✓ Natural language input and support don’t workThe app looks nice and has some nice features, but I really wanted it for the natural language input, which was done so well by the now sadly deceased QuickCal. Unfortunately miCal cannot even recognize the examples given on its help page. I have tried contacting the developer for support, but the only response has been an automated message saying someone will get back to me. It’s been two weeks so far: no active response at all. Why do we have to pay for this app if the developers can’t be bothered? I certainly can’t be bothered to give them more than one star..Version: 8.2.8

✓ Version 7.1Ok....7.1 fixes some of the issues I had with this but PLEASE could we have restored the ability to put a 'Contact' with an event as well as an Invitee - often I want to add a contact number to do with an appointment, eg dentist, but don't want to send an invitation. ✓ Has PotentialThe app does indeed offer everything you need in a calendar app..BUT! Why isn't there an option to change text size? So many apps fail to offer this. My eyes are far from 20/20 but come on, the text is virtually un readable. Get this sorted for heavens sake!!!!.Version: 7.7
✓ Still good, but last update …Skewed saved occasions/entries OFF one day! Also lost date-on-app function. Deleted, reinstalled to no avail. Please fix. Been using for 9 years and don’t really want to find another cal. Thanks..Version: 8.3.7
✓ Do not buy if you value your privacy!!This app asks if you want to turn on location tracking supposedly to give you weather info. However, the location tracking is not for only when you use the app - but ALL the time. If you choose to disable location tracking (as I did) then almost every time you open the app you are given a pop-up 'hint' suggesting you turn on location tracking which you have to cancel. And to make things even worse, sometimes you have to cancel the hint up to 5 times in succession before it will let you use the app! This is extremely dodgy and unfortunate as the functionlity/useability of the app is otherwise good. I am deleting this app and going with Week calendar for ipad instead..Version: 7.5.5

✓ Not iOS 13 compatibleHow can you announce iOS 13 compatibility without testing Dark Mode??!! It’s a main feature of iOS 13 and this app is COMPLETELY UNUSABLE in Dark Mode. There’s white text on white backgrounds everywhere. I can’t see what buttons do, when creating a new event and editing the start/end time I can’t see the date/time rollers AT ALL. They’re still present, I can manipulate them, but I have to guess at their location and their value. This app is normally great but this update was really phoned in. Fire your tester that certified it was compatible with iOS 13 because they’re stealing from you..Version: 8.1
✓ Reminders disappearingThe feature I used to love on this app was the multiple reminders you can set for an event. Within the past few months though the reminders disappear at various later times. For example: I set an event that’s 2 weeks out with 8 reminders and then save it. I look at the event later and all but one of the reminders have disappeared. The one remaining reminder is random (anywhere from 5 min to 3 days). I’ve nearly missed appointments due to this more recent flaw. This used to be my favorite calendar app but I may need to switch to one that’s more reliable..Version: 8.2

✓ Not so naturalIt's a great calendar but the natural language option, if you select it, is hardly natural language. As far as I can see you can put in words in a fairly rigid schema that isn't very flexible and therefore not very natural and it does not recognise 2245 as 22hrs 45 minutes nor 22.45 nor 22/45. There is something not quite right in its feel but it looks great. Such a pity, I've bought fantastical instead and it seems to have more natural natural language capabilities. It strains language to call the offering this option natural language. At least they should tell you more about the input and how to do it..Version: 7.6.2
✓ It’s a calendar not a weather appI do think this app is an improvement over the standard diary. However, since I updated it it has been trying to track my location. It says that this is so it can tell me the weather. I don’t want it to tell me the weather; I have other apps for that. I don’t like or trust any app that tries to track me all the time. I’ve switched tracking off - so now EVERY time I start it up it suggests I turn it on again. This is annoying. So annoying that if they don’t turn this off I may delete it..Version: 7.9.1

✓ Even after update...I still use the original miCal. The font in the new version is terrible. It might be more "iOS8" but it's bad. Way too thin for the amount of text being crammed on the screen. Please give us the option to choose the original, chunkier font. I don't feel like the new format is readable at a glance like the previous version. Also...the colour schemes, even the new Gray and Dark schemes are very poor for readability. Please bring back the old scheme. I'm sure there are benefits to the new version of miCal but until the visuals of the app can be fixed I will be sticking to the original..Version: 7.5
✓ What happened to Tasks?Being able to have a running list of 'tasks to do' that easily converted into an event was the main reason I loved the old version. I just paid for an upgrade that eliminated the best feature. I will not use this new version until the Task function is returned. Disappointed..Version: 7.0.2
✓ Where are the notifications?The calendar views and options are great. This is definitely better than most calendar apps, especially if you need a detailed month view. But, WHERE ARE THE NOTIFICATIONS? Notifications are turned on but do not work. Unless I’m missing something, you have to use the notifications from the stock calendar app. That creates unnecessary steps and makes the app unusable. I contacted support and didn’t receive a response. Deleting until the notifications work..Version: 8.0.1
✓ Awesome calendar, but....I've used MiCal for years and it has been such an good platform for organising my life. However, I've recently gotten an new phone and had to update the version I had to the current one and I hate the way it looks. My previous version was 4.9.6 and things were so much easier to see. The words were more bold, the colours better and the views just so much nicer to look at and easier to navigate. Have been looking at other calendars because of this. The functionality is brilliant but the presentation is less than impressive. I want the old version back! 😔.Version: 7.8
✓ No split view - lowering ratingI have used miCal for a few years and really like some of its features. But it still doesn’t have split screen support. This makes it hard to work with on iPad and other apps. I have tested many calendars and they have split screen support. However also see miCal is not updated now 8 months. I have been supporting this app since they started, but when one has three devices like me, an iPad, and iPhone and and iMac, one would expect seamless syncing, but not this guy. I am forever tweaking the settings but one ends up with missing events accross all devices. My review? look for a safer more reliable alternative that can sync across devices and can offer support if needed..Version: 7.9.4
✓ Need bold !!!I totally agree with the previous review, I had the previous version which I was very happy with except it hasn't been updated. It is incredibly difficult to see such a thin font. With some colours it's difficult to read the black writing as well. Also instead of the digital clock and I have an analog clock which is also hard to decipher at a glance. If they could fix these things that would be great, And then you would get five stars but unfortunately I have to go back to the old app. Such a shame..Version: 7.8

✓ Edit timeI’ve been using this app for years and I really like it, but I have to say this: editing the starting and ending times for events is completely idiotic in miCal. If I try to edit the starting time of an event , it constantly changes the end time to something I don’t want - the same vice versa. ✓ Text far too small on a smart phoneThis used to be a great app, but since the upgrade to the GUI the text is so small it's tantamount to unusable on a standard iphone screen. This used not to be the case. A larger and bolder font is urgently required or people will look elsewhere or just use the na tent calendar app. At least make the font size user definable. Cannot currently recommend as can't see the information.Version: 7.8
