SOLE Fitness App for Negative User Reviews

MarshBasic.Version: 2.51

Profile info won’t saveWhen I try to save my profile in the app, it won’t let me enter a password and won’t save my details. Why have the app then? I use it so it’s faster for me to get started working out. It’s a nuisance having to go through entering my weight, etc every time. Please fix this..Version: 2.7

Needs instruction manualI love my sole elliptical but have been trying to figure out this app for over a year. Every now and then i lean about a feature by reading these reviews. Please write a user manual for the app - include it under the i. information on how to set up and use the app and it’s features. such as how to connect to fit bit and how to automatically connect when you work out..Version: 2.43

Limited functionalityIt’s bad enough that the actual Sole treadmills don’t show distance to two decimal places (can’t do 1/4 repeats or accurate 5k times without switching the display to metric every time) but there really isn’t an excuse for not giving the option on the app. I’ve given up getting a firmware update for the treadmill monitor but it would be nice to at least have this function on the app..Version: 2.47

Meh.It does indeed only have a landscape mode. I’m also having the problem that other reviews mention—the treadmill goes at about half the suggested program speed when being controlled by the app, which can be crazy slow (0.9mph, anyone?). App shows the exact same info as the treadmill screen, so that’s pretty pointless. I stopped using it because of the speed problem so I don’t know if it communicates with the Health app, but I’d rather just put manual workouts into Strava. The treadmill is supposed to be ~premium~ so it’s not great to have an app that I don’t want to use as its only option, but whatever..Version: 2.47

Stopped sending data after updatedThis was working well enough until the most recent update. Now it is recording data but no longer syncing with the health app. I tried to manually send the data and although health is an option it does nothing when I press it..Version: 2.19.1

Can’t login after first dayI loved this app, but after the first day it doesn’t let me login. The phone number on their site only gets dishonest sales pitches. It is a good app but it seems it is set up only to gather phone numbers for spam purposes. There seems to be no way to get help with the app, like why sign in information is rejected nor how to fix it. Sole has a great reputation but this app is destroying it..Version: 2.52

Poorly Designed AppMost apps, even if poorly designed, improve somewhat with subsequent updates. Not so wth the Sole Fitness App. When I first got this app, I was able to sync basic workout info (distance, time and pace) from my Sole treadmill to my Fitbit account. Now, it no longer gives you the option to share to Fitbit or other fitness apps. This app is pretty much useless now..Version: 2.43

Astonishingly poor HealthKit supportI write this more to solicit activity from the developers: I purchased a Sole machine for two reasons: tank-like construction and syncing with HealthKit. The former seems to be true, but the latter... 1. Unlike, say, the LifeFitness app, this app does not sync with HealthKit automatically. As in, after each exercise I have to go find the exercise on the calendar, tap the share button, and then tap the HealthKit button. 2. Assuming it appears, which it does not always 3. However, the HealthKit button is typically (and has been for days despite the recent update) unresponsive. I can tweet, but I can’t sync with HealthKit. 4. The one time I _was_ able to sync with HealthKit, the only data Sole provided was that exercise occurred. Nothing about heart rate or steps or anything. This is mind boggling. The rest of the hiccups and infelicities of the app I don’t mind—its lack of portrait mode, etc.—but seriously in 2019 good HealthKit integration is a must. I hope sole updates the HealthKit support..Version: 2.36.10

Worst app on the planetIt does not save workouts in the calendar as stated, does not sync with Apple Watch/iPhone, or the Health app. And it does not sync with the apps it claims to sync with. When you click on the app to share (Facebook, Safari, Mail) it just opens the app with zero data transferred. I bought a Polar HRM to see if that could sync and bridge the gap to my Health app, and it will sync to the app but not with the correct data, like mileage. The Polar HRM says zero miles ran, even though the Sole treadmill read my heart rate from Polar, the information did not go back to Polar. I want to track ACCURATE health data in one place and this Sole app makes that impossible. You can turn on the treadmill with the app, but pushing the big green button on the machine in front of you is easier. I love the treadmill but this app is a joke. And after all of these terrible reviews, they still haven’t fixed it..Version: 2.43

Calories shown is not correctWhen you use your treadmill without connecting through this app the calorie displayed is different than the calories displayed when you connect your treadmill with this app. Example:When I run on Sole 63 by connecting through the this app at end of 45 mins it shows me that I burned almost 781 calories. When I run without connecting through this apps then the calorie display shows me 390. I don’t understand the difference here ..Version: 2.43

Application inutileExactement la meme chose que sur mon appareil fitness... sa sert absolument a rien cette app. Ils essai de nous vendre un appareil plus cher du a cette app mais elle est vraiment inutile.Version: 2.43

Absolutely useless!Wont save profile data at all, I add my info and it’s just forgotten when you press save. Also can’t keep connection to F80 treadmill for more than 30seconds which makes this app completely pointless..Version: 2.21.1

DisappointingI love our Sole Fitness treadmill but both the firmware on the treadmill and this app are very disappointing. They could be fantastic with a little development and I live in hope that the developers rethink what these could be..Version: 2.51

MehI wanted to love this app as much as I love my tread but sadly I don’t. The other review is accurate the app really struggles with Bluetooth. The app only connects to my tread, rarely headphone and there is no way to cast non tread workouts to your tv or other Bluetooth device - that makes workouts off the tread hard to use which sucks. It also won’t connect to my Apple Watch, so instead my stats connect to Apple health seperatly from other fitness apps like Strava. It’s the Bluetooth and connecting with things Bluetooth that needs to be developed and updated further for this to really be a success. Pls fix Sole+!!!.Version: 2.52

Does what it needs to do nothing moreThe sole fitness equipment is fantastic. I just purchased an elliptical. It is built so well that’s it could survive a nuclear strike. The app, however, is nothing special. It does link to the machine via BT, which is good. Also tracks exercise on a rudimentary level. However, when you realize what can be done with a great app (peloton and Nordic track), it really seems like Sole is missing an opportunity to really leap to the front of the pack..Version: 2.43

Horrible. This app barely enables a mere remote view of your workout. There is no way to sync workouts to your MapMyRun app, or to Apple. The horizontal-only view is not ideal and honestly is a total waste of space in your device. Folks need to come up with a real app that lets you program your workout, sync it with real workout apps and it should also let you switch to other apps like your music without disconnecting..Version: 2.18.1

Garbage is being politeI just want to smash every device that I use to log onto the elliptical, then I breath and realize it’s the GARBAGE app not my devices. So sad to have to deal with this crap every time I work out..Version: 2.42

IwatchDoesn’t support iwatch!!!!!.Version: 2.52

Absolute Garbage! The app will sync to my treadmill but that’s about it... This app will NOT share data with HealthKit or Fitbit or anything- there are no icons or options to do so! When I click the share button (box with up arrow), I see the Facebook & Twitter icons & a More icon. More is nothing but sharing a screenshot from your phone (or iPad) of your workout & sending/saving to a folder, Dropbox, Messages, email, etc. I download this app on my iPad too, but same as my phone, I only see Facebook & Twitter - I do not see what the screenshot shows for this app description for iPad. Compete garbage & useless app as many others have stated! Apparently devs have no desire to fix it either...Version: 2.28

Worked ok and then...First of all, if you have the app opened and connected, the machine won’t work by using the hardware buttons. So if you used it with the app, got in the shower, the next person using it would have to find you and ask you to disconnect. Then it just started randomly adding everyone’s workout onto the my user profile so now I have to accurate count of what I actually did myself. I wish it supported multiple users, sent data to apple health, and had better UI..Version: 2.47

Needs a lot of workFirst things first - App does not allow you to run in portrait mode. We are forced to use it in landscape at all times. This is not convenient at all. Next I have connectivity issues with my F85 treadmill. It will initially connect but as I am browsing through the app menus the “Disconnected” message appears forcing me to frequently reconnect to my Bluetooth session. You also don’t have the option to stream your music to your treadmill. Would have been nice to add that feature but it appears the Bluetooth connections are only good for syncing workouts and your training sessions. I see potential but this definitely needs work! Fitness hardware - top notch - app for the hardware = not so much..Version: 2.29.1

Worst App I’ve Used FunctionallyThis app is horrible, the interface is completely NOT user friendly. The treadmill requires the app to do just about anything beyond a basic manual workout and getting your input correct on here is terrible AT BEST. Sole should be ashamed they hired an app programmer with the skills of a pre-schooler to design this for them. One star only because that’s the lowest score you can give..Version: 2.52

It won't let me paste a password to create an accountIn order to register, you MUST type out your password instead of using copy/paste from a password manager. This prevents you from using long, secure passwords, because they are excruciating to type on a phone. Also it forces you to use it landscape, which really screws up the UI of iOS. You can't use all of the screen gestures you're used to. It's very frustrating to not be able to swipe between applications when Sole is open. Just terrible UX even before I got logged in, so I deleted it..Version: 2.52

The worstHate the tread and the app won’t connect. Where is customer service? I look at the tread and think “why would they not include a 6 mph button?” And “why don’t they have tenths increments”. Yeah I knew it when I bought it and thought I would be ok without those, but frankly now I’m wondering what the engineers were thinking? Do they actually run? The app completely pisses me off. My husband has connectivity but I don’t. Why why why?!? So unhappy..Version: 2.28

So frustrating…I cannot understand why I can use the app but it cannot record my heart rate. It can display is so why can’t it store it then show me in a graph? Either I can see where in the app it’s visible or it’s a poor design. Even if I can’t export anything useful, like calorie count and heart rate (not just a single average workout heart rate) I’d expect it to be available in the app. What exactly is the point of the Bluetooth upgrade and app? To tell you a very high level ‘summary’ per workout…..Version: 2.51

GarbageOther than being able to program my machine it does nothing it says it can do. I still can’t sync with my Fitbit and I just randomly lost 5 months of data. I bought this machine for some of these capabilities. Very disappointed..Version: 2.37.2

Disconnects And CrashesWith my Sole F85 treadmill and iPhone XS the Bluetooth drops and the app crashes immediately when trying to use. Very frustrating..Version: 2.27.1

Incorrect level recorded for User 1 and 2I reported this a couple of times and it still has not been corrected. The level set in the user profile was 7 and level 6 was recorded in the app. This app requires more work. Expensive exercise equipment spoiled by poor app programming.Version: 2.35.1

Successful HealthKit workaroundApp itself isn’t very good as other reviews have stated. I have found a workaround to get data to apple health. Use both this app and the Sole+ app. This app gets the data from the treadmill to your profile and the Sole+ app gets it from your profile to HealthKit. You need to mess with settings to get it to not double count. Far from perfect. Hope this helps..Version: 2.28

Not able to register as userI downloaded the Sole Fitness App but not able to register myself as user. I have bought Sole F85 to enjoy the Bluetooth faculty, which is through App only. I am disappointed. Please advise on this.Version: 2.42

Why BotherThis app makes the machines rank at the lowest in exercise equipment. The Sole brand is a great product that I would advise anyone to purchase. The machines and customer service are rock solid but this app has to go. After 3 hours and two phone call to customer service, I finally was able to register the app and connect it to my Elliptical machine. It still was limited in what was displayed and inaccurate with what the machine displayed. Either get rid of the app or spend more time in development on getting its features to work. Why bother with frustrating your clients on trying to register the equipment and monitor your progress..Version: 2.52

Not as awful as the other reviewsIn general the app does a good job displaying the workout data, and a good job recording it. It is also a good way to select and set up the workout parameters. And I have not had any stability issues on my iPad. There are a few places I would like improvement: 1) you cannot adjust the incline when designing a custom workout 2) the app seems unable to save a user defined workout making the entire process of having 2 user slots pointless and a pain to even bother. If they figured that out I would say the app was even better than the machine itself. My machine is the sole E25 v2.Version: 2.51

Request for more flexibilityIt would be nice if the sole app would allow the user to configure intervals more easily with less restriction on the treadmills If the sole app would prompt the user an interval for run time and a interval for walk time with an option to repeat any number of times that would be useful. For example to create a beginner interval: Enter run interval time: 00:15 (15 second run interval) Enter walk interval time: 00:45 (45 second walk interval) Repeat number of run/wal intervals: 029 (creating 29 paired run intervals of 15s with 45s walk intervals).Version: 2.52

App crashesThis app has never been robust and I had very few successful sessions where my info was saved or recorded to HealthKit. Since the last two versions it just crashes! After connecting, threadmill beeps and as soon as I entered time and sync, it crashes..Version: 2.14.2

TerribleWhat exactly do I dislike about the app? Once I open it I cannot close it. The only way I can is to turn off my iPhone X completely and restart it. It will only load in landscape. It does not connect to any of my Apple products in spite of that being advertised. I called and was actually told that they were trying to figure out how to do it. Figure it out first - then make the claim. I like the treadmill but I had paid extra to get one with iOS connectivity. That claim was fraudulent. And the app adds zero to the experience - in fact much less than zero. Would I buy the brand again? Probably not because of the above issues. Update: I can’t believe they haven’t fixed this yet! Get a couple of high school kids and they could do a much better job of designing a functional app (maybe even younger kids)!.Version: 2.35.1

Worst of the worstThis is one of the worst applications I have ever used. Nearly every single function does not work properly. It does not sync with my treadmill, I have issues updating the information on the application, and I also have a lot of trouble syncing it with Apple health or my fitness pal, which generally play really well with other health and fitness applications. In addition, I hate how it forces you into landscape mode. I prefer using my phone in portrait and almost every other application allows you to do either or, but not this one! Of course why would they offer even a single ounce of convenience in this piece of garbage application..Version: 2.37.2

Fix your AppKinda ridiculous you have incredible fitness equipment yet this app is horrible, please fix it, I spent a lot of money on my F65 treadmill, I’d like to be able to use its features.Version: 2.47

Useless appCannot sync data from iPhone to iPad or vice versa. Your workout is only recorded on the device you used. iPhone version is horizontal display only. You can’t set a desired speed from the app for your treadmill, the default is 5 mph maximum for all programs and you have to change it manually on the equipment. Basically, it is a fancy way to start the treadmill, and even then you have to use the machine buttons to actually start the machine. 0 stars, I will be deleting the app. I gave it 1 star only because you must give a rating in order to send the review..Version: 2.47

UI and functions are lackingDear SOLE, Please update your software. Your treadmill is great, but the app provides almost no functionality at all. There is so much potential in the connectivity between the treadmill and a device, and all it really does is show the same view as the treadmill and (sort of) show history in a non-user-friendly way. Thanks for your consideration..Version: 2.30.1

Rubbish APPAgree with all other comments. What makes it worse is that despite the feedback there’s no indication that the developers have any intention of improving the APP. Consumers should get what they pay for, if you advertise that there is a supporting APP then there should be a fully functioning one there, if not, take it fine, as in its current form the APP is of little benefit to anyone!.Version: 2.32.1

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! You have been warned! This is an entirely useless piece of rubbish that does not work. Once launched, there is no way to exit the app, which means your iPhone will become a brick. The only way out is to power down the iPhone and start all over again. This is a mind bogglingly incompetent piece of work and the developer should be fired forthwith..Version: 2.37.2

Doesn’t workKeeps crashing when syncing to e95.Version: 2.12.1

Should be embarrassedMy Sole elliptical is amazing, the app to track my workouts is ridiculous in its awfulness. How can you make such a great product and not be able to make an easy to use app for tracking??? There’s no way to keep track of what you’re doing unless you’ll like to take a picture of your screen every day or use paper and pencil …..Version: 2.51

Useless appWaste so much time try to connect my e95s elliptical. Useless information display No syn workout data I give zero stars I don’t get why company waste time to produce useless apps I can not send as zero star, so you see 1 star.Version: 2.45

Never WorksAnd I mean never. When I first got my Sole F80, the app connected with the treadmill, then disconnected itself and never connected again. I emailed Sole, but all they could advise was to unplug the treadmill and start over. Did that. Didn’t help. I’ve deleted the app, reinstalled it, deleted and reinstalled it after an update, tried to connect it to every compatible device I own—nothing. It reads them, but refuses to connect. It won’t even read the treadmill the app was written for, so what exactly is the point of having a Bluetooth compatible machine? This app is one big fail. I love the treadmill otherwise, but do not buy a Sole machine because it has Bluetooth, because the app doesn’t work. Ever..Version: 2.37.2

Utterly uselessIt does save my profile details, every time I try to change my height and weight details and save, it doesn’t record it and each time I go back I’m I’m 455 cm tall and weight 20kg. Ignoring this, when I try to sync with me E25, the app crashes every time..Version: 2.13.3

Useless appWell it connects with the R92. But don’t trust any of the data it provides you. And when Sole says it connects with Apple Health or Fitbit THEY ARE FLAT OUT LYING on their website. It does nothing of the kind. Use this app to start an exercise routine. That’s all. The developer should be absolutely ashamed for releasing this excuse for an integrated application. Having said that. The exercise equipment itself is first rate. Pity it is let down by this PoS..Version: 2.47

Very disappointingMy wife just got an E35 elliptical and she was very excited that it had the Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to share with mapmyrun and other apps. The problem is that the Sole app doesn’t have that ability and I noticed that it never asks permission to access the HealthKit app or any other apps when it installs. This is a major flaw and false advertising. Please correct this and add the ability to access the other fitness apps..Version: 2.22.1

Embarrassingly crapWhy have an App if it does not work?? I am unable to connect to a brand new F85 treadmill. The Bluetooth will not pick up the equipment. Just rubbish 🤬.Version: 2.35.1

Doesn’t sync with HealthKit, no app supportAfter months of having to manually sync with HealthKit it finally starting “working” when I installed Strava. Lasted two workouts, then stopped syncing altogether. Now I can only “post” to Strava which appears as a message with no data whatsoever. The data does not appear in HealthKit either. Looked on Sole’s website but all the support links are for mechanical, ordering, etc - no mention of the app..Version: 2.19.1

Crap Complete waste of timeCan only get this app to work to a fashion if I Sign in as a guest, then it will Alter my user program. Think it needs a lot more development..Version: 2.13.3

Rubbish Connectivity and Transfer of DataAlthough it connects via the app it does not share the data obtained from your run into the sole calendar let alone the Fitbit or Apple health app. Still at an early stage of use but cannot get the data across 😡.Version: 1.0.14

I like that it logs, but has issuesThe good... The logging works great, and I like the dashboard. The bad.... substantial issues: The App only works in landscape mode. On iPhone 11 the edit profile page has no descriptions of the items and reconverts imperial to metric on save (only showing metric) At last usage the calorie counts were WAY off in manual mode, it looked like it was recording double the calories burned. I suspect someone goofed metric and imperial and is recording my weight in pounds as the same number in kilograms. Selecting levels in the custom workout mode is just confusing as there is no indication of speed. Worse, it locks the treadmill to a minimum and a maximum, so if you get it wrong, you have to trial and error to get it right. App doesn’t seem to export / share any data with Garmin Connect. No error, just nothing happens. The way it syncs to a live workout is just a bit odd, guessing it’s a safety feature, but it’s a back and forth of press start, press press confirm and repeat. I went to fast on pressing start/confirm once and I think it screwed up the workout. Might have been unrelated. I am giving it 2 stars as I do use it, but this really fees incomplete / unfinished..Version: 2.42

Ugh! What a waste!Spent $1600 on the Sole F80 with the key reasoning it had Bluetooth integration and and app for tracking our progress. Yes, the app works with iPhone, but it doesn’t integrate to Health or work with the Apple Watch. The 1980’s style LCD display is so rudimentary they should be embarrassed and as others have commented, the speakers belong on a child’s $20 play toy, not an expensive piece of exercise equipment. Top that off with HORRIFIC customer service. The treadmill is almost silent when running, until you step in the deck where the noise is ridiculous. The unit was supposed to be lubricated from the factory, clearly not. After applying a coat of silicone it’s quieter, but still louder than others I’ve used in hotel gyms. I recommend neither the app or the treadmill. This one may be going back..Version: 2.47

Doesn’t workAs others have said it connects and often disconnects - never saves my profile and doesn’t save my data. So bought an expensive F63 running machine and the app is rubbish.Version: 2.16.1

Won’t ConnectI have tried countless times to get this app to connect to my Sole SB900 bike. It shows the device name when I click the link icon, but when I select it and hit Connect it either fails with a message telling me to download Sole+ (which doesn’t work with the bike because it has no LCD display), or just silently fails after a short loading animation..Version: 2.51

Milage X10?The app seems to be working ok. I want to be able to keep track of my daily workouts, but the milage recorded is multiplied by 10. I tried going to app support here in the app store but it just takes me to the parent company website and there is no app support to be found. Can you fix this?.Version: 2.39.1

Simply doesn’t workThis app just doesn’t work. No matter how many times I update my profile (age, height, weight) it just instantly forgets it.Version: 2.40.13

Not completely compatible with the iPhone XRubbish, doesn’t share data with apple health app so no point using it Use strava instead much better.Version: 2.13.3

UselessWhy go through all the trouble of developing this app if all it does is set up your workout and act as a mirror to he treadmills display? I mean, you have all the data from the exercise session in the app and you don’t even share it with the health app, or give the user any options to share this information with the various health and fitness tracking apps. As a former software developer, I’m completely at a loss for the logic behind this insane decision that completely neutered this app from actually being useful..Version: 2.52

Useless don’t want your timeTried using this to monitor what I was doing. If fails about 20% of times at least. Doesn’t appear to have improved in 2 years.Version: 2.28

Updated ReviewThankfully the developer FINALLY added Apple Health synching capabilities however if you have the app paired up with the elliptical and you are inactive for more than a few minutes after manually PAUSING your workout it completely deletes your workout and doesn’t even save your progress which is stupid. Also, you can only sync workout durations to Apple Health and not calories. Include the ability to sync calories!!.Version: 2.32.1

Utter garbageDoesn’t save users, reverts back to default and won’t recall user details. Loses all history when you log-out then back in again. Basically useless. Would hive it zero stars but can’t so * by default..Version: 2.14.2

Futile and worthlessThe sole reason (see what I did there?) this App should exist is to move workout data to commonly used tracking apps. This app makes moving the data exceedingly difficult with a single obscure “happy path” to make it work (Caledar>list view>share button>pick your app). When you FINALLY figure out how to move the data all that happens is it tells the app of your choice that a workout occurred and for how long. No steps, no calories, no distance, no heart monitor data. As someone who makes a living in tech, this App is offensive to both users and developers. Everyone involved with this should feel shame. Sole’s app developer failed to recognize the issue they needed to solve and accordingly Sole has failed at respecting their users. It stinks, it’s putrid, and it fails miserably at the one thing it should do..Version: 2.42

Simple program but does send workout to Apple health appPros: excellent treadmill program and simple app design to get workout’s completed. Allows users to enter personal information to have better workouts. Cons: app does not send workout info to your apple Health. So when it comes to tracking you have to take unnecessary time to enter it in manually. Overall the program need to integrate with apple fitness and health apps to better personalize and aid fitness goals..Version: 2.52

Disappointing and uselessIt’s baffling to me that a company that makes such a good treadmill can be proud of such a garbage app. This app is worse than useless: it actively impedes your training. It’s really hard to track my training properly when the app routinely just wipes all data without warning midway through a workout. I don’t care about smart trainers or custom workouts or coaches. I’m fine changing speed and slope manually. All I want is to record my workout with heart rate and be able to export it to TrainingPeaks. It’s 2021. This should not be a difficult request for a $2000+ machine..Version: 2.52

Total garbage app and that’s an insult to garbage.Agree with all other negative reviews. This Sole app is the biggest piece of trash app I’ve ever downloaded. And this is after many deletions and reinstalls, plus Sole tech support “assistance.” It would not surprise me if this app developer is just using this app as a ruse to access your personal data. I can’t otherwise imagine a reputable company offering this app to the public..Version: 2.37.2

Absolutely RubbishThis app is utterly rubbish every time I log in as user and enter details as soon a I hit synch the app closes and take back to home screen, it does not save the workout data, it does not connect to Garmin Connect, it does not enter workout in the diary so you can keep track of historical workout data these are basis and fundamental to any fitness app yet absent from this one, show poor support for the product, poor development and testing shameful to release such a poor app given the demands of today’s fitness market, treadmills aren’t much better either especially when it comes to connectivity with polar and Garmin chest straps.Version: 2.19.1

Disappointing appFor as great as the treadmill is, the app sucks. Cant do heart rate workouts from the app, even though it says you can and even though the heart rate monitor works in manual mode. As soon as you try do a heart rate workout it says to please connect chest strap, even if it is already synched. It drops it. If this could be fixed, the app would be good enough for what I need it for. Please fix. I'd love to be able to have the treadmill speed up/slow down based on hr..Version: 2.51

Glimmer of hope squashedIt has potential. But right now, it’s not worth using. The only benefit i see today is that my calories are based on my weight and height i enter into the app. If i just jump on and go, Sole doesn’t ask for my weight and height so the calories are off. Why is that so hard to ask for each workout including just pushing start?.Version: 2.47

UselessCan’t create an account to login or use the app.Version: 2.14.2

Decent but needs workThe app is nice but lacks crucial features. 1) no where on the treadmill or the app can we see the 3rd digit when running. Any avid runner needs to see the second decimal place (hundredth of a mile). For example, 5.45 miles.... yours will only show 5.4 and 5.5 and 5.6 etc. I called customer support and they said they are tired of asking without success. Just add the third digit and your customers would be so happy. 2) It would be nice to see the display replicated on the treadmill screen. I have a beautiful screen on my treadmill and this teeny app with more data on my phone seems backwards..Version: 2.43

Not connectingThe sole app won’t connect to Garmin despite it being an option. The heart rate monitor won’t connect to anything despite changing the batteries. I don’t have the option to see what other apps I can use along side the sole fitness app. Disappointing for a newbie.Version: 2.52

Why won’t developer fix issues?I have written reviews before and even contacted Sole directly. I continue to ask why the Sole apps were not developed to transfer workout data TO health apps such as My Fitness Pal or Apple Health. The only real response I got was from Sole saying the app does not transfer data from Sole to Garmin but Garmin data can be transferred to Sole. Not sure what good that does? So I continue to manually enter info from my treadmill into the health apps. Maybe the developer should fix that in an update. Of course it would be especially nice if Sole had 1 app instead of 2..Version: 2.52

Basically uselessPlease make this app useable or remove it. I fully understand the 1 star reviews. Too bad you can't do zero stars. I'm unable to get past the first intial step of user profile..Version: 2.51

Worst fitness link app I have EVER seen!Complete and total garbage. I have an F80 treadmill. This app barely connects to the treadmill but completely shuts off the buttons to the treadmill once connected. I guess that would be ok if you could actually control the treadmill from the app but you can’t. The Garmin Connect feature just flat out doesn’t work. This app is essentially useless unless the screen on your treadmill doesn’t work. Do not buy this treadmill if you want to connect to any fitness apps.Version: 2.52

Disconnects and loses workout data oftenI bought an E95 elliptical hoping to get Bluetooth connectivity and integration with my Apple watch series 3. I could accept that the app only replicated the Sole console on the iPhone XR without using the heart rate calculation from the Apple Watch for calories, but the constant Bluetooth disconnections and resulting loss of data make this app (almost) useless. Hopefully, future revisions will improve this app such that it can show the Heart Rate from the watch directly in the Sole Fitness App without having to look at my watch..Version: 2.26.4

Love the treadmill hate the appI bought a sole 80 and love the machine!! The app os absolutely horrible. If you link it to the machine, you can no longer program the machine from the panel only the app. The problem is that the app does not allow you to set up workouts like you can on the panel. So the app limits the treadmills capability!! The other is that the treadmill only syncs with this app!! As much as I love the treadmill, and I am no expert; If you are looking for a treadmill to sync to your phone and track workouts, find another one..Version: 2.52

UselessJust got the treadmill... excited to use the app with my F85. Doesn’t connect for more then a second. Totally disappointed. Deleted the app already!.Version: 2.22.1

Has never worked properly...Have had this app for over a year and it has never worked properly with the E98 elliptical. Problems include Bluetooth connectivity issues, loss of training data, and inability to recall personal settings. Just when it looks like one issue is fixed, the next update messes it up once more. This is what one can expect when an R&D department has a $50.00 annual budget..Version: 2.25.1

Worst software but an excellent treadmillAs far as the treadmill itself, one of the best and sturdiest on the market in a friendly budget price point…but the app is a dumpster fire!! Please offer some college students some $$ and they will improve it 10-fold. Can’t connect to my F-85 and Jerod wanting me to use the other Sole+ app which is also a mess! For a professional fitness company, excellence is in the product but not the software!.Version: 2.52

Doesn’t Save! Total RubbishAs others have found, it does not seem to save anything. My profile seems to return to default when I return to the page. I changed my weight to 195 pounds and upon returning to the page it was back to 55Kg again with all other fields blank. It also doesn’t sync to MapMyFitness but claims it has. I flicked the switch to on which brought up the MMF log in. I did that and then it told me I could post to MMF but there was no “Post” button!! I then tapped the sharing again and the switch was Off. I tapped the switch again and back to MMF log-in!!! To quote another review... Total Crap. I am very very disappointed having spent a lot of money on this machine!.Version: 2.14.2

How did Apple even authorize this to be here??Just got my E35 today. Love it. Thank god they are not in the app business. Couldn’t even register. It doesn’t accept November as a birthday month, it asks for lbs on a gender field, once I entered all info it asked for it again and even though I was ready to have at it a second time it just gave me a blank page..Version: 2.39.1

Average Watts is not updatingThe App is alright except the average watts are not updating correctly when I end my workout on the Sole R92 Exercise Bike. ie. I could be averaging 282 watts for the whole hour and at the end of the workout it says Avg Watts - 7. Also would love metrics like Max RPM, Max Watts, Max BPM, ETC..Version: 2.52

Written during a tea break - awfulSomethings in this world are just so pointless you wonder why people even bothered to start with. This app is one of them. Just built the treadmill and already thinking of returning it due to this app being so poor and some cheap elements of the treadmill combined..Version: 2.43

Menu itemsIPhone interface still not available and Charge 3 still not recognised by app.Version: 2.37.2

DREADFUL APPWon’t save anything . Wish I’d bought a techno gym treadmill, the app for that is brillant my friends have it. Wast of time this app.Version: 2.14.2
