Gymatic Workout Tracker for Negative User Reviews

Stopped working. No response from customer serviceThe app worked okay previously but now is very buggy and doesn’t work. The app has defaulted to my weight being incorrectly 14 lb on the settings. I am unable to change this incorrect weight in settings. The app now also keeps incorrectly calculating calories. For example a 1 hour intense workout burning 9 cals. The app is also continually crashing. I would avoid and use a functioning app or at least one with a responsive customer service.Version: 4.7.3

I tried desperately... but it actually HINDERED MY WORKOUTI was, until 1 minute ago— our if frustration, just canceled premium. Maybe in some distant future this app will work but the “auto-dect” is crazy. It’s is accurate maybe 15% the other 85% I was deleting erroneous sets that came from nowhere, many times, I was just standing. The settings don’t work properly either... ie; I “turned off auto detect” to “promote to learn” it still auto detected. The interface is very complicated as well, I am not a genius but I have created small office networks so I know technology OK and this was for me, very “unintuitive.”.Version: 4.6.3

MehGood idea, and a great app when it works. Kicks me out of workouts and loses track of last completed exercise since last update.Version: 4.8.5

Almost works, but watch app is far too automatedThe guiding is very nice, but there needs to be a bit more manual control. The motion tracking simply doesn't work well enough and it's too easy to get the workout off track (it adds an extra set or thinks I'm done before I actually am done) and I can't figure out how to go back. It also would be nice to have the ability to take notes.Version: 4.5.1

Abandoned AppBroken and abandoned. No way to use the app without subscribing and subscribing no longer works or is offered..Version: 4.9

Shows a lot of promise but still needs workSince upgrading form my Series 0 watch the user experience has improved greatly and it’s very quick to navigate the app and update weights etc. So much so I upgraded to premium. As mentioned by other reviewers though, there is still an issue with false positives. There is still no way to avoid. Mistakenly identified movement being added to the database if it thinks you’ve carried out an exercise. This means I’ve lost the history on a number of exercises I had to delete as they kept recording in error. This issue defeats a lot of the benefit I would otherwise get form the app..Version: 4.6.3

Crashes every time!Keeps crashing as soon as I try to start a workout on the watch. Shame as it has potential..Version: 4.3.5

Do NOT download this app. They don’t honor anything“You have unexpired premium membership” that’s what my account is because when I bought it it wasn’t subscription based. Now, they want to charge to see the instructional videos. It is complete B.S. that they made me pay for something and now it is like oh wait, now you have to pay again monthly for the same stuff you already paid for for life membership. It is dishonest and I am filing a complain with Apple and the FTC regardless if it might be a waste of time and they don’t do anything about it. I just think I feel morally obligated to report these actions..Version: 4.7.3

Buggy and won’t synchBy the time I’ve managed to synchronise the workouts created on my phone to my watch, I’ve lost the will and most of the time I have to actually work out..Version: 4.8.5

Nice little appI've always needed something to track my gym workout and this app does it pretty well. It learns from your movement in 'FreeForm' mode and as long as you know the proper name for your different exercises you should be fine. This mode, from what I can tell, requires your phone as well. There are some settings that mean that you can leave your phone in the locker (or wherever!) but you must first sync workouts from your phone (well, the Gymatic app on your phone). I have found the app very good at learning my moves and it has also enabled me to time my rest periods more exactly. The metrics that you get from this app (once fully paid for) are amazing. I get lots of data about form and speed of Rep as well as other things. The one downside is the price. A 4.99 to 6.99 might be a better price point! All in all a nice little app that has added to my exercise regime..Version: 4.0

Detection reliability doesn’t work any moreWatch constantly detects motion that’s not happening. Fills my routine with 2/3 garbage. Disappointing as it was great a couple years back.Version: 4.6.3

Best app out there when it works. Unfortunately it goes days without working.I have been using this app as my main workout app for 5 years. I love the customization, the watch app telling you next thing to do and heart rate. And the tracking and easy of changing a workout, set or rep. Unfortunately, there are periods when it just does not work. This year I have had 2-3 times where the app opens but nothing works. Log out and back in and says server issues. If you like to workout daily and your app you use to track these workouts decides to stop working for 2-5 days straight, it becomes frustrating. When this happens more then a few times, it’s unacceptable. So this week I will look for anther app and build my workouts in that app. Thank you for a great 5 years but time to move on. . ..Version: 4.10

Good app but could be betterThe app does a reasonable job of tracking your exercises, although it frequently gets the count wrong or misidentifies an exercise as something similar. If ever you change your iPhone or Apple Watch it will be a painful experience trying to get the watch app working properly again, allow yourself at least an hour for this..Version: 4.6.3

Can’t see it on my watch!Every other app that’s watch compatible shows immediately on my watch. This one is missing and I can’t seem to find a way to put it on. Searching the app in the Watch app offers me an “open” option which then opens the phone app. Definitely awol on my Apple watch Shame, came with good recommendations.Version: 4.3

Waste of timeLiterally! 2/3 the way through a work out the app refreshes and list all my progress. Given that I use this to sync with Health Kit and calorie intake with my fitness pal I’ve just wasted a day and have to estimate. I’m going back to FitList, I had no issues with that. Avoid!.Version: 4.4.0

Excellent app that has a lot of issuesThis app was so nice that I upgraded to premium on a whim. But after using it for a while, I realise at the moment it's not worth more than 1 star. Although it has a great potential, it crashes a lot so you won't be able to really use it. You want to add an exercise, it crashes, you want to edit, it crashes, for whatever task you can think of... it crashes. You will be literally wasting time at gym trying to get the app to work. Also it has a few important shortcomings. Firstly, you cannot add warm-up before your workout or rest time after each set. Secondly, if the app counts wrong reps of your workout you cannot edit! Thirdly, it would be nice to log speed and incline level for running rather than weight(!) which does not make sense. I will update this review as the app updates..Version: 4.3.5

Nice concept but a lot of annoying flaws.I like the idea and to an extent it works. However a lot of the time it syncs only a couple of exercises per workout to my phone. My daily activity can’t be logged as a workout so I have no data to go off without diving deep into the app. Detects the slightest motion even if you filter it. Doesn’t count my reps properly. Always 1-3 behind me. Annoying having to keep going into the app to delete exercises I didn’t do as it picked a random movement up..Version: 4.8

Stopped workingLove the app. It’s a bit clunky, but it does exactly what I want it to do… except that a few days ago it stopped working and I can’t find anything about it online. No website, no social media, nothing. Tried submitting a trouble ticket through the app… nothing. I can’t create routines or update what workouts are on my watch and I’m afraid to try uninstalling and reinstalling because if I can’t log back in, then I’m out all of my workouts I’ve been creating over the past couple of years. Hoping to get a response though here, because my membership renews in a couple of days and as of right now, I’m going to be looking for a new app..Version: 4.10

Won't work with apple watchI've tried everything but the app won't appear on the watch. iPhone only is not desirable!.Version: 4.6.3

Unable to use and no supportAfter an upgrade on my phone and having forgotten my password to log in the app is now unusable, had tried a password reset 20 times yet no reset password ever came (not even in junk/spam) so tried support .... surprise no response ... poor support and clearly don’t care about the end user... perhaps they will refund my monies if they ever respond ..:..Version: 4.6.3

Clever but inaccurate. When using with the watch, it's very clever that it is able to automatically recognise *some* exercises based on your movement, and count the reps. But I have been experiencing issues with missing workout and the app in general seems a bit unreliable. For example, I just did a hard full body machine workout for 30mins, but the Apple Activity app shows I've only burned '5 active calories'?! Seems not all the data is getting through..Version: 3.3

Can’t paste my password on loginIt’s almost 2018, this missed feature is going to risk your integrity and customers passwords strength. Get real.Version: 4.3.9

Does not workI bought the full premium and it does not work series 2 watch - don't bother and save you money..Version: 2.0.2

Great when it worksGenerally great, aside from the few weeks when I couldn’t even log in.Version: 4.10

UI Sucks. You literally have another app with a great UI, the “Personal Trainer” one. It’s been years; can we get an update on that front? Seriously, you guys have such great tech on your hands. Don’t you guys ever wonder how why you’ve never been the “Editor’s Pick,” while these other, near featureless apps get all the front page glory? Sure, you’re always in the top lists, but you’re never number one, and really, I’ve literally tried every pro app there is, it’s not like there’s a ton of competition. IT’S YOUR UI. It’s underwhelming, and looks like a first-draft, or proof-of-concept. Apple Watch UI is fine, but seriously, if you guys want to be taken seriously as a force to be reckoned, then please, for the love of God, give this thing a well-deserved facelift..Version: 4.6.3

Annoying bugThis is a great app that’s marred by a really annoying bug. I use the watch version in guided mode and have set up a few workouts. Every so often (and it’s not infrequently) I’ll start a workout and realize that the first set is taking way too long. Check the timer and see that it hasn’t moved. I try to end the workout but only have the option to pause. I uninstall the app from the watch and reinstall and we’re back to normal. This would be a 5-star app if it were reliable but, as it is, it’s too much of a pain. Last thing I need when I’m doing my morning session is to spend time futzing with my watch..Version: 4.4.4

Thought I found THE AppGot excited but first use already started giving frustration. I see others give same complaints. It will NOT remember the workouts you have entered. The next day again it prompts you to “teach” it what workout you are doing. You work out hard and it only registers part of your workout reps. Some it simply doesn’t record at all. No record you did the workout. If you slow down, the app thinks you have taken a break and starts a second set even though you are still in the same one set. I tried for several days, contacted app creators thee times. Today I give up and delete the App..Version: 4.9

Dead endWork like a charm until trial end. Then “subscribe to premium” pop up and whatever you do, you can’t get rid of it. Subscribed for premium for one month, then for a whole year and it make no difference. They took the money, but still want me to subscribe and wont allowed to continue. Customer support do not exist. Call to apple and request refund is only option left. Clever idea, terrible implementation..Version: 4.8.1

So much potential yet so horribleIt's broken. That's it. Wearing this "tracker" on several basic exercises proved to be unable to detect anything Even set the Apple Watch on wake to previous activity and 70 seconds screen time. Doesn't work. If the app is updated to work this could get a 4 or 5 stars. Very disappointed..Version: 0.9.0

No luck so farThe general idea seems amazing. I bought the annual pro and with started my 7 day trial. My first workout in and it wasn’t exactly what I hoped for. I might not be understanding this but while following the core workout with my Apple Watch it seems to either count 0 reps or every other one. I ended up having to double up and in some cases triple my exercises with it still being inaccurate. I’m hoping this will get more accurate with more use but it may not be for me if this doesn’t calibrate and match up with what I’m doing..Version: 4.4.5

Good could be betterGood app, needs improvement like being able to export your workout numbers and send to someone or compare yourself. Picks up all motion on the Apple Watch which is annoying. Can be super sensitive takes a bit to figure out..Version: 4.6.3

It's okWhen it works it's ok but some small features are lacking such as you need to define weight prior to starting the exercise and changing weight during the exercise via the watch requires a lot of fiddling for every set. It's also started closing randomly on the watch as I'm working out meaning I lose all the work out data. I've stopped using it now since I don't know whether it'll die before I complete my work out or not. It's ok to use on the phone only but the kind of defeats the purpose..Version: 3.3

Not worth the troubleI was about to buy the pro version but this app really not deserve buying it. The app work fine the 1 day and after that the problem started. Not log the workout remain saying los in progress not close the app but in reality I’m never finished doing it. Uninstall and reinstall and now I’m not able to log in in the app. Thanks that I was still in the free trial and can cancel it before the charge. The app never let me sign in agains and not give any error , just stay in the same page as login . So if you want to try an one day app this is it ..Version: 4.10

WarningI found it very difficult to unsubscribe from the premium feature. Be cautious and watch to make sure it actually cancels!.Version: 4.6.3

Terrible appIn theory, this is a great app, but in practice it is terrible. It counts reps while I’m running, instead of just looking at the time. Sometimes it just doesn’t start counting reps. Other times it starts me off on a different machine while I am walking to my next machine. I just upgraded my Apple Watch, and thought it would get better., But it is much much worse. Everything lags so much, that it is unusable. And the only thing worse than the app is the customer service. I sent two emails, with no response. Do not get this app. Maybe it works with other devices, but not with an Apple Watch..Version: 4.9

Best Workout App- End of DiscussionUpdate 2: one bug was fixed and replaced with another. Now when I start a freeform workout from my Apple Watch, I can’t stop it once I’m done. The only option to pause. I can’t to power my watch down to stop the program from running. And of course the entire workout was recorded, so frustrating! Update: I originally ranked this 5 stars but for the past few weeks I keep getting the same error that my logs weren't saved. Even after resetting the app, the same result occurs. I do not see an effective way to seek tech support and therefore must lower this app to 3 starts until this problem is fixed. This is the Best Workout App for me; End of Discussion. I've been using this app since I got my Apple Watch about a month ago. I've used it twice a day everyday. It has learned my routine and has become more accurate with the rep count. I just open the app on my Apple Watch, start a season and it recognizes the exercise I'm doing and records the reps. It's that easy. You can't go wrong with this app. I tried the other apps but this app beat them by a mile and offered everything I needed for my workouts..Version: 4.3.9

Great potential. Poor execution. When I first started using the app on my Apple Watch, I thought it was great, so went ahead and purchased Premium. However I quickly realised there’s still a lot of work needed w respect to how it tracks and learns exercises. It’s great at figuring out when you’re actually doing a lift (eg it could tell when I did an exercise, and training it on that motion was easy and consistent). However, in between exercises it drove me mad! I’d finish a bench press and walk three feet (hands down by my side) and it’d ping my wrist and ask “did you just do a bicep curl?” No! I was walking... And it would do this every time I did any consistent non-workout motion..... drink some water - “did you do a pull up?” No! In short, it became a chore and distraction during my workout, having to constantly monitor what it thought I was doing; and even then it got things wrong in the log at the end, requiring further manual edits. AND TO TOP IT OFF, after my second workout using the app, I went to sync to my phone and it only transferred half the workout. The rest was lost to the ether. In short, great concept, but poor delivery, so I’ve cancelled my premium subscription. My Garmin watch nails it 110% of the time w zero errors and no training, so the AI / capacity exists - just not with this app. Side note, with my MBA hat on... thinking about the business model here of a monthly subscription for an app that runs solely on a phone / watch (no cloud as far as I can tell). What ongoing service are you providing to warrant a monthly / unending charge? Wouldn’t a one-off £20 cost be a better approach (once you’ve worked out the bugs)?.Version: 4.6.3

New update far too sensitiveThere was a recent update which was Supposed to improve movement tracking - it has Infact done the complete opposite and you can’t even move your hand without it picking up an exercise - very frustrating during a workout when you have to keep deleting incorrect sets.Version: 4.5.1

Don’t botherFree version is a waste of time. You can only add 4 exercises..Version: 4.4.4

Terrible don’t download lots of bugs and costs the same as way better appsDon’t download.Version: 4.8.5

CrashesWhile doing update on the go during exercise the app crashes frequently. This is one of the reason ai have not bought the paid version of this app..Version: 4.8.5

The app is just okThe app has roughly 20 pre installed workout routines. You can create a routine yourself, but it’s a bit of a pain. There was once instructional videos that showed you how to perform each exercise, but the website the app link to is now requiring a membership to see those videos that were once free to watch. The watch app does an ok job and keeping track of your reps and will occasionally switch sets without user input once you have completed your reps. Normally you have to tap the watch to switch sets. The watches count is also off a little. If I’m doing 20 reps I usually hit 21 or 22 before it lets me know that I hit 20, and that’s with exercises that it has “learned” my movements for. So, is this the best weightlifting app... probably not. There is definitely room for improvement..Version: 4.7.3

New Registration Req'dI've been using this app for years, and I've really been liking it. Today, I open it up and can't use it without registering for an account, which does collect data according to the terms of service and privacy policy. Both documents also state that registration is *optional*, but the registration screen cannot be bypassed, so the app is no longer usable. All of my old workouts are now inaccessible..Version: 4.9

Great but....- You can’t set the MaxHR, it pretends to let you, but then it doesn’t stick - the Apple Watch advances to the next set/workout automatically even if you turn off that option - the voice for HR on the watch doesn’t work half the time.Version: 4.4.5

Great ideaI like this app and it does work well at counting reps automatically. It also supports supersets which is a nice feature (although adding a rest at the end of the superset would be good). On the negative side, if you’re doing an exercise it can’t count (like leg curl for example) it counts the time as resting. It’s also slightly buggy...it keeps reverting back to lbs no matter how many times I set it to kgs! It is really irritating having to keep changing it every time I open the app! Sort these and it will be a great app..Version: 4.4.4

Subscribe and then subscribe some moreLooking for alternative to Gymaholic and this looked great - more exercises plus rep counting. BUT not only do you have to subscribe to the app to see any info on the exercises they demand a second subscription to view the information about exercises making it ridiculously expensive.Version: 4.8.1

Wasted my time!Free app....NOT. I downloaded the app and it looked good. Lots of workouts included. It allowed me to even create my own and sync with my Apple Watch. I spent 2 hours creating my own sets of workouts, then synced them. I went to the gym excited to try it out, and as soon as I tried to start, it said I had to sign up for a 7-day trial. Very upset that I wasted my time and got to the gym but the app never indicated that I would have to sign up before using it. It would have been nice to know before or during the 2 hours wasted creating my own workouts. Looks like a good app but I feel purposely deceived. Deleting.......Version: 4.4.5

Great functionality but really needs a design upgradeGreat functionality but needs a serious UI upgrade it make to enjoyable to use on both Phone and Apple Watch. It needs bringing into 2022s standards..Version: 4.9

Absolutely Painful to Set UpSetup is mindboggling. Don't think that you're going to take it to the gym and use it on its first day. It shows promise but still takes far more effort than simply writing down your reps and sets. And why should I be required to "set up an account" or use Facebook to login?? I have a rather powerful computer in my pocket and on my wrist; I shoudn't need to send my data to an (unauthorized!) server. If you want t try it it, use the free version, jump through all the damn hoops first then see if it's worth buying. I'll let you know if I get there..Version: 2.0.3

PoorGlitchy. Slow to load exercise menu. Wouldn’t sync with watch. Couldn’t even get one workout. Wasted 1 hour in the gym trying to make it work - avoid.Version: 4.10

Very glitchy and doesn’t work right! This app is not reliable at all. Half the time it will not log workout from Apple Watch to app, “can’t upload file that doesn’t exist locally.” Get to the end of the work out and it will glitch and erases the entire workout. When building your own workout, it will decide the name for the specific exercise is an error and won’t except it even if you use the name given by the app. Just had a lot of problems and doesn’t work right. UPDATE, deleted the app from Apple Watch and phone and reinstalled to see if it would work properly, now it won’t install back to Apple Watch..Version: 4.8.5

Doesn’t workI was really excited about this App as it is something I have been looking for for a while but could never find. I was a little put off by the price as I feel it is really expensive but I thought.... there is a trail so I will give it a go. Thank god there is a tail is all I would have to say as if I had paid money for this I would be asking for it back after my first workout. The App doesn’t work at all. The Apple Watch app gets stuck on the sync workouts page and won’t start tracking the workout. After 10 minutes of trying to make it work I gave up and went back to the old App which I have to enter the reps into after every set. Not ideal but at least there are no glitches. This app has loads of potential and if it worked well I think I would have swallowed the cost but unfortunately it does.... at all. At least I have money now for magic Protein potions..Version: 4.3.7

Good days and bad daysThis app has the potential to be the greatest thing to happen the gym!!!! Most of my exercises are tracked nearly perfectly when I use the app on my watch. However, once in a blue moon, the app will have a bad day. It will jump to the next exercise 3 reps into a set. This is frustrating during some exercises like squats. The app will let “undo” if it moves ahead on its own. But you only have 3 seconds to tap that little button. That is not happening weighted out under the bar. If you do not catch it in time. There is no going back or fixing it live in then app. If you go to hit undo, and you are just a hair late, you have now just hit the finished exercise area on the watch. So you just skipped two sets. The second mistake can be “undone”. But the first is now uneditable. You can select to move ahead with a different exercise, but you can not select which set #. So if it skips set two of a particular lift, or thinks it detects a different exercise, and you try to go back to the original lift, but you cannot tell it which set you want to do. It will automatically start you at set 3. Until the AI of the program is better I think the user should have an option to let the use manually Mark when each exercise is finished. And can we get a permanent undo button located away from the finished set area?.Version: 4.7.1

Amazing motion tracking...but that’s it.This is a good app for tracking your motion and recognition of exercises. It’s so nice to not have to keep logging info during a workout but unfortunately the convenience stops there. Unfortunately it’s not 100% accurate and usually misses a rep in the beginning and at the end. Unfortunately there is room for improvement for editing exercises from the watch, it is cumbersome to keep fixing the auto log and there’s no way to bulk update or go back a set. The way the app works it’s very easy to accidentally log a set and you have to go back and delete them and re-add them. If this could get cleaned up it would be easier to use the auto log feature The worst part of the app is the guided workouts. They have no guide without using the internet to go to a website that explains them but it would be easier to google it at that point. No instructions transfer to the app or the watch and it really makes the app harder to use for an entire workout. They seem to have ignored a lot of the guidance so you already need to know what you’re doing before getting into this app..Version: 4.4.0

Tricky to use and pointless for velocity based liftsThe USP of this app is that it tracks velocity of the lift and yet it doesn’t work on the iPhone (only on Apple Watch) and it doesn’t offer any way to track the velocity of EACH lift. In fact the only way to track each rep is after the workout has finished in the iPhone app which misses the point somewhat. It shows the average velocity of the set just completed in the watch app but again after the event - the point of VBT is to sense a drop in velocity on a rep by rep basis. The watch app is tricky to use. It’s more about trial and error which gets infuriating after a while because the buttons and long presses to achieve whatever it is you want to achieve are not logical. Lots of ghost reps and it won’t start the next set if you set a fixed rest period while building the workout in the iPhone app. Next to useless in my opinion and there are better apps to trust reps and sets in the traditional style..Version: 4.8.5

Almost...This app is such a good idea and has a lot of potential but, in my opinion, it is still at beta stage. In my experience it tracks better in Free-form than in Guided mode but it still misses reps and /or adds phantom sets. I hope it will get there and would pay for it but not as it is and not on a subscription model..Version: 4.4.3

Great potential but ultimately uselessApp doesn’t do what it says it will. Can’t add workouts anymore. Doesn’t save content. Doesn’t remember settings. Sync issues with Apple Watch. Massive time waster. Also, customer support was useless and actually flat out refused to fix my problem or help me..Version: 4.4.5

BuggyI have the pro version to use on my watch and when it runs out I’m seriously considering not renewing. If it worked properly, this would be a great app but I just have multiple problems with it. Firstly it’s not always accurate at counting reps. I frequently have to adjust them, often it ends my set because of a longer pause to catch my breath and misses reps. I then have to manually alter them when I add the weight. Often, I select the weight on my watch and it doesn’t keep the weight I selected and I have to go back and do it again. Even if I do that when I look back at the phone app, I can see it doesn’t actually reflect what I entered, some are right and other sets are not. Also the watch doesn’t retain the weight from my last time doing that workout. I wrote feedback to the developer and they told me to uninstall both, reinstall and resync. I’ve done this multiple times and it hasn’t fixed the issue. I replied back telling the developer this and they’ve pretty much ignored me. I can’t repeatedly do this install / uninstall/ sync every time I work out. Relatively unimpressed with the poor customer service for a paid app..Version: 4.6.3

Constantly doesn’t save my resultsMy numbers constantly wouldn’t update after a workout and I’d lose valuable information on my progress. I had a premium subscription and emailed the developers with my problem and never got a response..Version: 4.3.6

Apple Watch won’t shut upEvery time i finish a set my Apple Watch says “10 reps” so the whole gym turns around and looks at me like I’m an idiot. Meanwhile I have my Appel headphones on. Can’t figure out how to turn this stupid feature off so cancelling my subscription..Version: 4.4.5

Good use of tech but not good overalI really wanted to like this app. It has the beginnings of features that really aught to be standard in all Apple Watch gym apps. But the execution isn’t there yet. I’d like to offer 4 stars for effort, but in the end the functionality is worse than a good phone based app. Heart rate zones are not adjustable for you as an individual. This is important because if you know your actual values through testing, there could be a as much as a 20 bpm difference between your actual values and what the app says. Your zones change as you increase or decrease fitness. Pretty important to be able to adjust these values; if you want your app to reflect you rather than a population average. The automatic detection of exercise is pretty impressive. But has lots of draw backs. You’re going to end up manually entering a fair chunk of your exercises anyway, because if your watch doesn’t move, like in cable kickbacks.. you’re left with entering manually. You could invent unique wrist flicks for these exercises.. essentially training special moves to inform the motion sensors. Myself.. not interested. Not only does that defeat the purpose, but I would be going out of my way to accommodate that gap. I want an app to be as unobtrusive as possible. Not requiring workarounds. I was also disappointed in not easily being able to see how many sets I had done when using free mode. You have to scroll down through your workout and count all the sets manually if you’re doing a circuit. You also can’t easily see your previous workouts values (sets, reps, weight) within the workout you’re doing. Essential info to prep yourself and to assess how you’re doing compared to last time. The ability for the app to display the velocity of your reps is awesome. I was very excited about this. But you can’t easily compare your previous values to what you just did, with out a lot of clicking and scrolling and trying to memorize what you just saw.. the comparable values are not displayed side by side, making their executable value about ... zero. Nice metric. But displayed in a non-contextual manner. What this app can do on the watch shows great promise. But fancy looking metrics are just shiny objects if they’re not available for pragmatic decision making. My last workout ended up having me hit the pause button so I could complete the other side of a single side exercise and not have the set counted twice. — counting left and right hip flexor exercises as two sets instead of one complete set of left and right once each. It also had me manually entering all the moves the watch can’t detect. This has no advantage over manually entering data into the phone. It’s true I have a push - pull Day where the Watch gets almost everting, which is nice. But I’m still manually entering changes in weight. All in all, the detailed comparison between successive workouts isn’t there, and there are still too many shortcomings in the execution of the tech. I was enamored by app, but now that I’ve used it for several workouts under different circumstances, I can see it doesn’t keep up with my needs. I’ve been a gym rat for over 30 years, and have trained many athletes in many sports (coaching since late ‘80’s) and have experience in the exercise lab. I am definitely wanting an app like this to fulfill its potential, but for now it’s not there yet and so I’m canceling subscription and going back to a phone app..Version: 4.3.9

Error in registrationI cannot use the app because if I select Facebook the app crash and close... and I went online and change my password to enter entering email and password... I receive an error message in the app... simply annoying.Version: 2.0.0

Won’t let me sign up or Sign In with AppleThis app seemed like a great idea for keeping me on track in the gym. However, it would be great if I could actually use Apple to sign up and sign in. Once the app prompts me to use Face ID to sign using Apple, it crashes and won’t actually sign me in and gives me the log in page again. If that could be fixed then I will give it a fair shot. But for now it has to be 1 star..Version: 4.9

So-soIt does some things very well. Amazingly accurate counting of reps…. But a couple of super annoying issues. It switches to the next set sometimes in what feels randomly. I would love to turn this off and rely on a tap from me but can’t seem to find a way to do this. Also, need the option when it does this to scroll back to the set I’m still on. A little more work would make this app awesome. In the meantime, I’m still looking. Hope the developers will add a few features..Version: 4.10

Can’t sync changes to a guided workoutSo many bugs. Just kill the app if it’s never getting future development.Version: 4.8.5

It was great! This was a great app (keyword -> was) - but it now runs so slow on my Apple Watch (series 2). There is so much lag when trying to wipe to pause, or swipe to adjust the last tracked reps. Unfortunately this app just isn’t usable at the minute..Version: 4.3.9

Doesn't work on watchos 4I tried contacting the support and left all the details but received no response. It successfully detects the repetition but fails to recognise the exercise every time. I trained the app but even then when performing the next set of same exercise, it asks to teach again. Very disappointed as the reviews were so good. I was super impressed by the description but it did not work for me. Had the developers contacted back with a resolution, I'd have given better rating. For now, there are other great apps like Gymholic..Version: 4.3.5

App statusDo you have any plans to fix or update the app to make it compatible with iOS 16.5. My issue is the same as the most recent posts (I attached a screenshot to the work order). I've contacted you via email (with a work order) and the phone number listed on your website that goes to Juan's voicemail (I've left messages). No response to any message. Please advise..Version: 4.10

AnnoyingThe Apple Watch part of this app is reliant on 100% perfection of movements and even then it counts reps that aren’t even happening. Too complicated. Deleted and subscription cancelled..Version: 4.6.3

Feeling exploitedWell as soon as you get anything set up, the app tells you that you need a premium service to use it and then locks you into a loop where you need to switch your phone off to get out. Bug ridden, error prone software designed to get money out of you in the hope the premium implementation is better.Version: 4.6.3
