When I finally win, I gain amazing insight into the many nuances one must learn to win. I was about to give up on the last game but using the feature that showed me how it was one (several times), I finally saw the obvious reason I was losing that I continued to miss even after restarting the game dozens of times. These are great games for anyone wanting to get a reprieve from daily worries along with keeping their (in my case) 72 year-old mind sharp! Keep up the great work!!.Version: 8.4.1

✓ What happened?Up until a few weeks ago, I would have given this app 5 stars. I enjoy a lot of the games. I did not watching an ad between games. I figure that is how the program stays free. However, recently I will have the ad play, I will close it, and start playing the next game. Suddenly, the ad window pops back up, covering the game and rotating the board 90 degrees. I’m sure they want everyone to buy their paid version, but I’m cool with ads as long as they are not video or audio-based ads that disrupt the podcast or music I’m listening to on my iPhone while I’m playing solitaire. Game now has a very annoying “third party” ad that wants my apps list, email settings and more to give me a personalized experience, yeah right!!! ✓ Solitaire game or what?Been playing solitaire for years, have considered myself a good solitaire player. These people have a very strange scoring system - but that’s not important to me. I’d like to win more than 2 or 3 times in a row- never can! It’s like a setup to lose after 3 games. I’ve switched from so many games I decided to try to stick with this one for a good while. Not understanding the scoring & not winning has lowered my self-confidence in playing solitaire, which I’ve always enjoyed! I hate to think that they can manipulate a game, but I am sure of it! I’ve been playing it several months & I don’t see it as a coincidence —— that being said, I am knowing there are ways you can play by manipulating the cards so that you can win every game just as you can manipulate people to do what you want them to do - I just don’t like playing that way- it’s not enjoyable to me—.Version: 8.9.3

I have had this app since my very first iPod touch (at least 10 years), it is my favorite solitaire app that I've tried and one of my favorite apps in general. However, I'm only giving 3 stars because with the most recent update the video ads are awful. After every win there is a video ad that I can't stop or mute. If I wanted to watch ads I'd watch tv. One thing that drives me absolutely insane about it is the fact that ads now interrupt any music you are playing on your phone. Not only does Solebon's solitaire have many variations to play, but the animations after a game are a delight in themselves. My favorite is a wave of 3-4 rows of cards that rise toward the screen; they make me think of Chinese dragons in a parade -- and there's a "kid" of 4-5 cards that keeps bouncing in the background, as if was trying to see over the grownups. It's easy to understand and not over complicated like some of the other apps. But if you like variety there are several other game styles to choose from. It's an easy way to pass time in an airport, doctors office, anywhere. Also they show you 'how to win' - so if you want to learn a new game you can actually see it play out. (You can play in airline mode but won't be able to see the 'how to win'). They are responsive if you have a problem / question. It's my first go-to app for solitaire - no others compare BTW the free version has ads but very non intrusive and I've actually got some ideas of things I need! ✓ Random noise, cartoon like exclamationLove this game, but because I have the free version, you have to watch the ads, which I do. But during play, I have all the sound off in the settings and it randomly plays a cartoonish sound that plays like the phone is possessed. I guess they want me to delete and download the pay one. I could pay for this one, but scared I’ll still get this scary sound. The first time it played, was at night next to my sleeping husband and scared me, it’s very quiet and your phone exclaims “Eeewwwwe”,or “Ooohhhh”, suffice to say it’s creepy. It's Solebons own invention and they didn't think it through IMO. The games is 99% luck of how the cards are dealt. 1% skill. And so far after months at it, the exact right deal has not come up for me. This one game is boring and frustrating. ✓ An elegant game for refined playersThis is a brilliant implementation of some common solitaire games. I liked it so much I bought the full version in appreciation and for its larger selection of games. Using a tap to move cards is surprisingly easy and makes moving cards seem like less work (tap to select source card, tap on destination to move). Having the stock pile on right hand side works well for right handed thumb control (can be moved to left side in full version). Oodles of statistics. Can turn off the subtle display of timer, score, etc. No need for a preview when choosing a solitaire variation: just hop in and see the layout and rules—it won’t count in the stats. Negatives… umm… maybe add the best score (as opposed to win) for the incredibly hard Demon, and the discard pile is right next to the foundations so can occasionally be confusing..Version: 0

✓ Excellent except for the adsI love this app and have played, sadly, 40,000 games but the ads after every single game drive me crazy. You’d think that you’d give us a break after playing your game so many times. They’re irritating and go completely ignored. Some even crash the game. Some ads are so difficult to turn off because there’s no consistency in the size and location of the “X”. Some are located so far up in the corners and are so small that you have to poke at them two to five times to turn them off. If you have a phone case it’s sometimes nearly impossible. How about providing some consistency in the size and location of the “X”s or better yet give long time players a break on the ads completely. Haven’t we payed the price and seen enough ads after many thousands of games. Provide some incentive to players that after they reach a threshold they know the ads can be turned off. My bet is people stop playing because of the annoying ads. I know you need to make money and that’s fair but player loyalty should be rewarded not perpetually cursed..Version: 9.0.12

I was a bit unhappy with an update several months ago that added all kind of sounds and animations that I didn’t want (I like a silent, simple game), but I was able to simply turn off all the features I didn’t like, so now it’s back to the quiet game I love. ✓ Love this app, it's my daily standardI play Yukon, Russian Roulette, Pyramid and Penguin regularly. Pyramid is my favorite 'thinker' games. Yukon is the one I go to several times a day as the need for repetitive thinking and simple tactile movment calms me down and helps me transition at bedtime to sleep. I can change games at anytime and add ones to my favorites at will.
