✓ It WAS a great game.I used to play this all the time and got to a decent level and I recently started playing again and twice I’ve had to restart completely because I’d by the next tier gun and have no money left. ✓ Ruined by ads and constant upgrade beggingCould have been good. Game started off promising with an occasional ad and although it was too easy it showed promise with each new level. The next day however I had to spend as much time watching the same two ads over and over as I did playing the game. Then the same gun which killed instantly by shooting someone in the arm (!?) now took 2 headshots on the same sort of unsheilded human target. Constant “offers” of pretty guns for the cost of two PS4 games then presented to me which u are forced to buy or at least visit the store rather than just dismiss. These are then dramatically reduced occasionally to give the appearance of a more reasonable price. Which they still are not. All wasting time when u should be playing. ✓ FREE but you won’t be able to continue unless you payYou start and the first levels are easy enough. Then more and more gameplay is unlocked, which requires additional equipment or upgrades. The first few upgrades can be bought with tokens earned from completing missions. However, you need diamonds to upgrade; to even be able to complete level 1. The problem is the game rarely rewards diamonds and the quantity required is ridiculous! (After two days I have approx 30, you need over a 100 to finish level 1!) you guessed it... you can buy them though, for real world money! The constant bombardment of adverts for other games is obscene. Every mission is another enforced play advert. It ruins the flow of the game, has crashed the app on a couple of occasions, and is another example of the makers blatant disregard for the end gamer. Equally as bad is the constant in game offers. Every few missions you get an “exclusive “ offer for a new gun, which you are required to click several times to cancel. ✓ Brilliant but frustratingHaving played this game for a number of years now, I still find it frustrating that new levels take so long to be introduced. The game itself is very good and extremely addictive and despite multiple updates it must be pushing the best part of a years wait for a new level to come out!! There is also the ridiculous music that has now been added making it the most frustrating experience possible now! Why stupid music which if you turn off you get no sound at all? Crazy. Perhaps someone needs to come up with a new level instead of thinking that adding crappy music will add any kind of value to the app! Frustrating also that having accumulated billions no new weapons have been released and as far as the world ops goes, I still fail to understand how people achieve the scores they do? ✓ No chance of winningThis game was good at the start but as soon as you have finished the 21 levels it gets really repetitive. Not only that when you go into the PVP arena there are players who are premium members they have super strong armour and weapon so one shot and your dead yet when you try to kill them it takes up to 10 shots and by then they know where you are kill you first makes this game very Unenjoyable. Also you make a squad and are put up against a team that is impossible to beat. The only way to advance in this game is to pay it is a money grab for the makers yet some people are silly enough to pay it. Also let’s talk about energy . Why is this mechanic even in the game . There is no propose . I know it’s not exclusive to this game but that not make it any better . Once you get in you play some repetitive garbage . It either tracking a important NPC , shooting the guy with key feature like green headphones or hitting a running guy . Their always very boring . This means that new players can land four headshots on a high level and then the high level can one shot them in the chest . ✓ Let down by micro transactionsThe game is on the whole fun and well made, however, it is let down by the manipulative monetisation tactics you are constantly met with. The energy bar is a classic example, there is no real reason for it and you find that when you hit your limit the only options to keep playing is to watch adverts, wait hours for it to replenish or buy more energy. This is a problem they create so they can sell you the solution. Even more frustrating is the fact that waiting will not restore energy without internet and so if you go away the game becomes unplayable. On top of this there are all the tricks of the trade. They offer a really good deal initially as a hook to try and get you spending. There is a piggy bank which fills up with diamonds before your eyes after every mission but can only be accessed by paying and there is an in game currency which needs to be grinded out if you want to meet the requirements for missions but offers the ability to pay to get it strait away. ✓ SniperI looked for some support before writing this review but couldn’t find any. I would have liked to get some answers and help before reviewing this as it might be an issue or bug. Apart from they desperately try to get you to spend money, everything is about coins, diamonds well you get the idea. My issue became apparent when I kept failing on one mission, I desperately tried to understand what I was doing wrong, that I hadn’t killed enough bad guys etc and then kept getting I had “killed an innocent” that I kept getting until searched for other baddies and couldn’t establish who I was meant to shoot. The game finished quite quickly without me firing a shot yet it still said “ I had killed an innocent)! Obviously I hadn’t spent enough money☹️! Strange. Perhaps the app people may want to reply.... ✓ HUGE money grabThe game is clearly designed to take every penny from you. You get a popup almost every level for some special deal, which you have to tap twice to refuse, daily packs that you get notified of, etc… Did I forget to mention that the levels quickly become nearly impossible without paying? Each city you are forced to buy a new weapon for a ridiculous amount of money, then buy several upgrades for that gun so that you can one shot people in the head. That’s right, if you don’t constantly upgrade your gun, people survive getting shot in the head by a sniper rifle without wearing any armour whatsoever. Because you need a new gun every city, you lose all your upgrades to get a worse gun, that has better potential. POTENTIAL! SO YOU HAVE TO BUY A BUNCH OF UPGRADES TO GET TO WHERE YOUR PREVIOUS GUN WAS!! Plus, once you get a little bit into the game, upgrades take time to ship to you… so you have to wait. Unless of course you’re willing to spend all your hours worth of hard earned diamonds to speed up by 5 minutes. Now, just because they’re making money off of people doesn’t mean they won’t spam you with ads every level. All of which are at least 15 seconds, and once they finish, you have to press a tiny little skip button that often takes me multiple times to press right… for it to open another screen and force you to press another tiny little button! But enough of my little rant, let’s talk about the actual gameplay. The gameplay itself is the only decent part of the game, hence why I gave this 3 stars. The gameplay itself is pretty decent, though there may be some rather questionable hitboxes. The character design is pretty well done, all the characters look very human and semi-realistic. All the graphics are quite impressive for a free game. The objective is simple; find the bad guy and shoot them. Sometimes you have to identify them based on something they’re wearing, or the way they’re moving, or if they’re armed, and other times you already have an image of what they look like. There can be more than one enemy, some of which run, while others fire back. You might have to stealthily take them out in order, or stop them from shooting an objective, there’s a lot of variation. Each city has main quests, that all vary, and get more and more challenging, - both in gameplay, and needing a better weapon - 5 special ops that you have to complete to move to the next city, and a couple free gold farms, which are pretty much just easy things with no damage or other requirements, that reward low amounts of gold. While it helps with farming, it gets boring extremely quickly, with no variation whatsoever. One aspect of the game that gets on my nerves is the energy. Every game takes a certain amount of energy to play, some more than others, and you have a very low energy capacity. If you mess up, you have to spend energy again to retry the level. In the game’s defence, the energy does refill very quickly, but it’s slow enough to coax you into spending money to speed it up. You have two sets of energy, your main energy, and your weekly event energy. The weekly event has you go up against a horde of enemies that try to kill you, some being worth more tokens than others. Once you either die or get 30 tokens, the game ends. You rank up by getting tokens, which rewards you gold, diamonds, and occasionally token multipliers. You also get bonus rewards for your global ranking at the end of the week. The weekly event has incredibly good rewards, if you can actually beat the enemies way more powerful than you, that is. But hey, high risk, high reward. Now on to some of the miscellaneous fails of game design. At one point in a level, a woman walks down the middle of a street. She then proceeds to get hit by a car, except instead of being hit, she simply fazes through it. This is just one of the random civilians in the background. When in a level, you have your area where you can shoot. The only problem is, that area ends in some random spot, not at a wall. You can clearly see the target walking but you can’t turn to shoot them because of some invisible wall there - a questionable design choice if you ask me. The menu is kind of annoying sometimes. When you’ve recently unlocked a new city, and a new gun with that, you’re focused on upgrading your new gun even when you’re using your old one. The thing is, you can’t upgrade a weapon you don’t have equipped. So to upgrade your weapon, you have to go to the main menu, arsenal, type of gun, gun you want to equip, then select equip. You then go back to the main menu, open upgrades, pick the upgrade you want to purchase, and purchase it. Then you go back to the main menu and repeat the process of selecting your old gun. Definitely a big time waster. One last thing. Reloading takes forever. On a new gun, your magazine holds like 2 ammo. Once you run out, you watch your guy flip your gun around aimlessly for 5 seconds until your gun is reloaded. Doesn’t help when you’re in a shootout with enemies who have infinite ammo on their rapid fire semi-automatic assault rifles with 2 foot thick skulls that can apparently block sniper shots. Makes sense. That concludes my ridiculously long rant review about a free mobile game I only got cause I was bored. I applaud you for reading this whole thing if you somehow managed to. It started off okay but very, very quickly it becomes very hard to have any fun without spending a LOT of money – and I mean a truckload: you could spend hundreds within a few weeks just for a few upgrades. What I find hard to believe is that it’s creators think this game is worth that much money. $100 upgrade packs in a game with graphics that are at least ten years out of date. The game is reasonable, I’d happily pay up to a fiver for it for one off purchase, but theres no way its worth any subscription. The amount of technical issues S3D has been having for me with my fellow players and opponents, makes me wonder if it is worth the premium plus money I have spent on membership(I have cancelled my renewal)! Also, New levels used to come out every 3 months or so. But now, I’d bet it’s been a year or more since there’s been a new level. ✓ Pure FrustrationThis game used to be quite fun but since I have reached Bear status it’s been very unfair and disappointing. Sometime between 1/1/21 & 1/4/21, 14,000 of my diamonds just disappeared. I have reached out to the developers, explained what happened, asked for a ticket number and status update and here it is February 17 and still no response from developers and no reimbursement of my diamonds. Also, I played the first two PVP Squad wars of the new year and received no rewards from the wars(We won both). I also let the developers know that also and no response. As to my prior comment unfairness, I am now a golden bear but during wars and arena challenges, 99% of the time I am going against a minimum of 5 skulls and the rest lions. Very seldom do I compete against fellow bears or lower or anyone who has a comparable gear rating. This game is getting very frustrating and discouraging. The only thing that keeps me coming back is my fellow veterans who I Squad War with. If it wasn’t for them I would be gone. It’s not fun to play a game when the playing field is not fair and you lose rewards (diamonds, battle coins, coins) that you fought very hard for. Until these issues get fixed I will not spend another dime on this game and if my fellow veterans (who are having the same issues) decide to leave the game, I will be following them. Not only does it require an insane weekly 9.99 for the “premium” pass, but it also tries to lure you into paying that fee by giving you a free trial. If you are gullible enough to accept this free trial, you accept the terms that you get one week free. But, the catch is that if you don’t cancel it within the week you then begin to get charged 9.99 per week. At that rate, if you had this game for a year it would cost you over $500, which is an outrageous number considering most console games that are actually well developed only have a one time cost of $60. I can only assume this type of cost system is targeted towards small children. Of course little boys will be drawn to this type of game and it’s clear the game is meant for them. The levels are boring and repetitive and they clearly put little to no work into the structure of this game. It’s obviously a cash grab scheme targeting small children. They lure them with violent content that they find exciting, get them to accept the free trial, and thus get their parents card charged 9.99 a week. For struggling parents who are unaware of this charge, this could be devastating to them. In the middle of the game I have been interrupted by having to collect bonus coins and lose the game. You are so in love with your ads that I watch more ads than I am playing your game. THen there is the cheater. Oh, all the cheaters, with 22 kills in 2 minutes. It’s not fun when you get killed more than 3 times. And you can make 24 headshots and that player STILL lives, and it that player has the tier 25 rifle, he kills you with one shot. They don’t match rifles or protective levels, or play badge level in matches. It’s just a free for all. So the cheaters win. And if there aren't any, then it’s the guy with 10 times mmore protective equipment than you with a rifle 5 levels up. The more you play, the less fun it is. Then you run out of life and can’t play. When you’re shot, you can’t play for a few seconds in PVP. I’ve never had a game where I’ve been forced to not play so much. There is a pack they want you to buy that is £99. That is £99 of your hard earned cash. £99! Now I know you want to make money, but there is no way I am spending £99 on adverts! The reason for deleting it is always the same, it’s a good game but the developers are unfeasibly greedy. When you complete levels you get a “special reward” but you have to spend coins or diamonds earned in the game to buy them, you very rarely have enough so if you want them you can pay stupid amounts of real money. Then you have the diamond piggy bank, which fills up as you complete missions, but guess what, you have to pay real money to open it. ✓ Far Too GlitchyThis is by far my favourite iPhone game in terms of gameplay and progress satisfaction. BUT, it’s got ridiculously unstable / glitchy like other reviewers have said. It’ll tell me to connect to the internet to play PvP mode when I’m already connected. When you can get a PvP game underway your gunfire often goes straight through your opponents without causing damage, meaning you have to just wait for the timer to count down to the end of play. When selecting PvP mode it will often freeze before going to the PvP home screen. The free round will regularly freeze and malfunction. The developers are clearly aware of the glitching because you’ll periodically receive a thank you for your patience and a reward of a few coins / diamonds. With this in mind I really don’t understand why they can’t fix it properly, it just continues to glitch. I have been playing this for a while and I have noticed quite a few things that kind of ruined it for me. For one, you have to wait so much in this game. ✓ PVP is unfairSo I like this game, I really do, but some things just need to be fixed. There a a lot of problems with the game but the pvp mode is one of the big ones. I really think it was good you added PVP to the game but, the problem is the pairing algorithm. I get into a match right? Before I can even spot someone, another guy kills me within two shots. While I sit there shooting with my sniper with a 3 bullet mag. Worse part is, my shot does AT THE MOST 1 damage out of 200. Even without my victim spotting me while I sit there shooting for 10 minutes straight, the match would’ve ended before I got to kill one player! Early on I realised I could not progress at the speed the game wants me to without paying lots of real money. There are multiple sections where you can play, but you won’t be able to play them all without paying for it as it will take far too long, and there are only so many screens and scenarios that just get repeated so it gets boring real quick. The targets stand still for unusually long lengths of time with gunshots firing. If it’s a player vs player arena, you are up against players 10 times stronger than you. My damage was 94, theirs were over 1000; my defence was 280, theirs were typically 4,000 plus. Why don’t they have equal arenas matching players abilities for new players, I just didn’t stand a chance. The ‘Wanted’ section gives you the chance to go for secondary targets and build up your money, but all the levels are just a rehash of earlier levels. On another section it would not let me shoot 4 targets without shooting out the light first and I died; but on another I was able to shoot 8 targets in daylight without getting shot! How? ✓ Pure money pitNever in my life have i seen a game so money hungry, and theres alot of bad ones out there. Almost every single mission you do youll get at least 2 mini ads. Then theres 3 different ‘get these rewards’ ads. ✓ Enjoyable game but.....It’s regularly glitchy. Countdown timers on various levels and power refreshes frequently freeze. The PvP and World Ops are frequently unavailable with messages saying servers are unavailable. I keep getting shot at (and therefore dying) by opponents that aren’t there........I can follow the gunfire back to its origin and there is no one there to neutralise meaning no matter what I do I die regardless. Paid upgrades are way too expensive. Paid upgrades should enable someone to progress more quickly, but if you don’t want to pay you should still be able to progress albeit slowly. Making so many options diamond dependent which you can only obtain by paying for them is discouraging. Also it’s a sniper game, surely head shots should be worth way more than an extra 40 coins!!!!! But when I got more into it and it started repeating the same things like “sniper, did you know you could blablabakbala” and it would ask me every time and it got annoying. My 2nd issue is the piggy bank. If I’m getting so much gems cause I “earned” them, why do I have to pay ACTUAL money to earn earn my hard work? That’s very annoying and you should fix that. ✓ Enjoyable game, but….I love the game. It’s straight forward, and the missions get a little bit harder through each section. Ok, some are very similar, but generally you get a reasonable variation and difficulty. You can move through the levels without paying, but as the costs are excessive, it’s doubtful I’d ever pay anyway. You do however hit brick walls, that slow down your opportunities to upgrade weapons. The three main negatives to this game though are: 1. Excessive real cost should you decide to actually pay for any upgrades or any of the in-game currencies. 2. The in-game currencies are too varied. There are at least three categories. I can’t upgrade at the moment because I don’t have the correct tokens. Keep it simple. Do a mission, get reward (tokens, gold, diamonds or coins) but just the one, not all four. 3. The adverts are crazy, repetitive and almost incessant. Sometimes you do one mission, watch an advert, watch a second advert, do a mission and then watch the same adverts again. One option says “watch this to double your reward”. Choose decline, and you still have to watch a video advert. Ok. The cheat allows them to acquire unlimited diamonds - diamonds are extremely useful in the game, they allow you to increase your armour and weapon power and to instantly respawn in PVP matches. It is near impossible to compete against a player with unlimited diamonds. Diamonds can be purchased but they are extremely expensive. It is very unfair for the developers to keep selling diamonds when they know of the cheats, which allow players to get diamonds for free. ✓ Good game but..PVP needs fixing. Everything else about the game is great but the PVP side of things not so great. It’s not great when your being shot by dead bodies because people have used gems to respawn and you can’t see where they are actually supposed to be until their actual respawn timer was supposed to run out, they will shoot you and it will show you’re being shot at from where they used to be but there is just a dead body there and shooting that won’t damage the person that is shooting you. Second I’d rather have to like watch and ad or something instead of waiting an hour or spending gems to get equipment for my gun. And 3, I am not a fan of the 10 energy limit. I play this on iOS phone and never had any glitches-except every now and then a commercial comes on and it locks up my phone-but that was on an older phone. The negative sides of this game, and I’m really hoping the developers pay attention. If you play in the PVP arena, they always put at least one player that is way above everybody else’s level. When a player can kill 19 targets in two minutes, or the same player kills you 4 times in under 30 seconds, or you need to shoot headshots for 3 whole magazines, something’s not fair to the other players. I have come across players that are only a wolf and have astronomical armor of 555, 555 end it is not even possible when I am five levels ahead of them to obtain this amount of armor. The bodies of the enemies after you kill them often phase into objects when they fall down, and I know you are able to have physics as in your taxi levels, when the taxi driver dies the taxi flips over and if anything is in the way it will bounce of off it. They go by fast if you do it right, fast in a non “thrilling” way. Third, yeah, it’s free, but the game constantly opens intrusive pop-ups that you have to interact with in order to get rid of it. Campaign is fun but the more you progress, you’re only able to do one or two missions before you need to buy an upgrade. The higher upgrades take 30 minutes before you can equip them, but if you have a ton of gems (deep pockets) you can get them instantly. The “discounted” weapons are just out of reach with your current gold or gem amount, but if you drop a couple bucks, you can get them. Pvp is lopsided. ✓ A reasonably fun game as long if you blow your paycheck on it.If they went for realism.. they did it poorly. Targets had to be shot directly on. It was your standard arcade shooter. Fun to play I will admit but they throw but premium in your face every second. Each level starts with having to watch an ad, then you’re dropped on a screen with a small description of a mission that says blah blah kill this guy. Even when we managed to unlock the game properly, we received 10 minutes worth of advertisements for every 15-20 minutes of game play. The game connects to numerous Chinese based servers which when we further investigated were all data collection agencies. ✓ Micro transaction and sensitivity bugThe sensitivity of the shooting is a little off I’ve lost countless shots because it would not recognise my touch and it’s probably not good to be in the corner. The fact there is achievement for getting all guns is not great either, being an achievement hunter it almost feels like you have to pay to earn that achievement, and any game forcing you to put more money than required for an achievement has already lost value as you can no longer earn all achievement by just basically playing since some guns are locked by premium.
