✓ Terrible screen layoutFor some reason the developer thinks that being able to see the bosses in this game is unimportant. For iPad users it is a nightmare because the screen layout is ridiculous. Network fill the screen with rubbish and leave a tiny window at the bottom for the actual game. I have tried contacting support a number of times over the last few months but they are not interested in fact they reduced the size of the window again. ✓ Devs really messing upAt one time I loved this game. Now they have made it where you can’t enjoy the game and get things unless you spend lots of money. This at one time was not the case. Also the game keeps kicking me out in three different WiFi’s. When I turn it in the just say that it is my internet. This cost you valuable things that you need to collect other things that you need to progress in the game. Not to mention I had two friends who’s account were really good and they got lost. They had to start the game all over again. Don’t waste your time unless you have plenty of money to spend and willing to continue to spend lots of money as it is getting worse and worse. I have been playing for about two years. At times I would spend most of my time on this game. Some times even up till like 3:00 in the morning cause I just couldn’t put it down. Now I barely play as it is almost impossible to progress and have fun without spending money. As pretty much a single dad and a normal person I can’t afford to play effectively anymore. ✓ Good Game but horrible connectivity issuesThis game is awesome in its mechanics and it’s play through and while it does allow for in game purchases it is still quite easy and possible to progress through the game quickly without spending a single dime on it. However the largest and most annoying issue is the games large amount of time where it’s unreachable due its bad server host, and even when you are able to play often times it’s so slow you might as well of not even gotten on to play. Overall the game is easily a very fun and addictive game to play but the lack of connectivity over time leads one to not want to play as much as you once did or not at all anymore. Update Company misleads you to believe odds for getting a particular hero card is 1 out of 4 by showing you four particular hero’s you might be rewarded with when getting a pack. However it’s not even close to a 1 out 4 chance to receive each individual hero, all this games developers seem to care about are getting in you to spend money by lying by using misleading information in the belief you have a good chance of getting a hero you don’t have. If you play this game don’t waste your money or the in game currency(gems) you get on buying heroes unless you don’t care about receiving the same hero a ridiculous amount of times instead of getting new heroes you don’t have..Version: 1.13.4
✓ Game going downhillI’ve been playing for almost a year, and the game is now feeling like a job, instead of being a fun game to play on my phone. The only reason I’m still playing is because of my guild, though half of it is now playing Gems of War, where they don’t punish you for playing. There have been some nice cosmetic improvements, but most everything is either a grind (Commander Events, PvP, Bounty, Gold Legend Trials) or Unplayable (Heavenly Spire, which has potential, but was designed poorly for the target players). They keep removing the things where you could feel like you won (no chance for UltraRares on Tier 1 of event packs), the event stores have not been updated, the dust pools have not been updated, the warden pools have not been updated and the WORST offender, the relic pools have never been updated. Rewards are now VERY out of date. We used to be well compensated if the server went down for 15 minutes, a couple weeks ago I was unable to effectively play for 15 hours and what I received was a pittance. My advice? Despite amazing art and graphics, along with a fun and unique gem board mechanic, I would skip this and find something else..Version: 2.5.8
✓ Great BUT!!!!Played this game for approximately two years now and it is a great game. The mechanics of collecting the cards, upgrading them getting them to work together to complete an array of different tasks is fantastic best most addictive game I’ve every played. That said it is completely spoiled by the insistence of the developers to constantly change the way in which cards are collected and the method used to create massive damage. This has the effect of making all the cards you have collected worthless, constantly expecting you to spend vast amounts of money to collect the latest deck. Vip players pay £29 a month subscription and then have to spend more money buying extra gems, this has always been the case, so I have always stayed f2p and brought gems when in desperate need of them. Been playing the game for over 2 years as it’s a great community and my guild are awesome!! But really needed to vent mine and thousands of other players frustration as the last update on the 19 Dec 2019 has completely ruined this game. . . ✓ Worst costumer support EVER!What to say about this game? The players are great! The concept is decent, the game play is extremely repetitive but for first six months can be very fun... card value is criminal. The cost to play vs the value of your purchases is only worth it for the week of an event. 80% of your purchases are garbage the following week and 95% are garbage by the time the next cycle comes around. The real kicker is that with how much you spend to play, the customer support should be top notch... #theyarenot!... this game robs you blind and then leaves you on the side of the road naked and alone whenever you have an issue. I’ve NEVER had to reach out to customer support to any company this much and most of the time my issues take FOREVER to be resolved or the resolution is non existent. I ask myself every day why I still play, but regardless of whether I stay or not, they don’t get nearly what they used to from me! I’ve been burned too many times to ever go full force into a game that just wants your money and doesn’t care about the players who are giving it 😢. ✓ Fantastic game now in tattered ruins due to developer greedI loved this game, please note the past tense. I’ve cancelled my VIP subscription, and will not spend another penny on this game. Obviously games go through evolutions, that’s a natural development to keep players happy and entice new ones. However, this newest update has completely destroyed the game. It is now prohibitively expensive if you want to play to compete, and after getting rid of fight variations, it is now incredibly boring to participate in the events. I really hope the developers take the time to read the recent, negative reviews, and realise they’ve gone too far. In an ideal world an update returning to the previous event fight styles and the vault would be forthcoming. That would get me spending again. Lots of micro transaction grabs, and to play at higher levels and get the best goods, you need to fork over some green. ✓ Great game if you’re willing to spend....This game is a good match three game, but there are some extremely bad things about it that you will only learn over time:- Don’t expect to progress unless you pay! This game hides a lot of things behind paywalls and you can only be top of the leaderboards by dropping up to £1000’s each week! The devs will devalue everything you earn through pay and play each year to keep their revenue going despite what they may promise and if your not sure what this means look into something they called ‘forever decks’ They went from gen 1 > gen 2 > gen 3 and now to gen 4 and at each stage devalued old gen X decks to not be competitive. In short try the game by all means but do your research before each purchase and always be mindful that sweeping changes can happen at any moment that changes how the game works (for example reducing the power output your purchased deck once the event ends by 50%+)..Version: 3.6.4

✓ GreedyI planned to leave a 2 star review a year ago but I stayed just to see if the devs would turn the game around. And yeah, they did..for the worse I was going to leave a one star review but because the game has kept me entertained for a long time I give it a 2. The game’s engine is run by Greed. Greed is currently the fuel behind the updates / changes you get every week. These updates would always push you to grind more for less rewards, to buy more packs, to waste your time and money on a deck only to have it become obsolete in a few months time. What’s worse is that these changes are accompanied by announcements suggesting that these are benefits for the players and their demands when it is not even 1% true. We never wanted skins, we never asked for our cards to be made obsolete, we never asked for 10x more grind, we’ve never asked for less rewards, we never asked for a worse game experience. So the communication from the devs are simply of lies, hypocrisy and deceit. This is what gets me. In saying this. Games like this only changes for the better when enough players leave and stop buying the packs. This has happened a few times in this game. But as soon as the game gets better it gets worse. So its always a one step uphill and a 5 steps downhill. I have lots more to say but yeah Ill leave it at that. This game has served me well in the past so Ill keep it to myself..Version: 3.6.4
✓ Use to love this game.I have played this game for almost 3 yrs and loved it. But its now all about the money and there isn’t much you can do in this game if you don’t spend some big money. Almost $50.00 a month Canadian just to get the VIP which you need now to do anything and that’s just a start of the money you need to fork out to get the cards needed to be able to play at a decent level. It became very frustrating because of the expense and I gave up my VIP and after playing for several months without it realized that there is no sense playing anymore at all and I deleted the game. My friend and I made a guild awhile back but we both stopped playing for like a month due to personal reasons. I get back on the app, knowing that I would be kicked from the guild due to inactivity. I find out the the game also KICKED MY FRIEND/ LEADER OF THE GUILD OUT OF HIS OWN GUILD!!!! Some random person who we didn’t know was put in charge of it. This guy hasn’t been active for over a week so trying to talk to him to get leadership position back was useless. I contacted support and the refuse to do anything unless the guild VOTES to get my friend back in leadership. Well over half the guild members are inactive and the ones that are active don’t look at the chat. So I was only able to get four votes out of the five needed. Hopefully they accept that. ITS AN UNFAIR SYSTEM!!!!!! I SHOULDNT HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO GET MY FRIEND BACK IN LEADERSHIP WHEN THE GAME SHOULD NEVER HAVE KICKED HIM FROM HIS POSITION AS GUILD LEADER!!!! I give them 24 more hours to fix this error of thieves before the app is deleted and I tell everyone I know to never download this app and to tell their friends. ✓ I used to really love this game& I am not one of the longtime players who has stuff through an endless amount of changes; I am simply one of the long enough who has grown weary the ever stingier vault drops; having to find a workaround four out of five events per season due to said drops if I want to participate; watching my solo rank tank while I place in guild; event rewards that have not kept pace with the increased requirements of solo and guild bosses or their HP. I get it that it’s a business and they are there to make money but a business without customers or a business with unhappy customers who are unwilling to spend money due to that unhappiness doesn’t seem like a very good way to do business - plenty of suggestions that have been popular and successful in the past (half price vaults) have been made by players and yet gimmicks are implemented instead. That’s right, that’s how much you have to spend in order to be competitive within this game and that’s if you’re lucky as now getting decent cards relies solely on a roulette system! If you want to progress in this game please also be aware you need plenty of time on your hands as this is not a time killing sort of game. Be expected to have to spend at least 3-5 hours a day in order to progress. On a positive note, the community are immense! ✓ Issues with iOS crashing, no refundsIf I could I would give it no stars. I have played this game over 2 years. There are ups and downs. The ups are it is fun getting to the top in events. The down side is the BIG ISSUE WITH GAME CRASHING on iOS. During fights/attacks the game crashes, and app closes, and when it finally allows you to log back into app, whatever keys you were using when crash happened, are gone and your fight/attack is lost. This happens repeatedly!! Sometimes app crashes before you get to home page or it just doesn’t load. Wish they would fix it!! I will no longer be vip, it just takes your $ and no refund. The in app prices are so high for card collections. It use to not be this way, but they have changed it. Not only do you have your $29 monthly vip, but you still have to spend twice as much to get event relics and cards. But then I started getting these new pre-patches boasting new legends “tier 3 characters new game format etc.” then the game just starts dropping, I’m thinking to myself, ok just some growing-pains right? But most unfortunately so begins my terrible experience with this game. “I’ve been playing over a year now I’m lvl 233” & yes I have reported my concerns/game issues many times but it has not been resolved. LGOH used to be real fun & for the first 175 lvls or so I had only minor connection hick-ups but game was pretty consistent. However it seemed the further I progressed in the game the more prevalent the dropping connection problem became. There is a problem with this Application or my Apple i6 so which is it? I don’t think it’s my cell. The game drops & drops & drops. There is something wrong with this game. Save your game time for something that is consistent. Save your money too because this game may say free but if you want to progress & be viable your going to pay. And then when game drops you are going to be pretty darn frustrated. ✓ A great game that got “fixed” too oftenThis used to be a fantastic game to play. Had everything: solid team play by building guilds who support each other, varied weekly events to keep it interesting, creative story lines with new heroes (cards) that kept it fresh. Still has guilds and events like guild vs guild challenges but basic game play has been wrecked with recent changes. Many long time players have left the game as a result. Check the day of the reviews when evaluating: older reviews were, sadly, way more positive than now. Developers stopped listening to the players and seemingly focused solely on ways to demand significant in game purchases in order to have any decent cards for an event. This is no longer a game the f2p players can enjoy. Even those who purchase the VIP option which gets players extra incentives and benefits aren’t getting a good return on that investment (and it’s a sizable investment at $2/:month). A year ago, this was a 5 star game. With recent changes, no longer that which is too bad. This was one of the best games I’ve ever played..Version: 3.6.4
✓ DO NOT BUYThis game is based around obtaining Cards (equivalent off characters), these are used in various games and events throughout. Every month there is a season event that is different every week. Meaning you need different cards pretty much every week. If you are free to play then realistically you have no chance. I am pay to play. You can buy cards on a tier system that are designed to allow good chance of succeeding in that weeks event… however the tiers get more expensive and go 1-7 at tier 7 you then stay at that and can buy multiple tier 7’s. It would cost about 20,000 gems to get to tier 7 which equates to approx £170. In the tiers there are always ultimate form cards that you pretty much need to do even ok in that event. The huge issue is even opening tier 7 the is still a very good chance not to obtain this card.. the drop rates are very poor and if like most that play this game it can make you addicted and spend a considerable amount of money. ✓ Great, but...I really enjoy this game. It’s a lot of fun and the art is amazing. My only issue is the in app purchases. This game has a new event every week. To participate in these events and climb leaderboards (and you can argue this but these decks are tailored to the event and unless you’re a veteran with a huge collection you have no chance) you are forced to buy the event packs. To my knowledge there’s always 3. It is about 20,000 gems so roughly 60,000 gems are needed per event. 12,500 gems will set you back about $160 AUD. You can save sure, but this means you are pretty much not participating for 3 months until you earn enough gems. Back to my point $850! For a deck... how is that justifiable? People are paying this! Not because they want to, probably not even because they can afford it, but because their desire to be first if far greater than their will power to say no. ✓ Money pit, at bestI gave the game 1 star. I’ve had it now for a little over a month, and I get the sense the the positive reviews were written within a few days of their authors’ getting the game. It was a lot of fun for the first couple of weeks, but once you are invested in the game it quickly becomes tedious due to the limitations of the “stamina to play” system it uses. Stamina does not scale with mission difficulty, and once you reach the elite missions it rapidly becomes a game of “finish a mission, wait a few hours for stamina to rebuild,” which sorta defeats the purpose of playing. The gear dungeons go from challenging to impossible overnight, and the pvp system is broken, routinely matching me against players’ teams with 2-5 times my team’s power (resulting in blocked or dodged attacks followed by a one-shot death, or more annoying still, having the “Thorns” defensive ability simply kill me with my own attacks on my second round). VIP memberships are costly, given the (minimal) overall benefit, and the only way to advance your cards is to use gemstones, which are awarded in a miserly fashion or purchased at considerable expense with real money. Having had both a paid (VIP) membership and purchased a gemstones package, I can say with some authority that unless you have considerable cash to waste, this game isn’t worth the time..Version: 1.13.1
✓ Superb game ruined by developer’s greedI’ve played this game for almost 9 months, and found it to be really fun and really addictive. The main issue I have is that every “upgrade” the developers have made in this time has made it harder for me to be competitive and earn the rewards promised. The reason? To earn these rewards at the rate required you almost certainly have to be a VIP player, which costs £30/month! And even then you’ll probably have to spend the same again if you want to buy all the items continually offered. Over the past 6-8 weeks I’ve seen a huge drop in active players - people are voting with their feet on this one. But, the most recent change, “New Dawn” has destroyed the game and made a large percentage of long time players very angry and, quite frankly, sad. Even with the settings to the minimum this game will drain a lot of your battery’s energy! Free to play, but pay to win at a rate of 40$ a month depending where you live. The game is polluted with a LOT of micro transactions! Progress is painfully slow and will require many, many hours of farming AND grinding. The story is short and the game revolves around 5 day events and the downtime is usually 4-5 days and recently it has been lowered 1 day. Unless you are a hardcore player event fatigue will set in quickly. You build your event deck with a raffle system that uses in game currency. Unfortunately for free to play players the rewards earned from the previous event won’t cover the expenses required to build a basic deck for the following event, even if you are in the high ranking guilds! You need to be lucky in order to get a decent card let alone a powerful one! What’s even more frustrating is that on the second tier you will get a basic low grade card made for the event that you will get easily one or two more of the same with a minimal amount of participation in the event. Taking this into consideration you will need to be in a guild to begin to enjoy the events, because what the game provides you with won’t get you far... Finally, the producers hide their heads in the sand when a in game problem occurs or server issues happen. Updates about issue resolution are few and far between. There have been many occasions that player feedback on problems or on how to make the game better and more enjoyable has been ignored by the producers. For some reason developers started playing with the gameplay making it near impossible to enjoy main events without investing a TON of real money into each one. ✓ Yippee... Another Puzzle Game...This lazy scheme-of-things is getting old. I mean, really. Get some original ideas for once. The first actually good puzzle-fighting game on the App Store was Puzzles & Dragons. That one game had me at "hello". ✓ Fun but becomes a choreWhen I first got into the game I had fun. There are various game modes to keep playing and keep things fun. The events keep new cards coming and ways to earn rewards for playing. The leader cards that boost based on event skills are nice and keeps deck building simple. Unfortunately, as the game wore on and changes started happening, it became more and more apparent that you had to spend money on overpriced premium currency to keep playing or stay at a decent position on the leaderboards. The entire game is built around you paying up for a small chance at getting the feature cards to do up to 7x, 10x, or 15x additional damage on events. Every single week is an event. At least if you didn’t have what it took to get the event deck you could grab the relic. Until the latest change where the relic went up to be 2400 gems as opposed to the 1000 which was easy to get from the previous event rewards. GvG is becoming over saturated with pay-to-win for ascended wardens and relics. Overall, the game is fun and some changes were good, rewards for participating in events are nice with the quests they implemented. The biggest glaring downside is how big of a money sink it is to try and keep up with weekly events and GvG unless you like getting beat every time in one or two hits. Yesterday they went and threw all of that out the window and have made the game extremely unfriendly for F2P & new players. They’ve even screwed over P2P, VIP subscribers, and whales. The communication on changes is absolutely horrendous and disheartening. I’ve played plenty of games to know when bugs and crashes happen, they get addressed immediately. If they don’t affect gameplay they get addressed in the next update. This game has had so many issues for months and instead of fixing it they just introduce more problems. They’ve made many promises and have not held true to them, mainly deck building. They’ve decided to add a new “type” saying this would of course help future deck building but has actually done the opposite. Drop rates are nowhere to be found and you aren’t guaranteed anything even when spending an arm and a leg. They push VIP constantly and have various dirty tricks to get you to accidentally spend your gems on something worthless, like skins. If you’re reading this, please, don’t even bother..Version: 3.6.4
✓ Great Game bad Catch on paymentWell once I joined the vip I removed the autobill so it didn’t automatically take 40 from my account.... now I can’t update unless I add another payment method.... so I guess it checks for access.... don’t contribute any money .... just play for free less bull.... now I can’t even get my VIP rewards until I reinitialize my payment method.... so I loose those too. ✓ Good for new players - don’t spend moneyThis game is very fun. There is a lot to learn and many game variations. You can keep busy for quite a while building your deck(s), it’s exciting to get new cards, and you have the chance to do that each week/event. The reason I say it is good for new players, is because that excitement wears off when your personal level (not card level) is maxed. Then it becomes the same events over and over. If you’re super competitive, it may still be fun, but becomes routine. You’ve read about the negative changes in LGOH and they are try statements. That relates to my next point. The reason I say don’t spend money is because every event, the deck that is necessary to compete at a decent level, requires the deck for that specific event - example, earth commanders, water slayers, etc. because of that, what you purchased prior, may not be effective. It also means that somebody just starting today could spend money and have a better event deck than somebody who has been playing for years. Lastly, the VIP hits max level early and the rewards have not changed. So, have fun and do t spend money, unless you have a lot. It may cost $300+ per week to get the event deck..Version: 3.8.1
✓ Would advise that you avoidThe game can be fun (hence the second star) but frankly it’s a rip off. The game requires real money to progress and the prices are jaw-dropping - I don’t think I’ve seen a game come close I am fortunate enough to be able to spend cash but after a couple of months as a VIP player I realised that it’s pointless. Thousands of pounds are needed for decent teams and anything less will leave you with a lot of cards forming low powered decks. Not only are the gems ridiculously expensive but they don’t even allow you to get what you want. Instead you simply pay cash for a chance at a card so you usually end up with trash instead. UR (ultra rare) cards are key to good decks but you have to pay for packs and hope to get lucky. Their latest event has removed the only chance (albeit a very low one!) of getting one free and replaced it with yet more nonsense involving getting a ‘chance’ at a good card. ✓ Waste of Time/shady companySpent hours trying this game after being offered crowns for trying it out. The company refused to pay the crowns so that says a lot about the honestly of the company. Game wise it is hard to understand what you are supposed to do to level up your characters. And more importantly, if you don’t pay up you won’t be able to level up your characters/battle cards. I spent hours/days reaching level 23. Sent lots of allies on searches for gold, cards, etc. I went on camp signs, fought with my guild but I never seem to be able to get the cards necessary to evolve my character. My cards are maxed at a very low level unless I pay to get the right cards to evolve them. So at max they do not have enough abilities to finish the monsters even though I also use a guild members help. All in all, I understand that companies have to make money. If they refuse to pay their advertising incentive that crosses a line. They need to run an honest business. Be prepared to feed the beast if you play this game. Not for me!.Version: 1.12.0

Unfortunately N3Twork has taken this to a whole new level and it really has sucked the fun out of this game. We paid real money to invest in the promised ‘forever decks’, and now they can’t even get us through one of the weekly events. Some I’ve liked, some not so much but it’s always been workable and the game has always been playable and enjoyable. ✓ A money pitThe thing this game does well is have guilds because that is why people stay. You form relationships with people and loyalty to them keeps you in the game. If they didn’t have that people would just leave. It is a complete money pit. ✓ Not bad - just need lots of time & moneyThis is a retrospective review. The match 3 system is fun and the artwork is pretty amazing. I had been playing this game for a year about 2 years ago and the guild I was in was super supportive. But events require you to be really dedicated to the game, almost playing regularly (like every few hours and not just short bursts of playing), to really compete, get higher up in event leaderboards for good rewards. That there is the first problem: you need to dedicate a lot of time to be good (if F2P). They tailor the game so that if you’re spending, you’re getting better: but then so is every other spender. ✓ Really disappointing and furstratingI have played this game for over 6 months. I have spend thousands of dollars on it. The game is really fun, however i spend hundreds of dollars on an event....i wont even start to mention how much time I put into it, and somehow i lost a relic. I contacted the customer support only for them to tell me that they looked at the logs and they cant find what happened. Also when i wrote back they ignore my emails. The customer support is a joke. Their customer satisfaction policies are non existent. I don’t think it’s fair for people who found the boss to not to be able to get their full hit in before someone else comes in and one-shots the boss. The raid should wait to show up on other people’s radars until after the founder is fully done with their first attack. My second idea is that- why do players have to clear away bosses that have already been killed (that they didn’t attack)? It’s the biggest waste of time and I don’t see why the game can’t clear away the dead bosses for us. Nobody cares abt seeing the results when they didn’t even receive anything. We’re just trying to move on to the next boss so we’re not wasting our time. The third idea is that people should be able to advance through the event crusades faster than having to do five levels of each tier. ✓ Was good now a cash grab.So at the start of the year before the big update you used to get the relic and main card in the event by earning it then spending diamonds to get the materials for leveling them. But oh no now you only get 1.2k diamond a event and that’s just enough to get a card in the event, the relics now cost 2.4k diamonds which is absurd. You basically can not do anything in the game now without spending a ridiculous amount of money. Every hour they have specials pop up for different items you can pay for and it’s just dumb. I know people who have dropped over 5k on this game and it’s not worth it. On the plus side customer support is really really good. But you guys really need to toss this pay to win crap out the door. ✓ ExpensiveThe game itself is pretty solid with well done graphical art. You can tell they made some good investments in this area. Game play also functions well, so I've no problems there. The guilds and the community also make this game a winner. Now the downside: The game has suffered from a tremendous amount of power creep over the past year and a half. It used to be a big deal to be able to hit for billions of HP in one turn. Now hundreds of billions (sometimes trillions) is the norm. This kind of power creep is not sustainable. You can be a VIP player, spend about $40 per month on this game, and still feel like getting the cards you need are well out of reach. I had a VIP subscription for a year. They recently made a bunch of changes to the game and branded it 3.0. I'd hate to say it, but the widespread perception is that it is another attempt to apply pressure to spend ever more money on cards with no assurance they will continue to be useful for competitive play much longer after the weekly event ends. N3twork needs to make their money just like any other game company, I totally understand that. But pay to win is not a rewarding experience, and good card sets seem to be ever more out of reach even to VIP players. ✓ Too expensiveHow hard they make it to get gems is ridiculous. You literally have to put out about 100$ per event to get any good cards and even then you’ll only get 1 or 2 maybe 3 if your lucky with a lot of worthless cards. This game would be the best thing out if they made it more easy to get gems. VIP is 30$ a month and the rewards are worthless for people who have obtained the higher tiers of gameplay. Evolving cards takes forever as there isn’t any rewarding features to get you the necessary items for doing so. Unless you buy gems and catalyst packs or other packs hoping you get some high lvl card that you can dust to spend on evolve shards. Dungeon rewards coins that you can spend on evolve material but only gives a low amount and the cost is high (can only attack once per day) and the cost of more keys is 500 gems per. Mind you 10$ only get you a measly 1150 gems. If your not someone who has a lot of money to throw away then this game isn’t for you, trust me. I’ve only been playing for a little over 2 months and I’ve already cancelled my VIP and decided not to spend another penny. ✓ !!!BEWARE NEW PLAYERS!!! Not the game it once was!This has been my go to game for the last year. The latest update has made the game nearly unplayable. N3TWORK purposely nerfed the power of all existing cards by changing the mechanics of building intensity and skill points during a battle. In essence this means that unless you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars per week on the new cards with the new mechanics you will not be able to compete. Without spending on the current generation of cards most event bosses will kill you in one hit. Based on what is being said by more veteran players, this is not the first time N3TWORK has done the exact same thing, though this is the most extreme example. This game is advertised as Freemium. That is a joke. You will HAVE to spend to compete! The developer has removed the only method to acquire high level heroes through gameplay. As an example, to get a guaranteed event hero through the pack system it likely will cost you $100 for a single card, a card that is not even that high of a level. There are 2 more powerful types of heroes beyond that level. Neither of which is ever guaranteed regardless of the amount of money you spend. In addition, none of the most powerful weekly event heroes can be attained through gameplay. EVER! Avoid this game for now! ✓ Borderline illegalStarted playing this game and was very soon to find out that you have to put thousands of dollars/pounds weekly into this game to have the weekly deck and for you to do any good in the game you will need them... The whole update is a kick in the nuts for players who don’t want to spend loads. Not to mention stripping the variety out of the commander event by removing the ultimate bosses as well as the over and ultra kill spawns. I’m over this game, N3twork would rather squeeze remaining players for more money instead of making the game better/fairer so more people want to play. ✓ Downhill, like all once great games.I’ve played almost two years. I’ve spent money. I’m a VIP. I’m a guild leader. This game has been my go-to for so long that leaving it feels like a death in the family. Unfortunately, as with all great games, the developers cannot seem to leave well enough alone. Game play that used to be seamless and fun is now geared towards nothing but making money for the devs. Now, I’m not against them making money. I’ve spent my fair share, but it’s getting beyond ridiculous. You simply can no longer advance if you don’t spend tons of money. ✓ Great in theoryThe theory behind this game is amazing! A great gem matching game combined with a fantasy game play that you can play for hours. In reality it is just a money grabbing scheme by the developers who rope you in and then continually make hidden changes that screw over any player who is not a millionaire and can not afford to spend £1000 a week on buying cards that mean you can be even a little bit competitive. ✓ Game update ridiculousI’ve played this game for at least half a year now and I can honestly say I really enjoyed playing, even signed up for vip and gem packs. However since this new update I will no longer be wasting any money. ✓ Daylight RobberyAvoid this game at all costs. I have played for nearly 2 years and have seen the game change from a fun free to play game into A game which you have to spend at least £150 each week to get worthwhile decks. But those worthwhile decks aren’t worth anything after the events end. The dust and various currencies you have worked hard to save for the last 4 - 6 months to buy event master and ultra rare cards with is now worth nothing. The developer decides to completely change the game without any notice. You just wake up and all the time and money you have invested for the last 2 years has been a complete waste. ✓ Money PitI hope people take the time to read this and that it makes sense and hopefully saves them a lot of frustration. Don’t waste your time. The game suckers you in but then spits in your face once you get invested and try to earn some of the higher level cards. The events a designed so you get 75% or so of the components needed to craft the higher level card for the event but then you need to pay roughly $80 to buy the rest of the components needed to craft the card. They loot box system is set up in levels so for example: the first tier will only cost you 240 gems but the items are trash, so you need by tier 2 which costs 560 gems and also doesn’t contain the crafting mats you need. Finally you get to tier 5 at 3200 gems after buying tiers 2&4 before you finally get those last 2 materials needed to craft the card. Assuming you have 0 gems to start with, this process would cost you $80 US, as you would need over 7k gems so you would need to by 2 of the $40 packs. All of this for just one card..Version: 2.2.2

However over the last year the divide between free and paid players has been steadily growing. With the last set of changes they have made it is next to impossible to accomplish anything without committing a significant sum of money each week. ✓ Not completely awfulIt’s basically candy crush with a battle element thrown in. Though without spending shed loads of money you’re never going to get close to the top. ✓ Was a decent gameThe december updates absolutely killed it. The devs removed “the vault” and replaced it with the old style card packs, which generally churn out totally useless heroes. The entire event system was overhauled, making the bosses insanely difficult to kill even at lower levels. You get one shot, often, so you can’t even charge up specials. The method of gaining event heroes was also changed to a much worse system. Most of the heroes you already owned are now useless against these new event bosses too. ✓ Game is dying due to devs greedThe last event on this game cause major complaints, you can buy items for gems which it is possible to earn but you can buy too, on the last event the cost of a relic (which you use to help your cards) more than doubled ! we had already noticed that there were flash sales happening where you could buy thing to improve cards or previously issued event cards, the flash sales have become more numerous and they have started selling items people have taken weeks and weeks to collect the pieces for so they could make them, they are on this event selling gem packs with bonus gem to try and get you to buy them - all in all the game unless something drastic happens is on its way out and with the amount of people cancelling VIP membership it can only get worse as their revenue drops, it’s a shame as this use to be a fun game.Version: 3.3.5
✓ HorribleIt’s ridiculous how you try get event characters. The game, you can earn diamonds when you level up of finish a map.. but those will disappear QUICKLY. They have special events for you grind your hardest and you will get duplicate master runes for these 13x or nothing at all. You can craft for them but you need a lot of material to get it, which is actually difficult because you rarely receive any materials to craft for these events. I’ve pushed myself to like this game and it’s not sitting pleasant. The guild I joined has way higher level players than me and they can’t even get the special event characters. So, me, being a low level player see that the seasoned players can’t even achieve what I’m trying to achieve, has no hope for me in the future. ✓ Great game/ annoying bugsIPhone 6 Plus/ latest iOS update Game is so much fun. Bug 1: When I watch an ad to revive in battle the ad freezes for the duration but the audio continues playing. ✓ Not worth your time. Or moneyI’ve been playing for over a year. The game was fun. Graphics are cool. However. At the beginning of the year, the mechanics of purchasing and winning the weekly event cards changed. Let me explain: every week a new event starts, each event has a brand new deck of six hero cards and at least two relic cards. If you want to beat the weekly boss, and be a top contender, you have to have all six heroes and both relics. And the hero cards aren’t just purchased, you have to build enough materials to create them. And some of them you can only get from the luck of a draw, you can’t even grind for them. You could easily spend more than $100 weekly on trying to get enough materials to create the event cards and still not have spent enough money to get the cards needed to be able to be competitive in the events. Once the event is over, the hero cards and relics lose most, if not all, of their relevance and potential. Let me emphasize, these events are weekly and to win in the higher echelons, you have to spend a lot of your hard earned money. ✓ Worst pay to play game EVERThe greedy developers of this game recently revamped the entire play structure of this game, making player card inventories (purchased through Apple with real currency’s) absolutely worthless. Even worse, special currency won in weekly events and saved for many months to buy super “Ultimate Form” mega hero cards were suddenly made worthless, representing losses of hundreds of dollars invested by some players in the weekly tournaments offered in game. There was no warning about a phase out. One day you had a collection you had been investing in each week and building on its value by spending real dollars on it, and the next day it was rendered worthless when the hero’s you were saving to buy were removed from the game. It is like going to the bank to find that your savings account had been confiscated by the bank when they decided they will only service checking accounts going forward! Outrageous! Highly repetitive and ludicrously expensive app. I have been playing this game for over a year and I am ashamed to say that I bought the VIP subscription ($30/month). This is the most egregious app I have ever come in contact with in the sense of value. In terms of in game currency, my subscription afforded me extremely little, event decks roll out weekly for an additional fee of hundreds of dollars and that’s only for a CHANCE to receive the cards. I have spent $100+ just to receive one card ON TOP of my $30/month and received no useful cards as a result. I contacted support and (and SEVERAL DAYS LATER) they simply said we have made some updates in the past but we can’t control what cards you receive. This game is a money hole and a waste of resources. UPDATE: I am fairly certain there are a lot of fake 5 star reviews for this game and when you write a negative review they respond with a a few stock responses saying either they cannot verify your account or to send an email explaining what went wrong. ✓ ScamThe game is fun for a while if you get in a good guild but I was promised about $13 to play it from Money App which uses some advertising service to pay people to try games. It never registered correctly with money app and I contacted them and the advertisers and of course they said there is nothing they can do. So I figured let's see how good the support is for this game, surely if I explained the situation they would be able to help by giving me some in game currency which costs them NOTHING and makes me at least feel less like I've been the victim of a cyber crime. ✓ Costs too muchUp until 2 weeks ago Legendary Game of Heroes was hard done by with a rating of only 4.5 but changes made are having me wondering how long until it gets uninstalled. Gameplay is great and always has been. Most changes have been good for the game and when they haven’t been the developers have always reacted quickly to rectify. It has always been cash for play intensive but if you bought the VIP membership and the daily gem pass it used to self perpetuate very well for around $70 a month .... not any more. Changes made to the relic purchasing have gone from 1000 gems to get the first event relic to 2400 gems which will cost you an extra $31 (AU) per week which I have gotten for the last 2 weeks for zero value other than the relic. $190 a month is too much for me .... it’s only a game. I know there has been a big backlash from the first week but they have persisted but without the compensation relics from the first week. ✓ I love this game BUT it hangs.Soooo many times now this game slows to a jerky crawl when a battle begins and becomes unresponsive. I’ve lost so many dungeon tokens and PVP or GVG or event keys, some of which were bought with jewels. It’s so incredibly frustrating. It’s actually an amazing game, with layers of complexity, addictive potential and a cheeky sense of humour. But it’s not functioning properly. Seemingly at random to the point where you can barely move and a 5 minute match turns into a frustrating half hour.
