✓ Cheaters**warning** rotten game! corrupt and bad ethics. I play on server 1081 and I dare Elex to investigate the alliance called Bin, leader Liu. That person is a game developer for Clash of Kings, cheats and ruins the entire game experience for everyone. Where are the moderators?....never see or hear from them. When you complain you get a 1 day ban. The entire Chinese alliance Bin are running scripts to automate farm alliances. The entire game stinks of cheating and Elex doesn't care because most of their employees play the game and are running amok while ruining it for everyone else! Shame on you Elex and Apple I have since complained about this to Apple and have received a full refund. I guess Apple is fully aware of what's going on.Version: 2.0.11
✓ A good enough game but needs some serious glitches to be fixedWhoever does the programming for COK needs to go back to school... the same glitches have been around forever, if they do fix it the next upgrade seems to bring it back. It’s like they use an older version to do upgrades, brining back old issues. It also lack good customer support... if you lose items, you get a generic response like refresh your game, even if you’ve added that you’ve already done that. then they usually close the option to respond to the same problem. This game has great potential and it used to be awesome, but they really need to get things back on track..Version: 4.19.0

Second review, customer support has improved but will still find any excuse not to send you your stuff even if you have screen shots they still want your receipts that they don’t save making it a nightmare to fight and get what is rightfully yours, the prices are still crazy expensive for a free app this game takes forever with research and building takes way to many speed ups and the game is terribly unbalanced between the players that spend money and the ones that don’t. So much so that no matter how much your on doing the levels if you don’t spend you will never have a chance. ✓ Chinese cheatersI’ve played this game on and off for a couple years. And every new server I end up in, there’s always the Chinese that have to flock to it and use their cheats to get ahead of the curve. The only way you will stand a chance is to pay otherwise you will be smothered like nothing. I’m in a new server once again and there’s already a p5 and someone with 98mil power. The top players are all Chinese. Crazy how that’s always the case. The game is fun, but only if they take out the Chinese from a server. Maybe making us servers where only us players can play against eachother and Chinese serve where they play with eachother aswell. Playing against cheaters and spending your money to try and give you a slight boost is not fair while they loose nothing..Version: 7.33.0
✓ Extremely flawedExtremely glitchy, always new events but they never fix anything broken. Even with a peace shield you can’t protect yourself against *constant* attacks from events. You have people that are like 1500% attack playing against a team that has attack like 900%. How is that even fair? This game actually needs to listen to people that play the game. ✓ Unbalanced and too PAY to play centricIn order to successfully grow into a good city you would need to inject an absurd amount of money. I left about 5 years ago because it was ridiculous hard for free players to be successful in this game now I agree since it is free no ad game there should be some form of income but man when I tell you everything is buyable it is. As for the gameplay it was fun trying to get to compete in a new world and grow as fast as possible but if you forget to put a shield up or you are asleep when your shield ends.. everything in your city is lost from troops to resource. Not to mention the small hospitals. I think in order for this game to be viable as a free to play there should be either servers that have say no hero’s or no dragon and no prestige and then if they wish to purchase items buy items and get set on a pay to play server. ✓ Don’t waste your time and moneyThe game can be interesting, however it’s definitely a pay to play game. If you’re not a big spender on games, this game isn’t for you. There are the purchase events which are a way to make your castle better than the next person’s castle. If you are not spending more than the next you obviously won’t be as good and someone out there will always spend more. Then there are the Chinese which can purchase the same for far less than the US. Further more about the Chinese, they have cheats and hacks that no one else has. So by the time you start playing Clash of Kings you’re already far behind and there is no way to catch up unless you’re willing to drop a few several $10,000. As the game goes on it adds more and more for you to spend your money on. In conclusion if you’re looking for a game and spend a few dollars this isn’t your game. ✓ Worst support you could ever get.I have a bug with my castle that I've had for 2 weeks. I've messaged support about the issue quite a lot in 2 days. Provided a full list of screenshots to prove other friends castles aren't affected. Had a friend message them for me, as per their request. They tell me it's not a bug after telling me it is a bug. Now the time countdown on alliance mine is fluctuating constantly telling me different time amounts. I try message support to inform them of it. They simply ignore my messages to them. I spend hundreds of dollars every week. Now I'm not paying a cent until they fix this. Worst support you could ever get. The amount is relative, but you can easily spend all of your discretionary income on this game hoping to become a decent player (I promis you won't achieve this hope). People have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a single account. $50,000 was spent on my account just to give you some perspective and I was middle of the road in strength and abilities. Constant updates to the game adding new ways for you to spend your money to try to become stronger which you won't achieve. Customer support favors Chinese players. Don't expect any help if you have issues. General robot answers from customer support and no possible way for litigation with chinese company. ✓ Worst Customer Experiences Ever!!!Don’t waste your time! They have the absolute worst customer service. Even when they are wrong instead of fixing the problem or resolving the issue they blame you for the problem. 99% of the time they can even understand what your problem actually is and give some stupid excuse as to why it can’t be fixed or resolved. You can even video the issue occurring and the will thank you for the video and tell you the problem isn’t there. The friendships that have been established and then being able to battle together and enjoy the game for what it is were huge benefits. Now, it is very hard to see spenders who are fed up in obtaining the relevant items needed to stay in top and help their teammates during war. Or watch the ones who cannot afford to spend leave because they can’t catch up to keep up with the rest. This game needs to quit coming out with new updates every 3 days making what came out a month ago no longer relevant. Lots of us pay you (Elex) and because of us, Elex can cash a check yet they cannot accommodate to us nor can they fix the bugs and glitches. This game is hanging on it’s last string and Elex new development team is to blame for this. Make your customer happy and then you’ll be happy, Elex. Hearsay has it that because it is a global game, cost of packages vary greatly. Be careful what you play it on. Mine invariably crashed in high action times which would indicate that they don't reinvest in the space on sever for the number of players. A crash can cost you huge like everything you built up because you were not able to respond to an attack or the like. Try and find a kingdom before level z6 not dominated by the chine. For example game chat virtually all Chinese but there is a translation function. Last and the worst support for problems is really bad. Have waited several days and no response. ✓ PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS GAMEAs you can see this game is CHINESE dominations. They'll be in favor of the chinese alliances because the developers are chinese. You'll see taiwan, china or whatever chinese alliance owning a kingdom. You'll spend lots of money here and they'll help chinese players reap you off and attack you. Once you are not in their alliance you won't win. I have been playing for a year or more. This is my advice. I had to many issues with this game and now i am fed off. Developers doesn't acknowledge your problem, I had a problem with my 3 days shield and there was a very slow progress on the app. I thought i pressed the 3 days which i did and later on it was the 8 hour shield due to their app bugging off. Next half an hour I was attacked after my shield which was supposed to be a 3 days shield but came out to be 8 hour shield. So this developer are really helping players which is in the chinese side! One other issue is I had saved 5 days advance teleport and there was once this update and my advance teleport was gone. I spent those teleports with my money and they took it away. Very unrealistic for battles though, ex 100k level 7 troops will always beat 200k level 6 troops, I have had battles close to this example many times with the same result while defending even though my troops are almost maxed out for research with attack and def. Most of the people that give it good reviews are either hackers, and/or Asian hackers from Asia, and kids using their parents money or people making it apart of their budget. I tried this and GoW for a little over a week. I tried doing as much as I can with spending only a conservative amount of money, but it’s impossible. You need an alliance.. that helps. Between most people investing most of their paycheck into the game and little kids stealing their parents credit cards to build a POWERFUL city, and hackers scamming for free, there is no competition! It really, really isn't fair. You got people playing for the real-time strategy working hard and other people (and kids) using NO STRATEGY and just keep spending thousands of dollars. Those people that spend the money will eventually get to you, conquer you, kill your troops and take your Hero and resources. And all that time is WASTED building up an army and city. ✓ Game is fun but buggy and expensive with no customer serviceI have been playing for over a year. On Feb 27th my kingdom was merged with another. I did not logon to my castle for a few days to give merge time to settle. Much to my surprise, i found out that clash of kings decided to make my castle appear on the map. I was attacked and lost 844k troops. When i contacted customer service, i was told it was my fault for NOT logging on. What a joke of a response. I feel that i am owed compensation from the developers for their mistake since my castle should have remained hidden. I also did not even receive the server merge compensation package. Elex really needs to get some decent customer service and fix their glitches. I am getting tired of their customer disservice. That is a good way to lose customers!.Version: 4.24.0

Gradually the developers moved the game into pay to play or be forever frustrated type of game. You spend weeks building friendships, your city and then some Chinese player arrives and destroys all of this in 15 minutes. Devs are abusing the sense of friendship you build with other players... If you can afford it you will buy packages to help your team and be something better than a penniless nothing. I downloaded the game again a couple years ago and it got to the point that it is not worth your time. It is now game of frustration. Don’t bother spending money it will be a waste as constant crashes and bugs introduced by new features with inadequate checks to see if they work, will result in crashes and you losing everything you have taken care to build. Bugs have always been an issue, but now it has reached a stage where peop,e are just unable to play. Developers will not compensate you for their faults and are not helpful. This game could be absolutely incredible, 5/5, they just need to make it playable for people who don’t want to spend $30+ per month just to keep up, the additions of hero’s is great! But unless you intend on paying $16 per hero you’re looking at weeks of farming, Then once you’ve bought that hero you just need to spend 3 months farming a half decent armour set, or pay $30 for in exclusive OP armour set specifically for that hero that is only available to people who will pay. Random bugs, badly placed text, unreachable and unreadable text and buttons, anything from a simple text wrapping issue to rewards from events going missing because of lag or crashes, as a fellow mobile developer it pains me to see that even the simplest of issues are still around, especially when they have these great looking events every week! In a game like this, specifically when you’re participating in dragon campaigns, ancient battlefields and slaughter battlefields, every second counts, every 0.5 second counts, which is why I just about throw my phone through the wall whenever I compete in one. The need to teleport out at a split seconds notice, recall troops or pop shields is something is all done under immense pressure, and when you realise that every time you teleport you need to re locate the camera position just to be able to select your castle to attack or shield, or if you click on the scouting tower to see what’s happening but it freezes for that 1.5seconds too long, those kind of things are what cause holes in the wall. Sadly, I shall continue playing, I won’t be spending any money on this game from now on, unless they bring out some serious patches for the already existing content I don’t see the point in throwing away money. ✓ Game supports Chinese only!!!!This game was a great game that I loved until me and my alliance realised that the Chinese where a bit strong for some stupid reason. Sorry, when they got extremely strong for us to handle. We changed kingdom and then, wow, we have a castle 30 already in a new kingdom. One of our alliance members found out, with some information that he found, that there was another app for the game but for the Chinese zone. I don't know what is going on but if you do get this game DO NOT spend money on it, because these Chinese spend over $500k money on this game. This makes it too hard to win and unfair! ✓ Pay To WinI’m writing this review because I have played this game on and off for about 2 years. There are so many games like this and the only reason these games exist is because they make mass profit. If you want to enjoy the game and take out other players you need to spend money. There are so many features that you almost are forced to buy in order to compete with other players who are spending upwards of $500 a day. If you don’t want to be wiped out, then you need to buy packs. Overall this game is a complete waste of time if you haven’t won the lottery or have a mass fortune. ✓ Never ending money pitI do like the game, but it’s becoming an endless money grab . Every new update you need to spend if your castles under a P5 forget it you’re not getting nothing you don’t get to do shadow island you don’t get to do sea anymore that’s not fair. ✓ Wasted timeIf you played classic server back in 2020 and expect it to be the same, your gonna be disappointed. They added a lot of things which you have to spend money to get stronger. There is now a plunder limit based off your castle and VIP level. C16 and VIP6 I couldn’t plunder 1m wood from my farm. They added research stones, you can buy them or you can attack a dragon boss for 50 of them, it cost 10 stamina and you can only attack 5 times. Level 1 infantry attack, takes over 1000 research stones to do only to achieve level 4 out of 5. Everything has changed for the worst. They now have badges you have to buy and you can make your troops stronger with it. This game doesn’t deserve a star at most.Version: 7.38.0

I have spent a lot of money on this game and now can not play because of the ridiculous updates that do not work. Customer service is a joke. ✓ Play at your own riskOverall the game is ok. It is horribly expensive if you want to play and have any fun at all. When I say horribly expensive I mean that you should get ready to dump at least 1K per month into this game or you will have to live under a shield forever because you will be too weak to fight. Now if you are ok spending a ton than there are still things to consider. This game is incredibly glitchy and the customer service is nonexistent. They answer you in a halfway decent amount of time but either take forever to do anything or do nothing at all. Free to play is a myth unless you are ok with being a farm for kills or resources or both. So basically go save yourself some money and go out and buy a new BMW instead. Sadly I’m not kidding...also I think that the reviews are being changed as I see tons of 5 star reviews that clearly states that they are rating the game 1 Star..Version: 4.32.0
