✓ Eats up stored battery energy and other issuesMost importantly, this app (according to Geek Squad technicians) eats up stored battery energy at unusually high rates. In one instance, I played two games in Two minutes yet my battery was drained of 6% of its energy. Second, you can set the game controller to provide 100% wins, but Solebon will not let that happen. After several wins, they want you to pay $.99 to retain your winning streak. That, in my opinion, is a deceptive trade practice. That should have been disclosed up front. ✓ THE ADVERTS ARE TAKING OVER*UPDATE!* After posting this review and receiving a response from the developer that they apparently ‘do not allow video ads’ the unskippable ads that were popping up did happen to disappear for a while. This is until the most recent update. Now there are horrible pop ups with animations trying to get you to play little word game demos that you can’t skip! It seems that the developers like to add this sort of thing back in occasionally to make some cash until people kick up a stink about it and drop it for a while. Really not a great way to treat people! This used to be a great little free app, with unobtrusive ads that would occasionally appear between games, but now they have started playing video ads right in the middle of a game!! So you’ll be looking at the cards and planning your next move when suddenly there is a full screen video of a golden retriever wolfing down a bowl of spaghetti!! ✓ Plays good. Do Not Trust Stats!!The play is good, but don’t trust the stats. They adjust your best time to be a little under what you just played. I took screen shots after missing “my best may by 3 points. I had remembered a different best play score that I should have beat. But when the came up I didn’t break my best score. I then played another game keeping the stats in my mind. I did far worse on purpose. My best score was much higher than my previous game. I took a screen grab and played another game. My best scores changed again. If you want to play for the sake of playing. Go for it. You will enjoy it. But what they are doing is a psychological trick on you designed to make you play more and resulting in them showing more ads. This is a gimmick. A quid pro quo shrouded in deception. They should be upfront about it. You’re getting the game for free. Just tell you what your stats are and allow you to play in a fair environment. 1 star for deceptive practices..Version: 9.4.1

✓ BuggyWhile this is a good app for lots of solitaire type games, it’s very buggy. In between each new game it automatically goes to an Ad that you have to wait to count down the seconds to X out of. And then lately, it just takes out of the app completely and to a random website. The ads were annoying enough. Now having to deal with spam ads and redirecting, it’s almost too much. ✓ Used to be a 5 StarUp until the last week or so this has been my “go-to” game for killing time. It has been great with just a few glitches that seemed to be corrected quickly. I understand the desire of the developer of a free game to get some income by having ads and they, up to now, have not been all that intrusive. However, in the last few weeks, there seems to be a bug that causes a second ad that pops up mid-game and switches the screen orientation. In a timed game, this tends to kill your game time and breaks your concentration. If they would fix this, I would gladly return my 5 star rating. ✓ Money, money, money!The app crashes or hangs if ads don't load or fail. You cannot report ads for inappropriate content or the app crashes. Many of the ads are up to 3 minutes long. Often the ads are in a foreign language (IE: Chinese) and you cannot escape them or the app crashes. Most ads force you interact with something which often open browsers to risky sites or the app store. You are penalized with an ad every time the app loads and with every new game. Developer needs to put a max 30-second to auto-kill timer on ads if they want to continue being a data broker..Version: 9.6.6

✓ Used to be a great app, now not so muchThis used to be a great app. Every time you'd finish a game in the past there was an ad that you could escape from in five to ten seconds and start into a new game. No big deal, it’s a free app so adds are kind of expected. Now however I have run into a few ads that you cannot escape from. I’ve waited as long as two minutes and still could not get out of the ad and back to a new game unless I force quit the app and restart it. Restarting does no good either as you will still run into an add you have to force quit to get away from within two or three games. Very disappointing..Version: 9.5.9

✓ Improving incrementallyIf you're looking for a simple offline solitaire game, this is ok. They have cleared up some of the bugs that plagued earlier versions but some of the ads can be intrusive or LOUD. Some of the ads seem like possible spam sources to your app store email (just saying--a specific new type started coming in after installing this). They have expanded the number of game types available and there are a fair number of options to customize look and feel. I like the stats where you can cross compare times and moves vs the highest scorer on each game. Social push for matches seems like a waste though - it's called "solitaire." Previous review: 1 star Subject: Weak If you're looking for a simple offline solitaire game, keep looking. Weak game mechanics (for examples, no autosolving once the deck is clear, bad "grab" and tap recognition), unstoppable ads before every game, movie ads don't respect app volume settings, app doesn't respect system volume settings, tries to drive you to social constantly, possible spam source to your app store email (just saying--a specific new type started coming in after installing this). Your supporters should be aware the "good guys" are losing potential revenue because of the "rogue" guys you're not vetting properly. May 2021 Update: They’re back! Even tho’ I received a nice response from the dev a year ago claiming ads were not “supposed” to play sounds, and within a few weeks added my update, below, here’s the latest update: Ads with sound, and ads without sound that still take over any other apps running. Noticeably increased battery usage, too. UPDATE: It took a few weeks, but you did it! My audio of choice hasn’t been commandeered in three days. Thank you! I’m okay with ads (I grew up when TV was free in exchange for ads), but I’m not okay with commandeering my device for commercials with sound! ✓ Still a problem with unwanted sound.It was fixed once. Now it's back. Greedy, childish developer will still blame me because if their refusal to honor settings that are set to no sound. Now they BLARE. I'd already complained about ads with intrusive sound even when I had sound turned off. It was fine for a while, then the latest update has a new twist: I can be 20 seconds into a new game and the sound from an ad I'd deleted/skipped over starts playing loudly in the background - even when the sound is off on the ap and on the phone. It's probably better that you simply don't play our app." When I brought to their attention that others have had the problem, they send me via email (which I 'm happy to share to anyone who cares) a two word response "Go away". ✓ Disappointed in ad behaviorWith the latest update, the ads take your Bluetooth audio from another device and play the sound through the device. Then it doesn’t return to what you were doing. For example, I frequently play solitaire on my iPad while listening to an audiobook on my iPhone. My headphones have been paired with both devices, but I’m using my iPhone for audio. When an ad with audio comes up, it takes my headphone audio away from my iPhone and plays the ad audio. But then it doesn’t switch me back to what I was previously doing. The introduction of sound and video means my radio station running in the background gets stopped each time an ad appears - highly frustrating. There have been a few updates that have made me consider deleting the app, with the latest fuelling this feedback and making me consider deleting the app more than ever before. I discovered one could fix this by turning off the “enhanced trash pile” setting, which was not obvious, at least to me.). The ads they are putting in are increasingly frustrating to deal with though - it seems like they randomize where the close button is (and sometimes fake it to get a click through?), have now introduced a significant delay before the ad close button shows up, and seem to be showing 2 ads at a time. This further increases the time between games to really annoying levels. ✓ I'll-behaved ads mar the experienceWhat is really annoying are the ads that change the iPhone (X, iOS 11.3.1) orientation from portrait to landscape, then on top of that don't have a way to close the ad. You have to re-orient the phone, swipe up to exit the app, then open the app again in order to clear the add and get back to playing. Sometimes you have to close the app twice. I don't mind having an ad after each game completion, but they shouldn't be allowed to change the phone orientation and there should always be a way to exit the ad without having to exit the app! I always play in portrait mode, ads should be well-behaved and not be allowed to change attributes such as the user's aspect ratio/orientation or other more intimate settings..Version: 8.6.2

The “best score” stats for time, points, etc just show as hyphens always, never recording personal best stats. ✓ The show you how to win updateI play mostly Klondike and choose winning deals. My typical practice is that I will skip until I see a deal that had a 3 minute or more best time and try to beat it and I rarely had to skip more than one or two deals. Since the “show me how to win” feature came online almost every deal has a best time below 2 minutes (with many very close to one minute). I have never used this feature but I suspect that now that it is active the “best times” for a deal are pretty much meaningless..Version: 8.4.1
