✓ Pretty good but with some issuesGreat app for getting some ideas together. Great app for practicing. The musicians are very good. However some of the loops are a bit chopped sounding, so I wouldn't necessarily use the app for "song writing/production" Might be nice to be able to select different modes, but that is outside the scope of this app. As a practice app the price is really good..Version: 1.1

✓ Amazing app for GuitaristsThis is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review of an app, but that shows how impressed I am with this one. I am trying to get to grips with learning to solo over chords and this app has helped like nothing else. To be able to compose my own jam tracks and see the chord being played has allowed me to understand more about soloing over chords than any other method I have tried. With the ipad linked into the guitar amp it sounds like I am jamming with another guitarist. I still have a way to go, but this app has breathed new life into my learning. It's amazing!.Version: 1.0

Not sure why people are saying it crashes - I've got an iPhone 4s and it works really well. In short, a simple, professional and good-looking app. I just wish I had an iPad to use it on!.Version: 1.0
✓ As close to band in a box for iPad as you’re gonna getThis app is awesome. It’s probably the closest app to Band in a box that exists on the App Store. Lots of different strumming styles and the samples sound pretty good. I just with it was easier to enter the chords like how you can in biab. It’s quite frustrating to enter and then stretch each one or shorten them and if you miss something you can’t just see it all on one screen to be able to tell what you entered. But that aside.. this apps worth a look.Version: 2.8
✓ Useful for background tracksI do a lot of nature videography and being able to create tracks with this application as opposed to using GarageBand (everything starts to sound similar using GarageBand all the time) it's nice to have some fresh sounds with this application. ✓ Brilliant but so disappointedI have all of the SessionBand apps and although I love them there are loads of ways to improve them and I'm hoping that the developers will listen up here! First of all these apps are showing that they are compatible with Garage Band but they aren't! If you integrate them into Logic they run out of sync with logic and seem to have their own time signature. No matter what I do I can't run any midi instrument to run in time with any of the songs I create in SessionBand apps.This is the worst thing and something the developers need to sort out asap! I have emailed them regarding this but still no joy. The layout could be a little better, instead of running a lengthy one liner they could fit it onto the screen that way you wouldn't have to keep scrolling forward and backwards and lose track of where you are in the song! Some of the apps integrate instruments that I would prefer to put in myself! But you have no choice in some of the apps and I can't use them. This one (acoustic guitar) is truly great because it sounds authentic but I would like to integrate a drum or a bass and I can't and there is no way of integrating the SessionBand drummer with the SessionBand acoustic guitar because these also run out of sync.....what's the point of having great drums if you can't put the guitar to them? The syncing disaster is the one they need to sort and I would like a SessionBand Bass app too please....but make sure it syncs with the rest! All in all I love the apps but please.....Get it sorted!.Version: 2.0
✓ Excellent sketch padBrilliant tool for sketching ideas for songs or creating loops for soloing over. With a bit of patience whole songs can be put together and exported into other formats.Version: 2.4
✓ Love this!I was not getting the interface initially as I'm a bit technophobic, but I emailed the developers from inside the app and the customer support is great. ✓ New Track Builder is awesomeThe new track builder is an awesome update. So you can Input sections... once for each section.... and easily create the entire song. Not as good visually as iRealPro.... but sound a lot better. I can play the song in this app to help me with timing.... while viewing the song in “fake” format in iRealPro... which doesn’t sound as good. Not sure if they got audio bus stuff fixed. BUT THS TRACK BUILDER HELPS A LOT..Version: 2.4.2

✓ Nice appVery useful songwriting tool though I can't seem to get any sharps option on either piano or acoustic. Seems to go to the flat of the next chord. For example A sharp turns to b flat. It is rather annoying and hopefully can be fixed in an update or if I'm missing something I'm happy to be corrected..Version: 1.0
✓ Brilliant sound but theres a fundamental problemThis app offers great guitar sound and a decent interface to build loops or 'progressions'. It also has audiobus which is a major plus. However, you cannot adjust the tempo! Each style has a 'default' bpm - to me, that misleadingly suggests you can change it. So far ive found nothing that says you can - even though the GUI has a prominent bpm button (that does nothing but display the default tempo. this is hugely disappointing. I seriously hope this will be put right in an early update. The chord types are also a bit limited - but theres more than enough to keep you going. Despite the criticisms, if you crave some pretty strumming in your music, this is a no brainer - and defo an app worth supporting..Version: 1.0

✓ Brilliant app! Worth every penny...I'm a professional musician, songwriter. This is an invaluable tool for keyboard players, singers, or any musicians that cant play acoustic guitar. With this app you can easily create great chord rhythm tracks in any key and most useful chords. The sounds are amazing for such a cheep app. If i could add anything, i would love them to do a pro version which allows a rough vocal track to be sung over the tracks...but regardless of that, I love this app. Highly recommended. Not five stars because the workflow isn’t massively intuitive and I’d like WAV recordings to be exportable via email...maybe I haven’t worked out how to do that yet. Very realistic sounds (unless you change the tempo, but even then it stays usable), decent uncluttered interface and an export function. Suggestions for developers: use different colours/styles for different chords and make it easier to change chords while playing. That would make it a better songwriting tool. Sampling a pattern at a few different tempos wouldn't hurt either..Version: 2.0

The various loops are also helpful to practice various strumming patterns. What would make this into an outstanding practice tool would be a short description of the strumming pattern used in the various loops. When the strumming pattern would run above the various cords as three bars displaying when the bass note is played and when up and downstrokes are happening, then it could be used for an in-depth practice session..Version: 2.5
