✓ Needs 2 featuresThe app is great as I use it for my university notes but it would be great if there was a curser mode where I can freely move my finger around the page without setting of pen or rubber. ✓ I have requested a certain feature for years.I feel frustrated. I have been requesting a certain feature for years. The developers told me repeated that they are “working on it,” but the request has not been fulfilled. After a time, I stopped asking. Notepad+ provides the user with several page templates, and that’s a great feature; however, one cannot use more than one template within a document. One can change the templates whenever one wishes, but only on a notebook-by-notebook basis and not on a page-by-page basis. It would be great if the developers could offer this feature — the option to use more than one template in a single notebook. I know that I would use the app more frequently if that were available. I believe that it is not difficult to create this feature, as several apps do provide it..Version: 3.11
✓ Nope. Don’t do it.I was already feeling disappointed when I paid what I paid and still had to watch ads every time I turned the page. I had written out pages and pages of notes for work when the app froze. When I got back into the app everything I had written was gone. ✓ Good but needs some workI like taking notes with this app. I’ve been able to fill out PDFs so much easier. Rather than printing out pdf documents and filling them out on paper I can easily just do it over the tablet and email them, but one down side to this app is that it will still add pages when you accidentally press on the page arrows with your palm when writing. They should either move the page arrows away from there, or the page arrows should be disabled when the palm rejection is up..Version: 3.11
✓ Slow glitchy drawing when use pencil and hand touches the screenThe app seems great, nice templates for teaching, presentations, etc. The only problem I have (and which makes the app less usable) is the drawing becomes less responsive and slow when you put your hand on the iPad screen for more convenient drawing. At this moment lines become noticeably slow, you can see how a line is not yet finished while you have already finished a drawing. When only the pencil (Apple Pencil for iPad Pro) touches the screen there’s no this issue, and drawing is pretty responsive, like on real paper. But once you put your hand on the screen, it becomes almost unusable when you need to draw pictures fast at explanations. But constantly holding a hand in the air makes it super inconvenient to draw. The technical reason of this issue is that the app seems tries to draw lines when a multitouch is applied (two fingers on the screen), and when you put your hand on the screen it seems treats it as a second touch together with the pencil. Please fix this issue so the drawing is responsive, and the app will be usable. Thanks!.Version: 3.11
✓ For me it's greatI really like this app because I want to write a diary, but also like to write by hand because it makes it more personal. I also like the way you can import photos into it. I took some stars off partly because it could do with some functionality, like organising notes by tags, and adding a search function. The other star came off because the templates showed such promise but in the end were pretty naff and disappointing. I was hoping the diary template would actually work like a diary and have dates, etc. So, in short, a lot of development potential so long as they keep it simple, but also a long way to go imho..Version: 3.9

✓ Needs work. Not quite worth the money.For 20 dollars, I should be able to use whatever color I want to write with, not your defaults! You should look into apps like procreate to see how they're handling the Apple Pencil. Two fingers for undo, and the recognition is much better and my fingers don't draw in procreate when I try to zoom in and out. If I try to swipe to turn a page, my finger draws as well. ✓ Buyer be waryI used the earlier version of Notepad for several years. I liked it because I could incorporate drawings and graphs. I have notes from about four years of scientific meetings saved. Then with no warning they released an updated version and stopped supporting the original version. I can no longer access my notes! I have been corresponding with the Support Team for the past 4-6 weeks. So far they have not been able to come up with a solution. ✓ Storage hog problem - Developer unresponsiveI am posting once again about a problem I am having with this app. I have eliminated all but two documents from my notepad+pro. These two little documents are taking up more than 3.5 gigs of storage on my new iPad. The developer responded that I should get in touch with them directly thru email, which I did. They have not answered. I have decreased my rating from three to two stars. I thought costlier the app, more efficient and user friendly it would be. It has slight lag and the writing isn't smooth enough. Second, The hand writing isn't being reflected smooth enough. When text appears on screen, it looks distorted. Third, the thinnest pen size is too thick for my liking. The writing with thinnest size doesn't appear impressive. ✓ Do not downloadThis app has been nothing but frustrating since I downloaded it. There is a certain spot on the sheet where it does not allow you to write, I guess it does not back up correctly which causes your very important notes to be deleted. As well as not being able to transfer over a few pages of one document to another without it taking all the other pages that you would not like to keep. This app needs some serious updating and another thing, when you open the app, it tends to barely be refreshing or something because the pen will usually take about an hour to really write at your pace because it’s just so slow. However My main complete is the fact that after 20 mins work on a note or drawing the app will revert to an automated saved note from 10 mins earlier. This is infuriating. When you zoom in to draw fine detail then the line accuracy is dismal. The lines snap to a random point 5mm away. When you draw a geometric square or circle and you later want to move this shape it is pretty much impossible to edit the shape. Also the supplied templates are full of spelling mistakes. Having looked at a number of opetions I decided to try this app. two days in and I cant use it! I find it clumsy when writing on it as the palm rest feature needs to be altered all the time. Update: I have discovered a bug in the current version when writing with my Apple Pencil where a particular section of the iPad is a dead zone. I can write/draw from outside this zone inward as long as I do not raise my pencil from the screen. ✓ DisappointedLots of template forms, but you can't create your own. If you've got an Apple Pencil this isn't the app for you. Unless you drag up the palm rest you'll get smudges all over your notes. There's no pressure sensitivity so no varying line width unless you choose a width setting. There's no pencil tool so don't even think about shading a drawing. Doesn't matter how you hold the Pencil the line is just a marker pen. On the whole, very disappointing and an expensive mistake. Much better apps for the Apple Pencil. However, I have noticed from time to time...that select pages or entire saved notes were erased. I have made them aware of this problem before. With no real solution rendered. Wasn’t a big deal until today. As the caretaker for my father, I relied on this app for all of my father’s extensive medication and care. The app was wonderful...as I had everything on the iPad...I could show his doctors...refer to it while talking in the offices or on the phone. However, again...today...I opened the app...and all of my father’s medication and Healthcare related information was erased...the pages...were completely blank. Gone. Very disappointed. HOWEVER - After a while, I noticed that occasionally the last page of whatever I was working on would simply DISAPPEAR with no way of retrieving it! I have lost important lesson plans and designs for artwork. This is beyond frustrating, as is the developer’s silence after my email regarding the situation. After the first time it happened, I was willing to chalk it up to a one-time glitch, and continued using the app, but I’m afraid now that it is happening more regularly, and the developer offers no solutions, I can no longer afford to risk it. ✓ Needs some fine tuningGenerally works well, but can do better. Despite my comments I prefer this app over the others out there. Firstly the range of pen colours are limited and the dark blue appears black on screen. Why not have a wider spectrum or user defined options? More templates please or the option to design your own. No diary option is a real pain. I would like to have the ability to change templates sequentially - say diary day page, followed by a to do list followed by some drawing and note pages depending on my activities that day - with a variation of this the next day etc. At the moment this requires at least 3 different files. Lastly why don’t you have a library of basic shapes or the ability to draw a straight line with the pencil - this will speed things up as sometimes free hand can be slow. Carl.Version: 3.11
✓ Horrible!I purchased this app yesterday and have had nothing but trouble with it so far! When selecting a font or the font colour the selection panel stays hidden behind the key board. After looking for help or trouble shooting solutions and finding nothing, I resorted to switching the iPad off and on , which sorted the issue out for about 5 minutes before it happened again. There are not enough colour or font choices , the inserted text can only be placed horizontally, the maximum font size is not large enough to make an impact on a poster design. I could go on , but it’s not worth wasting anymore time ob this app,JUST DO NOT BUY IT!.Version: 3.11

✓ Horrible appUpdate: September 2018 ... still a piece of crap software. No fixes for one year. Still does not even work well in iOS 12. Rip off. One Year Ago: Using a Apple Pencil and the glasses in the bottom right corner is very slow and not responsive. Gone back to Notability. Working on iPad Pro..Version: 3.11
