✓ Does not work with my iPad air or iPhone 10.I purchased book for my ACLS class today. I’ve tried several times to open on my iPhone 10 but it simply doesn’t, keeps logging out. I tried on my IPad Air it does the same. Now that’s very disappointing..Version: 6.4.0
✓ App will not allow log-in capabilitiesI have tried logging into the app multiple times and it doesn’t log in. I can login without any problems going straight to the website, but when I’m teaching a class I need this app to work..Version: 7.3.3

✓ Waste of timeI downloaded the app. Then purchased the ACLS ebook on their site. Go back to the app, ebook isn’t there. Call back to support, 3rd time now. No one available. Have spent over an hour on this crap technology. For the amount they charge I expect better interface. Just buy the hard copy and wait for it in the mail. How is this app rated 4.8 stars???? ✓ This app does not work!So I purchased ACLS and BLS to review on my iPad and I cannot even access them!!! First the app wouldn't recognize my username and password then it finally did (and, yes I was entering the correct information) and now that it has it won't open the books, it keeps saying delete and Download again, which I have done about 20 times and it still doesn't work. ✓ Horribly unresponsive interfaceIt just sticks on a page, can't get it to move sometimes. Would be very handy if it would respond better to gestures. Seriously people, just buy the book. I can't move between the self review questions and the answer sheet at the back of the book unless I log out of my ipad and log in again. Time waster!.Version: 5.8.2

✓ Won’t Log In - UselessThis app will not log me in, after several attempts on several days. I just keep seeing a loading screen. Therefore, this app is useless. Also, if you click on “App Support” it send you to the “Contact Us” page on the American Heart Association’s website. I could have done that, if I wanted to talk to someone about the AHA in general. ✓ Great idea. Needs workThe app is nice when you can use it. The lack of app support is troublesome. For instance when you cannot sign in on a new phone because the app states you are signed in on too many devices. It would be nice to unauthorize a device I no longer have. ✓ ???I can log in BUT Library is blank. It says you have no books. I have tried the sync option multiple times. On the website all my books are in my library. I wanted an eBook so I can read it on my iPad. Why don’t you just publish it on iBooks or Kindle. Leave the technical stuff to people with the know how..Version: 5.13

✓ Terrible User InterfaceAs others have said, hands down a terrible reader. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, this is the only choice of reader if you want AHA books on an iOS device. But really, they need to through this reader in the garbage bin and write/buy one that actually is useable..Version: 5.6
✓ What a way to complicate things...One click on any part of the page and the app loads the same section and when you go back it loses time on loading the same part you were reading. Also highlighting/unhighlighting must improve. Waste of time, should have bought hard copy of the book..Version: 5.6.1
✓ Functionality needs to improveI have excellent vision...but had to find an ancient magnifying glass to be able to actually read the algorithm components of my e-book because you can’t use the common iPhone capability of making the text view bigger by using 2 fingers to expand the content. I have an iPhone X. I have the same issue on my Apple notebook computer with this e-reader. If this issue can’t be fixed, I don’t know why AHA just can’t allow normal downloads into iBooks or Kindle (or other types of personal libraries). This is intolerable. Just get the hard copy book and algorithm pocket guides if you have the time to wait for them. If not — get a very good magnifying glass and good luck!! Forget using it clinically in an emergency due to this situation...unless you have a high quality magnifying glass in your pocket..Version: 6.4.1

✓ FrustratingNeeds work...highlight feature is difficult to initiate without accidentally going to "full screen". Any change in orientation of your device manipulates the page to cut certain portions of the script. Different actions take you to the beginning of the chapter for no reason. ✓ Total waste of money and then time attempting to keep it workingThe desktop version is barely adequate - was unable to download one of the purchased titles for months, then it just magically seemed to work. Since then the desktop title has worked but face it - we purchase an electronic version for the easy access and it has never been reliable disappearing ad lib and only sometimes reappearing when I sync the account. I just ended a phone call with tech support and they cannot access the network to assist. I very much regret not going with the paper version and am attempting to obtain a refund. This has been a most unsatisfactory experience. Update - they tell me that they will keep working on the issue but will not refund my money as the purchase went through a third party Channing Bete who also refused me a refund. ✓ Needs MUCH ImprovementHard to maneuver. Bad page layout. Any change in orientation takes you to the beginning of the chapter. Changing pages may clip top of page off with the app header. At this time a total waste of $$. Should have gotten hard copy instead.Version: 5.4
✓ Terrible app, terrible supportThe app was practically useless. I was not able to open the books which I had already downloaded on the 2nd day I had the app just before my class. It just kept shutting down. I tried re installing and signing in again without success. The support chat is a joke. I sent a message at 3 pm and there was no response till 2 am the next day. How is that helpful to have a chat with 12 hour response delay replying in the middle of the night and not even with any actual help. This needs some serious improvement. ✓ Great once you get your bookHad trouble finding the 2015 ACLS Provider Manual. It would not show up on the bookshelf in the bookshelf view. Spent almost an hour with tech support. ✓ How did this app get 4.8 stars?This is one of the worst ebook readers I’ve happened to use on my phone. The controls for it are place in a way you can’t use them. It is very hard to press the back button or any other button at the top of the screen. The ones that appear at the bottom of the screen are worst, don’t work at all. Anyone using an iPhone 12, I don’t recommend this app until they fix it. Hopefully it’ll be soon. Pretty disappointed with this app that is meant for education..Version: 6.4.4

With so many great e-readers available, AHA has dropped the ball on this proprietary app. As an instructor I was hoping this would would be useful, but it couldn't be further from the truth. No page numbers to index with students using a textbooks! Highlighting and notation is an absolute joke! View sizing is worthless! You can't get signed in, so even after you buy their eBook on line it does no good because their app will not allow you to sign in to get your book, their tech support is an email address that doesn't respond so you are out of luck if you want to get their eBook. ✓ Very badThis is the worst e-reader app I have ever seen. My book would not open offline after download. Embarrassing for an app that provides such critical emergency medical resources. It would make more sense to distribute these books via a reliable, existing platform such as Kindle. ✓ Flips pages when trying to highlight...I am using it for ACLS Instructor manual. When trying to highlight, it flips pages. When trying to swipe up and down to navigate, it opens chapters in another page. When trying to find a specific checklist, I cannot browse through pages or contents with a glance...I need to scroll manually through all section content. Gave it two stars because I was able to place bookmarks and (frustratingly) get some content highlighted, and this made it usable for navigation. ✓ Useless GarbageIf one cannot print the ACLS algorithms to use and take to class, then this renders the reader completely useless. The same is true of the eBook. What a complete waste of my time and resources. Next time I’ll purchase a used book. ✓ New PALS card not formatted correctlyI had the 2016 PALS card and it was great. It was just like having a hard copy. The 2020 card isn’t formatted correctly the columns aren’t spaced right and the Braslow card is portrait not landscape which makes it unusable.
