✓ Feels unresponsiveReally love the idea of the time trial, but it's a bit frustrating because the movements are slow and feel unresponsive..Version: 1.0.0
✓ I don’t know what to sayHeya! I mostly like this game. MOSTLY. Why you ask? I don’t know, maybe because it’s basically useless to play? So... I was playing, and the got off and came back in like an hour. My progress was lost! Not the stats ( who even cares about them? ). I was on like 4096 and more, but it bought me to when I didn’t have a single 2048. It happens wayyy too often now. Also, it’s getting very very boring. It’s fun for about a month ( when you are still a noob ) but then you just run out of goals... so yeah... add stuff!!! Why not??? We’re all literally locked down! I don’t know if I would recommend this. It’s boring, as I already said..Version: 4.4.1
✓ Quite laggyI have had the clone version of 2048 for a while but since I got fed up with stupid Game Center popup everytime I start the game I decided to search for other versions and found this. I really appreciate this being the original creator app... But what is up with it? The movements are super laggy, the new tiles take forever to spawn and the movements are often wrong eg. a lot of times it swiped up when I swipe to the right. Brilliant app otherwise, great idea and it's super addictive too. But the lag issue should be fixed....Version: 1.0.2
✓ Getting suckyThe earlier versions were a perfect time killer. Quick and nasty. With the past 2 or 3 version updates, it's slowed down a lot--a lag so noticeable that in the middle of an intense session, my swipe doesn't go through and my next intended swipe goes through instead, leaving my carefully planned strategy in disarray!! ✓ AngryThis app used to be my favourite and I loved supporting the original creator. However, they have absolutely ruined the game by introducing pop up adverts mid-game. I didn't mind the introduction of adverts between games, I know they have to try and monetise the app and adverts are necessary for this. Adding popup ads mid game utterly ruins the experience and I'm so angry about it I will be deleting this app until such time the developers come to their senses and remove this abomination. Well done guys you've lost a customer. PS you're lying when you say the ads have been removed. You took them off but then put them back in..Version: 2.0

✓ Brilliant game, mediocre appFantastic little game. Simple, yet clever, compelling and infinitely replayable I would recommend 2048 to anyone. Unfortunately however I experience a lot of lag with this app, a problem I've never had playing on this same device online. It's highly frustrating, especially when it causes me to throw what should have been a winnable game, and makes the timed play feature utterly redundant. I also found that the moving ads distract from what is usually a very calming, almost meditative, experience, and spoil an otherwise very attractive design. A minor issue, but just another reason to stick to playing in-browser. Would only really recommend this app if you're a 2048 addict with poor internet connectivity..Version: 1.0.2
✓ DON’T BOTHER with this gameSwipe detection is flawed, as it’s been for years. In other words, sometimes when you swipe one way with your finger, the tiles slide a different direction. And it happens fairly frequently. And you can only undo one step, so if you’re playing fast and you swipe twice before realizing the game behaved incorrectly, you’re screwed. No, I’m not kidding. The game is THAT incompetent. Can you think of another game that has FREQUENT errors like this? It’s disgraceful. And there’s only one step of undo. I think the programmer needs to admit that they are too incompetent to implement the swipe detection properly, so the only way to salvage the game is to give more steps of undo to fix the game’s frequent errors. Imagine how frustrating it is to get to a high score and then have the game ruined by the buggy swipe. Do yourself a favor and choose a different version of this game..Version: 4.5.1
✓ Slow and sluggishIf this was written using phonegap, I suggest you need to revisit it because it's way too slow to respond and makes the time trial almost unplayable. Shame because you are the original author and the web version is perfect..Version: 1.0.0

✓ Can’t turn the sound off.Would probably be a lot more fun to play if there was a way to turn off all the swooshing noises. Even when I try to turn my phone on silent and turn the volume all the way down, the stupid noises are on at full volume all the time. That’s why I gave up and deleted the app..Version: 4.6.4
✓ Inappropriate AdsSo. I downloaded this app, because of its rating which was better than the other 2048 game. But guess what. I have two cousins, and they were playing the game and an inappropriate ad showed up. Like, really inappropriate. They are less than 10 years old. ✓ Need No Ad OptionThe game is fun, but I would be More than willing to pay to have the ads removed. Especially since they are aggressive and force you to visit the App Store as if you plan to download the game. When I try to close an ad it will launch the App Store over and over again. ✓ Poor swipe detectionA slightly diagonal swipe can get interpreted as a different direction than you meant. The game needs to wait for a little bit longer swipe before moving the tiles. I've played several 2048 games, and this is the only one that misinterpreted swipes. I played this game once, up to 256, and it had already misinterpreted 2 swipes. Forget it, that's way too twitchy swipe detection for this kind of game. UPDATE: the developer says I was touching the screen with multiple fingers, and to turn off the “extended swipe” feature. But I wasn’t touching with multiple fingers. I reinstalled the game and turned off extended swipe. The game still interprets even super-slight movement of my ONE fingertip as a full swipe. It’s still way too sensitive and interprets touch input before there’s enough input to accurately identify the overall direction of the swipe. I’m using an iPhone 6..Version: 2.0

✓ Ads ruin the experienceThe game was great. I liked the colors on this better than others. Previously, the ads were bearable. They claim that the update didn’t add more ads — maybe they think that’s true, but the ads that existed before generally to upgrade the game. Occasionally there would be ads for other games. Now, there’s ads for all kinds of annoying stuff — one even tried to get me to turn on my location for 2048. The location of the close ad button has changed. It used to be in the upper right corner consistently. Now, the close area unpredictability changes. More often than not, the click target is small. Both of these issues leads to accessibility clicking the ad. The trickery is unacceptable. I’ve deleted this game from my phone.Version: 4.5
✓ Official but the clones play betterFirst off I'm much happier using this app than any of the clones as the revenue goes to the original creator which is the way it should be. However the game itself feels slow and sluggish, the movements seem to have a slight delay which isn't in any of the clones I've played. Also you have to swipe on the board itself, there is a lot of whitespace below the board which is unresponsive. This makes it annoying to play when making fast movements as you frequently miss the board. The time trial mode is excellent and I really like that idea! I'm going to stick with this version to ensure the revenue goes where it should but these problems need to be resolved..Version: 1.0.0
✓ Cash Grab with AdsI was disappointed to find the original version of the game has been corrupted by the publisher with ads, and an expensive ad removal option. Because this game is not original work, the creator did not want it monetized. When ads were originally introduced, the fee was also considerably less. I didn’t mind paying that time, but now the ads are back and for much more money. This is just a greedy publisher trying to cash in. If you’re looking for a replacement: try the game that inspired 2048, “Threes”. Update following the developer’s comment: If the confusion stems from use of the word “original” in the first sentence, I’m referring to this version as the original 2048. If you mean generally: there’s no originality to the game itself. The game is an intentional clone of Threes according to the creator, who made the game in a weekend as an exercise. The creator also stated this game should never draw profit because it is not original work. That information is available many places online. ✓ Beware of damaging your thumb!The game is nice and tend to be addictive. However - after a few hours of playing over a few days, i got pain in my thumb (stopped playing, but it continue for more than a week). Unlike most games, this one rely on fast and repeated movement of the thumb. I never had pains with any other games or phone usage. App developers: please add warning on this, and give recommendation for a break every 20 minutes or so. Explain why and count total game time. This is the responsible thing to do with the specific movement this game requires. Even for people that does not suffer pain - I am sure it is damaging for long term..Version: 4.8

✓ Ads Have Made my Favorite App UnusableEdit: recv’d response from dev that all ads have x’s in corners. this simply isn’t the case. some ads started coming with app store buttons to close instead of the x’s, and increasingly ads started showing up with none. when i couldn’t find any, i even blindly tapped the corners where they usually are. clicking into the ad and returning with < 2048 in upper left still reveals no x. on iphone 12 pro max; 15.3.1. i played the game many times a day, trying to keep my 2048 tile time under 10min, and 4096 under 22min. i’m pretty sure i’m not being stumped by the ad close button between games, but i could be wrong…i was getting ad server errors intermittently as well with something like “index?foo&bar could not be displayed properly.” ///////// The ads have ruined this app. The game itself is a commodity by now, so there are lots of different apps with the same game. The ads they’re serving between games take the app hostsge indefinitely. i’m uninstalling it and using one of the alternatives. it’s just not worth the pain of having to kill the app between each game when there are so many alternatives available..Version: 4.8
✓ Swipes still inaccurateToo many games are ruined when I swipe one direction and the game misinterprets it as another direction. Just now I was well on my way to 4096 tile when a misregistered swipe sabotaged my game. No fun. This game claims to be the original, and it’s critical of the imitators. But the imitators are clearly better developers. Maybe you should hire them instead of complaining that they stole your IP when they have done a better job bringing it to life..Version: 4.4.1
