Wow ... horrible customer service, way too expensive for a start up and the vanity number I wanted got locked out after numerous attempts to resolve the issues I had trying to activate my service. I can send missed call texts, this way I can receive request when I’m not able to answer the phone and it’s worked perfectly till yesterday my texts stopped. ✓ Awesome appI was using Google Voice so I could contact customers without revealing my personal Phone numbers or having to call from a blocked number. But Google Voice is experiencing a glitch where I cannot call out using that number, which defeats the purpose. So I decided to try out iPlum. I was excited that I could port my number so I don’t have to change it everywhere. I disagree with the person who wrote that there is no customer service. I emailed customer service with set up questions and was answered within 20 minutes and this was after 9pm. They have been more than helpful and have answered each of my questions. ✓ Nice appIPlum has had my back for years! Any time my regular service has been disconnected for whatever reason, ive always had text now to fall back on. But nowadays i actually use the app more frequently than i even bother paying for another carrier. The only issue i have with the app is the "suggested stickers" i turn them off yet it never fails they will pop back up and sometimes even when the suggestions are turned off, they'll still be on. ✓ Affordable and reliableFirst I love how affordable this is, and that you can add on a fax number as well! I haven’t had any issues calling or receiving calls so far. I haven’t used it for texting but I love that I can have secure text messages. HIPAA compliance is really important for my work so I love that it’s available if you need it. I got a fax as well which is also very affordable but I don’t like that I can only use the fax on my computer and not the app on my phone. The mobile number porting (Canada) takes a few days and it not automated as far as I can tell. There is no way of knowing when you might receive a porting out confirmation text from the carrier being cancelled. I receive text code confirmations for login verification immediately which was initially my concern. Now I change mobile phone providers, especially when travelling, without an concerns about not receiving text messages especially from account login authentication. There are multiple app options where you can get a business number, but very few allowed me to port my business number. With plum was able to do this and paying about $5 a month. You can taxt and call (unless you want to go nation wide or off wifi which is understandable) you can send voice message, have a working voicemail, can send cute video gifs!
