✓ Doesn't work.Had this app when it first rolled out and loved it but I don't recall the information to used to purchase it the first time so I decided it was worth purchasing it again but it does not work. Can't get it to connect to the bridge. Just cycles between "Searching" and "Connecting" to the bridge. My lights work fine and I'm able to control my lights from outside my wifi so the equipment seems to be working just fine..Version: 1.3

✓ Hue Camera - waste of time and moneyOn paper this app seems to fit the bill so I purchased it to run on my iPad Pro. Despite standing close to the Philips Hue bridge the software is unable to secure a connection and therefore is completely useless. I have tried to contact the developer but the link to support within the settings page of the app doesn’t work either and posting a message via the developer website resulted in no response. If you paused the movie you can watch your Hue lamps "catch up" which sort of defeats the purpose. ✓ Good right now, can be greatThis app seems pretty barebones and in its early stages right now. There are suggestions that other reviewers have pointed out, like using the microphone to help set the scene and using the Hue Zones that most users will already have set up. My biggest complaint is the amount of color sampling the app does, which is one color at a time. Other apps like Hue Sync for the computer will sample as many colors as you have lights (on each side of your screen). In conjunction with audio cues this can lead to some impressive light shows completing movies and especially music videos, but unfortunately Hue Camera doesn’t do that. It will just pick out one color and make every light that color. It also forces light to constantly stay lit, even if the scene it is aimed at is nothing but darkness. This wouldn’t be that big of an issue except for the app for some reason sets the lights to a white color, which depending on how bright you have the app set will light up your entire room. Having the lights turn on in the middle of a movie isn’t exactly something most people would enjoy. If the developers can fix some latency issues and add features that honestly should already have been present, this app would be worth its cost and then some..Version: 1.3
✓ Interesting Idea, Too Many Inherent IssuesI really wish is worked well, but unfortunately the delay between the screen and the lights kills any practical usage of this app for most movies or games. I generally experience a 20-30 second delay when playing around with it.
