✓ Challenging, but worth your timeI’ve just finished the first section of the game, so I can’t say anything about where the story is going just yet, or if it even has a coherent story. What is great is the puzzles, which are varied and interesting, if very short. Thankfully there’s a lot of them. The only things keeping this game from a 5 star rating are the simplicity of some of the puzzles, the very short nature of the puzzles (while some referenced others, none of them required many steps to solve, so as soon as you figured out the pattern, it was time to move on to the next one) and the lack of any instructions. Ordinarily, that last critique would be a more serious flaw, but since it adds something to the mystery of this game, I’m not going to count it too harshly. The game is a good way to spend some downtime and keep you busy for a while in an entertaining, family friendly way. Even if you don’t get a puzzle right away, it’ll keep your mind working while you’re doing other things and waiting for the eureka moment..Version: 1.7

✓ Indeed challengingSometimes, it’s too complex for casual attention to be paid, but that’s why it’s good. It’s frustrating, but in a good way. It’s all about a little extra thought. Then, it isn’t really hard, but clever and you will feel clever too. I’ve restarted my game (could not do so without un- and reinstalling?) because I put it away for a while and am liking it even more now that I can attack it again with a little experience under my belt. Visually artistic and very pleasing. I suggest not trying to understand the background story premise right away, but I believe it can be done if you read the companion app ‘Compendium’. ✓ Definitely one of my favorite puzzle gamesIf you like puzzles that give you very minimal information but all the tools are there to solve them, this is the perfect exemplification of that. I loved most of the puzzles; some I feel could have been better communicated or required more leaps in logic than necessary, in my opinion, but I never got frustrated. Pen and paper helps for some puzzles. The lore seems interesting, and paying attention to it probably helps with kind of getting the feel of certain puzzles. If stuck, try exploring for hints. None of the answers involve super complex encoding schemes (at least not yet - I’m only through chapter 1), but a lot of puzzles leave you wondering “Was there more information or clues that I needed in the parts I didn’t use to solve? Will I need to go back and scour old puzzles for those extra tidbits in a later metapuzzle? Or is it just for atmosphere?” I hope that question will be answered by the end!.Version: 1.7

Sometimes I’ve had to put this away when I couldn’t figure out what was needed, but coming back the next day the solution presented itself. You need to think about what you are seeing and find the sometimes obvious, other times subtle clues right in front of you. ✓ I have NOT been paid to write this reviewBradley 'I'VE FORGOTTEN WHERE THE CAPS LOCK IS' Baum is accusing the developer of buying reviews simply because he lacks the logic skills required to complete even the first puzzle, the solution to which is staring him in the face - the puzzle GIVES you the solution Brad, the answer is right there, on the screen in front of you - took me about 2 seconds - if that - to fathom it out. Without spoiling it, you have RED and BROWN buttons and RED and BROWN numbers, perhaps - just perhaps - they might be related somehow…? I'm not saying any more than that, because a 4-year-old could figure it out, it's that simple! What am I saying - no LOGIC skills required - like I've said, the solution is right there in front of you, Brad. One thing I WILL advise is to make good use of the game's camera facility, as you'll need the solutions to earlier puzzles (or clues contained within them) to enable you to solve later ones. This is an excellent game, reminded me very much of Cliff Johnson's The Fool's Errand which I played on a 512k Mac running System 2 (yep, I'm that old!) in 1987. Ignore those saying it doesn't make sense - it makes PERFECT sense, you just have to think laterally and logically. Oftentimes, as with the initial puzzle, the solution is literally staring you in the face, you just have to know where to look. The inbuilt decoder takes some getting used to, I'll admit but, once you understand it, many puzzles become a simple matter of inputting code and having it spit out the answer (although what you need to do with the answer to solve the riddle is not always immediately obvious). For those complaining there are no instructions - of course there aren't, why would/should there be…? Figuring out what to do - and how to do it - is all part of the fun. For an extra 79p, you can always purchase the Compendium (although that does require some amount of nous to understand, too), and there's always the inbuilt SOS service - limited to 1 hint every 24hrs; it won't give you the solution to the puzzle, but it will give you a gentle nudge in the right direction. Perhaps Mr. Shouty could avail himself of that (of course he'd have to find it first - could be too much effort). I bought this at 79p (there's a review from someone saying he was charged full price - something I don't think warranted a 1-star review, I was only charged 79p, it was probably a mis-setting of the initial price when he bought it) - is there enough content to warrant paying £1.49…? Maybe - definitely if the developer honours his promise of free updates. Remember: Sometimes the obvious solution IS the solution..Version: 1.0

✓ So far it’s fun!It’s a pretty fun game. As a someone with a computer science degree, some of these puzzles have a level of familiarity. Things like binary, coding (sudo-code rather), and logic gates all make an appearance. That being said, it’s still pretty challenging. It also has an eerie vibe to it, which keeps me on my toes while solving the puzzles. If you’re a problem solver, this is the game for you..Version: 1.5
