PNP 2017I have used this app for the last three years and I was expecting better things this year, I found this expensive as paid for the videos then had to pay again for the calls☹️. I have also had issues with loading videos several time I got a whoops error message and had to start it several times. The videos take a long time to load too. On two occasions the videos played with no sound. Some of the videos are the same as last years and paid money for two new ones!!! I feel new material needs to be added to make this worth while. Shame as have loved this until this year..Version: 4.0.48

2017 version VERY disappointingAfter 4 years of amazing videos for my kids - I can’t even upload a photo this year to any of your premium videos. My youngest child thankfully hasn’t questioned about not receiving his personalised messages yet as I would have to make up some excuse after purchasing premium content for the third year running - but this year I can’t even make one video work. Purchased in November and here we are a week into December and despite repeated updates - still come up with “Invengineers are having trouble uploading (4)” error message on the photo upload screen. Would like a refund this year please as time to enjoy the videos is rapidly running out. 😞.Version: 4.0.58

Used to be great! Greed got to them!This app used to be great. I’ve been using it for years for our children. We have paid some years for a premium video and the odd year used the free version. Shock, the first year were struggling to afford everything, one of the the first years I’ve not paid out of around 10 and I can no longer access the free video as it now says premium only. This used to be quite a magical experience and part of the experience of Christmas. Shame it’s all about the money now! The same video has been accessible for years from PNP and greed seems to have finally gotten to the developers! Such a shame. We would use the free video at the start of December and then pay for a video at Christmas Eve. Won’t be using this again from now on. We will go back to the good old notes and letters posted from Santa..Version: 10.0.13

Very fun but has annoying flawsThey need to change the video if you have more than one child because otherwise they catch on pretty quick that it’s fake. When they both get the same video with just different names it cause some question. My other complaint is that you should be able to change the features of each video without having to re-record each video. For instance, if I want to change my child’s behavior from good to naughty I should be able to do that quickly and easily without having to redo and wait for the whole video to reload. The waiting for the reload is not the issue, it’s the fact that now I have two videos for the same thing (ie..carousel, attitude, big book) yet I am unsure of which is the video for when they are being sweet, or the video for when they are being mean, or the video that has different pics etc. it’s just too complicated. My child went to listen to his “big book” and accidentally played the wrong one saying he was naughty when it should’ve been the good one. Ugh. The last issue is that the recorded reaction should be on a separate page bc they suddenly disappear without notice. Other than all that it’s a cool app..Version: 5.0.39

Disgusting vile companyPortable North Pole used to be such an amazing service which offered a genuine free video for, heck, as many children as you wanted to create them for. The company running the service how now become a disgusting, vile company who are after one thing: money. They try to scam you by offering a free video, which takes a few seconds to create by entering basic details and adding a photo of the child. Then, when you create A COMPLETELY BRAND NEW ACCOUNT, you are IMMEDIATELY told your free trial is over. I’m sorry, but how is that possible? I haven’t even had time to verify my email yet! Of course the app then suggests you PAY for the video that was FALSELY ADVERTISED as free, which, as a low-income family in the UK, we can’t afford to do (we had to use Salvation Army for toys and food this year). Really sad to see what was such a legendary service die at the hands of disgusting vermin conglomerate-owners drooling over your hard-earned money, vs. the kind people that ran the service a few years before..Version: 9.0.20

2020 the year if bugsEarly on having problems with the app. Some videos play flipped the wrong way and is impossible to change. Biggest problem is when you do an interactive video and Santa calls you. The phone rings and Santa talks but the video doesn't recognise and shows Santa hanging cause you didn't answer so frustrating to explain that to the kids. Few other appearance problems as well so it's tough to use right now.Version: 7.0.21

Festive moodThe all thing is great except the cost factor. I used to had them over ten years ago through the website and I had it for free for Christmas. And now on the App Store that I have to pay for one year membership fee. The cost is reasonable, however, if you cut the cost down to half for only for the Christmas, then maybe I would pay it for that..Version: 7.0.46

Kids Corner DisappointingI’ve used the PNP app for the last 3 years and I’m really enjoying the new videos this year! However, the videos that I’ve created this year are not showing up in the Kids Corner, so I can’t hand my kids the phone anymore to let them watch their video from Santa...I have to pull it up for them. Also, the Kids Corner doesn’t have some of the games my kids enjoyed last year, like the Tree Shaker game. Not why I use the app, but it was a fun little feature. Just seems like the Kids Corner got neglected this year. Also, adding an option of creating the video for multiple kids, like siblings, would be great. I’ve done a couple of videos for each of my kids, but would be great if the same video could just mention multiple kids..Version: 4.1.1

Terrible app keeps crashing, can’t even sign in!I’ve waited to write this review just in case the issues with the app resolve themselves. I am a premium customer who has been a member for several years. The videos are amazing and my youngest loves them. However the app is becoming more and more unstable to the point it crashes when you try to sign in now. I thought it could have been my older iPhone so I waited until I got the 14 to try again. Nope still crashes on login. It’s a brilliant app with some nice features for Xmas that youngsters love however this year the unstable app will force me to cancel my subscription unless fixed before my renewal date..Version: 9.0.6

Password reset does not workI used this for years and loved it. This was my last. My password won’t work and my many attempts at resetting it won’t work either. It doesn’t go to the email like it says it does. I even paid for premium which I can’t use and have a little girl asking to see her video. No way to get help for this in the help center. Needs new material.Hi. My children has enjoyed this app. For 3 or 4 years now. They have enjoyed the heck out of it. Every year I am disappointed that only a few add ins are added each year. That does not address the fact that the kids start remembering that ‘hey. They did the same last year’. How on earth is it to be real if it’s always the same. Deja vu. They have had the same bedtime stories every year. Same advent videos, same same same. This alone will put doubts in their heads. First year is awesome. Then kids will ask for it again and everyone thinks….. if we are paying for it every year it must be different RIGHT? Nope. Same. Then third year I said that to myself again… ‘ who in their right mind would not change the stories and videos when asking for money every year and kids who are delicately affected when it comes to this topic - are realizing it’s just repeats. It’s not live messages for them’. It should be only a one time fee to keep for years if it stays mostly the same which it has in 4 years. Why are we paying year after year…. Because we believe that anyone dealing with this emotionally sensitive topic- should care how it affects the kids. Happy to take my money, but haven’t given me access to anything!I’ve used this app for years and my subscription automatically renews. Last year, it renewed but I wasn’t given access to anything. Thought it was odd but completed the help form & was eventually given access. 2021- the same has happened, money taken- no access to features. Completed the ‘help’ form again, but this time I was fobbed off by a not so helpful ‘Elf’ and told that I needed to contact Apple to get the issue fixed! Contacted Apple and they completed troubleshooting, only to return to the obvious conclusion that it was the fault of PNP. I have sent several messages to PNP and they haven’t replied. I’m absolutely furious! Something that is supposed to be a lovely app/experience for Christmas has just into a complete nightmare. Great but please give different endings on videosWe use this app every year and my kids love it. The problem is it’s very obvious that the “nice” endings are the same on all videos made that year. I make different videos for each of my children, but if they have all been “nice” the endings are identical and they can’t watch each other’s videos without recognising this. I am happy to pay for premium, and would appreciate even slight changes in the endings . Maybe a “nice” version 1 and 2 could be added?. Or if that’s not possible, maybe add the option to have multiple kids in one video. I would really love this review to be taken seriously as many people have more than one child! DisappointedLoved this app for the first couple of years since there were lots of videos to choose from. Now it’s becoming redundant and much less interesting. After buying the yearly pass for a few years, seeing how they were continuously updating the videos, I decided the lifetime pass would be a less expensive option. Now I can’t use the app on my current devices because they are not the most current OS and can’t be updated as such. Why can’t the app be used on a computer and only works on iPad or iPhone? Always glitches with the new year’s version which usually gets sorted out with the ‘elves help’ but this year they have surpassed my capabilities which is frustrating and disappointing considering they now have my money and I can’t do anything with the app if I don’t buy upgraded devices..Version: 10.0.11

Free trial? WHAT free trial?I downloaded this app to make a video (as a joke) for my dad. first it was super glitchy and wouldn’t let me accept terms and privacy policy so I decided, maybe if I sign in/sign up it won’t glitch? so I did that but I didn’t see the button to create a free video. I logged out and deleted my account since I didn’t do anything on it. the button for creating a free video popped up and it wasn’t glitchy. however when I finished filling out my dad’s info and clicked create video, it wanted me to sign up so I did that (again). then, a pop-up appeared and said “your free trial is over”. I never made a video though, so I never used a free trial! I went to the website to get help from the chat bot but that was useless, so finally I gave up. this app is NOT easy to use, ALL the videos are premium, and the chat bot is COMPLETELY unhelpful..Version: 9.0.20

More bugs, pricier and more confusing optionsJust tried to create a Big Book video and after filling out everything and adding photos and hitting Create Video, the spinning indicator whirls for a few seconds and then returns to the same screen without error and also without any video. Tried this several times, also removed and reinstalled the app. I used to love this App and it was always reliable but sadly the bugs that are in it now linked with the increased price and over commercialisation of it means this will be my last year. I’m not interested in corporate videos and don’t think this should be in this App - make another one for corporate targeting. It’s trying to be a one size fits all solution which never really works with anything. Once I’ve paid for a Magic Pass please get rid of all the ads for Magic Pass - I’ve paid for it and don’t need constant reminders to buy something I’ve already bought. I’ve used it for a call this year which went really well. But the first time I try and create a video it’s just doesn’t work and leaves me wondering why I’ve bothered paying for this. iPhone X , 256GB, running iOS 15.2 with 80GB of storage free and no other apps running while trying to create a video 😕.Version: 8.0.19

Fantastic app but needs improvementsI have been using this app for many years now and have always been so impressed with the quality of the videos and all the features this app provides. I feel that the Interactive Videos could be better as there is too long of a pause after the kids select the options and it ruins the flow of the video a little. Also, the Christmas just gone was the first year of Mrs Claus…don’t get me started! Her voice is so fake that even my 5year old burst out laughing at the sound of it and even to this day comes out with random sentences that she says in the video with his silly voice. In my opinion and probably numerous others out there, I would not bring back Mrs Claus. It was a big fail with her horrible voice that I will not be resubscribing this year if she is in the new videos. It’s embarrassing to even listen and watch her. I have 3 kids and like many others that have stated in their reviews, there needs to be more new variety’s so the kids don’t get the same video with just the names changed…kids ask questions and are very clever to figure things out!.Version: 8.0.20

Not callingSuper disappointing, I first used this in 2020 and it was great. We made a video with a call during the video in either 2020 or 2021, the phone rang, we answered and the girls talked with Santa. This year and also last year it hasn’t worked, I even tried adding my number in different ways, calls and video calls but no success. The third time I tried it he called, the phone didn’t ring and then the audio went silent through what was the call from Santa. Fortunately I said “Santa we can’t hear you!” and with perfect timing he hung up the phone and the audio came back, I also feel that it has somewhat been overloaded with additional calls, videos etc Super sad about this but I did enjoy the one video with phone call that did work out..Version: 10.0.13

Kids so disappointed with the Christmas Eve videoWe have purchased PNP videos for the last number of years for our children. We have always been very pleased with our videos and the kids loved them This year we purchased two Christmas Eve videos from PNP. I was so underwhelmed and disappointed with videos but as I had paid $7.99 for each of the videos ,I still showed them to the kids. They were so disappointed !!! Very little personalisation or detail and just a very generic video that didn’t feel personal to them. They had waited all day to receive their video from Santa and expected so much more. Great if you want to send a video to multiple childrenThe videos are really cute and amazed the kids how Santa can have so much info about them. I rate it only 3* though because I think it’s a pity that the videos are a bit redundant and can’t be built on each other. I would have loved to send several videos to my son and keep the magic alive through the holiday season. I didn’t want to tell him early December that he made it to the “nice list” because there were some things I wanted him to “work on “. However none of the videos allowed me to follow up on the progress. I wish I could send a second/third video saying that he made progress to encourage him. It’s a great deal if you want to send Santa videos for several kids but you can really use only one or 2 videos per child because behind the different story line Santa’s talk is really the same..Version: 4.0.48

What happened?We’ve LOVED this app for many years. My girls always looked forward to their videos and even adult family and friends loved them. We’ve always been happy to pay but this year on dec 1st videos aren’t working. You can no longer jump on and select their behaviour for the day.. really disappointed as I have a 3yr old who would be beside himself with all the features we used to have. Update 2020. It’s really gone downhillI’ve used this app for years. My kids really loved it. But this year… The pricing isn’t clear, I’ve bought two of the membership levels and still can’t get the videos i want. I’m glad that they are mixing up the videos but there’s really nothing to make for my kids. Last year, there were multiple videos on the naughty nice list. Now… there’s like two “video conference calls”… these only work once. Also, you can’t share the videos like you used to be able to. This is my last year with this App. It’s gotten worse this year. I bought a membership and the app won’t even let me log in. I’ve reset my password and it won’t “reset it”. It just keeps going to the log in screen where it won’t let me change the password. DisappointedI have a new phone this year which is an iPhone . I got an email giving me offer for a full pass. I went with the offer again this year . First video - the sound was SO low my daughter couldn’t watch it properly as she couldn’t hear it . I reported this and it was fixed by the next video . On the ‘Kids’ section of the app there’s a talking elf and Christmas tree shaker game. Both of these say “coming soon .” It’s Christmas Eve next week ! It used to be fun and easyWe started using this app several years ago. Maybe 7 or 8 years now and we used to love it. It was fun and easy to use for even the most technologically challenged person. Now there are too many options and the prices have gone way up. It was a dollar or two when we first used it… actually, our first year may have been free but now in order to get the “big book” or “nice or naughty” videos, you have to have the magic pass and it says “for one person”. That magic pass is $20 and I have two kids. To be fair, the Santa and Elves are very realistic and lovely. But the videos haven’t changed much in the last several years while the price has jumped massively. And we have to choose two different videos otherwise the kids catch that their videos are exactly the same other than their names. We couldn’t justify the price this year and it’s the first time we haven’t used it since discovering it. We switched to a different app. It isn’t as detailed but the price is better and it’s less complicated. We’ll miss this app but there are other options..Version: 9.0.20

So many issues this yearWe’ve been using this app since 2018. It’s been a lot of fun but this year has been full of issues and glitches. When we open the app it’s a blank white screen, I cannot edit my original recipients info without the app closing on me. I’ve emailed support, the only feedback I received was to follow a link which does not work either. So frustrating (2021). Follow up - uploaded app & went to see what they offer the kids. Almost everything on the page can only be accessed if you have a “magic pass” even a less than 1 min phone call is $6 which is nuts!!! Magic pass doesn’t work right before Christmas!This started great and then suddenly the magic pass stopped working. Despite resubscribing several times the magic pass doesn’t work so now my daughter can’t watch any of the premium content - right before Christmas too. Despite messaging the app developers I’ve heard nothing. It’s kind of ruined the spirit of Christmas for her as now all the things she loved every day are no longer available. Was great, now only up sells. Nothing works.I have used this app for at least 5 years and it was always great. This year it has decided that the subscription I have had for years (the top yearly amount until now) isn’t enough to do anything. Instead it tries to upsell to the Magic Pass (which I already had). Purchasing this Magic Pass, does nothing. Just takes you back to the home stream with no new access. I have upgraded, Cancelled, Re-subscribed several times in the last few days. Now the App is “added for Maintenance” on December 24th! Save your money. This was an awesome app but not anymore. Totally useless. Bugs and glitches. Payed for nothingI downloaded this app for the first time this year. I paid for the premium subscription for the year. I made 1 video and closed for the day. When I went to make another video. The app loaded up. However, tried to charge me again. When I clicked on “subscribe” again. It stated that I had already paid and was subscribed. However, the app wouldn’t let me create videos. Still stating that I need to subscribe. I followed this up with the tech support team. They emailed me once, stating “we will follow this up asap”. Images on videos show as a broken linkI was premium in a previous year but not this year, but since there is no way to contact support unless you are premium I still filled out the email support help. The issue is that images won’t show in videos and instead the text “Linked image not found” appears. I tried all the usual methods and more so I consider mentioning to support due to being important enough. The answer was that the channel is only used for premium users….Version: 10.0.11

Great app,but not perfectThere needs to be an option to have siblings on the same video. Santa to address the whole family at one time. Similar format to the big book or elf door, but to have both children featured at once. I am finding this version a bit buggy and have gotten frustrated at times when uploading pictures. Not working this year - want a refundThis app has been fantastic the last two years I've used it but this year it's terrible. Once again, I've purchased the premium content and like others, I cannot update my information or upload photos without it freezing. I have the most recent update to iOS but it's still not working. What a disappointmentI’ve used this PNP every year since 2011 and have paid the upgrade every year. I was shocked by the huge increase this year but paid anyway as there was a lot of promise held. However it’s been so disappointing - photos not uploading, taking so long to down load and simply trying to open the app has been difficult- not quite the spontaneous ‘oh look Santa’s left a message’ you’d expect. While the videos are amazing when they work, I’ve hardly used any of the new aspects I’m paying for. The ‘reaction’ cam didn’t actually capture my daughters face. Just the top of her head and I’ve not tried any games. My kids were also confused/disappointed with the nice/naughty verdict as it’s not very clear. I’m so disheartened by the PNP this year. I’ll not be using it next year with the hefty price I’ve paid this year..Version: 4.1.1

App is a joke, time to change developers?Such a great idea, sooo nice videos but .... Come on .... Do you think about your business seriously? It is less then month till Christmas and your app is an absolute joke. Select a video, tap on pronunciation speaker icon - nothing happens, choose photo from library - photos sorted from most older ones, not recent?? Select a photo and enjoy “oppsies ... “ error. Select where child lives and instead of countries list you will see numbers ....... really ???? Do you have have any QA team? Does anyone test the app before release? Nothing works there guys. Major issuesThe video phone calls don’t work properly. On the screen it says the call isn’t connecting however the call has been made to the phone and the child gets confused. You also cannot pause the videos and they seem to keep playing for a long time after they are supposed to have finished. They are not synced properly. If they fixed these things it could be amazing, but it’s not great as it stands now..Version: 7.0.34

Dissatisfied after six yearsI’ve used PNP to get Santa’s messages for my kids for six years. But this year, they have really dropped the ball. - The app logged out of my account, exposing grown up features to the kids. My son launched the app to see if Santa sent new messages, but was greeted with the login page. Unfortunately, the login page shows previews of videos to other kids that Santa hasn’t sent him yet. This completely ruined the magic, because he now knows that the videos aren’t just for him. - New videos don’t show up right away, and are frequently just a blank screen when they do. When a parent chooses to add the video to the kids’ corner, it doesn’t show up on their device for quite a while. When it does finally show up, it is usually a blank screen and the app needs to be killed to show the videos. - Classic videos no longer have Santa’s verdict (whether child has made the nice list). Also, by reducing the number of videos that contain his verdict, you can no longer choose different videos for different kids. This was an awesome app experience for my kids, but no longer. Next year, I’ll be telling my kids that the elves are too busy making toys to send their videos..Version: 8.0.15

Complete DisappointmentI have literally been using this service for 10 years !!! 10 years since my first daughter was 5 and is obviously now 15 but I also have a 9 year old who still waits for her video every year. The service has become a complete pain to navigate and you end up paying way more than you intended just to get the stupid video made! Glitchy this year!I’ve always loved pnp and have used it for last 7 years. This year has been very glitchy. Constantly the app ends up in the parents section when the kids have been using it and have put it down for a few min. Quite a bit of explaining to do there! I turned off my subscription.. it charged me again. (The dates of when subscription was due and the payment are weeks apart). Figured oh well, it’s usually worth the money. The amount of times I’ve had to restart making a video as it’s frozen and I haven’t been able to see the options or scroll down. I’m kinda scared to let my kids see a video since their faith in Santa could be ruined if it glitches too badly. MagicalThe PNP App is wonderful for kids to get them excited for Santa coming, it’s very professionally done and so believable. The only negative is once you have paid for your video it can only be watched for a short period of time then you have to pay £11 odds to upgrade to see the video again that you have already paid for!! 2023 PNP worst in 10 yearsI’ve been using PNP for a decade now. This year I have experienced more technical issues than ever before. The calls did not work across multiple videos, despite a lot of troubleshooting. Some videos would glitch and start from the beginning half way through. Many of the videos can’t be shared anymore. Great but offers lessThis is a great idea and app for little ones. However every year less and less gets offered. I understand this is a money making thing but it is disappointing how every year something gets cut from the free version and less I'd given for the premium. Missed OpportunityThe visuals are beautiful, as in prior years. Developers do an effective job of engaging the child with personalization of name, DOB and the child's typical day. However, the narrative should have been written by a child development specialist....who could have helped the video to focus more on the wonder of the North-Pole-home of Santa, talk about the unique value of each child and that Christmas is a special time for us to share time and treasures with those we love. Narrative could encourage children to be persistent when solving problems with materials. Narrative could encourage children to solve problems with other children collaboratively, sharing feelings and together coming up with ideas for resolution. An early childhood specialist would omit the non-descriptive, subjective language of 'naughty' and 'nice' and remove the connection of behavior to gifts, because this leads children to believe that bribery is an acceptable adult-child interaction strategy. DisappointedI’m disappointed with this years update of the app. I’ve been using this app for the past three years to send Santa videos to my nephews who live out of state. This year they added a phone call component and now you can no longer send videos because of the phone call. It would be helpful to make the phone call an option so that the video can still be downloaded and sent. DISAPPOINTMENTI have used this app every year, and each year it brings joy. However, this year, it brought disappointment to our Christmas Eve. Purchased one of the phone calls for $3.99 and everything went through fine, however, then the app forced closed and wouldn’t open for nothing. I uninstalled, reinstalled, plus force restarted my phone and it still would not open. The app repeatedly would try to open, show a quick white flash, and then close. I love the website, but the app?I absolutely love PNP! I’ve been putting these videos together for my Sisters kiddos for about 8 years now and I love every second of it. The reason I only gave this a 3 Star is because the app keeps closing on me while in the middle of creating a video and I lose where I’m at and have to start all over 🤬 if it auto saved I wouldn’t be so frustrated! Otherwise I love this whole concept and helps to keep the magic alive! I wanted to add... have the app start on the kids corner in case your like my sister who hands her phones to her kids not thinking about it. Used to be great…now not so greatAfter many years as a premium subscriber this year is the last. This app used to be super, actually incredible with all videos and calls working perfectly and creating a great experience for the kids. Reaction Recorder doesn't workThe only reason I downloaded the app, rather than using the website, was for the reaction recorder feature. My son is almost three and really understands the concept of Santa etc for the first time, and when I showed him his video message and Santa said his name his face was an absolute picture. I was hoping to capture it forever but it didn't work - I tried again a few days later (though his reaction obviously wasn't quite the same this time) and it failed again. After filming it says "sending to North Pole" for a while then just shows a snowflake for approx half an hour. You of course have to shut down the app eventually; when you reopen there's no reaction video there anywhere. So disappointing..Version: 4.1.1

Very sad not to use this year - major stability issuesI have purchased this for the past few years, so really disappointed not to be able to use it this year. The app crashes on load ever since I purchased the premium pack. Dev team shows no interest in trying to solve it, they haven’t even asked for logs. So upset in 2023We have been using this app since 2016. This year it’s nothing but trouble. My renewal went through on December 12, but even before that while I still had a valid annual subscription, I wasn’t able to access any of the premium videos. After December 12 I was hopeful everything would work as expected. But nothing worked except for the two free videos, one for adults and one for children. I restored my purchases. I logged out and logged back in. I logged out and logged back in using different methods. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app. I tried conversing with the chat bot. I’ve sent three emails. I requested to cancel the subscription and then re-purchased it. I logged in a different way and tried to re-purchase it. Nothing is working. I am now $80 in and nothing has worked. No one will respond to me through the email address the chatbot pointed me to. We are days before Christmas and my children are very sad because Santa hasn’t reached out to them this year as he has done every year for the last 7 years. And, moms and dads know what I’m talking about, when your children are sad and you can’t fix it, it really stinks. To be clear, we have a really enjoyed this service in the past and I have paid for it for many, many years. The videos are expertly done. The final product is extraordinarily enjoyable. Rip off!!This is a total rip off. I used this app last year and LOVED it. I ended up paying the 9.99 to unlock all videos and calls. Imagine my surprise when I find out that if I want to use this app this year I would have to pay another 9.99! At least last year there was the option of a few free calls and videos. Probably tried fifty times to make the first of the six videos I planned to make and it wouldn’t work. The field where I was to add a picture wouldn’t display correctly so I couldn’t add pictures. Each time I tried it was a different field that wouldn’t work. Sometimes all three would work but the final “create video” button wouldn’t work. So mobile app wasn’t working so I tried the website but even though it let me waste my time creating the video it then told me that that video was only available on the mobile app! This is Christmas Eve and I’ve spent an hour hiding in my room trying to do it so in desperation I made one group video instead of the traditional six individual videos. And the one group video only allowed four kids and I had six. Plus now I need a picture of all of them together rather than the individual pictures I’ve come prepared with! So I get the one video done but it doesn’t let me share it to my kids email addresses like I use to. So I needed to figure out how we will get the message to my kids and how we will watch it on something larger than my phone. So I go to the laptop and try to put the kids corner on the laptop but kids corner is only available on the mobile! So I had to bring the website up on the laptop which is not like receiving a message from Santa but rather it’s mom obviously bringing it up on a website. And and when it’s over it’s back to the website right in front of the kids. But to top it all off in the middle of the video our city name says CITY NOT LISTED. It actually said city not listed in the video! Oh and a tiny thing but if you’re fixing stuff anyway… it’s confusing that all the ads telling me to buy magic pass are still displaying after I buy the magic pass. I realize you try to improve it each year but it went backwards this year. I won’t purchase it next year. I started including my niece and nephew last year which is good for your business as my kids get older. But this year’s experience was terrible. It’s not expensive but this year it was just throwing money away. In other years my only suggestion was that I would like to be able to schedule when the sharing email would send. So I could prepare the video in advance but they wouldn’t receive the email invitation to view it until Christmas Eve. Thanks for your product in past years. Frustrating in 2017Like others, I’ve found this year’s app to be very frustrating. It crashes quite a lot and I can’t even get it to process (without errors) one of my three kids’ videos!? She’s only a baby and wouldn’t know anyways, but I can’t show the older two theirs if there isn’t one for their little sister! Also when I first made the video this year, I could select who the child was ‘surrounded by’ and those names were on books next to his/hers. But that seems to have vanished and it’s now just a shot of an elf in front of the wall of big books, pretty sure that shot was from last year or the year before. I am using the free video. Offers allot but UI of application needs some workI like all that it offers but you loose track of videos that U created and already showed kids. Some are supposed to be live calls so if u play something U already showed and the child remembers, it will seem fake. Why not put check marks on created items that had a recorded reaction to or have option to place in folder. Child reactions are just listed with created items as well, not even labeled with their title. Lacking in customization organization. I spend more time trying to remember what I have already showed kids. The stories from Mrs Santa are just voice with no pictures/video and the ones from Santa are very limited with pictures in book. Kids like to see pages with animations or pictures. If they spend some time on better user UI it would be even better. Reached out to customer support but have gotten no response. Love the videos but glitchy as hellThe videos are brilliant there’s no doubt. However, I find the app excruciatingly glitchy. Loading will sit on 0% for ages and requires a lot of restarting to get anywhere. Even when loading videos that have been made previously. Such a shame as it reduces the joy of making the videos to have to spend so long trying to access them. I expected better from an app that I have paid an annual fee for, I do not think it is worth the price based on this. FYI, I have tried in 2 different devices on wifi and on mobile data. Rrrrreeally disappointingWe’ve been doing this for years and always pay for premium. Did the same this year and nothing works. I can’t upload photos and many of the multiple choice drop downs don’t work. I haven’t been able to make any videos. It’s all a bit of a first world problem but this has become a traditional part of my sons xmas he is six now and he is excited to hear from Santa. He is starting to wonder if he’s forgotten him. The help option isn’t available, and if I try the “contact us” option it says “not connected”. At the very least the option to buy premium should be removed until this is resolved, because now you’ve effectively stolen a tenner off me knowing full well (it would appear, having now read recent reviews) that you weren’t even selling me what I had last year. Highly DisappointedWe used PNP when our kids were young and it was brilliant. We paid for the magic pass for our grand kids and it was nothing like our previous experience. I made one video and it was okay , but the photos were so poor quality, not even the 2 or 4 year olds actually found it believable. I tried to make other videos and they failed and did not work. Cute but needs more optionsI have been using PNP since it was just phone calls only through a website only. It’s gotten to where it is the same assortment of videos and calls. I do not like that the interactive video calls can’t be sent and they they have to watch from my phone. I can pretty much only schedule the same phone calls or send one of the 3 videos that apply for my use. Probably the last year I use the app bc it is frustrating to go through all of the creation processes only to have it play on the device I’m using. Saddened 2017I LOVE this normally. I am so impressed by the amazing quality and effort they put into the videos. I’ve used it for 4 years and have been happy to pay for it, but this year there have been SO many technical difficulties from up loading photos to icons that do nothing, ( ‘coming soon’, then wiped off the app and ‘toys and gifts’ that has only a white screen). Already disappointed with 2018I only purchased the premium pack this year, after last year’s poor application, because my children were asking when they would get their first message from Santa. My daughter’s name has never been an option, I have submitted it for recording, but I am unable to select her exact nickname, which is in your database, I can only select the preselected nicknames, unless I use her nickname. She wants to see her actual name, even if she only hears her nickname. Can you please look at being able to search and select your own name pronunciation from your database..Version: 5.0.9

Previously better/disappointingly buggy and now time consumingTakes 2-3hrs to setup as a parent. You have to repeat-enter information it should remember previously from the child profiles or previously entered - and when you edit the child profiles it temporarily duplicates them…you delete the duplicate….and they both go. Very frustrating. When rendering the videos (local on-device) it easily overloads the device when doing multiple to slow the UI to a crawl. Needs to self-limit and queue. The toggle to show the videos in kids corner is below the videos - and it isn’t obvious it exists nor that you can scroll down. I’ve just tried to play some from there, and only got a white-screen until I minimised the app and returned to it. Also - there’s some form of bug which makes the full listing of the videos in KC intermittent - sometimes there’s four, sometimes a dozen. Just a poor show app-development-wise. Did they test at all over the years? I would get my money back - but I’ve promised the kids this - just hope it works when they see it…..otherwise PNP will blow the magic of Christmas rather than reinforce it. Also - minor - but used to have a photo-overlay game - kids loved it - hasn’t been around for a few years. BirthdaysThis is the first year I have used the app for my kids who both have a birthday in December. I went to create birthday videos for them but Santa kept getting their age wrong, double checked and I put the correct birthday in it but he keeps adding an extra year ( my 5yo turned 6 and Santa said 7) she noticed.
