✓ This app should seriously have it’s own holiday..ThanksgivingI rarely write reviews but this app deserves a 20 minute standing ovation AND the kind of clapping that makes your hands hurt (yes it’s that good) so this is the least I can do! GET THE APP! No more boxes of receipts and digging around in my purse, wallet, console, (even went through the trash before) looking for a certain receipt s as t tax time or when my girls say they need to return something I bought for them. I can NOT tell you enough how much EASIER this app makes my life! You simply take a photo and it reads the information itself! You can create files. I’m an avid gardener so I’ve got my lawn and garden file. As a salon owner I’ve got individual files for salon supplies ...and being a single mom with 3 teens (2 in college & 1 in out of state military school) I’ve got files for each kid.. each of our vehicles etc. no more receipts out the wazoo! ✓ Foolproof Interface Very Easy To UseSo I downloaded this app as a mistake. I always have issues of losing receipts that are non significant in value and at the end of the month I'm always down like a couple hundred which I spent for business. I also love the way they you can select if it is a business or personal expense - I haven't started to use it for my personal life yet but I plan to from next month. ✓ Finally, a good digital solution for receipts!We regularly store receipts in case we ever need to exchange or return things. Purging the piles becomes onerous, so we end up with an absurd amount of receipts over time. Foreceipt eliminates that problem and makes it way easier to find receipts when we need them given the metadata we can store about them! It's also cool to be able to see spending by category, payment type, month, etc. The scanning technology, which extracts receipt data, is super nifty (although not always 100% accurate). The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is becomes of some technical glitches that I've experienced (e.g. the scan screen sometimes goes black for second scans, you can't place the cursor in the cost line edit one number - it always just backspaces from the end of the number) and some improvements that could be had (e.g. With editing receipts, sorting receipts, how drive storage is organized). All in all, though, I'm super excited about having this app and getting rid of paper receipts at last!!.Version: 2.5.6

✓ Puts Spending into PerspectiveI have to say I’m impressed with this app. I’m one of those people with numerous bank accounts and believed that bank statements would be enough. However, using this app is helpful to track spending in all accounts, and it helps me to stay organized. I love that I can store all my receipts here, it creates a chart for me to see my percentages AND budget. Highly recommend. ✓ I love this app butIt unclear about your current balances, I believe all of your accounts are shown as one. If it showed your balance for the different accounts this app would be great. And it would’ve been great to know you have to manually roll over your ending balance every month. I paid for pro on my iPad but the phone data sometimes is different. You’ll have to refresh it a few times. But my overall issue is it not stating/ being more specific with the current balance for which account. Adding this would make this app untouchable. When selecting the receipt to edit the price or name, the check on the top right corner is cut off. Not allowing me to confirm the changes. Maybe due to the new IOS update or application update. The receipt scanning is annoying because it will bug you about using it too much and it struggles with accuracy issues so editing is required nearly every time but overall i have been using manual entry. If im driving and in a pinch i will do a scan but for scanning i just let quick books self employed handle all that and let this app handle the saving to Google Drive for backup. Im an over the road driver and produce multiple receipts a day so having it yell at me about using it is kind of disturbing. It is a good tool to backup and categorize receipt data..Version: 2.5.9

I’m able to categorize my receipts amongst my company, add pictures of the receipts, write notes, and so much more. It has made doing taxes a breeze, and it’s great for referencing. But this app has made it easy and I love that it auto refills stores and categories for me. My biggest problem with the app comes with the sending the report. With added pictures the files become to big to send and I don't see a way to only send a few days at a time. I'm also trying to figure out how to only send certain days as my reports are for a certain amount not per a set of weeks or days. Helps with budgeting and keeps track of my spending, which I used to do all in a notebook. But now I’m paperless! One suggestion: once we create a receipt it defaults to showing me receipts by date created. Is there a way to turn this off? Or choose whether you want default to show receipts by receipt date or created date? This is fairly new feature and it’s annoying. At first I disregarded it due to not having OCR feature but after I realised the other apps were costly due to having to buy monthly subscriptions I came back to give it a proper go. Some really good features and fairly easy to use, no subscription plan as it works off your google drive. If you do all your expenses you will find its a fair bit of work to set up if outside the US and you want to change the categories etc but once you have spent this time it works well predicting categories on merchant names. ✓ Excellent app for Realtors / Self-employedI stumbled across this app back in 2016 when I first became a Realtor. Tried the free version for a bit and then decided to subscribe to the pro version and 4+ years after, I am still a fan. Easy to use; smart scanning of receipts for quick capture and I just learned about the email receipts feature which is convenient. At the end of each year, I can easily download an excel version of all my income and expense items and then run filters on it to help me file my HST and Income Taxes (yes this the dreaded tax filing that we Cdns go thru each year). ✓ Tracks my receipts with easeI was using ScanSnap Home with a Fujitsu scanner to track receipts. But that has really been a chore, especially after they rewrote the software, stripping many needed features. No iOS version is planned so I decided to look elsewhere as I need portability. I evaluated many different apps (Quickbooks Mobile , Expensify, etc) and decided on Foreceipt. It’s not perfect, (OCR needs work) but my workflow to track receipts is greatly simplified. I especially like receipts emailed to a special Foreceipt email address ( I purchase a lot from Lowe’s and Home Depot) are easily processed. Auto cropping paper receipts removes a lot of the guesswork when processing receipts. I get a great running total of my expenses and the PDF and Excel spreadsheet features work great. Data is stored on Amazon’s servers but I still keep my paper copies. Support during my evaluation period, 3 weeks, was good but there were times when answers to questions concerning program operations took a few days. But support for when data hiccups occurred (twice) was very prompt and quickly addressed with no data loss. The trial period is very generous, allowing premium features so you can really get a feel of how useful this app can be. Do what I did and give it a try. However, when the trial version was up I was presented with options to upgrade at $0.99/month ot $9.99/year- I thought this was a great deal co differing he functionality of the trial version. I decided to hit the $9.99/year option and was asked to verify purchase with finger print which I did then immediately it flashed up as $51.99/year!!! What happened between $9.99 and $51.99? Unbeknownst I had copied and pasted misplacing the meta-data version of the files. Three years of my information was not syncing. I was able to contact customer service and on a GoToMeeting together solved the mess I created. ✓ Easy to use; decent tech supportI hate keeping receipts but want to easily reconcile credit card charges. This app makes eliminating receipts and reconciling charges easy. Scanning is simple & recognizes receipts well, automatically entering most info. Anything that is incorrect can be edited quickly. At the end of the month I export the receipts to a csv file then have excel match the transactions exported from Quicken or Mint. Receipts are stored on Google drive & don’t take much room so the free version is more than enough. The only problem I had with the app was one I created by accidentally deleting a receipt folder on Google drive. The folder was in the trash can so when I scanned the receipt it would disappear from the app. Working with tech support we figured it out. I think the developers are 3 guys working out of their house so it’s not like a call center but they were responsive enough. This app is worth the money b/c it saves me significant time & hassle plus I recover enough from inaccurate credit card charges..Version: 3.1.1
✓ Works Amazing!Took a little getting used to at first but now that I have the hang of it and can customize the different categories and create budgets and see where money is flowing in different areas more accurately, I am able to get a much more accurate picture of my spending from all accounts in one place. Scans pretty accurately but I set it to manual photo instead of auto and that seemed to work better as you would almost have to have it perfect to get it with auto. Great design and implementation!
