Todo - Task List Organizer for Negative User Reviews

Used to be the best but no longerI am so disappointed. I have been using this app for years. I use it for shopping lists, birthday reminders, appointments, in fact everything. I now find that I have to pay a subscription for things I have always used in the past, in particular, repeat events. It appears that loyalty to this product is worth nothing, all that matters is money. Well, I for one am not paying. Major changes like this, warrant a different new app, instead of penalising existing users. Shame on you..Version: 10.0.12

Just been stitched up to sign up for subscriptionNo way out of this as can’t look at you tasks etc. Until after you’ve gone through it. Not a good experience and disappointing way to keep customers..Version: 10.1.2

Used to love this app…I’ve migrated to this app due to years of electronic scheduling from the remote era of the “palm pilot!!” (Yes,I’m old!) I loved this app initially, however it has lost its appeal & much of the functionality. One of the things I loved, was the ability to create a “checklist.” I used it for shopping, packing & other things. It doesn’t work easily any more. I now have to reopen an old one & change it to meet my current needs. Really? Do I need to switch apps?? Is there anything I can migrate to that will carry over my existing tasks AND offer the features I need??? Please help 🙏.Version: 10.1.2

Great app poor customer relationsI really like the app and have been using it for years. The fact that the company has made me buy a new version of the app to use the features of OS7 is pretty poor really. Apple didn't even charge me to upgrade..Version: 7.0.1

A once great app is now crippledI've used Appigo Todo for many years because it was far and away the best tasks/reminder app I had tried. It was clean, simple and effective. However I'm now choosing to go elsewhere. I've purchased another app and will no longer use Appigo Todo because the latest update of the app to version 10 has now effectively crippled it. Unless I now pay a subscription, I'm unable to use all the features of the app that made it such a good app like repeating tasks and multiple reminder alarms. The app that I used for more than five years is now crippled and no longer useful to me. The alleged Appiho backup of my data could not be read by Excel nor any other app for importing so I've had to spend a huge amount of time re-entering my data into a new app. I feel Appigo have demonstrated an incredible lack of integrity in the way they've handled the move to version 10. It was done surreptitiously without customers being explicitly told what would happen to their functionality if they updated. You've simply done what many other app developers have done which is try to eek out as much income out of your longstanding loyal customers as you can by going unnecessarily to a subscription based app without offering customers a legitimate alternative. Just because lots of others have subscription based apps, doesn't mean it's right, nor does it mean you have to follow them. It wasn't broken and didn't need to be fixed. You had a good app and you ruined it because you got greedy..Version: 10.0.9

No direct upgrade path from v6Bought this as I thought there would be a direct upgrade path and able to at least directly import. I have to sync instead which causes me to lose completed items over a year old.. Lodged a support ticket to no avail.. Also not impressed with double dipping either - upgrades should be free and if they are not should do the above - use GoodReader as an example of how to do this...Version: 8.0.1

DisappointingI have been an avid user for years. This new version is an ugly disappointment- they need to offer an option to allow appearance and usability of prior versions. Sorry, I'm looking elsewhere now..Version: 8.2.8

Cannot edit / cannot syncI love this app and still have the following problems I have it on mac book pro, ipad and now iphone6 1 - even after yosemite - cannot sync the todo on my computer with iphone or ipad - it keeps saying I need to upgrade my software - but I already have and it's not working 2 - i can't edit the tasks on iphone - the screen freezes over - i can't change the due dates etc - it freezes and then if I restart it it blacks out I am hoping these bugs can be fixed please!!!!!! And soon Just dont want to change to another app.Version: 8.0.1

Poor show AppigoIf you’re going to completely change the business model for the app, make it a different app. Don’t foist it upon users who are perfectly happy with the way the existing app works. I for one will not be upgrading to v10 as I have no need to sync across devices. I also do not wish to store my data in the cloud or pay a subscription fee to continue using the software (which I have already paid for). This has been a great app up to now (and possibly the new version is even better) but the sneaky way this new business model is being forced on users is underhand. Poor show Appigo. Update: as other reviewers have noted, the release of iOS 13 brings a much improved Reminders app and I have now switched over to that. In the main, it does everything ToDo 8 does, without me having to put my data in the cloud or have a subscription..Version: 10.0.9

Fantastic app.. ButTodo is still my goto app for my task list, and works perfectly with the Mac app but appigo have completely stopped development on this stream, instead only focusing on the subscription based todo cloud stream. Disappointing to see no further support for non-todo cloud users of their platform!.Version: 8.2.8

Frustratingly close to greatToDo has better editing features than most task apps. It also has the cleanest design for viewing tasks, although I don't like the gray background. Finally, it has the best Apple Watch features I've seen in a task app. If only ToDo would do a few things better, this would be a five star app. Here's where it falls short. * You can only sort by priority and due date. For those of us who would like to take into consideration the duration of the task when sorting, it won't do it. This limitation seems unnecessary and keeps me searching for another app. * ToDo will sync with third-party apps like ToodleDo (my preference), but they withhold some app features if you don't purchase their Pro service. I would gladly pay their pro fee to get additional features if they would just offer them without forcing me to sync with their service. * The way they integrate Reminders isn't optimal. The app that does that best by far is Pocket Informant which provides an integrated view of both its task list and Reminders, but it doesn't force the user to merge the lists to get that view. Users can convert Reminders tasks to PI. On my wish list is that ToDo work the same way. Part of why I don't want ToDo to automatically move Reminders is that I often want alarms just for the items in reminders, but it's difficult to ensure that they're preserved when converted..Version: 8.2.3

Forced to Upgrade to Todo 10 and Data GoneWhen I opened the app today after upgrading my iOS version last night, I was told I had to upgrade from Todo 8 to Todo 10. I clicked yes, and it said it was preparing all my data and lists, but that was utter lies, since now when I open the app, it is all gone. Been using this app for years, but I’m deleting it now. Since I have to recreate all of my lists anyway, I’ll do it elsewhere. Such a disappointment..Version: 10.1.2

Not for meI too am walking away, losing my past investment in setting up projects and tasks.Version: 10.0.9

Dropbox Sync Stopped WorkingDropbox sync is not working anymore! On their blog, Appigo came with the excuse that it is very hard to support other sync methods than their own sync service! They didn’t notify the current users in any reasonable way - there should have been at least a note in the description in the App Store. What is worse is that they still advertise the sync capabilities of version 7 in the App Store! I’m looking for other options now..Version: 8.2.8

Was greatI've had the original app for years. Upgraded to the new app which constantly crashes... No use if you can't access your data and tasks.Version: 8.2.5

Hmmm... More money but less functionality! Thanks AppigoI have been an avid user of todo 6 (paid version) for quite some time - 5 years actually. Latest update of todo 6 provides new clever advertisement for todo 8 every time it's opened. After two weeks I give in and purchase this new shiny app (part of me is curious, the other partis wondering - what am I missing? Could this be the one?). Well the good things is... it's the same old todo 6 app with a face lift. The bad news - it is todo 6! There is absolutely no new functionality here. If you have todo 6 save yourself some money until there is something new added by the developers. Who knows... Maybe in the next 5 year the developers can provide a way to switch off the highlighted lists that look awful. Thanks Appigo!!!.Version: 8.2.4

What happened to the UX?!?!Guys, you’ve really messed up the UX with setting dates and times in this latest version. Please please please revisit!!.Version: 10.1.1

I’m not sure how long the server has been down…But my app no longer sinks and I haven’t been able to find anyone give me tech-support. My device used to sync perfectly well over iCloud. Pushing us to use Appigo’s proprietary network did not improve the service however I’m sure it helped to improve their profit margin (but at the expense of the apps performance.) I’m very disappointed..Version: 10.1.7

Updates are not always a good thingI have been a heavy user of the previous version To-Do Exchange for years. It was by far the best to-do app I found since most of my sync requirements were with Outlook. I had to purchase the new version since the old Exchange one is no longer working with the last IOS version... From a very user friendly app, I am now facing an app that require a software install for windows to sync... that software download link is nowhere to be seen on Appigo website... I then have purchase a non-working app to replace a working one that is no longer supported... I am very disappointed..Version: 8.2.8

Unhappy upgradeVery unhappy that I lost all of my lists with the upgrade. And I didn’t find that out until I created a user account. I doubt I will use ToDo any more..Version: 10.0.9

Rip OffAfter having this app for many years to organise my life and recommending it to others I find it very disappointing that I now have to pay a subscription even if I want to put in a second reminder for a task. As I only use this app at what must be it’s basic functions I think it’s time for me to look for a basic planner which I will get for free rather than paying for it in the first place and then having to pay a prescription and I urge others to do the same..Version: 10.1.0

TodoWhere is the quick action button gone in todo 8?.Version: 8.2.4

Sadly no longer supportedOnce a great task app with equally great support. Now no longer supported with bugs dating back over a year. Support requests are closed without being resolved. Requests for help on the Appigo forum are deleted..Version: 8.2.5

All my data goneAbout 6 months ago I found that all my data on Todo had vanished. Then it reappeared recently, and I was lured into using the app again, but yesterday the data all vanished again. I found through web searching that this is a known problem. Do NOT buy this app if staying organized is important to you..Version: 8.2.8

I can’t use it anymoreAppigo ToDo was by far the best productivity app out there and I was a loyal user for a decade. I could open it on any device because I synced it to Toodledo which used to be a great web app. A year or so ago Appigo decided to stop syncing with ToDo and tried forcing us into some crazy cloud model so I had to choose. I chose Tooledo because I already had a subscription and the sync was flawless to their new iPhone app. The Toodledo app is pretty bad and I find it hard to manage tasks there so I spend most of time on web app - not very efficient. I tried to move to ToDo but there is no import from the app they used to sync to (how crazy is that from a business viewpoint) so I’m stuck with my almost 400 tasks. They said I could email them over - another crazy thought. So I and likely many others are unable to switch..Version: 10.1.0

Average-Slow updates and has a few bugs, e.g. it can get stuck on updating icons list then needs restart (iPhone 5s). -Ordering tasks can be complex. For example you cannot drag and drop tasks within a list. The whole app sometimes overly complex. But it's certainly better than the overly simplistic ones which are pretty but useless. -No integration with Apple Reminders. No information at all is synced - even though the app can use iCloud for back up purposes. It's easily possible to sync with iOS Reminders as other task managers do so. All in all an average app, it could do with improving and updating but for now I wouldn't pay for it..Version: 7.0.3

Been using for yearsBasically happy with the app. Does what’s it’s supposed to. UI updates can be annoying. One major glitch that messed me up this year is repeat yearly events after a leap year being off a day..Version: 10.1.2

Used to be a great appI've been using Todo for a few years now and it worked great. Lately the app has been performing so poorly that I am looking for another option. Todo used to sync to the iCloud with no issues so I have my tasks on both my iPhone and iPad. The last 4 months neither one will pick up the changes made on the other device. I have also had issues creating tasks for the last several months. I will create a task and it won't show up in the list. I'll create it again and it still won't show up. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 tries to get the task to show up in my list. Then when I try to complete a task it will take me 2 or 3 tries to get the task completed. I'm not sure what changed in the app but I'm no longer a fan..Version: 8.2.1

Used to be Good, but they've dropped itEDIT to previous review: This was a great app but the developers no longer support it. This app synced with OUTLOOK on a desktop, their 'cloud' does NOT. Newer versions of Outlook are NO LONGER SUPPORTED. Will use this app until I upgrade my Outlook then I will look for another app that will sync with Outlook on a desktop. As a matter of fact, their customer support told me that they will be dropping this app. Too bad, there are still folks who use Outlook on a desktop and like that their Outlook Tasks synced with their device. Appigo's loss. This was my previous review: Had Todo for years now. Love that it syncs seamlessly with my Desktop Outlook Tasks. Had a problem getting the two to sync with the last iOS update, but Support responded to me promptly. Can't ask for more than that when you have a problem. Does what I need it to do and that's what counts..Version: 8.2.8

Task Manager - Works well..Extremely effective as a task list manager. The notebook style interface makes organiing my tasks intuitive. I'm not a big bells and whistles user but the color scheme is an improvement over TODO version 6. It falls a bit short though as an iPad app. The leveraging of features within the iPad are still missing which is why I moved away from TODO 6. For those who are looking at this app these are the areas where I think a bit of improvement are needed.. Calendar Integration, I use my calendar to figure out how much time I have available before I setup my tasks due dates and projects. The lack of integration means I have to exit the app to see my time availability before planning or commiting to a due date. Map Integration - I like the integration with maps but to set locations independent of contacts a a bit cumbersome. I schedule a task with User or restaurant YI shoud be able to select from addresses set in my contacts. Not require me to re-enter the address to be alerted. Notifications - iOS does a good job showing my notifications but I need to enter the app to see my top priority items. If this was a cross platform app I would score higher but since this is an app designed for IOS I left my rating a 3 stars..Version: 7.0.2

Pas de synchronisation active syncPas pour professionnels sous Windows et non remboursable. Attention.Version: 8.2.8

UnreliableTerribly unreliable and frustrating. Been loyally using this app for a long long time but have almost had enough of it. Ever since new version released many scheduled alerts, randomly, don't happen at AT ALL; whilst in other cases they pop up at a time different to when they're scheduled to - out by days, weeks and often even months. I keep persevering hoping the bugs will get fixed, but it's not happening..Version: 8.2.8

Bye!A good app that I've been using on iPad, iPhone, iMac and MBP for several years. Occasional glitches with updates but usually solid. However, dropping support for Dropbox means paying for the sync service. There is an unpaid option but you have to use the newer ToDo Cloud app and you lose use of the Focus list (as that is a smart list and a paid-only facility). I've reviewed my usage and, without the Focus list, it offers little over the what I can do in the Calendar app. I don't need to share lists with others, use Siri to manage it, nor do I need email reminders. Trying to make the app do more means losing out for the simpler uses (and paying around £20 a year for the Focus list isn't worth it). Was four stars (lost one for the occasional glitches on updates) but no longer that for me..Version: 8.2.8

8.0.4 Crashes 1 Jan 15On iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8.x, app locks up if while entering details of a task due date, it should bring up date setter but does NOT, as a result app basically freezes. Only resort - force quit. Relaunch shows the task that was in process of being created but w/o date set and if at this point, one attempts to set due date, it still locks up. Found temporary fix; backed up todos, deleted app, reinstalled, restored todos from backup, working again.Version: 8.0.4

HorribleIt was used to be simple but now they made it much more complicated and you must have an account, passwords to just get in. Even using the previous version which is no longer supported and was perfect keep asking to move to this horrible version. I moved everything to google and it’s not complicated any more. Unfortunately going with small companies have the trade off of being unprofessional and unorganized managements/ owners..Version: 10.0.9

To DoVery confusing, won’t let me delete past due tasks. To Do 8 was far better & easier to move around in. Do not like it..Version: 10.0.8

DON'T BUY THIS APPThe developer shouldn't be selling this app. They no longer support it, and it doesn't do what they claim, ie it doesn't sync with Outlook..Version: 8.2.8

Being forced to move to subscription serviceWait, what?! “This upgrade replaces Todo 8 with our all-new Todo 10 and includes many new features. We’re giving existing users 1 year for free. Your data will be migrated to our sync server and you will need to create a free account to login.” No no no. This is heavy-handed and unacceptable. I like the original Todo, for which I paid a one-time fee, just fine. The feature to sync via iCloud has almost always worked well. I don’t want to use Appigo’s cloud service nor pay a $20 annual fee for the privilege. (Actually, $60 per year, because three of us in the house were using it. That’s outrageous for a task app!) I understand if you don’t want to keep providing app updates in perpetuity for people who paid a one-time fee years ago.* I had already made my peace with that, since you haven’t updated the non-cloud version of the app in years. But it was still working fine. Now you’re basically making people (anyone who doesn’t read release notes or has automatic app updates turned on) upgrade to a new service they didn’t want. (*Actually, my preference would be for you to be honest about that and provide an updated version for a new one-time price, without making me enroll in your sync service. The iCloud sync service still works fine.) I’m going to stay on version 8 for a while and consider my options..Version: 10.0.8

Missing componentsMaybe this is easy for others but giving a task a completion time I can’t find. Also how do you delete a task in this new version?.Version: 10.0.8

Not cool at all!!The latest updates effectively forces all users to a storage subscription service whether they want to or not. This is not cool and disrespectful of those loyal ToDo users who prefer to stay with device based storage. I don’t see why after all these years you do not allow users the choice to stay with device based storage. You’ve just lost another loyal user!!!.Version: 10.0.9

Useful but Kind of SlowThis app is great for helping to organise my life. I have tried many apps before but none can match the class of this app. It is without doubt one of the best productivity management apps out at the moment. My one criticism is that on my iPhone 4S it has performance issues. The main problem is that upon entering the app you must wait approximately 5 seconds while the screen is completely frozen. 5 whole seconds, every time, not even joking, it may not seem like much but 5 seconds is a long time in this context. Apart from that it has only minor slow down occassionally which isn't too bad. There is also this odd bug also where you exit one of your lists, but it just reloads the list you were in, it may take 2 or 3 exits to get to where you want to go. This app would have been 5/5 if the performance issues were fixed. Get on top of this Appigo.Version: 8.0.4

Waste moneyConstantly frozen! And there is no sound for reminder!.Version: 7.0.3

Mistreats loyal usersI agree with other recent reviews - Appigo are underhanded yet again with this move. No communication, no warning - way to go guys. Thankfully I saw the writing on the wall awhile ago and have been progressively moving to MS Todo. It’s not perfect, not as good as Appigo in places, but ironically I trust MS more than these guys. This upgrade proved my point. Goodbye Appigo. I won’t go near your cloud service, no matter how good it is..Version: 10.0.8

To do 8I am a constant user of To do 6. Tried version 8 and it is totally focused on forcing you to sign up to ToDo Cloud. Hate it.Version: 8.2.3

It's not a bad task managerIt works pretty well, despite a few bugs that crash the app (when you fill in the email details section for example). I'm sure these will get ironed out in the next release. I also can't seem to be able to assign a wallpaper - the background shade changes a little, but that's it. I'm never sure of the distinction between 'contexts' and 'lists'. Contexts are basically taken care of with the specific list you assign a task to. I've been using iCloud to sync, and this works pretty seamlessly. It's a shame there isn't some link to Reminders, but I guess the Reminder app settings are just too simple, when compared to this relatively fully featured app..Version: 7.0

App forced me to upgrade, lost everythingI was a happy user of this app for 8+ years. Then it suddenly forced me to upgrade and I’ve just lost my entire list. I had downloaded my life onto that list and now i am completely screwed..Version: 10.1.2

Was improving, but stagnant. The first time I reviewed this app, I gave it 1 star. They did some work on it, made it better, worked on it some more & in the last major upgrade managed to reduce the quality of the product. Based on the version history, I've given this product 1, then 4 stars, but now would only give it 2 stars. Negatives I have several re-occurring tasks with 15-20 sub-tasks. Most weeks it works fine, but occasionally one of the subtasks (tasks within the project) disappears from the main task (project). This appears to be reoccurring more frequently. When checking off tasks, only one task (or sub-task) can be checked off. If multiple tasks are checked off at the same time, often the second or third task are missed and have to be checked off again which makes this app slow as only one task can be checked off, then you have to pause while it updates, then check off a second task. No synchronisation with Windows, which makes thus a single platform app. Positives Price is brilliant. It does handle re-occurring tasks such as daily reading tasks for study. I believe I am a heavy user with 5 repeating projects with 15-20 subtasks, as well as another 20-30 single repeating tasks, for example a monthly meeting where I have to attend & take the minutes..Version: 8.2.8

UPDATED REVIEWI have ToDo 6 by Appigo on my 1st Generation iPad still stuck on iOS 5. But I love it so much, and have managed to download and install the last updated version 6 on my 6th Generation iPad. I would have given it 5 stars for the ToDo 6 app. But this review is about ToDo - To Do & Task List (version 8). I now have an iPod and then later got myself an iPhone. I installed their version 8 ToDo on both of the devices. It now looks bland compared to the cool looking ToDo 6. Thus I would have given it like THREE stars. But the reason for ONE star is for two problems. The order of the tasks is somewhat limited to software rules, does not allow you, the customers some means of rights to decide how to carry out your tasks. The second reason is because I have updated ToDo on both the iPod and iPhone, I figure to register for their syncing system, so I can set up a task in one device and it automationally sets up in the other, but I ended up with struggles to register. First it won't let me register, then it gives some kind of a "Come back later" message, silmliar problem when trying to register online! So I ended up manually copy the details by looking up in iPod, and set up in iPhone, and match them to the iPod by myself! I don't know what is wrong with the app developer, Appigo, maybe they've got bored with app making, and are letting things slide downhill?.Version: 8.2.8

Once Upon A Time…Once Upon A Time this was my go-to task manager. It had everything. But it seems like the company has not kept things up-to-date. The most glaring omission in their product range is an Apple Watch app. Why haven’t they developed an Apple Watch app like every other task manager app worth its salt?.Version: 10.1.4

Money for old rope - but you do get some new bugs!Mmmm - upgraded and it is just a new interface - which looks terrible! But you do get a few bugs for the extra money - First I had 100+ tasks and 3 due on the badge count - come out of the app 2nd time and the badge has gone - back into the app and all the tasks have gone! Eventually the tasks reappear but they soon go again! The whole think is clunky and so ugly! There is no new functionality what so ever which to be fair it did imply in the description but a six year old could have come up with a nicer look and wouldn't have charged! ! - I will delete it and go back to v6. Any chance of a refund?.Version: 7.0

Mandated sign-up to use. No thank you!Forcing users to set up an account and sign in is bad form. Synching our todos to your servers is privacy invading. Requiring a subscription to use basic features is an anathema. This app was once the best ToDo app out there. Brilliant design, convenient, easy to use, powerful. But after years of glitches; upgrades that deleted all our todos; the dropping of the marvelous companion app Notebook (sold off to another company that abandoned it); and the failure to provide for *local* synching to our Macs, we had to abandon it and stop recommending it to others. We would gladly have paid for new versions or pro versions with real improvements. Instead, upgrades were often retreats, steps backwards, with pay walls and hefty subscriptions. Sad, very sad..Version: 10.1.12

I just deleted Todo app. Here’s why.I used todo for years. It synced between my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Now they seem to be pushing you to by their cloud service which is overpriced at $20 a year. I do not see you can even download the MacBook app anymore and can only sync on your MacBook if you pay for their personal cloud service which is overpriced. I usually just use iCloud for free I was okay with paying for this app a few bucks. It’s useful only if you use iPhone and iPad but not home computer/MacBook. By being too greedy they have made this app has completely useless to me and I just deleted it tonight and just use the native app in iOS which is just as easy to use, is free, and syncs just fine with iCloud. They are really crazy to think anyone would pay $20 a year to be able to sync it with all their devices using their cloud storage when I pay $36 for 200GB cloud storage from Apple. How much data can a todo list Actually use a year? Their price is way out of proportion to the service you get. It was a very dumb business decision on their part. One which has customers leaving them permanently since we can’t trust them to hijack our lists and data..Version: 8.2.8

I’ve been Totally Ripped-Off!I have been delighted with Todo v8 for so many years. And what do you know, the app has automatically updated, removed my old Todo 8 (which worked perfectly well) completely and seemingly irrevocably, and replaced it with Todo 10, which I have to pay to use. What’s made the Appigo team turn into a load of underhand rip-off xxxx’s? What’s more when opening the new version, one is offered two options - either to save one’s data or to update to the new version - with no explanation that updating to the new version doesn’t automatically include all one’s data (how come!!!)! I chose the latter and lost my data. And what’s more in the App Store it says that old users updating to the new version will get the first year free - but the app itself says my new free version will expire in a few days time. The app offers a way of resolving an apparent mismatch in the expiry date - but it doesn’t work! As you can see I am one very unhappy customer!.Version: 10.0.9

Moving onFinally forced to upgrade from V8 to Todo Cloud. Got the warning the app (V8) no longer worked with the current iOS version and that I had to upgrade. Went ahead and upgraded only to lose all my data. Went ahead and paid for a month thinking the old items I had would show up. No dice. Lots of lists that I used are gone. Canceling the subscription and deleting the app. Been using this app for a very long time. I am pretty sure they had a lifetime option back in the day that I opted for, but so many of those lifetime deals were too good to be true. Bait and switch. Oh, that no longer applies as we have rewritten the app so it is a “new” version. Might have to go back to the trusty pen and paper lists..Version: 10.1.2

Basic, lacks powerTodo hasn't changed much in years and hasn't kept up with other task manager apps It simply doesn't have the functionality for GTD..Version: 8.2.8

App was great Todo 6 until it changedI’ve been using Todo 6 forever, I’m getting a message that says the developer needs to update the app before it will work with this iOS. So it will not open. I have a lot of data in this app that gets lost with any other version except Todo 6. I’ll update my rating if the developer makes the update so I can open Todo 6..Version: 10.1.2

MarkarattaStill useless. Don't take any notice of the 5 star reviews either. Don't waste your money..Version: 8.2.8

Can’t open my listsI made the unfortunate move of updating my Todo app today. Which really wasn’t smart since I don’t use the existing sync features. The new app popped up a message about the change and said that users were being given a one-year subscription as part of the update. Now I can’t open my lists unless I sign up for a subscription? Um, excuse me? I kept using Todo because I was too lazy to move all my tasks to a new platform. Guess I’ll do that now... from memory. Wish me luck!.Version: 10.0.8

Avoid !I was using TODO for years then suddenly without warning the app forced to update to TODO10 which now requires a paid subscription model. After updating it opened up and my data is now all screwed up, tasks from years ago have popped up, some current ones are there but lots missing. Seems they’ve screwed this ho badly and haven’t tested it properly. This has caused me massive inconvenience, I’ve now lost all reminders for upcoming bills, important reminders etc and it will take me days of work to find all the information. Thanks for nothing Appigo !.Version: 10.1.0

Screw subscriptionsI’ve used todo for a long time. The first version I bought they stopped developing and released a new version. I kept using the old one until iOS stopped supporting it and ended up buying the newer version. I used it a long time again, then they stopped developing it and released another new version. The new version is subscription based. I don’t believe in subscriptions for simple software packages like this. If it would have been a new purchase, I might have bought it someday when the version I had stopped working. Instead, I planned to just keep using the older version until iOS didn’t support it anymore. It worked fine for my needs. But then they released an “upgrade” to the older version that wasn’t an upgrade at all, it switched you to the new subscription version whether you wanted it or not. I don’t care if they gave you a “free year”, I wanted to keep the version I had. But that’s gone, no longer available in the App Store. Taking the app I paid for away, when it could have worked for me much longer than a year is fraudulent. I will never do business with Appigo again. I’ve purchased Things 3 and will not look back..Version: 10.0.9

SELF REPAIR WAS APPRECIATEDA total seizure self-repaired in 6 hours. That caused fear of data loss that did not happen. So far so good..Version: 8.2.4

Too clunkyThis was once a great app but I’ve stopped using it as the latest changes made it too clunky and difficult to use. I now use Apple’s reminder app instead. It’s a shame as a really liked this app..Version: 10.1.2

Lacking basic feature for a premium appTodo appigo review: Latest version: after exploring the app, it just doesn't has some basic option that I am looking for. For example, it does has a "global" app setting for due time and alarms. I did find a floral alarm setting in the settings menu, but it doesn't work. Also, when I have been notified of a task via an alarm, it should let me post pone the alarm to the next hour or two. The free app called errands has these options, and that is what I have been using recently. But beware errands does not sync to Toodledo and its iCloud function is not working. Like another user stated, I too have thousands of random tasks in the app. The worst part is that when I went to my toodledo account via a web browser, those thousands of random tasks were there also. Now it will take me another hour or so to clean these up. Thanks a lot..Version: 8.2.8

Poor. Don't update.I bought this app to get the features. it's now subscription based to retain those features I already paid for. Disappointed..Version: 10.0.8

A step backwards for a now annual costAfter getting over the sticker shock of having to pay a subscription for this app, I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go....I use this app multiple times a day. But I’m disappointed with this (forced) update as, even though it looks “pretty,” some functionality has disappeared. It’s now hard to tell which tasks are projects/checklists, location-based alerts don’t work at all, user default task settings don’t work and tasks only stay in their cloud for a maximum of two weeks (as opposed to a year, previously). All of these things worked fine in the previous version. Now I could just give this feedback to the developer....I did...with no response. The previous version went undeveloped for ages...and I fear it will happen to this one. Appigo has until my trial finishes to fix issues and restore functionality before I up sticks to a more proactive, customer friendly developer..Version: 10.0.9

Used to be greatHave moved to Wunderlist since Appigo moved to cloud based ToDo with a subscription service..Version: 8.2.8

Crashing after updateWas excited about new iPhone 6 screen compatibility, however app is crashing now every time I start..Version: 8.0.0

Tricked in to upgradingI was using the older version which was perfect for what I need (no subscription needed). Then I found my app updated I thought they finally fixed some bugs in it but no they just updated to look like the Todo Cloud. Now you have a free year subscription then you have to pay for it. The free app was perfect now will be looking for a non subscription Todo app. Good job killing off the free app..Version: 10.0.8

AngryI am very angry at this heavy handed move. I was not a free user - I paid a one-time fee. I understand your desire to change, but the way you handled this makes me very angry. I get a year to move. Goodbye..Version: 10.0.8

Bring Back Version 8I don't trust this company. They should just leave ToDo 8 available to those who bought it, then release separately a new version if they want to require ToDo Cloud garbage that you have to subscribe to. I have read some of their claims that they can't "fork" it and all kinds of other made up stuff. Just make a new app and name it something new like maybe "New ToDo." There are countless names Appigo could use. Heck, you could even call it "Todo 2021." Anything you want - I'm pretty sure Apple will let you sell more than one App on the store as a developer. The way they made me buy this app and then removed its functionality and sign up for a subscription is simply criminal. If they had just left ToDo 8 alone and allowed it to keep working all would be well, but greed reigned supreme from Appigo and they will never get busy from me ever again. They simpy cannot be trusted. I still use ToDo 8 but with iOS going to 14.5 it doesn't work anymore because I think Apple did some ridiculous change to how they "sign" Apps. I have many Apps that have adapted to this just fine, many of which go years and years back. They just ran a simple update to adapt to the new signing process. Of course I can't do that with ToDo version 8 because they only way to update it is to go to version 10, which breaks everything I do with this App (I sync between my iPhones iPads and Macs via iCloud). I PURCHASED Todo for iPhone, for iPad, and for Mac. But they have been rendered nonfunctional because a developer is too greedy and lazy to release a functionally different product under a new name. Appigo has become the biggest joke of a developer I have ever done business with, and I would suggest that everyone look elsewhere if you need a task manager, or ideally just stick with using Apple's Reminders for free..Version: 10.1.2

No Microsoft Exchange syncUnbelievably it still doesn't integrate with Microsoft Exchange do is useless for business. The most basic requirement of a business task app would be to sync with the companies Microsoft Exchange server in order to sync with my outlook. This app is possibly a nice toy for people to keep track of thing they need to do at home, but is otherwise a useless waste of money..Version: 7.0.3

Close but no cigar :-( 😖Over the years I've used numerous to do applications. Appigo's todo v7 is attractive and functional. However, it has one frustrating flaw that has not been resolved for more than 8 months. While searching for a project task (a task with sub tasks) you can not change the details of the project task. Even though you can find the project task in the search. You have quit the search and go manually find the project task to make the change. And when working with a half dozen folders and hundreds of tasks. This is maddening frustrating and slow process. Had conversation with support staff back in dec 2013 / Jan 2014 about this issue. They indicated that they forgot to include the information button (i) on the search screen. It's been 8 months and the app has not been updated. The older version 6 of the app has been updated 2 time in the last month. Can we give version 7 a little love... I would really like to love this app. But, I can't. I've started to go through the pain of look for other solutions. Ugh....Version: 7.0.3

What Todo needs todo...What a Todo needs Todo is make their app reliable. 3-4 times a year the synchronization between my 3 Apple devices fails using Dropbox and before that iCloud. And I refuse to pay Todo for their sync services full of feature that are of no use to me. It's time to painstakingly move my 131 tasks to another app..Version: 8.2.8

Don’t upgradeI have been happily using todo for a number of years and have nothing but praise for how good it WAS !!! How ever since being forced to upgrade to a pay per year version it is awful It is difficult to use and not logical The layout is messy and not easy to find things Can anyone recommend a decent Todo app please.Version: 10.0.9

You should purchase againI purchased this app few years ago. Appigo forced me to migrate to new version about 1 year ago. Today they banned my access to some important features and I can’t add any task. I don’t want the new features but I need to use the basic ones without paying money again..Version: 10.0.12

Silo’sThere was a time that this app was great. That was in the day that it sync’ed with desktop outlook. It never was useful to me and most at my corporation when they decided to go it alone and remove that feature..Version: 10.1.2

Mixed feelings....!Design and layout looks great and works well. However, despite all the update settings set correctly, when I open the app at the end of the day I have to go through at least 10 "failed to sync correctly errors" this is so annoying I wish I had of stayed with v6, vanilla yes but worked correctly!!! please sort it out....?.Version: 7.0.1

Used to be betterAbout a year or so ago the app started alerting me to the due times for things I'd already checked off as completed tasks. If it's done, I don't need reminding but the damn thing keeps telling me anyway WITH NO WAY to turn it off in the settings. Asking for help, you have to sign up for an account on their site, no email address or contact form, just more hassle. Used to love this simple app for keeping track of things, now I'm considering ditching it for something less annoying and less trouble to get help with..Version: 8.2.8

Once the best todo app ....My entire life revolved around this app for almost ten years. I go between Mac and PC and had the ability to sync, link and complete tasks for both work and home. However, for whatever reason, the ability to sync across all platforms vanished when the company decided to do away with its syncing to Toodledo. I tried to replace this with the Toodledo app but that isn’t working. The interface is abominable. Syncing with iCloud, which ToDo has changed to, is great but windows doesn’t recognize it. I am left with thinking about abandoning ToDo and going with Wunderlist since many seem to be pleased with this and it is cross platform. But I wanted to stay with this once small company as it is and was the only todo app that I felt worthy of my time. I have even payed for Toodledo’s annual fee just to use this app to sync across platforms. To say that I am disappointed right now (imagine 10 years of data) is an understatement. Yes the UI is second to none, but it seems as though a lot of attention has been placed on UI at the expense of utility. I would give this app a 5 if it could go back to syncing across multiple platforms..Version: 8.2.8

Doest show personal listsGot this after using v6 and syncing with Dropbox. Setup to sync in v7 and everything comes in but not in my personal lists which don't show. Major bug avoid until fixed. Also looks much worse than v6 but that's a personal opinion..Version: 7.0

Noticeable Performance Improvement in 10.1.0Responsivity is near real time now. Must have hired new talent because you can’t teach this stuff. It’s not real time enough, however, to prevent bait-and-switch substep selection, causing you to check off the wrong project or checklist after the app takes too long to sync and update. On the other hand, when you move through a repeating project or checklist slowly, checking off the sub tasks as you go, the app forgets about substeps after a certain period. So the next time you go through the procedure, some of the earlier steps are missing. And when you accidentally check off a project or checklist, all of the substeps are also checked off as one would expect. As one would NOT expect, on the other hand, when you correct the error, all of the substeps are still checked off. So you heave to go through the entire project or checklist and uncheck every substep. Very time consuming..Version: 10.1.12

Do NOT updateThis came up as an attractive improvement, but I lost all my existing lists, a lot of important and vital information. I expected my existing lists to show up in the new version. It’s all blank. This is the work of programmers who rushed to release without considering the user needs..Version: 10.0.8

New update wrecked a great appUsed to be a great app have used it for years and recommended it to friends but since the update it has flaws isn't reliable and as I use it for medical reminders that's a big problem - the old adage of "if it ain't broke why fix it " definitely applies to this app :(.Version: 8.2.7

Changed so repeated tasks require paymentWas a nice app until the changed to require payment for repeating tasks. It is now being deleted from my phone. Not worth the $6 a month..Version: 10.1.2

Stick to default (i.e. Apple)I loathe this App. It should be so straightforward and synch through the usual method. But no it doesn’t. And there’s no tutorial readily available. All commands are written in American English. Apparently 66 million Brits (without counting Commonwealth) isn’t enough to have it adapted to our market?? They do, however translate into Danish (5 million population)! So user unfriendly at a time when Apple’s Reminder has improved so much! What a waste of money.Version: 8.2.8

You destroyed all my reminders! You bastards. I was quite happily using an older version of ToDo (I think v.6). Your automatic upgrade to 10 overwrote my version and eliminated all my reminders. I Don’t want to subscribe, I Don’t want to use your cloud, I will NEVER use your new version. Never, Never, Never force your users to upgrade by destroying their data! I can’t send this with the zero stars you deserve. The one star is their only so I can register my outrage..Version: 10.0.8

OverpricedUsed this app for years to do simple task tracking. The custom repeats were good for the tasks I had. Went to add some new ones tasks with repeats only to find that I now needed a monthly subscription to do the same thing I had been doing for years. The old tasks still worked as long as I didn’t try to modify them but new repeating task required $$$. This app for the simple tasks that I use it for isn’t worth it. I’ll setup new repeating task in Apple’s Reminders instead. Legacy users should have to pay for these upgrades since we’ve been loyal users..Version: 10.1.2

It won't syncSince last update the app won't sync with Mac.Version: 8.2.3

Lost dataWow. I did the forced upgrade from v8 to v10. And. None of my data migrated over. None. Well, except for two random (completed and long forgotten) items from 2015. Wow. And no support option for help with this. Wow..Version: 10.0.9
