✓ Pretty good adventure type gameThe story is really solid! I just wish the plot could have unfolded a little more organically through dialogue as opposed to finding notes everywhere and having to read diary entries. Puzzles were decent and the mechanics of the game remind me a little of Ghost Trick. One thing that could be greatly improved and probably easy to update - the illustrations of the cinematics. The illustrations look a bit amateur and they don't match the style of the gameplay graphics which appear more refined. It's not a good first impression of the game. You aren't animating them anyway, so it would be simple enough to find another illustrator to spruce up the production value. Overall, I am impressed though, and I would buy another game from this company!.Version: 1.29

I've changed it to five!*** ___________________________ -The controls are terrible, but I can get past that. I WISH I could get into the mansion, but the game keeps crashing @ the door. I just reinstalled it. I'm starting over, from the beginning. I hope it doesn't happen again. I'd say an update/ bug fix is in order please. ____________________________ I was playing on my iPad 2, originally. The game kept crashing & I really wanted to play this one. I reached out to the developers & got an immediate response! They sent me a test & stayed in touch the entire time I played!!! Serious customer service!!! I finished the game on my phone (iPhone 5s). It was a really fun game. A bit creepy, but not terrifying for the target audience. I really just needed to know what was in that mansion! It was driving me insane! The puzzles were not too difficult. The story line was cool & I liked the character. I definitely recommend this game & I love the developers! I will most definitely be buying all their future releases!!! -Satisfied.Version: 1.23

✓ One of the best of the App StoreThis game is fantastic, one of the best purchases I’ve made for iOS. I put it up there with “The Room”, “Monument Valley”, “Year Walk”, and others of that caliber. The art direction on the game is consistently great; it really evokes a creepy, dilapidated mansion filled with secrets. The story is engaging and is well-supported by the “leaving your body” mechanic, and the main character is likable and approachable. The sound and music direction is also extremely well-done - be sure to play with the sound on in a quiet, dark room for maximum creep value. Overall, what you’re getting is a haunted house experience. The mansion in the game feels fully realized, with many secrets and creepy details to discover. While there are places you can “die” in the game, there is little penalty for doing so - the game just jumps back to the entrance of the room - so it does little to intrude onto the overall atmosphere. There are also some puzzles which might stump you for a bit, but there’s nothing here that should block you for long. Thematically, there is some violence, and a few cutscenes where people get murdered, so it may not be appropriate for some younger kids, but overall, the message is pretty hopeful and positive, despite the theme and setting, and is a good pick for kids 12 and up looking for a genuinely spooky story without too much gore. And of course it is enjoyable by adults, too. Oh, and not a single IAP in sight. Pay once and play. Love it. (As other reviewers have mentioned, I did experience some crashes when running on my older iPad, but running it on my iPhone 6+, I had no issues. Those issues appear to be device-specific.) In all, a terrific, benchmark game. WELL worth the asking price and then some. I highly recommend Whispering Willows..Version: 1.23
✓ Good Customer Support and an interesting gameThe concept is good (even if the whole Native American thing has been strip-mined to death for horror story setups; could we PLEASE get past this plot device?) The customer support is really good. The puzzles aren’t too hard, and old school gamers may benefit from drawing the traditional graph paper map… the changing mode is interesting. It’s broken into chapters and has a natural learning curve to it that I found really engaging. If you get stuck in the garden maze with the monsters, run forwards and back so that they grab and miss. Totally happy about how responsive this company is- if you have a problem, email them, I got an answer over labor day weekend. That’s dedication. It is a lot like a point and click adventure, in good ways, without the having to point and click. I also really like having the controls where they are, it’s a hybrid between a console game and a point and click and it works out pretty well!.Version: 1.23
