✓ Do NOT use to edit code files!The text editor for this app will convert all your quotes to smart quotes. So, don’t use it to edit any code files or it’ll hose them! I got a developer response telling me to disable smart quotes system wide to fix the issue. That is not a solution when other FTP apps, that I now use, do not have this issue. The app shouldn’t allow smart quotes, it shouldn’t matter what my system wide settings are..VarcosVersion: 3.2.1

✓ BuggyI’m using this to edit html and php files on an ftp server. It keeps changing my double quotes to left and right quotation marks, then telling me that I’m not using the correct encoding. Also, copying and pasting text causes a temporary change in font size and color of the whole document. Not sure what other people are using this for, but for editing a simple text file, I’d rather just get a shell and edit using emacs or (ugh) even vi. Glad I tried the lite version first. Update from developer response: This apparently has to do with the smart punctuation feature of iOS 11 (released in September 2017). It is now April 2018, more than 6 months later, and the developers have not produced a fix for this. ✓ Nagging to upgrade to proThis looked like a decent little app. Until you actually click on something. Everything you click on it prompts you to upgrade. How many times do I have to say not now? Then it also turns the background of your code PURPLE so you can barely read it. It says "Tired of the purple? Upgrade to Pro." When they actually make this useable I will be glad to change me review. But as it is I cannot even read my code because they change the background so you can't. ✓ Most frustrating app ever.All, please avoid if you want to keep your sanity. To app dev. Fix your error messages. Having only 1 connection failed error is useless. App needs a better interface to upload and download files. Give me the option again to allow access to all so I can connect to my ftp server. Had to uninstall and reinstall to get this option back. FTP Client Lite works most of the time. If it is not working for you, we recommend you excersise some patience and retry later or contact FTP Client Lite.
