✓ Almost what I'm looking for!When I first discovered the iTrack Pocket (the compatible hardware for this app), I thought I had finally found the inexpensive solution to my multi-tracking/video problem. I want to record multi-track audio and video simultaneously to my device. This does allow you to record two tracks of audio via any supported hardware (I used a duo-capture), but you can not edit the tracks separately after the fact. If you plug two channels into your device, you get a stereo recording. You can apply high quality reverb and compression to both tracks of the video, but not as separate entities (with panning options etc). Also, I could not figure out how to add amp simulation to my tracks as noted in the iTrack Pocket description, maybe it's part of the hardware? Just to note, I'm using iOs 8.3 with an iPhone 6..Version: 1.1
✓ Fatal flaw(edited)First review, current edited review at end: I was in love with this little recording device, so simple to use and worked beautifully for a while but the app has not been updated in so so long I cannot get behind something that hasn’t even had KNOWN issues sorted out. I mean it’s your business and you know it’s a problem well why not roll out a patch and sort everyone’s issues? Saving and rotation. As for your recommendation:”use another app” well you might as well have said “we don’t want your business” because that’s exactly what I hear when I see that. Part of using apple iPhone is keeping it updated, you should have that built into your update schedule surely? Keep your customers happy because once confidence goes loyalty does too. I don’t want to come across as a snotty customer here I’m simply worried that because of something so simple as an update your customers are gonna vanish and the device will fade from Memory and then that’s one product consigned to the dustbin of history, whereas I feel this COULD be considered a classic product of history “remember that awesome thing that was so simple to use and did it all so well?” Come on guys make it happen!!! Edit - they have now fixed these issues and I have left my original comment up to show what brilliant customer service this company has. They not only produce fine products but they make the effort to help you out. First class. I’ve changed this from a one star review to a 5 star to reflect this. ✓ **Please make volume button a record buttonThis is the only app I could find that successfully has reverb you can mix into your video for vocals and is super easy. I have a request. **** Please set the record button to the volume button like the iphone camera has for a shortcut. I have a bluetooth camera switch and it doesn't work because you disabled the button to only do volume adjusting. It'll make recording video so much easier because I won't have to touch the phone that's on the tripod which can change the shot angle..Version: 1.1
✓ Great hardware as usual... app just doesn’t work!I bought the itrack pocket as I’ve owned a number of focusrite (and novation too) hardware over the years and they’re solid and in my opinion for the price you can’t get better quality interfaces. Now, I still even have a focusrite 6 and a 24 and they still work faultlessly - their drivers and software are very well supported even to latest os releases, especially for 10 year old soundcards.... BUT!!!... The Impact app just doesn’t work with IOS 11! You can’t rotate the screen... and looking at the version, it hasn’t been updated in 3 years!!! Come on focusrite/novation, don’t let this software be abandonware, you’re better than that!! It can’t take much to fix it surely. The app looks perfect for YouTube clips... but at present is totally unusable. Please sort it! Edit: App has now been fixed as of 24th Nov!! Yes! Thanks..Version: 1.2

✓ Almost perfectImpact does everything you might expect it to do. Good recordings. Solid interface support. Best audio fx for a video app. I wish the videos were stored locally instead of inside the app. I would currently gladly pay a $20 iap for the ability to apply AU effects to the audio of a captured video. The built in effects you can add are probably still the best out there but the ability to choose your own AU effects would slay every video capture app on the market..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Needs UpdatingI LOVE this app but since just over a year ago when I started using it, it has started to crash and often won’t ‘normalise’ the recording, and even more often, will just freeze when exporting a video to my camera roll. It is clearly needing an update which I implore the developer to do! Otherwise, I really loved this app and what it does for recordings..Version: 1.2.1

Very impressed.The previous version really didn’t agree with my phone so I would always use the iOS camera app to record and use Impact only for monitoring the input level of my iTrack Pocket. Tried the new update yesterday and it was a real pleasure to use. Well done Focusrite for sorting it out. Considering you can currently buy an iTrack pocket new for under £20 GBP ($25 USD), value for money has just gone through the roof..Version: 1.2
✓ My go-to video appWhile there's a million video apps in the App Store, almost all of them are variations on the same thing. Impact is different. While it's supposed to be paired with Focusrite hardware, it isn't necessary. Personally, I take a line out of a mixing board and, through an interface, video record the performance. Board recordings are notoriously dry but impact allows me to add room ambiance (and some compression if needed). The result is the clarity of a board recording but with the ambience of a live room without the hassle of an external mic. Also, a nice feature is that when cropping, I can do so by the audio waveform. This makes things quicker for me. No other app does these basic things. I feel like they're sitting on a goldmine of a unique video app that has the sound come first, whereas most video apps, it's just an afterthought. The downside is that Impact only records in 720. Not a deal breaker, but higher resolutions would be very welcome. I use this app weekly and so far been very stable..Version: 1.1

✓ Please update!Please update this app. There is nothing like it on the App Store and it’s so useful. Saves so much time not having to record audio and video separately and match together. The reverb is so good too. Unfortunately the app can be a little glitchy and prone to interference from the device. If you put the iphone or iPad into flight mode this seems to cure it. May I also suggest the ability to import videos from the device’s camera roll to add post effects would be a great addition. Here’s hoping!! 🙏🏻.Version: 1.2.1

✓ Shame - but now fixed!Loved this device and app, but last time I used it to record an important occasion I had no idea that it would no longer work after iphone update - most annoyingly it actually looked like it was recording so I used it but now it won’t allow saving the video, just crashes - I have no way of accessing the raw video files so cannot use them. ✓ Problem fixed!It was not working for my iphone 7 plus, I went to the website and still could not figure out how to get support. I had to delete the app and re-install it and thankfully it works, now I can get back to downloading my music videos 🤗.Version: 1.2.1

✓ Great Focused AppThis app does a great job recording singer-songwriter-type videos. Even without the companion device, the enhancements and interface work well. I ran sound using the camera connector, a powered USB hub, and a Zoom H4n, and the f/x in this app really livened up the sound. I'm thinking I'll be buying a Focusrite Itrack Pocket for an on the go solution, but this simple app really filled a need. Thanks!.Version: 1.1

✓ A great app but -This is probably the best free app available for making music videos, end of! A note to Focusrite: Please enable Audiobus and also make it possible to import videos. The FX are excellent in the app but I want to apply these to my other videos and audio and can't! 5 stars when that's done 👍.Version: 1.1
