✓ Perfect appThis app is the perfect twitter client. It gives you a fresh clean feed unlike the Twitter app which has an ad every two tweets it seems. Would like to see some UI updates as it’s been the same for awhile now..Version: 5.1.4
✓ Combines the best of other Twitter appsI was always a big Echofon fan but the developers didn’t keep up with the evolution of Twitter. I couldn’t get on with the official app so moved to Tweetdeck which is good but slow and clunky at times. So decided to fork out a fiver for Tweet it and quickly decided it was worth the money. Great interface combining the best of those other apps. Very quick and slick… a pleasure to use..Version: 5.0.8

✓ Great App, Awful IconTweetbot is a great Twitter app, does everything I need it to, looks great and runs slickly. But what lets it down is the ugly icon of the app itself. ✓ Tweetbot, so much better than TwitterGives it me the tweets as they happen not how the app thinks it should happen. On the odd occasion I do go on Twitter I find it so random that if that’s all I had I probably wouldn’t bother. Tweetbot is how it should be. Please don’t change it.Version: 5.1.4
✓ Nice to use, but...Doesn’t seem to support Twitter polls. There’s a “smart” setting to convert three dots to a single ellipsis character, but (unlike in the previous version I had) it counts as two characters and the cursor skips forward an extra character – which is mildly annoying..Version: 5.3
✓ Good app couple of gripesMain gripe is not being able to drill into a tweet for replies without hitting submenu. List names also a bit glitchy (disappear) and tweet count could show on notifications ideally. ✓ Tasteful, useful, and better than native appTweetbot is a fantastic Twitter app. It had extensive muting features way before Twitter. It has superior list viewing. It has a way more intuitive account switching feature. Each new version may cost money, but the care and attention that goes into each revision is worth that money. More importantly, it makes the experience of useing Twitter itself more pleasurable, and more manageable, than the native app. If there are any weaknesses, it is likely due to Twitter pulling back on APIs for third-party clients, meaning threading and polls suffer for example, so keep the native app around just as a backup..Version: 4.7.3
✓ Brilliant twitter clientI use Tweetbot mainly for the chronological timeline that stays synced between devices, but there are many nice touches to this app. Twitters API restrictions are a shame, but they don’t affect me much. ✓ Version 5 - better but still with functionality limitationsTweetbot is amazing. A few issues make it not 5 star. Used to be able to place a dot at beginning of response tweets, so that replies would be public. This is no longer possible. Not related to Twitter API! You can write a response tweet from scratch but it is an effort copy pasting, and it breaks the conversation thread. Secondly the ellipsis bug still exists. Please fix this. When you enter three dots in the middle of a sentence, the cursor moves incorrectly. Just try it and you will see. Tweetbot fixed this for about 6 months, 3 years ago. Pics also fail to load REGULARLY as do twitter profile pics. The dark theme is just black - not a dark theme at all and what’s with the blue accents all over the place. Twitter have tried to stop it from working, because they are a horribly run company, but tweetbot is still around for now. ✓ AMAZING!!I LOVE this app so much. As a previous user of twitterific and being annoyed that i paid and still have banner ads i love tweetbot even more. No ads chronological timeline etc. It hits all the boxes and is at a low low monthly price. The default twitter app is useless at this point, not showing me content i want to see even if i follow the account. ✓ AnalyticsThe analytics have to be re introduced into the app. There is a way to see how many likes and retweets but Tweetbot has given up on this. Also tweetbot is way better than the twitter app. Because there is no advertising and no “preferred” tweets or predicted favourites. Never ever use the twitter app.Version: 5.0.1
✓ Still the bestThis app ships with one icon and one theme. If you tip them using the in app option, it unlocks new themes. This is fine. It’s cosmetic. The feature set is good, and supplies a nice way to read twitter, with pop up previews, and if you use the side bar for lists, pop ups with all the threading and replies. The tweet threading is not as simple as it could be but is designed to be as simple as it can be while letting you find and add to your threads later on, or create on going topics. ✓ A drop in qualityBeen a Tweetbot user for years, happy to pay the upgrade for a better twitter experience. This version seems to have a lot of bugs though which is not what I’ve come to expect from the devs as it’s usually pretty polished. Views keep unexpectedly losing all data I.e you can see there is a tweet, but the text is hidden. Trends get stuck for days/weeks without updating. Disappointed..Version: 5.0.6

✓ The white! It burns!!!Brilliant app, loads of functionality, ruined by a stark, blank bland white UI. I stare at this sea of white and can barely see where one tweet ends and another starts! I tried using Tweetbot 3 for a while, but that’s old and unsupported now. I also tried the dark theme, that’s better, but I can still barely make out the UI vs the content and where one tweet ends and another begins. Please stop with this ‘getting out of the white of the content nonsense’ UI design. I can’t barely stand to use this app, it is actually driving me to check the Twitter website for the first time in years (have been using Tweetbot since soon after it launched)..Version: 4.7.3

✓ Haptics and Opening LinksNow that 3D/Haptic touch support is available could Open in Safari be added to the menu that appears when you long press on a link or photo? I used to be able open an Instagram hosted photo link in Safari so I could see the full selection of images from an Instagram post (as Tweetbot only shows the first photo) but now 3D/Haptic touch is always on in iOS13 I can no longer do this..Version: 5.1.4

✓ The best way to experience Twitter in 2019I’ve used Tweetbot for years now, but the recent changes to Twitter’s official clients have brought just how good it is into sharp relief. It presents you a good looking chronological timeline of tweets from those you follow and pretty much just stays out of your way otherwise. There’s no fuss of ads, promoted tweets, suggested follows, suggested hashtags, trending stuff, or any of the other algorithmically-driven nonsense that Twitter push on you in their clients that have made it so bad recently. And when you need to curate what you can see with mutes or filters or blocks, that’s all easy to do and manage, and syncs across all of your devices if you use it on iPad and Mac too. Tweetbot has always been great, but the main competitor getting so much worse makes it even more appealing today..Version: 5.0.8

Tapbots really pay attention to detail and care about the user experience, something that Twitter itself could learn from. Just can’t imagine using Twitter’s own client, or, shudder, the website itself.
