✓ Great for couples!My fiancé and I are big fans of the old Law & Order so this game is like a dream come true. It was so much fun trying to piece together the story :-) I will say however, it is definitely not for everyone. If you enjoy mastery, mystery, and games that blur the fourth wall, this might be for you. This game would be most suited for fans of text-based adventure games, or fans of interactive non-linear "literary" experiences like The Path. This is not really the game for those of us who (me included) like 5 minute pick-up-and-play games in which you try to 3 star every level. ✓ UniqueI made a note quite a while back to download this game when I could and I finally did just yesterday. The game itself is rather short but the experience, the uniqueness, it was worth it. ✓ Mesmerising - a new kind of storytellingI was absolutely entranced by this game. It took me 2.5 hours to complete and during that time I had no idea what was going on around me, I was so sucked into the world of this game. I made pages and pages of notes. I transcribed sections of dialogue and cross-referenced my notes against them. I drew diagrams. I felt like I was doing WORK and that it was worthwhile, meaningful and rewarding work. I've never felt this way about a game before. The story emerges organically, based entirely on what parts of it you choose to follow up. There's a real joy in making your own discoveries. The only motivation to play is your own curiosity, and to that extent you can immerse yourself as deeply as you like. How refreshing to play a game which refuses to hold your hand and present you with arbitrary goals to achieve in the face of a carefully managed difficulty curve. Instead, we have a prime example of how games as a medium can expand the realms of what is possible with storytelling. The stroke of genius here is to do away with pretty much every traditional 'game mechanic'. There is no 'strategy', nothing to 'beat', no real beginning or end. No tutorials. Nothing to collect or level up or complete... There is only Her Story..Version: 1.1

✓ Incredible, so gripping.I absolutely loved this game. It is so amazing to have the freedom to explore a police database and listen out for clues. When you find a video with some information that fills a gap it is the best feeling ever. I got so immersed into this game that I completely forgot where I was! Do not think about the final destination if the game as that is not important. This game Is realistic and therefore doesn't throw gimmicks at you to confirm to normal game strategies. Immersive mystery story is a better descriptor. You are dropped into the story with no information and no instructions. Armed only with access to an old-school database of clips from police interviews and your own research skills, you must piece together the story. I must note that there is no way to 'win', although that only adds to the artistry of the game. The real point of the game is the experience of learning the story in bits and pieces and watching how your impressions change through the the experience. There is a system to sort interview clips, although it's laborious and needs improvement (especially as there is no delete function) but I didn't find the need to use pencil and paper. Both the acting and music are good and I preferred it to Contradiction, which could be frustrating and proscriptive at times. The premise is interesting; you are investigating a case via short videos stored on an old desktop PC. All you have to do it piece it together with the limited tools at your disposal. Using keywords, you view the videos, seemingly at random, to pull the together the story of what happened. (There is a *trick* to viewing the videos in order.) I enjoyed the story, and the actress, Viva Siefert, is beautiful and intriguing. At the end, I am still left with questions about what really is happening, but a story that excites your imagination and curiosity after it ends is part of the fun. *** Technical issue: on the iPad, the game runs upside-down, making it impossible to use my keypad. I couldn't use the keyboard stand, and I either had to type upside down or constantly flip the device. That said, it didn't STOP me from playing, so don't let that stop you either. Just be aware before you buy that you can't use your device as you normally do. The game and mystery itself was a lot of fun though. ✓ Other reviews nailed it.This is a great game. The price doesn't bother me--I choose to look at it like I rented a movie for the night, since I did finish it in a matter of an hour or two. I liked seeing the story in bits and pieces. It wasn't overly confusing, and it did add a slightly creepy air at certain points. However, once the chat screen popped up (perhaps because I'm on a phone?), the video interface moved to the side to expose another clickable (the purpose of which I'm not exactly sure), cutting off my access to the fifth video in a search. So I'm pretty sure that I'm not able to see everything there is to see. I do still have quite a few questions, and maybe that's a feature of the game, but I think it's more likely that I just can't access all the videos due to telling the little chat guy that I'd figured it out. So don't end it until you are sure you've seen everything. All in all, creative and engaging, but four stars for not being able to go back and re-watch everything..Version: 1.1

✓ Think about the journey not the destination!I read several reviews before I bought this game. Some people love it while others think it is terrible. I'm in the "love it" camp. In the game you are a policeman and you can review the clips to solve the crime. Policemen have to prove guilt beyond all reasonable doubt. So you don't just have to find out "who done it" you have to be able to explain your evidence. This is where the fun comes. You immerse yourself in a scenario, you take notes, you look for inconsistencies, you look at the time line. Gradually you piece together your analysis. So ignore the bad reviews that say it was easy and the acting was bad. ✓ Great game, but...... I can't believe there's still no option to change the screen orientation. Every iPad keyboard case/stand I've ever used holds the device with the home button on the right side, but in this position the game launches and plays upside down. How hard would it be to add the option to flip the screen the other way, or auto-detect screen orientation so the game can be played while using a stand? This is the only game/app I've ever come across that does this. Other than that, the game itself is very cool!.Version: 1.1
