✓ Good game, shame about in-app purchasesAs with the first one, I really like it as a game. The problem is the culture of in-app purchases as a way of extorting more money out of people. You can play the game fine without them, but there are aspects you need them for to be able to unlock levels. ✓ In-app purchases detract from an overall great gameI have all of the other Cut the Rope games and I love them, and this one so far is not too bad. I like the new mechanics and more challenging gameplay. The core game is worth a 4/5, HOWEVER the in-app purchases really detract from an otherwise great game. It is very frustrating how I now can't get an overall 3 stars for a world just because I refuse to shell out more money to buy extras. Very disappointed!.Version: 1.0
✓ Kept CrashingWhen I first got the app I enjoyed playing it but deleted it to make room for other games. I got it back this month and I was really excited to play it again so I opened it up as soon as it finished downloading and told the game my age because it asked me to. Then I turned away and when I looked back I saw my home screen and was confused. I tried loads of times to open the app but it kept closing itself. Fix the bugs now!!! ✓ Bad, frustrating and disgustingThe original was good fun, including some of the sequels like the time travelling one. This on the other hand is all that is wrong with the casual mobile gaming industry. Levels are carefully designed to be annoying and frustrating to try to get you to buy their micro-transaction items. They will often require pixel perfect as well as microsecond perfect action, plus some luck, to meet all objectives. Some challenges and collectibles are clearly set up to be impossible to get without using one of those items. They do drip feed them as daily random bonuses, but the method remains. In short this is not fun at all. If you like being frustrated and spending money out of anger, download this, otherwise stay clear. Play the first one instead..Version: 1.6.4
✓ Great game being ruined by ads and in app purchasesYou need to get all the medals to play all the levels but you can no longer get all the medals without using little consumables like balloons. Of course you can always buy more when you run out - and I think you know where it goes from there. There are also constant ads for their other games..Version: 1.6.9
✓ Great game but...I love this game, it's equally as good as the first if not a little better due to the features in game and that om-nom is no longer fixed in one location! However, the fact that you have to make so many in-app purchases really takes the fun away. ✓ OkI like the introduction of new characters, each with their own quirk. However the nature of the game has become too complicated. They should go back to the simplicity of the earlier games. It creates less puzzle quality and more luck. I found myself getting frustrated when knowing how to do a puzzle but being unable to do it. ✓ About time the '-80 stars' was fixedIt's taken you guys at Cut the rope four weeks to release a fix for the '-80 stars' bug, where most players had 360 stars to unlock a level that only required 280 stars, giving the error and not allowing us to play. That is, of course, unless we paid the $2.99 unlock fee. You said in your update release you fixed this 'quickly', but four weeks is not quick. I wonder how many people were sucked into paying your unlock fee in that four weeks... Very poor work, guys..Version: 1.1.1

✓ No.I bought the collection of cut the rope games as I enjoyed the first on years ago when it came out. So I have pretty much all of them, yet adds still pop up advertising their other games. It's ridiculous, if I just bought the vast majority of your games, why then would their still be adds in each of them games? The game itself is very fun, but (and maybe I'm just being stupid), but there shouldn't be a precedent set that games you pay for have adds in, the industry is bad enough for things like that without you adding to it. ✓ Not as good as the first.It's good but the first game required skill to 100% complete, this one has added medals to each level which often require timing to the millisecond which is down to luck more than anything. The shamrocks are a money grabbing attempt and act as a shortcut for extra level unlocks for those who struggle to get the medals. Some good improvements, but I don't like the microtransactions they've implemented..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Good but others much betterI have 3 starred all levels in all previous om nom games and loved them - have been a fan for years - but this one is a bit disappointing. It has lost the simple charm - the levels are busier and the medals and clover leaves add unnecessary complexity without improving game play. I don't like the style of the backgrounds etc nearly as much. I am happy to pay for an ap but I don't like the business of buying your way through the game with in ap purchases which are constantly popping up. ✓ Level 1-8.Level 1-8. As game design goes, not a bad idea. It teaches new players how to use the balloon power up. But it gives you one for free, so you don't have to pay for it. At least, that's the idea. I tend to replay levels randomly after I have finished the game. So when I came back, I expected it to work fine. It did. Except for the fact that I have -1 balloon power ups. Which makes me unable to do the level. I don't know how I managed to get -1 power ups, but it's frankly game breaking. ✓ Such a shameI loved the other cut the rope games which made this an instant but for me. This game doesn't differ in terms of gameplay (great), but I was very disappointed to find that you're not going to be able to complete the game properly without buying a range of in game items. What's even worse is that once you use these items and fail a level, you have to use them again meaning a few fails of a level can end up costing you £2.50! I guess it's the way all games are going now, but it's a huge shame to see it, especially seeing as you have you buy the game in the first place! Not really substantial enough on its own, it seems Zeptolab can't quite outdo their original success. CTR was a surprise hit, but now so many spin-offs... ✓ Ad-riddled messI love the original Cut the Rope and this seems to have much of the same gameplay however it is filled with advertisements for other ZeptoLab games which are put as a priority before actual gameplay. I completed a level, thought there was a second part to it...no it was an interactive advert that appeared before I could finish the level. I struggled to find the level select screen at first because clicking the 'play' icon sends you to an advert screen you have to click 'more games' on to actually get to the level select. ✓ Always be selling . . .The game costs $3, which might be what I would think a simple, low effort puzzle game like this would be worth . . . but they also hard-sell a buch of other crap. If you cut the ropes and pop the balloons in the wrong order the screen will go to a translucent dark grey and a pointing finger will gesture at the "buy more balloons" button. ✓ All they want is your money..The original Cut the rope was literaly the best game going, however this second version is nothing but a money begger, everything (such as the look/skin of the candy) costs money, and dont get me wrong these people need to make money, i get that, however, the app already costs 69p, there is no way on earth you can charge for a game and make buyers pay for more pointless in game stuff.. And aswell they add annoying powerups to use, which is really cool:D.. But you have to pay for them. Not cool. ✓ Pay to winThis business model is sneaking It's way into all good games, ruining the gameplay by forcing players to buy extra tools to be able to fully complete each level, and subsequently miss out on lots of levels throughout the game. I love all of these games, I love completing them with every star and achievement, but this has been made impossible unless I spend almost twice as much as the previous games (including the initial purchase + buying just one set of balloons that will inevitably run out works out to be £2.10) and this doesn't even guarantee you access to the extra levels, a few mistakes and you'll be spending another £1.50 (price of 20 balloons). Of course this only annoys me so much because of how (otherwise) brilliant these games are, how beautifully they are designed and, to complete fully, how thought provoking and intelligent the puzzles are. I rated 3/5 because I feel this system is an extremely sneaky way to get customers to pay extra for the same product and it stifles gameplay..Version: 1.0

✓ Typical iOS SequelTake a great game and ruin it with in app purchases. On the first level where I take more than a few attempts to get 3 they force me to get hints. After a few levels I am forced to get balloons from the shop to get 3 stars. It's ridiculous, just give me a game like part one that doesn't rely on money making gimmicks like buying balloons to get 3. ✓ I used to love this sequel....but now it won't even OPEN!!!Ok first things first: I loved playing this sequel to the original Om Nom for a while (minis the in-app purchases but, I'll get to that later) but then, when one of the new updates came I was disappointed When I taped the game to open it, after I installed the update, it started to load but then it just went blank...a black screen, how fun is that? But anyway I have read a lot of other reviews and, I agree: there is no need to have so many in-app purchases! Before the game stopped working for me, I got so frustrated from all of them popping up. I understand you have to have some in-app purchases for marketing purposes but do you really need that many?? The real aim of the game, for me, is to be able to figure out the puzzles with your own mind, not buy your way through all the levels,. After all, what does that teach children? They need to learn that to accomplish something in life you have to work hard and, that sometimes you might not even get there. To me, letting them buy there way through the levels is not setting a very good example. It also ruins the fun and purpose of the game.
