✓ I’m Not Sure About This.Well I started out with this app on my iPad then I got it on my iPhone 10, and I noticed a battery drain. And my phone normally lasts 3 days if I’m not using my mobile data., And then I chose to finally read the reviews., and I saw multiple hate/bad comments., and I realised this could be a scam so I deleted the app because honestly with or without Max and the App the government will ALWAYS be tracking us. And hackers can still bite through max., so it’s best to talk to a professional and get a stronger fire wall if your really scared or need to be protected., plus these people might have just made this to lie to us because they know this could be a money making app. And the VPN is “apparently” tracking us and bringing hackers our information and leading them into our daily lives. And the Husky max was cute and all., but that might be a tactic to get kids to buy this app just for the dog which is one of the reasons I bought it. I don’t really trust this app at all anymore., and if this is not a scam I would recommend getting rid of the VPN and just creating a firewall for this,. ✓ Causes bad connectionI don’t know why but ever since I’ve started using this app, my connection would lag all the time, it would go on and off on the WiFi or use up my data because my connection would crash. And also when I was on calls it would end the call every 2 minutes. Whenever I switched off protection then my phone would go back to normal. I’m not sure why it’s doing that. ✓ ConfusedSomehow it’s showing that it’s blocking stuff and gives me the list of apps, but none of the apps listed are apps that I have used. Some of the apps shown I haven’t got on my phone or even heard of 🤔. It does give me a VPN, don’t get me wrong, but it won’t be any use checking to see what its protected you against. Kinda needs to be fixed. In doing so, when you check what its protected you against, you should be able to click on the app and see what the crack is. Just a thought..Version: 2.14.1
✓ Has caused me some problemsIt’s a great app, for giving you a free VPN. However, after I got the app, I began having issues with my WiFi. I would go into my settings to join the network, it would say I’m connected, but I wasn’t actually connected. (And yes, I did tell the app that it was a network I could trust.) The first time this happened, I ended up having to do something to my WiFi box, forcing the whole house to disconnect and I got into an argument with my brother over Fortnite. It kept happening, so I ended up looking it up. It told me to try disconnecting from my VPN, so I went into the app. I tried searching everywhere I could think to disconnect; I was pretty much forced to delete the app. And wouldn’t you know it, I went into my settings, tried to connect to WiFi, and bam! Not sure if it was an issue with the app itself, or I just unknowingly did something inside the app that caused that to happen. ✓ It’s okaySo i’ve been using this VPN for a while now but i haven’t really noticed much of a difference before and after I installed it, anyway, my phone offloaded the app to save storage and my wifi on my phone just went out. No matter which wifi account i’d connect to, it wouldn’t connect, but then once I reinstalled the app, the wifi suddenly turned on again, but when I turn the VPN off in settings, my wifi will turn off again and then the VPN will just turn back on again. I want to delete this app, but I am scared that it wouldn’t bring back my wifi and don’t really know what to do in this situation. ✓ LISTEN TO THE 1 STAR REVIEWS!!!!This app can literally not be trusted. Putting in personal details for this app to work is just dumb. The app may be trying to track your device/location when you put these details down. Another weird problem is that this app can literally MOVE your volume and brightness up and down. Which is basically entering your device. People have been stating this for a while. The high reviews are really, really fake. And lastly, the main problem. The random disconnection of wifi after using this app for 3 days. The first and second day are completely normal, where it somehow ‘protects’ your device from around 100 ‘viruses’ or ‘trackers’ in about an hour of using. The third day however, has caused people to somehow disconnect from their wifi. But as soon as you delete this app, the wifi comes back.. almost like THE APP DISCONNECTS IT THEMSELVES. ✓ Is this just me?I saw an ad for this app and thought it looked like a good app to protect my phone I was most excited that it was free unlike some others leading me to download phone guardian, for the first few hours everything was fine, but then on my phone it showed I could not connect to the internet however my internet was working perfectly fine until then. ✓ Stops the wifi from workingSo I got phone guardian from a bunch of ads I got on random games. Everything was fine for a while but then suddenly my internet stopped working on my iPad. I asked my family if their internet was working and on their devices the wifi worked fine. The router was also working and I even reset my iPad trying to figure out what the problem was. Then, I tried turning the protection off on the phone guardian app then the internet started working again! I tested this multiple times and realised that it was the reason my internet wasn’t working. ✓ Do Not Download and READ!I got this app 3 or 4 years ago, and had it on each of my phones I got. I always felt protected and recently suggested it to my friends. After a while they were complaining about it. I went to check the reviews that I hadn’t ever done before. I checked and saw a LOT of bad reviews warning people about how the app attracts hackers and how the free VPN was a tracker. I got so scared I had deleted the app and informed my friends to delete it too. Since I had deleted the app my phone would make the notification sound of getting a text message, but when I go check there are no new messages? ✓ Never againI downloaded this app thinking it was an amazing way to stop hackers, yes it may, but I couldn’t even charge my phone! It took up so much storage and power the first chance I had I deleted it. After about 5 minutes it stopped 200 hackers and people trying to track this phone, I did an experiment to see how many “people” trying to track me and hack into the phone, next thing I knew it stopped 2000 more, this is NOT an exaggeration. I got fed up with it. I mean 2000 hackers in less than a minute... yeah right... more like this app wants us to get hacked and tracked, because after I deleted it, I found that my phone was glitching a lot. ✓ HorribleAt first this app was great but after about 5-7days my phone starting acting weird, like every time I went home it wouldn’t connect me to my wifi and every time I face timed someone it would always cut out. It never made sense so I just deleted the app and after that my phone was much better however there is still some little glitches like on games and apps. I think I might have got a virus off of this app but I’m hoping not as I have an Apple iPhone 6s Plus. ✓ Doesn’t work and messed up my phoneI just got a new iPhone for Christmas and wanted an app to protect my security. I put it off for a while and things were going smooth. One day though, I realized I needed one just to be safe so I downloaded it. Immediately stuff started going weird on my phone. WiFi and data stopped working, phone would glitch and a whole bunch of stuff too. I figured it was something else on my phone so I reset a bunch of apps and deleted them. (not thinking it could be the security app) I then realized after it not working time and time again, the only app left untouched was the security one. I deleted it and instantly my phone worked smoother. No problems whatsoever and I still haven’t had any. I don’t know what went wrong, but as a security app that has major flaws for the newer phones, it’s pretty bad. It could just be me, but I highly doubt it since everything went back to normal after. ✓ Phone became dependent.To explain my situation, ever since I installed this VPN, my phone has entirely depended on it being on. What I mean by this is, whenever I turn off the VPN, my phone will not let me use the internet or anything that would require some form of internet connection to function. Not with my LTE connection, or even my own WiFi connection, no matter how strong said connection is. ✓ Questions can be sketchySo far I’m satisfied with this app, but I had a strange feeling about the question that were asked in the intro, to “get to know a little more about you”. To be safe I suggest skipping or lying on questions that would be unnecessary, for instance one question I was asked was how old I was and I simply lied or another question I was asked was how much taxes I had in different households or something close to that , first of all you should just skip this question because for all I know this app could be a scam itself, and second of all this is a really sketchy question. ✓ Haven’t had access to network data in 5 weeksI’ve had Max protecting me for months now, all was going fine up until 5 weeks ago when I suddenly couldn’t access any apps that required online data. I was able to still use wifi at home and work, but anytime I was away from either of those I had no internet. Couldn’t access any app, couldn’t search anything online, couldn’t send mms message etc. Funnily enough I could still call & text. Backwards and forwards with my phone provider, then finally today I was trying my own troubleshooting again and somewhere I read something about resetting new work settings and something about the phones VPN, so I tried turning OFF Max. ✓ Needs updatingBoth my wife and I have been using this for the last 2 years on iPhones 7 & 7+ without problem. The for Christmas we upgraded to iPhone X and 12, for the last 6 weeks neither of us has been able to access the internet via mobile data. I kept Googling the problem to no avail. ✓ VPN isn’t even a VPN, Bugs and it Crashed my IPadAlright let’s get this out of the way, First, this isn’t a VPN a VPN Masks your IP. My IP was the exact Same thing when I checked it during the VPN. However read the terms and conditions and you’ll see that that’s the very thing this app is doing! It is collecting your data and you are signing over the rights for them to sell it on to third parties! ✓ Pointless.So i downloaded this app from all the good reviews it had and some family members before me has it so I got it. I mean I haven’t had this app for too long but I wouldn’t recommend it. They ask for a lot of permissions and it doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t know how they get 56 trackers by me just opening safari. This may have put a virus on my phone that I’m not aware of, or is taking my personal information that I thought would be “protected.” Maybe it works well for some but I don’t see the point in doing it when you can speak to a professional in person without having an app that doesn’t really have a purpose, and it’s free so it couldn’t be that good. ✓ App made my phone screwyAt first the app was great. Had no issues for the first few days aside from not being able to access internet banking while the apps protection was running. But a few hours before I started typing this my phone stopped connecting to the internet except by wifi. Then about 15 minutes before typing this unnoticed my phone was making no sound. ✓ Tracker Ads Return After Latest UpdateI’ve submitted 3 recent emails to Phone Guardian to discuss my dismay over their decision to no longer block ads or tracker ads. Since the latest update, every app I use has ads galore “everywhere” and I was a once HUGE FAN that referred family & friends to use the Phone Guardian app. All of my recent emails have not been responded yet from Phone Guardian, although I received automated sent emails stating they would contact me to discuss my questions. I have loved this wonderful free app, until their decision to allow ads/tracker ads to return. It’s a blooming nightmare the amount of phishing emails I’ve received the past couple of weeks, including blackmailers demanding bitcoin payment to not hack my accounts, after they provided one of my private computer passwords & warnings that changing my password will not help. PLEASE PHONE GUARDIAN PUT THE AD/TRACKER AD BLOCKER BACK. Disconnects your internetSo I downloaded this app a few years ago because my brother had it and said it was good, it is free and apparently it let you access stuff that isn’t available in your country. It does NOT hide your ip address at all, it won’t change your location to another country, and it offers minimal protection. After a while, I started noticing that my WiFi would cut off randomly and certain apps wouldn’t work and would say I was offline, despite having my internet turned on. It does normally work when I use 4G though. I came to the conclusion that Phone Guardian was causing this interference, and I found it very strange. Whenever I delete the app, my WiFi works just fine, like normal. I have had to delete this app and reinstall many times, but I am now not going to be downloading it ever again. ✓ Didn’t expect for it to be like thisSo I got this game because I saw it on adds then it looked like it will protect your phone/iPad so one day when I went on safari it said safari has prevented 20 trackers from finding my info 😨🤯 and I also seen that some other reviews said it has access to ur account stuff like that and obviously I believe that like it also asks u for something before u get in to the app I think this app uses ur info for something😨so even the trackers thing I think this all causes that because when I didn’t have this app that never happened I think it has something to do with the app so if any of u get this app just look if there is any strange things (this has nothing to do with what I typed above lol but it won’t let me see my review).Version: 3.7.0
✓ Good but....It is good but you will notice a massive effect involving not connecting to internet, instant crashes in games that are popular and are definitely not risky, I saw a review about your internet being slow so I tried to delete it, boom I can connect to the internet. When you connect it will ask do you trust this network? I allow it and right after it blocks it. If you like loading that will take an hour this is for you. Another problem I had was blocking sites that are ALREADY SECURED BY GOOGLE. If they fix this problem I definitely will download this app again but in meantime, I won’t use a VPN protector. ✓ Won’t recommendI don’t recommend this app. I tried it on my old phone, It asked me to have access to: Storage, photos, SIM cards. I allowed it thinking that it would protect me but then, all my photos and data was gone! Including the photos I needed to print out for my presentation.. So I kinda failed the exam.. ✓ More of a virusI download this app on my iPad 9 for school reasons and ever since i deleted it, my home wifi stopped working for my ipad. When I asked my family members, they said their devices was working fine so that left me confused. In my opinion as a person from Australia, I’ll say its one of those apps which you test for a little bit, works great so you keep it, then performs terribly the next day so you remove it and you get a curse for doing it. 2/5.Version: 4.0.1
✓ UmOk so I got this app because I saw ads about it on some games I had so obviously I downloaded it. Everything was good at first I thought it was pretty cool so I kept it for a day but the. Day two struck I wasn’t connected to the house wifi so I asked people who live with me if the wifi is out they said no it’s working perfectly so I thought why the hell is mine not working I turned the wifi off and on but still nothing it’s was weird because they all said the wifi was working but it wasn’t I turned the VPN off but still nothing I started to think it was my phone but this all started when I got that app the VPN app and my phone has never done this before so I deleted the VPN app after about a minute the wifi was working on my phone again some how the VPN app made the wifi not work on my phone that is super weird never again am I ever listening to a stupid ad I would not recommend this app to anyone after all the stress it put me through and always read the reviews they all said warning don’t get the app always read the reviews and never listen to stupid ads good day 😠.Version: 3.2.0
✓ It was ok kinda not reallySo I was using it and for a while it was good but lately my WiFi was getting really bad and even mobile data wasn’t working I ended up deleting my apps to see if it was one of them and after I deleted this one my WiFi started working just fine. Also the other people living with me their WiFi worked fine and my WiFi worked fine on the device that didn’t have the app on it was just my phone that I had the app on that the WiFi didn’t work on. ✓ UmI've had this app for quite a while now, ever since I moved to iPhone. But ever since I moved to iPhone, it's been causing me problems. When I first got it on my current phone, it's been ok for two about a year or two. But for, about a year now, it's been a real pain. If I turn my phone off for a few seconds and turn it back on, it won't let me use any social media app for a least a minute or two to "start up" or "turn on". I wasn't able to use my mobile data in school because of this app. My phone would say "no interest connection", even though i have quite a lot of data. But I decided to see what would happen if I turn it off and try to use data and it worked fine, so I deleted it. This app is basically useless, I wouldn't recommend it..Version: 3.8.2
