✓ Great for solo musicians looking for a full soundI use this app to beef up my sound when performing alone especially since my piano playing is more of a supporting instrument rather than a solo instrument. Therefore, having a drum track that I can follow and a bass and string tracks to fill out the sound makes my shows much more interesting! Plus I can do songs I used to avoid because I now have all the instrumentation I need to make that possible! The vocal tracks could honestly be better recorded and some of the instruments sound a little off but otherwise this is a great app and I’m giving it all its flowers for carrying my performances!.Version: 3.1.2
✓ Opened up my Guitar JourneyI started playing guitar 5 years ago at age 51. I love it and know the next step to improving is to play with others. Not alway easy to find others to play with and those that would welcome a beginner. I found Jamzone this past weekend. For a rookie like me it is extremely easy to navigate and understand. I could pull out one part of the song, slow it down and practise it over and over. Then take out the guitar part and I became the guitar player. I had so much fun I played for hours. ✓ Awesome app it just needs one thingI love this app very much except for the fact that there’s no way to actually edit a song’s arrangement ? That’s the only reason I gave it a four star rating. I would like to be able to customize the song by maybe taking out or muting an instrumental section and then have it automatically go to the next section of the song. ✓ Good app but needs a few changesSo I’m pleased with the app so far but would like to see some changes. I wish that you could move songs around in your set list, I’ve tried seeing if there was a setting for this but I have to manually set up a set list and find the song in my favorites to move it. Maybe it’s just user error but like I said I’ve tried everything to make this easier. I would like to see guitar diagrams it keeps saying they are coming but I’ve yet to see them. I would also like to be able to go in and set macros for changing my play settings i.e. setting up a footswitch so I can push play without having to use mouse or touch the screen. Also I notice that at times it will play a song but it’s still stuck on the previous screen and I’ll have to exit out and restart it. But overall it does what it says. Wish they would add a more songs to work with this. I wouldn’t recommend using this live unless you recorded it using a DAW and the playing back as it does glitch from time to time..Version: 3.1.1
✓ Really love the app but lacks some features!Anyway that Jamzone could slow down as much as 25%? Also would love to isolate segments of areas like chorus, bridge, instrumental; so forth, and loop them. Also a 2 or 4 count before the loop begins each time. I hope this isn’t too much to ask. ✓ Vast collection, superb qualityI have no idea how these guys are recording 400 new tracks per month. The quality is amazing, and the skill it must take to match the various effects and samples used in popular music is humbling. I can’t even match my own records half the time. ✓ A really great app, vastly improved in latest update (v.2.9)As a guitarist, I have tried all sorts of apps and hardware (drum machines etc) to provide ‘backing/practice tracks, however none provided vocals and inevitably meant that i had to waste valuable practicing time setting them up for particular song, the chorus, bridge, instrumental etc. I am now more than happy to let Jamzone take care of all that background stuff so I can just enjoy playing. The new capo feature is invaluable. I can now see the required ‘chord shape’ rather than the actual chord to be played. Also the ability to simplify chords depending on a selectable user level is a great bonus. It’s also a great app for ‘sing alongs’ and for learning how to sing along with the guitar (or your instrument of choice) The cost of purchasing individual songs can mount up, but you can download a sample and if you don’t think it’s worth it then you don’t have to buy it..Version: 2.9.0

✓ Amazing App!!I have been looking on iTunes for an app like this, many failed attempts though, But this app is the real deal! It has the chord progressions which you can change, remove any instrument or vocal to your liking. Then you can save it to a playlist for performing live. ✓ Great App, would like more functionality!I use Jamzone for live tracks as well as in rehearsal settings. I love the interface, the tracks themselves, etc. I am a premium user and I would love to see more functionally out of the Mac and iPad apps. Here are my suggestions: - The ability change/manipulate song structure. I would love to be able to add and remove sections (chorus, verse, bridge), move them, or add them to the end for an extended jam on a song - The addition of a guide/cue track in addition to the clicks. This would essentially call out the sections as they approach, e.g. the bar before. - Expanding upon the MIDI functionality for custom shortcuts, volume control of each instrument/channel etc. - The ability to insert AU Plugins on instruments/channels for specific tuning/processing of each instrument. I hope these suggestions and feedback are useful. I would love if they could be added to Jamzone and make an even better app. So grateful for all the work you guys do, it has tremendously sped up installing new songs and made me sound better live. Prior to this it was hours of working with midi and no time to play. If there’s one draw back it’s with backup vocals on a key change. I’ll use an example of Gb to C backup vocals are to low or to high when you take over the lead vocal given your moving 6 semi’s in either direction. ✓ Great app really like it except for one issueWhen I’m practicing a single section with a pre-count in, It shows the first two bars while counting in and then displays the next four bars while playing the first two bars. ✓ Fantastic for learning and practicing songsI’m a bass player and have found Jamzone to be an amazing tool for learning and practicing songs. Firstly, I can isolate the bass part and slow down the tempo to help me work it out. Then I can mute the bas part to play along. If I’m working with a singer who wants a different key, I can easily change the key and practice it that way. When I first got the app the library was OK but not great but recently I have found every song I’ve been looking for. I can also export the track without bass into my DAW and record my own bass part. ✓ AwesomeSo, I’ve never bothered writing an app review before but this is so good I thought I must…. I’ve literally just downloaded this and used it for 1 minute and I’m blown away….. I’ve previously used Yamaha Notestar, Chordify, ultimate guitar, amongst many others…. They are all good but always something missing…. I like to just have the vocals, drums and bass and jam along on my piano or accordion. Usually have to end up extracting stems in cubase to get what I want but not anymore. I was previously using a karaoke website that allowed me to create a backing track without the guitar and vocals as a mp3. This was okay but quite limiting. What I love about Jamzone is the ability to change settings on the fly, so I can adapt the song according to what I want to do and anyone else who I might be jamming with. If you are like me and love your Van Halen, Satriani, Alter Bridge and Chilli Peppers (as examples) you will be disappointed currently. Also the explore feature is flaky. You can find songs by searching, but press explore and it tells you you aren’t connected to the internet. If you want to practice Main Street covers there is possibly enough here to keep you happy. ✓ Just what I needed!This is a brilliant app. I’m a beginner/intermediate pianist (if there is such a thing) and a solid intermediate guitarist, and this really helps me to learn the PARTS by ear. The recorded tracks are excellent quality and everything works smoothly and seamlessly. The app looks good and there’s a great choice/variety of songs. The only thing that would improve it, as far as I can see, would be the capability to loop “within the loop”, i.e to loop within the individual sections, but I concede that that would be quite a big ask 🤓 A few requests: any chance of a few classical pieces? ✓ Awesome appThis is an awesome app!! I use it whenever I practice and with the band when we are learning a new song! I like how we can connect to our gear and you can play along with the song. The only draw backs are the lack of songs which is understandable since this is a newer app, we will be looking forward to the upcoming new music. The other is the down load time. You don’t want to be in a hurry while downloading it take quite awhile even with a high speed internet. Hopefully that can be fixed as this app grows. This includes rhythm, and how high or low you want the instruments to go. However, I have found myself with silent songs. Remember to doenlowd all your songs on each device in a setlist before going off line. I find that favouriting all and using a master set list called subscription folder stores everything well for me. One has to remeber to log out and in again repeatedly accross devices as you download songs to make sure they are all downloaded for off line use. The library exhaust many genres and even has free backing tracks that are pretty good for blues. Immediate feedback from the developer regarding questionable chords. You’ll love the Steely Dan tracks. Most use for me is to play guitar and mute the lead vocals even though they are there to help with the melody. ✓ Great appGreat app for playing instruments and/or sing along to an incredible catalogue of songs from loads of different genres. The key of songs can be changed to suit your preferred key. If a song is not available, there is an option (below the available songs) to “vote” on the unavailable ones to be added in future. Only thing I feel it misses is an option to change the chords to compensate the use of a capo e.g - if you played preferred to play a certain song and played an “A” with a capo on the 2nd fret (technically its a “B barre chord), the chances are the chord advised on the app would be a “B” - same principle applies for wherever you may prefer a capo with basic/open chords. Same principle applies of you play any open chords using a capo on any fret. Other than that, its a brilliant app and highly recommended..Version: 3.0.6
