me I’ve got a new notification when I haven’t..Version: 22.35.2

Long term user…But lots of BUTS!So I’ve been using this app for over 7 years, first resell app I’ve sold from. I love that they don’t take out anything from your sales, decent shipping prices, let you add as many hashtags as you want and create/reserve bundles. What I absolutely hate about this app is that at any given time if they feel that you “violated” any of their terms they’ll just delete your post, so many times I’ve uploaded an item (beauty specifically they tend to do this the most on) and they’ll just delete it even though the item isn’t opened or swatched and then you end up seeing someone post the same exact item with same descriptions but their post won’t get deleted. I also had a time where a Coach wristlet was deleted just because they thought it was imitation when it was authentic. Contacting support when they do this is pointless because once they delete your item you can’t create a help ticket about it to even state your case on the matter. I really enjoyed this app for many years but I’ve had much more success selling on Mercari..Version: 22.12.1

Glitchy app, vinted will make more than you doBy the time you factor in fees and postage, it is hard to make any money from Vinted. Items sell for £1, yet the buyer will pay approximately £4. So they aren't particularly getting a bargain and you aren't making much at all! Worst though in the actual app. Notifications/messages for everything. Why should I have to click into a message to 'read' it when I'm the one that did the activity??? I.e. you send a message to a buyer through a notification, you then have to go to the inbox and open that message to clear the notification from your phone. Ridiculous. Also, sometimes will repeatedly open a notification/message yet the notification on my Home Screen on the app doesn't clear. So so frustrating. It is also hard to keep track when you are selling multiple items at the same time as there is only the inbox, no separate orders area. So shipping labels etc you have to click into each individual message when the buyer, but then you can have other things in your inbox not related to actual sold items..Version: 23.17.1

Asks for social security number!First, I have sold with Vinted for over a year. Initially loved the app as there are no selling fees and transactions are completed quickly. However, they randomly decided to move to a new app. Now all my old sales and messages are gone. A few days ago, I made my first sale on the new app and it will not let me print out my shipping label unless I provide my social security number. I am not giving out my ss for $7 sale. I have sold on Mercari, poshmark, depop, and eBay for years now and have never once been asked for my social security. I do not trust Vinted security and I am certain in no time they will have a data breach where people’s social security number will be hacked and sold on the dark web. I attempted to reach out to Vinted customer service but the help form will not submit and keeps saying “denied access” each time I attempt to send a message. Deleting this app and my account. I know they have been ramping up their advertising efforts but they don’t even treat their existing sellers well, have no customer service available or accessible, and are asking for precious data. Delete Listings With False Claims Of WhyI have recently been having all of my medical scrub tops removed because (and here is the funny part) one day it was because of “ Unsafe Items: Items that do not comply with hygiene standards, or may pose health or safety risks” and today was “ Armed Forces, police or other emergency services official uniforms, badges, accessories or other objects.” Vinted will grasp at anything they can to delete posts. Mind you in just one week over 100 different listings were posted of medical scrubs. I went back even further and one from 5 months ago is still posted. Let’s not get started on their shipping fees which are ridiculous. Even with items priced at a dollar they don’t sell because who wants to pay $1 plus fees plus shipping. I have done much much better selling on Mercari and Poshmark with having sellers fees. Don’t try and communicate with the company either because there isn’t an option..Version: 23.4.1

Discriminatory practices?EDIT: I now have learned that this wasn’t a bug. They are being discriminatory and giving random people higher or lower rates. So many people are deleting their accounts, and that’s just the people who post about it in the forum. Then another response from someone else is that all the prices will change to be the most expensive. I understand about fluctuating USPS prices, but this is ridiculous. I ship through USPS often because of my small business. Up to 1 pound, first class, should never be over $6. There are no seller fees, but it’s being made up in overpriced shipping. No one is going to buy a used item for $1-$5 if they have to pay $6 for shipping. Which means items over one pound, like a bundle, will be $9 and a large bundle would be $11. I’d rather have the seller fee and lower shipping rates. Original post: Some people see shipping rates as .99 and some people see 2.49, 3.99, and even over $6 for the same item. It’s not consistent, and they don’t even know about this glitch even when people tried to reach out via feedback. The app has other bugs too and it’s almost not worth selling for a couple dollars and deal with this app. It was much better in 2013, when there was a 10% fee. Less bugs. I have never wrote a review before but this app has made meVinted seems good on the surface but the second you decide to start selling is where you should watch out. Apparently they have a policy of authentic items and if they determine something you are selling isn’t legit which btw just from images is incredibly hard, They just ban you. What tops this off is the fact the item my account was banned for was something I bought from Vinted. The support team are completely incompetent and offered zero help giving robot like responses with spelling errors and just saying we can’t help because you broke are rules. This is quite possibly the worst support team ever and sell with extreme caution because they can just decide to ban you and ruin your income. I am also not the only one this has happened to after checking the Vinted subreddit but they couldn’t care less about you. It’s also quite funny how many bots post listings of quite obvious scams which never seem to be taken down and I wouldn’t be surprised if this company is run by money driven corrupt scammers. There are also so many other issues not worth mentioning. Probably the hands down worst run company ever which will never offer any help and run away with your money and just to top it off their email listed doesn’t exist. Recommend as a buyer but not a sellerVinted is pretty good as a buyer, their buyer protections mean your item comes within a week and any cashbacks go in the buyers favour. Which is why i dont recommend it as a seller. Sold a pricy item to a buyer, messaged them to let them know i was on holiday and wouldnt be able to ship till 5 days later, and because of vinted not letting sellers chose custom packaging sizes, it would be shipped 2nd class (also vinted holds the money so you dont even get the money meant for shipping till after the buyer confirms they've got it). just over a week later after i shipped, and sent it. vinted automatically cancelled the order. i tried to stop that but their response was to have the buyer re-purchase my item, which because they had not obligation to do, they never did. So i lost money on the shipping and the item that was worth alot. App not refined - yetI never write reviews but have come out of my way to write this. As there was a poll on the app if you would recommend the app - but it wouldn’t actually allow me to share feedback. I was a fan if you want to grab yourself a bargain I’m your in the right place. If you want to sell things you can and will easily but don’t think your going to make lots of money for anything this app has created a bunch of people who don’t want to pay for things. By the time you have bought the product, postage and the buyer protection fee people arnt willing to spend much for anything. the app itself is ‘clunky’ to use almost like so so w had a great idea but rushed it prior to bring it out. Searching for something your after isn’t easy. when selling an item if you type a description the curser jumps mid sentence, you cannot edit photos for a selling site this is crazy. rules on what you can and cannot sell are non consistent. I was somehow able to sell something that your not supposed to sell on Vinted snd it wasn’t picked up prior to the sale. what kind of processes are in place for this to happen?. the rules are not specific enough. when items are deleted you are not given a reason why therefore you may make the same mistake again. getting in contact with someone to try and get an answer is difficult..Version: 22.35.2

Huge shipping price increaseI’ve been using Vinted for a few years now. It was my favorite thrifting app at first! They used to have $1 shipping on nearly everything, and $3 for heavier items. They raised shipping prices early this year, but it was still reasonable, like $3-$6 for any given item. But randomly a couple months ago, and without any notice, they’ve doubled all the shipping prices! Even if someone is listing something for $1 you’ll end up paying $20 because of their ridiculous snipping costs and fees. It was NOT like this when I first started using this app. I was buying things quite frequently, but now I rarely buy at all because it’s so expensive. I would switch to Depop or some other app instead, where at least the user can decide the pricing for shipping and it’s typically much cheaper. It’s a shame because I love everything about Vinted other than this. I hope they change their model in the future..Version: 23.33.1

Terribly coded and frustrating appI’ve had more problems with this app than any app I’ve ever used. More so than any clothing app for sure. The app is terribly coded, the keyboard cursor randomly jumps to different lines when trying to type listings, notifications remain for hours when you’ve already clicked on them, automated support issues are frequent and incredibly hard to work with, contacting support is near impossible and always unhelpful. They withhold money from the seller inconsistently and withhold shipping labels making it extremely hard to comply with their shipping policy. Their automated “authenticity checks” take hours instead of minutes like the app claims. Their copyright policies are the worst. I can’t upload pictures with backgrounds removed or they get taken down DESPITE ALL THE PHOTOS BEING ORIGINAL PICTURES TAKEN BY MYSELF!! I’ve tried to explain to support I do this for my own comfort and safety and they gleefully told me it didn’t matter, they would to continue to take down my listings, and tell me I would be banned. You will frequently be cited for copyrighting yourself and threatened with being banned on the regular. Support is determined to make the seller’s job as difficult as possible. Can’t change my countryFor some reason they’ve changed my country to England and my currency to the pound. I’ve tried all their recommendations to rectify this to no avail. Does not support sellersWhen I first downloaded vinted, it was with the intention of selling. Selling on vinted has been all good up until now, and I am currently very unhappy with the customer service and it’s support for the sellers on the app. I recently sold a pair of leggings, described to have a small hole in the back that could be easily stitched and a photo of the back of the leggings. I am a very polite and considerate seller, however when I sent the item off and the buyer received the item, they suspended the payment as they ‘understood’ it was written in the description but the hole was ‘bigger then anticipated’ and looked bigger on, my guess is that the hole stretched as I know myself it was very small. I told the buyer I could not refund as she was aware of the issue because i wrote it in the description. I contacted Vinted yet they replied back saying the item is as the buyer described and therefore I need to allow them to return the item, despite me having proof in the description and photo. I feel very messed about not only by the seller as they bought it aware of the hole, but also by vinted who is failing to support sellers. The app should be efficient and easy for all that use it. Don’t waste your time it’s a scam!Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Used to love this app, it was great for sorting through the kids old clothes and making some money back. I was selling their old clothes on Vinted and then using that money to buy them more clothes on Vinted. However, one morning I woke up to an email from Vinted saying they had permanently blocked my account, claiming that I was using it for commercial sales. I clearly was not! All of the items I was trying to sell were items we had no use for any longer or were unwanted gifts. Through reading the other reviews it seems that I am not the only one that this has happened to. I have tried appealing to Vinted, but I get a different person each time, none of which have any idea what the last person was speaking to me about. After messaging several times I am now being ignored by customer service! Absolutely appalled and shocked at how awful Vinted deal with things. Upon reading their guidelines, I should have been given a warning before hand and told which items went against their policies, which I did not get. Vinted have violated their own policies in several aspects with how they have treated me! SELLERS BEWAREI’ve been selling from my personal closet for almost 10 years. I started on a different popular app that starts with a “P”. This app is the ONLY one I’ve ever had issues with as a seller. My items were constantly deleted without good reason or my consent. I got a message saying they were deleted after the fact. So I stopped using stock photos, no big deal. Today I got 15 items deleted because they accused me of “selling commercially” because some of my items have tags. uhhh yeah??? I sell things I can’t RETURN or that don’t fit me anymore. That’s literally the point of RESELL APPS. Their customer service is a joke and they have no empathy for their users. As a stay at home parent this is my only form of income and it’s not like it pays the bills. To have my hard work and time (and it takes a lot of time to list well) just erased is infuriating. Terrible customer serviceI’ve lost so much money to vinted. I had a seller suspend their order because they sent me the wrong item. We tried to resolve the issue ourselves as she was trying to get my item back from the other girl she accidentally shipped it to(which go out surprise that girl decided to not ship it back. Love that for us) and I had already shipped back the wrong item that was sent to me. It’s be approximately 20 days and nothing has been resolved and vinted immediately released those funds to the seller without the issue having been resolved. When I asked for help about my money that I just lost they told me it was basically my fault for not clicking the “everything is not okay button” within the two day period. The reason why I didn’t is because the seller had already suspended the order and there wasn’t a BUTTON TO PRESS. The seller wants to refund me the full amount but vinted refused. They’re customer service is terrible. They give attitude and on top of all this they also keep deleting my posts saying it’s not allowed and I’m using pictures from outside sources. Which I’m not at all. It’s my bedroom floor. It’s annoying how this has not happened one. Not twice. But minimum 7 times. Could be great!I have used this app for a year now. You can keep pricing cheaper but the shipping is OUTRAGEOUS. I buy a lot on these type of apps. Like 3-4 weekly. Vinted doesn’t get my business as much as I would like it to. Sellers have no window for shipping. I ordered and after 2 weeks of not being shipped and getting the run around by the help team I still didn’t get refunded. Luckily the seller shipped it eventually. Help team said after 5 BUSINESS days I would be refunded and the item canceled. Wrote back in after 10 business days with no refund to be told I had to still wait. Again this app could be great. Report Vinted to Apple!The customer service is abysmal!! So bad that I have reported Vinted to Apple. If you are experiencing this type of customer service, as many of the reviewers have stated, I implore you to report Vinted to Apple too. As a seller, I did not receive any protection from their CS team over a package not delivering to a customer. Like another reviewer stated, I can attest to the perfunctory replies and platitudes by their CS team. Vinted offered me no guidance and put the whole burden on me when I have the slightest clue on how to do it. They provide the labels and have all the records I need to file a claim with the postal service. This shipping process is a primary and CRITICAL FUNCTION of Vinted, yet I got zero support. I too have had past issues with bumps like some of the other reviewers. Once I sort out this USPS nightmare all BY MYSELF, I am deleting this app once and for all. No Direct Customer ServiceAs a seller, the worst issue is that Vinted will automatically delete my listing if someone reports it. I used a photo to help from a photoshoot i did three years ago. It was deleted for copyright even though I have current pictures of me modelling it along with an older picture where it looks nicer. I cannot appel this vinted just went ahead and deleted it. They dont give you any option to appeal any report a user makes. It will count against you and if too many you will bw kicked from the app. I think it’s terrible I now am closer to being booted when I did nothing wrong and I cannot talk to any customer support about this issue and my listing being wrongfully deleted. Best place to sell your rubbish!As a seller you can list anything you don’t want or can’t use as very good condition and you don’t have to disclose any damages or faults because when the buyer receives it and they realise it’s not what they expected the buyer has 2 choices - bin the item loose your money and leave a bad feedback for the seller otherwise return the item at your own cost so if you bought something for £6 you will have to pay £3 to return it and you only get £3 back and you also can’t leave a negative review as the order gets closed !!!! And It’s vinteds policy buyer has to pay returns even if it’s not as described. I don’t understand why they charge buyer protection because there is no protection at all just loss for a buyer! I also purchased a dress which has still not been delivered and it’s been more than a month and Vinted is still considering the case! Ridiculous !!!! Why have we paid for buyer protection if Vinted is not prepared to sort things out faster! Was once perfect2 Stars because I've made some money from but it has gone downhill since I started. It's almost as if the apps tricks you into staying because at first I was getting so many sales, now it's maybe 2 a week if that unless I'm actively PAYING to promote my profile and bumping things. The offers have gotten ridiculous and don't even get me started on shipping. The costs were somewhat reasonable at first and now they are out of control. That's how the app makes their money so it's not surprising after gaining popularity they jacked up costs. There is zero customer service, the thought of someday needing it is aggravating because it'll just be automated bots, being run around in circles and HEADACHES Pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered! ControllingOne thing I do like about this app is that it’s easy to list things, and that there’s no fees for the seller. However, being a seller, there are some really frustrating aspects of this app. My listings are constantly being flagged and taken down for no reason. One of my listings were taken down because I “copyrighted” my own image that I took? And another one of my listings was hidden because my description was “wrong”, when I wasn’t violating any of their terms at all. But if I keep violating these rules my account is going to be deleted. It’s very frustrating and controlling because although things are easy to list, I’m wondering if it’s going to be taken down every time for some little thing that I haven’t even violated. You also can’t list, for example, a two piece set and then individually list the other items. You can’t have multiple quantities of anything. Terrible customer service + platform functionalityNo existent customer service, you only get to talk to a robot that can’t answer any questions I have been using the app for more than a year and have accumulated more than 300 reviews 5 stars. A few days ago I uploaded an item and Vinted automatically decided it was counterfeit and blocked my account for a whole month and refused to give any explanations. I submitted all the pictures required by the platform to prove it was an authentic item.I contacted them several times and submitted and appeal which was rejected with no explanation. I am a good and regular customer so I am disappointed they treat me like a criminal and refuse to explain why or where the issue is as I have complied with everything they require in the first place. I understand the need for regulation but I see very obvious scam everywhere in Vinted, I am clearly not the problem here and the fact that they cannot distinguish this, is shameful. Thankfully I don’t rely on Vinted sales for my monthly income but other people do so blocking an account and refuse any explanation or dialogue is very frustrating and the wrong behaviour to have with your customers, specially if they are good and you know this by looking at how much they sell/spend or reviews they have in their profile. Please be advised this app has no customer serviceI downloaded the app and forgot about it for a while, upon opening the app to make listings after awhile, I was notified that my account was blocked, mind you I never made a purchase on the account. I attempted to contact support or open the chat and was greeted with “blocked”…so you’re telling me that I can’t even contact support once I’ve been blocked for absolutely no reason? I decide to make a new account since I could literally not access the account from before. A day passes by after I make 2 sales and a purchase, then my account is “blocked” for attempting to make more than one account! LOL! Like the sole reason of the new account was because I couldn’t access my previous account, payment states it’s pending for more than a day and again I can no longer contact support. The worst app iv ever usedI sell and buy on a lot of sites this site takes the cake in horrible customer service, uploading items, authentication, everything.. I just uploaded an item that they deleted because I uploaded the certificate of authenticity which you should do but they consider it as a “not a photo that belongs to you” umm ya it does belong to me🙄. Taking Down ListingsI like to use PhotoRoom to make sure my listings look nice and clean w a white background when I post them, as I’ve found that appeals to me and usually others when shopping. I got a pair of aerie underwear that I’m trying to sell taken down because I laid out two (separately sold pairs) of underwear on a white background and god forbid it looked too professional, now this app thinks I’m stealing images from the internet. The worst part is that the underwear isn’t sold as a pair so there is no way they even checked this, or even reverse image searched my photo. I wanna support this app because it seems very seller friendly with the whole no fee thing, but not everything can be automated. Even their first few responses to my contact about this issue has been automated. What a nightmare. DISSAPOINTEDSo, your used personal item should be simple and enjoyable. Not on Vinted, where you're treated like a criminal. I'm sure you've read it before, your post gets deleted, you get warnings that your account will get blocked for certain items you posted, and when you search you find many other sellers have similar posts, when you report this they basically tell you to do their jobs "you can report that post," withdrawing your money becomes a hassle because you have to provide your ID or else they keep it for themselves. Don't they already have your bank account? So you sell your items and they question your integrity? Vinted is pretty shady, especially when you can never get anyone on the phone or have a friendly exchange of communication. The attitude is hostile do what we say or you can leave. Disgraceful!!!I have honestly never been let down quicker by an app than I have by this one! My sister told me that this app would be a great way to make some extra cash which I was all for but when I finally able to create an account the currency and location where wrong I thought it was just some default setting I could change but nope it wouldn’t allow me the apps “support” team told me to delete my account make a new one and try again so I did and was once again face with the same problem!!!! Almost impossible to contact customer service!Several times now, a listing of mine has been removed for unapplicable reasons, and there’s almost no way to get a hold of anyone to resolve it. The first time I had two similar items posted that they said were duplicate, even though they were different sizes, and it stated so in the descriptions. This last time they removed my listing saying, I violated copyright regarding photos. I took the photos myself! I have the before pictures with background, and the ones I posted without. It is almost impossible to find how to contact them and let them know that they removed my listing in error, and that I didn’t violate catalog rules! They threaten to remove you from the platform if you continually violate the rules… But there’s no way to get them to correct that you never violated rules in the first place!.Version: 23.40.1

Scammed by Vinted itselfAbsolutely shocked when the sandals I ordered did not arrive as the seller had scammed me and sent an empty package instead. I reported this to the app immediately, and was told that the team would look into it and I was not to contact them again as they would contact me. In the meantime I noticed the seller’s profile was blocked, so I expected my money back soon as everyone gets buyer protection ( for which you have to pay with each transaction). Next day, I get a message that my buyer protection is ending soon, I receive no response to my question whether I will remain protected as I reported the scam, and a day later the team contacts me on chat saying that although they agree I’ve been scammed, they can’t give me my money back as the buyer protection had ended after 2 days and the money had already been sent to the seller. Absolutely ridiculous because: 1) I reported the scam an hour within receiving the product, it is the fraud team that took an unreasonably long time to investigate and did not extend my buyer protection, that’s their fault not mine. 2) The seller’s profile had already been blocked before my buyer protection had ended and the funds had been released to the seller! Meaning that Vinted itself has decided to keep the money and literally stole from me/ scammed me itself!!!.Version: 22.44.0

Not Good For SellersI will give the app credit for making it very quick and easy to list things and I have had success as a buyer however as a seller the app is incredibly frustrating. It’s takes far too long to be paid, do not use the app if you are needing make some money quickly. It takes too long for the money to go from pending to the balance to in your bank account, in my experience about three weeks in total. The other issue is they will simply remove items from being listed claiming they are not suitable for sale despite being clearly listed in their allowed products for sale list in their terms and conditions. I listed some textiles which is an entire category, I spent time listing, photographing and writing detailed descriptions and they were removed with no option to retrieve the original post. Lots of wasted time. The customer service is scripted and very unhelpful just simply going round in circles, it seemed even the customer service representatives don’t know their own terms and conditions. Once I’ve sold my items I won’t be selling on the app again. Buyers and sellers in my experience have been great but it the actual concept of the app that is flawed..Version: 23.11.2

Good concept but supported by bad customer processesCustomer Services are unhelpful. A seller listed a top as a Ted Baker Vest Top, in the Item Category they selected Tops & Shirts. Upon receiving the item it’s a pyjama top and not categorised as Nightwear, the brand is Baker by Ted which is their nightwear and underwear range. I sent photo evidence of ASOS selling the item to the seller who replied with ‘if I had known I would have listed as pj top, sorry’ I contacted the seller who was initially apologetic, I asked to return the item, the seller has ignored me since. I raised the issue with Vinted as ‘item not as described’, but as the item received looks like the listed picture they have refused to help even though it’s not categorised by their options, Vinted acknowledged that the seller did categorise incorrectly but are refusing to help, they suggested I relist (who wants half a set of pj’s 🙄) Their policies are floored, why are sellers asked to categorise the clothing from a list if it doesn’t support their policies. If Vinted has a Customer Journey/Experience Team they need to review their joke of a processes. Judging by other comments on Trustpilot, the Vinted App and concept has matured too quick for the company processes in place. Let’s hope another brand comes along and does it better or stick to Marketplace & eBay!.Version: 24.7.0

Removes items for “commercial use” with 0 evidenceRemoved hundreds of items from my account and threatened to ban me within 7 days for listing items for “commercial use” despite every single item in my closet being purchased by myself or given to me by close relatives (for free for me to casually resell). I have a large family that likes to shop so of course I have a large amount of listings, but not a single item in my account was purchase with the intent to resell. Their algorithm is terrible and even with the old app the algorithm would randomly pick up and hide my items incorrectly that were not breaking any rules and used my own images and would falsely accuse me of stealing them. Also this app has the lowest traffic of any I sell on so it’s not a major loss if they ban my account, but I seriously can’t believe how terrible this app is run. I would give negative 5 stars if I could, I really don’t have anything positive to say other than it’s nice the seller doesn’t pay the fee but it’s not like it’s a big difference when the buyer is required to forcing you to lower your price anyways..Version: 21.35.2

Horrible!!They’re clueless on authenticity. I’ve been selling/buying on vinted for almost 10 years. Never once posted an item that wasn’t authentic. They keep taking down my authentic items and say that I’m posting fake items. Why don’t they consider my history or make sure they’re NOT authentic before blocking my account. I made a sale that I can’t even ship out now cause they blocked my account. They need better customer support and find someone that knows the difference between real and fake items. Terrible customer service!! I’d leave a negative 10 star review if I could.My account glitched and logged me out, and I can’t get back in. The app and the website are not allowing me to verify my phone number when I try to login in with my Google account. When I try to use the email login method, it says that the info is wrong. I tried to reset my password, but the link they sent is like some sadistic joke that does literally nothing. I submitted an issue claim through their help center expressing that I couldn’t login and they responded within the platform where I couldn’t see it because I couldn’t login. I reached out to all their service emails and the one reply I got was accusing on me having two accounts and telling me to delete. I do not have two accounts, and even if I did, I can’t get into the platform to delete as they asked. There is no phone number to call either. This problem has persisted for two days now, and I have orders waiting on me that I cannot complete without getting into the app..Version: 23.3.0
