✓ Poor pacingThe game starts out with good pacing but slows way down as your heroes hit level 9. Gear takes too long to craft and gear with a 3% chance to break seems to break with every quest. Crafting also gets convoluted quickly. Two low level boots to make a level 9 boot plus steel plates and quest materials. This is a game of timers. I was hoping for some jrpg style combat with the quests at least while waiting on crafting, a la Adventure Bar Story but no such luck. ✓ Great concept plagued with tech issuesThis game has been out for years in other platforms - and it shows. Game is polished with lots to do. Biggest problem I’ve encountered is the technical issues. Lag in the game is unbearable. It happens on occasion, and when it does, game grinds to a halt and you’re left staring at the screen waiting for something to happen for minutes. ✓ UghThere are so many unenjoyable aspects of this game. The constant tutorial pop ups ( after it stated I completed the tutorial), the random annoyance of clicking on heroes walking out front of shop (which does nothing but tells you the same stupid story over and over every 10-15 seconds), and the way the little hands keep showing you what to click on next (as I said, after tutorial is over). ✓ Complete incompetenceThe team running this game takes the word incompetence to a whole new level. First, the game lag can be so horrendous that I feel like they run the server out of an old cardboard box and some fishing line. The sporadic lag is bad enough to drive new players away. You honestly wouldn’t know what you are clicking on or how to access any of the tabs and menus. You tap a button on screen, wait up to 15 seconds, then something might happen. Some days, it’s that bad. Second, they allowed their certificate to expire in the iOS App Store, therefore making it impossible for iOS players to access their game. The official workaround - yes official- was to “set your device’s internal clock back to before our certificate expired.” Then you can play. Ok...... no thank you. We are on day 3 with no idea when or even if we will be able to log in again. I enjoy the game play and the mechanics. I enjoy being part of a city of players who are working together. I enjoy the art style of the game. I do not enjoy being screwed around by bad management, technical inadequacies, and poor communication. ✓ So many bugsPlayed this game for several months and loved it...despite the massive lag, the fact that they don’t advertise purchasing means no more free gems, I was never even responded to when I messaged customer support, and finally I started getting “failure to connect” error. I didn’t even get to participate in an entire raid weekend despite deleting and downloading the game again. Customer support never got back and I basically wasted what little money I spent. All in all don’t waste your time because they don’t care enough to even respond let alone fix bugs. I won’t be back..Version: 1.1.34

✓ Terrible SystemThe game is fun and the idea behind it is solid. However, the operation is terrible by the developer. It made to appear as a free to play game but everything inside of it is made to force you to buy gems, which or course cost money. Items that have a <3% chance of breaking will often break in the first outing. Upgrades to the shop, a premise the game revolves around, require gems. Chests which provide blueprints necessary for crafting many items you have to unlock with keys, which again cost gems. Even in events where you can earn keys, their retrieval rate is so low that it isn’t practical to attempt. Most of the time it will cost you more gems. Their city system, where you form alliances with other players and work together to upgrade building that give you different perks and required items throughout the shop, is full of bugs. Here you will become frustrated trying to keep the changes you have made, and if you ever leave the city you made yourself, it won’t allow you to go back. This is frustrating especially if you find you dislike the alliance you have just joined. Furthermore, after a couple months of playing the game randomly resent my account. I have lost all the progress in my game and have to restart from the beginning.... if I would ever choose to do so after this experience. Overall I enjoy the premise behind the game which is why it got two stars. That being said I would not recommend to anyone after the experience I had with it..Version: 1.2.40
✓ Previously rated 5 stars, now down to a hopeful 3Potentially fun game if one overlooks bad server maintenance scheduling. After one gets started, one joins or creates a city. Having a good city means there are active players that enter the game multiple times a day. This is helpful when the main event, city raid, occurs. City raid offers prizes based on your level and overall city performance. Server maintenance and updates and most game problems happen during city raid. When one can’t get into the game, because of server maintenance or a bad update or other problems, it turns a potentially fun game into just another bad game. Please note that on occasion the company will offer compensation for their mistakes, but they don’t always follow through. Not too long ago I missed city raid due to a bad update, matter in fact, I missed 8 days of game play, I was offered compensation, and still have yet to receive anything. Currently there is a server issue on their side, during city raid, and no one can connect to the game. Go figure... maybe 3 stars is too high, but I am going with it for the moment. ✓ Love the game but one problemLove the game love how you can have a city and talk to people in it you can build the city together and you can do quests and get goodies for doing them the only thing is my stuff breaks so easily I spend hundreds and thousands on armour and weapons and it would be very lucky to last at least ten battles it’s hard to get money and replace them but if one of the developers read this please get rid of this feature.Version: 1.1.34
✓ Great but can’t play...This game is fantastic. It is one of the better city builder/ idle games out there. However, since the last update, I am unable to log in to Facebook and it seems others are having the same trouble. All of my data was connected to Facebook but now every time I try to connect, the app crashes. I’ve tried re installing, hard resetting, everything. ✓ BUGS, BUGS, BUGSI've had nothing but bugs and now I've just followed the storyline into the next sequence and the game has cut away to a CGI video and the screen has just turned completely black. Exit the app completely the screen is still black, exited app again loaded in with gamecentre, loaded right up to the game and black screen again. I downloaded thinking perhaps I could now get notifications, or my screen would no longer flicker between sizes, or perhaps the fortune teller would, indeed, be back. Cloudcade continues to let down their customers while treating them like the enemy. If you spend any time on the forum, you’ll find there’s little room for feedback or constructive criticism as everything is swallowed up the the shadow of the developers’ hyper-inflated egos. *Update* I was asked to update my review because supposedly lots of issues have been fixed. Still no full screen support for IPhone X, the screen glitches during crafting, fortune teller is still broken and notifications still don’t work. Shop Titans is a better game. After a year without updates because of an abandonment to create another game that probably failed, They gave us an event and a couple of extremely overpriced packages. All you have to look forward to end game is having nothing to do but weekly raid, and new packs with more useless blueprints. More decorations. It gives users no reason to stick around past the amount they spent to get to end game. Ridiculously boring, repetitive, with absolutely nothing to look forward to. They will undoubtedly lose most player base to the newer competition shop titans, as the game on their end is in full development with frequent updates. ✓ Almost perfect gameThis game saves me from my 80 hour work weeks! I have spent around $50 on this game and I do not feel robbed for once. But recently there has been a problem with gathering resources and finishing quests. You will click to gather and it will take about 10-15 seconds for the game to respond. It may not seem like a long gap but when you are gathering recourses from 30 different bins and 8 different quest slots the time adds up. ✓ Fun game but unreliable serversI really enjoy the combination of gameplay elements in this game. It's fun exploring the crafting trees and sending heroes off to combat. The only problem is it's only useable 5 days out of the week. Every weekly maintenance since I started playing shuts me out for a day or more, I have to reinstall at the risk of losing progress. Any combo you build up towards blueprints is lost, the 24 hour limit quests expires... it diminishes any reward for playing the rest of the week, because I know the maintenance will break my ability to play in one capacity or another, and I'll start whatever raid broke the game behind everyone else because of the downtime. ✓ It's not badIt's a decent little management game, but a lot of it becomes tedious and boring later on. The weekly raids are nice. Seasonal 'events' so far are just overpriced IAPs, it would be nice to have a real event in game sometimes. It also feels like the chance of an item breaking is misrepresented, I've broken so many items that have a 1.5 to 3% chance of breaking (nearly every 5th run), and the costs to save the item are more gems than it costs to buy. The last downside is that chests rarely give anything more than cheap items or crafting ingredients making rewards feel useless..Version: 1.1.25
✓ It’s okayGames good but lack of content is an issue. Extremely pay to win and items with a 1% break chance will break all the time. Used to be a function to watch an ad to get a few gems which was nice. Lack of end game too which goes a long with the lack of content. Make money, gear up your squad, have them auto dungeons for materials. Sell materials and re gear your squad. Basically that’s the whole game which gets old very quick. ✓ Has potential but failsThis game has a lot going for it: it’s engrossing, it’s easy to dive into, you can play by yourself or jump into the community, and you can lose HOURS getting caught up in jumping from sending your heroes on adventures to crafting and back. The flaws become noticeable after you hit the typical throttle points that lean heavily on in-app purchases to launch you past. It’s fun, so it doesn’t seem like a waste, at first. Then you start noticing how they are pushing premium currency on you. Item breaks while out on an adventure? You can trash it or spend just a few gems to fix it... funny how items with a 3% chance of breaking seem to break EVERY time you come back from an adventure. Or how the only way to increase your haggling energy is to decorate your shop by spending more gems. I can see a lot of potential for this game but it is quickly strangled by high prices and resources that diminish all too quickly. If you don’t value money, it can be a great way to waste time. Well Timmy, once upon a time this game had small updates on a near monthly basis and now, it’s been about a year since any form on “content” update. They always promise that new stuff is coming, but that day never arrives and the community managers respond as if we are crazy for bringing it up. That the team is hard at work and news is coming soon. Pure gaslighting. If you can ignore all of the above and like idle shop management games then this is the game for you. Just sit quietly, don’t speak up, or you risk losing your account forever. Many of the very top players, the ones who helped shape the community and made the guides and contributed to the spreadsheet are presently banned. ✓ Get it TogetherFor now the second time, I am having to delete this game from my phone. Been playing for close to 3 years but I’ve had it with all issues that come up every time there’s an update. I have been unable to log in for close to 2 weeks now, all because of an update. A few months ago I was unable to log in for 3 weeks and again, it happened right after an update. I stopped playing over a year ago for this very reason. After not playing for one year, I thought (incorrectly) that the connectivity issues had been resolved. I know the issue is not with my phone, it is definitely Shop Heroes. This game is super fun and one of my fave mobile games but I’ve lost patience with the updates. ✓ Freemium On SteroidsThis game is like Potion Shop in that they both have the word “Shop” in their title and play similar background music. Potion Shop was a great game that if you were clever and patient, you could play without spending money. This version has taken the freemium model to a ludicrous extreme. For example; A personal hero quest can take over 4 hours to complete. If the quest fails, your 2 heroes are out of commission for 8 hours, unless you pay to have them healed. When I say the cost is hefty, I’m not exaggerating. When I log in to the game, I feel like there is a virtual mugger in the app, waiting to strong arm me out of more money..Version: 1.1.34
