Ravenscroft 275 Piano for Positive User Reviews

Room for improvementThis app really offers some fantastic piano sounds, especially after some editing works. I had to play a live concert for 850+ children and used this app in conjunction with another orchestral app to compose & practise the music at home before adding my gear to the school’s digital piano. So, when I was using both apps (one at a time) on my MIDI controller keyboard, I had to silence the piano on the volume slide to bring up the french horns from the other app. Then, I came to finally find a problem with Ravenscroft 275 app. The volume slide at the top right is too small and it was really difficult to change volume with fingers during the transition. So, here is my suggestion for improvement: It would be nice if Ravenscroft 275 developers could leave the top right bar for reading/monitoring levels “only” and then add a “large volume knob” on the right next to the reverb controls as I noticed that there is room. The knob could become bigger as the user clicks on it, just like in the iSymphonic. Thank you.Version: 1.1.9

Very fine piece of music appI really like the sound quality made through this fine music app. There is only one thing lack: record and playback options. Please make these available in the future update..Version: 1.1.3

Simply the bestNo other ac. piano app comes close to this one. As others have said, the samples sound incredible. And just as importantly, the feel is second to none in the digital world. Phenomenal, professional product. I don’t understand the negative comments about damper noise. I spent all day recording an album for a client in a real studio - not a bedroom with a MacBook. We used the Ravenscroft piano app in half the tunes. The damper noise is definitely there, and adds even more realism to the sound. If it’s too much for your taste or use, simply turn the effect down or off in the settings. Pretty straight forward. have been a pro musician for 30+ years with a lot of experience and credits under my belt. Trust me, you need to get this app if you want the best ac. piano app currently available (Sep 2019)..Version: 1.1.3

Blown away!I can’t stop playing this piano. The sound is outrageous. I especially like that I can change the timbre so easily and quick on a gig. The darker settings are great for mellow tunes. What people aren’t mentioning is the feel. It just feels right. You can adjust the touch and that combined with the tone adjust gives lots of variations to play with....but the touch feels great. Also I thought the price was high for this but if you consider the cost of a full keyboard with decent samples you are looking at lots of cash$$$. This sounds every bit as good for a fraction of the cost. I’ve used it on trio gigs and also playing with a big band. How about a Rhodes next time? 😎.Version: 1.0.3

My Go To iOS PianoI’ve tried and subsequently deleted every other iOS piano...THIS is a keeper. No sampled piano is perfect and while the modeled Pianoteq plays more like the real thing, I’m happy with the evenness of touch velocity, sound quality (concert preset and dial down the treble), stability, and just plain fun to play factor. Well worth the price..Version: 1.0.3

Absolutely Incredible!!! Get it!!!I am absolutely blown away! This is the most inspiring piano I’ve played. I own Ivory 2 which cost over $300 both the full computer version and the iOS version and have been thrilled with Ivory but tried Ravenscroft 275 after reading a good review and I’m so glad I did! I would appreciate it if They would make volume and preset controllable through MIDI. I experienced a couple audio glitches when using it with Auria and Audio Layer with a beta version of iOS 13 and hope these are will not be an insurer in the final release version of iOS 13.1..Version: 1.1.3

Worth it, butIt’s one of the best pianos sound I’ve heard considering it is an app. I am really impressed. But it has a big latency and a weird tuning sound. I don’t know if this problem is caused by my iPad or my interface. Anyway, this app is really worth it..Version: 1.1.3

Best piano (recommend for serious pianists)Best app on the iOS for pianists. This piano sounds better than expected. I’m so happy I got this app. I’m using my iPhone with the midi and it sounds amazing. I even connect it in church and it sounds good..Version: 1.1.3

Beautiful sounding pianoThis is a real pleasure to play..Version: 1.1.3

Great sound, minor problemsEven using this app on the big iPad pro that was the top of the line when it came out, there were occasional glitches at the beginning of some notes. To this beautiful sounding app has been decent for practicing piano but not so great for recording. It’s been quite a while now since I bought it, and this is still an issue..Version: 1.0.3

The Very Best iOS Piano, Period!Of course it is subjective, but the majority of users on the Audiobus forum,I believe, would agree with me. I am a jazz pianist with fifty years playing and recording and I have tried all the piano apps on the AppStore. There are other good ones, but this, to my ear, is way ahead in size, sound and stability. There used to be a problem with pedal noise, but now you can adjust or turn the pedal sound entirely off. So now it is about perfect. The EQ and reverb and velocity curve allow for great customization and you can save your own presets. RC275 is based on the $275,000 acoustic and they dare to let you play the software that the app is based on side by side with the real thing at NAMM. Need I say more? You want better? Then buy the Ravenscroft for desktop!.Version: 1.1.3

R M 444Nice sounds would like more preset’s only critique from me if any but I still enjoy it every time I use it..Version: 1.1.12

Worth every centThis app offers only Piano sound - but boy they nailed it. Light years ahead of the “Garage Band” Piano sounds and also better than several other piano sound apps I tried. For reference, I’m a lucky owner of a Nord Piano 88 and I dare say the piano sound is about at the same quality. Some nice features: If you have a MIDI piano attached the app still works in background / with display off. Also you can also slightly mod the built in sounds and make new presets. Params are: 3 Band EQ, String tension, Reverb. Minor drawbacks: The app has its own volume bar that seems decoupled from iOS sound volume and unfortunately always defaults at max volume - this actually has slight clip distortion with the mixing console I use (Yamaha MG10XU). Also on every app restart the sound selection jumps back to the first preset, regardless which one you had last in use. I hope the developers can still fix these tiny bugs in the future. Still 5 stars, fully worth the price. Would buy again..Version: 1.1.12

The best on iOSI have most of the digital piano apps available and this one sounds and responds to dynamics better than any of them. I also get no perceptible latency playing it from a Bluetooth midi controller. The included reverb sounds as good or better than plug-ins I’ve purchased separately. If you want to turn your iPad into a digital piano, you can’t do better than this one..Version: 1.1.7

It’s worth itIn my opinion this is as a real sounding a piano as anyone could ever expect from an app based source. It puts the Korg module to shame. The only thing lacking is the ability to half pedal. No app supports half paddling so I imagine it’s something to do with midi protocols. But man, I really do miss half peddling..Version: 1.1.12

Amazing sound & touchGreat Piano Sound!, Easy I could say the best in Ios App and VST instruments part of the best! Excelent touch response. The only issue that had, the Bluetooth Midi, every time that I'm striving to connect my device, the app crash. And got me out of the game. I have to turn on over again the app. I would give 5. But this is so frustrating. Hope the developers could fix that..Version: 1.1.4

A wonderful pianoThis is an excellent sampled piano which has all current audio connectivity AU, IAA and AB bases covered and a wonderful sound - All in a package of just under 1 GB (which would be closer to 6GB but for the lossless compression. It seems pretty stable so far and I love the sympathetic resonance of holding down a key until it stops ringing and hearing how other notes played interact in sound (piano players will understand me :) )-just like a real piano. If you are playing a midi piano keyboard and want the best this is it so far in my books. $55 in the Australian store might seem high but it's a steal compared to similar desktop plugins. Get it!.Version: 1.0.3

Best piano app ever!!This the BEST EVER piano app. This is worth every penny! The reproduction of a grand piano is truly amazing. I am now going to upgrade my 61 key controller to a full 88 key and get the the full piano experience Great App!!.Version: 1.1.9

So awesome but needs a major update for GarageBandThis app is my go to for a specific piano sound I really enjoy when I’m using GarageBand but now it crashes a lot and every time I try to export the audio recorded using this app from GarageBand, there is no sound. Empty. I will still give it five stars but please I hope you see this and try to update it ASAP, since it hasn’t been updated in 11 month now 🥴.Version: 1.1.12

My current favorite acoustic piano iOS appI play solo jazz piano gigs, as well as band gigs with my jazz combo and my church’s praise team. I own other highly rated iOS piano apps such as Colossus, CMP, and Korg Module Ivory. To me Ravenscroft has the most genuine sound across the range of the keyboard (88 keys). My only complaint is that there seems to be no way to call up presets using midi program and bank numbers. Personally, that would be very helpful to me during live gigs..Version: 1.1.3

FixedUpdate on my last review .all fixed, back to being the best ..Version: 1.1.4

Very responsive and adjustable!I am enjoying the Ravenscroft 275 piano more and more as I get to know it. It sounds phenomenal on its own and I’m looking forward to playing it in an ensemble….an amazing instrument to have on the iPhone. Not long ago I played a gig using a 49 note controller and an old electric piano module… this would’ve been so much better. Looking forward to getting the laptop version in the future..Version: 1.1.9

Best so far...but not perfect. Disagree with “super disappointed 10.” This piano sample player seems to capture better an ambient piano sound rather than a studio-mic’d piano, if that makes any sense. Reminds of the old practice room at college—warm, reflective, expressive. This player nails the EQ timber settings in a way that others do not. Of course play style and diversity of experiences will form your opinion. Mine is that this player sounds most organic to my ears so far. However, still looking for the perfect piano on iOS..Version: 1.0.3

Up all nightI have been searching for the ultimate ios piano app. I was a big fan of Colossus especially the upright. I have iGrand. I have uploaded the Yamaha Salamander. Finally watched tons of comparison videos especially the Soundtestroom shootout of piano apps. Finally took the plunge and spent the money. It is superb. Also works better as an audio unit in Auria than Colossus. The key difference is the beauty of the harmonic resonance, the accurate key action. It just sounds gorgeous. I have been up all night playing it..Version: 1.0.3

The standard for clean piano tone.Plenty of adjustability makes it fairly easy to fit in a mix and does quite well solo. Nice dynamic response and provides a good hands to ears feel. I have all the piano apps. This one and Colossus are my faves. The latter has a bit more character but not as tweak-able and is rather quirky. Most projects get to try both; Ravenscroft gets the spot most often..Version: 1.1.10

Pretty Good for What it IsIt would help if the developer would provide some documentation, which I can’t seem to find anywhere... The problems I encounter seem to be a function of the limited resources of the (2018) iPad. It doesn’t do polyphony well, and the sound will degrade with big arpeggiated chords and lots of pedaling (i.e.: Debussy). Ditto for the sample rate and buffer size. Just leave those at default or the latency will get ugly. If you have a good midi keyboard, keep the velocity around 95% for the best touch vs. volume. And ditto the Equalizer. Any adjustments more than just a little above/below the mean will sound terrible. If you accept the above limitations you will get the most from these gorgeous samples. Just don’t expect the same openness and presence as computer software like Pianoteq 6, etc. Phones and tablets simply don’t have the resources for that. However you can expect to enjoy a very pleasant and acceptably realistic piano sound. It’s a very good portable alternative to being tethered to a computer, and I think that’s all this app was ever meant to be..Version: 1.1.3

Very good sound..! Needs minor tweaksI love the sound of the Ravenscroft 275. I use this piano in live settings from my iPhone 8. Weddings, churches, worship houses and gigs. Don’t know why anyone could give this piano a bad review. It has an acoustic piano vibe that is very realistic. Plus it works well when layered with other sounds like strings and pads. The app is super easy to use. However I would love the option to turn off the Sustain Pedal or volume control it. It can be loud at times especially when trying to play softly. Starts to be come distracting when playing..Version: 1.0.3

Excellent piano! Very rich sound!I’m loving this piano sound; very rich and satisfying sound! Especially when playing classical music. I recommend this app!.Version: 1.1.3

Affordable, convenient and sounds greatI’m using this app on an iPhone 6S and love how quick it is to start up with only a cable to connect the midi via the lightning port and then the head phone jack out to speakers. The app has enough customisation settings to get the sound that you want without being over complicated. The sound of the piano is very clear and realistic but possibly lacking the warmth of a Steinway piano. You can always listen to samples online to see if the sound is to your liking. I also have the full version of the ravenscroft running on a Windows laptop with an external digital to analog converter. I rarely use this now because it takes ages to load up, has so many settings that it’s hard to settle on a good sound, and there’s lots of equipment and cables everywhere compared to just the iPhone. I haven’t done a close comparison of the sound quality between the two set ups but the difference is not immediately noticeable to me. If you have a midi keyboard with on-board sounds that are a little tired or like my keyboard starting to crackly then this is a fantastic way of getting a top-notch piano sound without spending much money..Version: 1.1.3

My new FaveUntil Pianoteq comes out this is awesome, just wish I could adjust the pedal noises, they are a little loud but add to the realism so I'm good with it!! Go iPad! Six months later, pedal noise is still loud, I’m really hoping pianoteq makes an iPad version..Version: 1.0.5

My go to PianoPure quality-my go to piano. I midi the Ravenscroft to my Nord Electro 5 for live work. It’s simple appearance makes it easy to make on the fly changes. I’m using a 128g iPad mini 4 with no latency/performance issues. NB: The iPhone issue of not been able to see the sound list, due to font size, has now been resolve with the latest update. Thanks guys..Version: 1.0.9

No sustain switch in auv3I bought this primarily because I often travel without a sustain pedal and this had a switch on the interface to turn sustain on, which makes playing keys much more enjoyable. However I was gobsmacked to notice that the sustain switch is only there in standalone mode and not when the app is used as an auv3! I have no idea why as there is plenty of room. If they thought it was a benefit in standalone, why would they remove in other modes? I’ve requested a refund…. The piano itself sounds nice. Edit, after more playing around I see I can use inter midi app which has decent task switching between the piano and Cubasis and have access to the sustain pedal so I’m putting my rating up to 4stars. I can’t seem to cancel my refund request so will rebuy. It would still be much easier if UVI out the switch in the AU version! Piano itselF is lovely….Version: 1.1.11

Almost there but needs improvementI play literally hundreds of Darius digital pianos with USB midi and audio connectivity. I’ve also played hundreds of professional acoustic grand pianos. For an inexpensive acoustic piano app, this is certainly one of the best I’ve used on a digital piano or midi controller digital piano. Beautiful, resonate sound with long damper pedal decay time and It has enough features to do most of the editing that I want. But as far as I can tell it’s missing half-damper pedal control when connected to a digital piano, and for me that’s a big issue. I like the expressiveness and control of the half-damper pedal which most lower and higher priced digital pianos now have internally. Acoustic pianos have continuous variable damper pedal control, but when using this app it does not send that function to the sustain pedal so it’s just basically on and off with a little bit of re-pedaling which can make the sound a bit choppy when using a sustain pedal. Not very happy with that. Perhaps Ravenscroft can do something about this or let me know if I am missing something here. Otherwise the app is very usable and much better than most, especially for the money..Version: 1.1.2

Beautiful SoundAm exploring how to get the best out of it. A pleasure..Version: 1.1.3

Love this piano. The is such a great sounding piano. It’s has become my daily driver when I travel. This is the piano I use. Excellent sound. However, I wish you could midi map things. Other than that, I highly recommend..Version: 1.1.12

One of the best Piano Vst’s on IPad/ iPhoneThis is a fantastic piano! I have the original one on my Mac! I had to get it for my phone and iPad. Only thing that needs to be fixed is the somewhat loud sustain pedal noise and also there are slight popping/ cracking sounds here and there which is odd because the iPad Pro should be able to handle this no problem. Other than those few issues, everything else is great!.Version: 1.1.2

Brilliant pianoI am honestly astonished at how iOS is able to bring us such good piano sounds. The presets are a good starting point, but tweaking to taste is definitely recommended, especially the velocity setting. I saved myself ££££ buying this and a decent hammer action MIDI keyboard instead of a hardware keyboard from the likes of Nord, Roland etc.Version: 1.1.3

Best so far, and worth the money. After playing with this for a few days, I’m thoroughly impressed with the sound and feel, as well as the relatively simple setup. For those of us who have spent hundreds (or even thousands) on pro music software in the past, the price is a drop in the bucket, and quite reasonable for a professional application that is not a toy. I’m optimistic that the developers will continue to refine this app, and hope that the features of the desktop/laptop version that are missing in this one will be included over time. One of those missing features is the ability to adjust the levels of sustain pedal noises in the mix; while realistic, they are definitely higher in this app than they should be, with no means of changing them. That’s my only quibble at this point, and I’m looking forward to further developments..Version: 1.0.3

SpeechlessThe sound is so full and it's just perfection. It has such a rich tone to it and this app was worth each and every penny..Version: 1.1.12

It’s just so good!!Everything else is poor by comparison and I have most of them . Sounds great and plays great ..Version: 1.0.7

Love this full rich soundMy fav piano app. I’m finding no resource issues, great sound.Version: 1.0.6

Great sound but could be louderThis is the best sounding ipad piano synth. I just wish it was louder, but i get that would hurt dynamics. An optional built in compressor or limiter would be nice to have more volume and toggle it to balance when you want to clip the peaks for volume vs retain the fidelity and dynamics. Hold up close to my more professional softsynths in my DAW..Version: 1.1.3

Addendum to crackles problem not resolved( Further to what I wrote previously below, I have now placed the App into GarageBand, and the occasional scratch noise on releasing the sustain pedal on my midi controller keyboard, no longer happens. So this seems to be the way to go. ) Five stars for the App played via GarageBand and four stars when played stand-alone It’s a wonderful piano sound but I have the ‘crackles’ problem mentioned by another user a year ago. I too reported the matter sending UVI a demo video. I had hoped that the latest update might have fixed the issue. It crackles intermittently when taking foot off the sustain pedal. Also, although not a fault as such, I have requested that an option be provided to ‘mute’ cc#7 volume as my controller keyboard sends out volume message that I don’t want the piano to action. I note that another user has mentioned cc#7 as well. I would like the piano not to respond to volume messages aside from being able to fix a set volume by using the slider. Please fix the crackle issue and consider the ‘volume control’ issue. Just fixing the crackle will up my rating to five stars..Version: 1.1.3

Truly an authentic rich concert toneI echo the accolades of previous reviews that Ravenscroft 275 deserves. It truly replicates Concert- Grande quality piano tone, timbre and resonance. The 10 pianos can be tweaked with ease to discover the elusive individual tones sought after and stored. The cost of the offered virtual piano app for an iOS device is a steal. The Ravenscroft 275 is my go-to stand alone piano be it virtual ,stage or acoustic pianos. No disappointments with Ravenscroft 275 — other virtual pianos I had experienced lacked that true lustrous acoustic tonality. Experience what Ravenscroft 275 has to offer and creativity at the keyboard will reach heights limited only by passion and effort to be musically creative. Inspiration is fuelled by what the Ravenscroft 275 brings to the studio. Sincerely MikeP a.k.a. alt_2ooning.Version: 1.1.11

SuperbI would say this is the best piano on ios by a country mile IMO, but in truth I haven't tried the one on Beathawk yet, or Colossus (kerching...). It is a wonderful piano though and although I prefer to use an external EQ and Reverb to the ones on board (they are absolutely fine, I just like things a bit more bespoke!), I'm consistently thrilled by the sounds I'm hearing from this and I'm putting in loads of practice as a result, just because this is such a joy to play..Version: 1.1.3

So realistic!Over 13 years of music production experience and this tool just puts a big smile on my face. So realistic, and so affordable given the end result. Ran it direct into my interface recording in Logic recently and am just blown away by the quality of the sound. Highly recommend it..Version: 1.1.3

BeautifulI agree with other users this has got to be the finest piano on IOS,it does actually inspire me to practise again. Expensive yes guess you always have to pay for Quality 5 stars no problem.rayloop..Version: 1.1.11

The PianoI wanted a ‘standard’ and chose this. I’m not even a proper keyboard player, just a tinkerer, I just wanted something good and this is it. Maybe if I’d played one of these as a kid, I might have....Version: 1.1.3

Does the job, sounds great!I am not a pianist yet, I am a student. I bought this mostly so I could practice hand exercises, scales, and chords on my ipad, while I am traveling and away from my real piano. I tried many apps and this one has the best sound quality and adjustable on screen keyboard size. It allows me to replicate the keyboard size closest to a real keyboard with slight adjustments for the range I need to play for the given exercise or scale, while confined to the dimensions of the 12.9 inch iPad screen. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does what I need it to do..Version: 1.1.12

Great piano! Needs MIDI assignable functionsGuys, this piano sounds incredible. I’m amazed. So glad I decided to not go with iGrand. Ravens’ sound is MUCH more expressive and authentic than iGrand. One thing that I’m dying for is the ability to control reverb and mix, etc with a midi controller. This would be wonderful. Thanks for considering that! Also, consider adding a transpose feature. It’ll help when we join a band in a pinch and need some grace playing in a foreign key. Lastly, we need a knob to adjust Attack and Release. Thanks!.Version: 1.1.3

Best piano on AppStoreI’ve tried every other iOS piano. This one’s the best. It’s not perfect though. There’s no midi control of eq or tambre. There’s no way to get rid of sustain pedal sounds. Would love to see more features. Maybe even a prepared piano from uvi..Version: 1.0.4

Love the SoundThis app sound superb, love using it!.Version: 1.1.3

Fantastic SoundThis is my favourite iOS piano..Version: 1.1.1

Amazing sounds, can we have a transpose function please? This simply sounds brilliant. Could a transpose function please be added in a future update? Also, it would be good if the volume could be mapped to a MIDI CC. Apart from that, it is perfect!.Version: 1.1.8

Pretty freakin awesomeLoving this app, giving me great piano sounds - worth the extra $. Will eventually go for the full version on my MacBook Pro and Logic, this gave me a way the test drive the expensive plug in cheaply on my iPad. Only dock it 1 star cause it doesn’t always reload in garage band when using inter app - not sure if that is this Apps fault or GB. Either way, it’s still worth getting and totally sonically pleasing..Version: 1.0.7

1st rate - this is the benchmarkI think the quality of this app legitimises the iPad as the truly powerful music making device that it is. Just wow!.Version: 1.1.3

Wow!So nice! I’m loving it!.Version: 1.1.12

Beautiful sound and velocity responseI have Pianoteq stage and Eastwest piano Steinway D on my computer, so when I say this is an AMAZING app to compete with the previous two virtual pianos I mentioned I mean it. It comes in half the price you’d pay for any cheap app on a computer, and it has the essential properties you need. However, don’t try playing it with headphones like I did the first time, because headphones does it a disservice. I have the Casio Privia PX 770, and playing with this app and two external powerful speakers resembles playing on an acoustic piano, in my opinion, way better than Pianoteq and eastwest piano. So would you want to pay +$100 on an app on a laptop or a computer, or have an app on your phone for less than half the price, in your pocket, just as powerful if not better? You tell me..Version: 1.1.3

Best Virtual PianoIn my opinion sounds better than Garritan CFX and Ivory 2 American Concert D. Also, the best sound ‘out of the box’ without adjusting equalisation etc..Version: 1.1.9

Crashes often after iOS 11.3 updateCrashes often after iOS 11.3 update when being used as audio unit in GarageBand. Real nice instrument by the way..Version: 1.0.4

Yep. Just like what every one saysI give it 5 stars for its performance in IOS. Yeah you can complain of it’s limitations but in the newest iPad Pro you can get more polyphony. If you like variety of the base sound, then this is not for you. You also have to play with your controller’s keybed adjustments or use a stage piano like the RD 2000. The eq and reverb controls are meh, so use sparingly..Version: 1.1.3

The bestThis remains the best, most expressive, most realistic iOS piano out there. A real instrument. Absolutely worth the outlay..Version: 1.1.12

The most realistic piano I’ve heardAfter a lot of research I bought Ravenscroft 275. Straight away I though it sounded great. To confirm this I compared it to a number of piano related apps and to hardware. Using AUM, I loaded Retro Piano, Pure Synth and used a Yamaha MODX8 to compare and contrast. Retro Piano doesn’t claim to be realistic but it’s good at what it does. The Pure Synth piano’s aren’t in the same league at all. The MODX came closest. Selecting my usual favourite I was surprised by how much better the Ravenscroft 275 is. Even making various tweaks I couldn’t get very close. Ravenscroft has more dynamic range, more velocity layers, a much richer sound, an authentic stereo audio field, sympathetic resonance and even damper noise if you want. If you’re after a great sounding, authentic, piano sound, Ravenscroft 275 won’t disappoint. It may be that the desktop version is even very slightly better, but it’s also a lot more money, and the difference is negligible..Version: 1.1.3

Ravenscroft 275 PianoI love this piano app. It sounds very nice. The Bluetooth function works fine and quickly. The tuning sounds great. The each note sounds of good quality and uniform color. Getting these was a feat! The only thing I don’t care for is how the presets are made. Maybe I need to learn more on the that but it’s not as easy as it could be?.Version: 1.1.3

Plays well but a little clunky.I like the sound, although a few improvements could be made there too, but it’s clunky getting in and out out MIDI. And generally not super smooth. I prefer Ravenscroft but when I need a piano app, usually reach for iPiano because when I’m ready to play, the tech can’t be a distraction..Version: 1.1.9

UpdatesI love you his app i have been using it for a few years….I just wish they update it maybe more sounds and more features….Version: 1.1.9

Adding a pad / stringsI’m really impressed with the quality of the sound. It also works in the background, so you open up another midi-triggered app and select a Pad or String sound to layer with the piano. I use GadgetLE or SampleTank. Ravenscroft customer service replies were quick and informative. They don’t plan to add a layering facility within the app though. I tried a couple of third party USB/lightning adapters but they either didn’t work or made the sound modulate (not just with Ravenscroft but with GarageBand, Korg Module etc). Sent them back to Amazon and bought the official Apple adapter and everything works brilliantly..Version: 1.1.3

Perfect! That is it. I found the perfect virtual piano. I downloaded it on an old iPad, hooked it to my pf-85 : heaven! Happy.🙂.Version: 1.1.3

AmazingThis is pure brilliance! Well worth the price for the amazing piano reproduction! Absolute ten out of ten! Buy it! You won’t regret it 😀.Version: 1.1.9

My go to piano on iOS and MacOSThe Ravenscroft is one of my main pianos on macOS (Ravenscroft, Ivory D, PianoTEQ and VSL’s Synchron Pianos), but is the only piano on iOS I use. It’s the best, IMO so I’ll skip the superlatives and say what I think could be improved. The iOS version doesn’t seem to have many velocity layers. Perhaps it’s a just a single layer. It also seems to have a louder noise floor. It sounds excellent through iPad Pro speakers, but not as good through studio headphones. With recent iPads and iPhones having such strong SoCs I’d like to see the iOS version updated to nearly match the macOS version feature for feature. I like the idea of a Pro version for iOS that’s like a direct port of the macOS version with upgrade offers to current users. I understand this could take up a lot of disk space, but perhaps a stronger lossless compression could be employed. Even with the current limitations it’s the best piano on iOS. I’m giving it five stars because it’s very good. However, I’d like to see parity between the iOS and macOS versions. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Ravenscroft iOS gets my award for best iOS piano!.Version: 1.1.3

Quite impressiveThis is one of the best piano vst for iOS. Amazing tone. As a pianist who has played some of the best acoustic pianos I can say I like the sound. However, it’s missing half pedaling. Still very much recommended though. Well done..Version: 1.1.7

THE FUTURE?I really didn’t want to splash out on such an expensive App, especially since I had no real way of knowing whether or not it would be what I was looking for. Anyway, 20 YouTube clips later, I decided to pull the trigger and just get it. I am blown away! I think VSTs and Apps like this will eventually take over, and I’m so blessed to be able to take advantage of such innovative breakthrough technologies. Amazing!.Version: 1.1.12

Aka I MPK midi no longer works with the appGreat app! Though my AKAI mini keyboard no longer works with this app. (IOS). It worked great in the past. The keyboard still works with all my other apps..Version: 1.1.9

Sound becomes barely audibleToday’s update has lowered the volume on my iPhone X when loaded. I can barely hear the piano sounds. Also Volume is diminished in all other apps while App is loaded even the phone ringer. Please fix this problem. Update: Problem solved with new update. Thank you.Version: 1.0.10

Beautiful piano just a little issue...First of all may I just say this a wonderful app and the sound the piano produces is just wonderful so thank you for that! However while I was recording on GarageBand (quite late at night may I add) I was shocked out of my skin by a high pitch noise through my headphones. I checked to see if this was a fault on my end with my piano (Roland FP-10) but couldn’t see how it would affect it in this way. It has since happened again and this was without having my piano plugged in and I was just using the touchscreen interface. Please could you look into this? Kind regards, RB.Version: 1.1.3
