✓ Can’t close ads … X doesn’t workIt used to be a great for my needs, however now they divert you to a full page ad that has an X to close, however it doesn’t work (to let you close out of it). Very annoying.Version: 2.3.1

✓ Could be better and costumer support leaves a lot to be desiredI am disappointed with the new version. Actually paid for it, but have commercial advertisement in my version. I paid for it. Also, I am trying to get rid of the ads, but there are no options under setting to upgrade to get rid of it. Finally, the customer service is horrible for a company that hides behind help chat rather than have people you can connect with to possibly, increase their sales..Version: 2.1.2

✓ Amazing! When it works..I was introduced to AudioNote a few years ago, and it is a great tool for college students. However, after about a month of using it, it freezes if I try to do anything off the screen that opens. I have tried offloading files and uninstalling so I don’t lose them, but it only works for a few days and then starts doing the same thing. Very challenging to use when I want to record lectures and I have to have all my classes on the same page , because it will freeze if I open a new sheet. I cannot open any saved files. Literally if I press anything off whatever it opens to, it will freeze. I have the paid version also. Please fix this annoying glitch. I want to continue to use it but it’s kinda pointless if it doesn’t really work..Version: 2.3.1

✓ InconsistentWhen not recording audio, one has the option to place a timestamp along the left margin. After a full day of taking notes with all of the times tracked along the left-hand margin, I was unable to maintain these timestamps when exporting to other applications or to a PDF. Moreover, when I tried playing with the settings to have this done, the app wound up changing the time to the then current time for the entire day does losing all of my time stamps for the notes I had taken that day. This is even a problem when opening with the Mac OS version from the iPad version. To make matters worse, customer support did not respond to my concerns..Version: 2.3.0
✓ Not a seamless upgrade from AudioNote1st impressions are key in life. And I loved AudioNote so much I bought it pretty quickly... So when a new version became available, I thought I'd give my fave notetaker an upgrade... And although a subscription price seemed a little over the top, I was initially impressed by what the new version offered.... it seemed to be a worthy upgrade... So I clicked install... and then my opinion did a major nosedive... All my folders - everything stored in AudioNote are not there... and I'm not able to find any import options (not that I should need to as I'm upgrading your product) - nor any support help in your FAQs for this.. Hopefully this will be something fixable.. But I'm going back to my super-favourite AudioNote for now, and will continue to watch this space..Version: 1.6

✓ Many glitchesThis app has had so many difficulties and glitches, I do not recommend it at all. I even paid for the upgraded version thinking some of the issues would be ironed out but they were not. It is not user friendly and often gets frozen or stuck as I’m trying to export/edit files. ✓ Why Am I Still Getting Ads??I was somewhat sceptical when I paid for the original AudioNote and then had to pay FULL price for the upgrade. However, what is really bothersome is that when you pay for the service, you get the ad free version, or at least that is what they tell you. After paying for BOTH services, I AM STILL GETTING INTRUSIVE ADS. I normally wouldn’t put this in the reviews but there is NO WAY TO REACH THEM otherwise. ✓ I don't like it at all.I've been forced to use this app to do some work. People i'm doing work for used this app to record, and I cannot open the file through any other means but using this app, and in 2017 that is unacceptable. Most annoyingly I cannot get the sound to come out of my Bluetooth speaker and it's bloody infuriating. Nothing else has ever given me a problem. Also the layout is fiddly for people that need to stop and start an audio recording frequently. I should be able to expand the forward, rewind & play controls, but I can't. I'll be cancelling the subscription as soon as my work is done..Version: 1.5

✓ Used to be 5 stars 😕I have LOVED this app and it’s predecessor AudioNote until recently. I think an update is necessary. I can no longer trim the audio, and the air drop from iPad to my MacBook no longer works. My MacBook recognizes my iPad but my iPad won’t recognize my MacBook in this app. I use this to record lectures in grad school and take notes. It is very handy for this. Please fix audio trim and air drop functions! I will re-rate the app, if you do. Thanks..Version: 2.1.2
✓ A mixed bagThe recording and note taking with synchronization are worthy of three stars ... BUT the file management and lookup are worth exactly ZERO. Wow, I don’t know who came up with that but it's very sad. I have used this app for years. Used it when listening to doctors discuss my daughters cancer treatments. I would recommend it for limited needs but if you record much you will not be able to manage those recordings and find them when you need them..Version: 2.2.3
✓ Quite nice but looks really clutteredAlways fancied an app like this on iPad. The best the competition offer is the ability to record audio as an extra thing added to the note This app actually understands that you voice is what should control the actual drawing of the note and they should be together A bit like livescribe echo but not needing an external pen / pencil This does it well and even provides some audio editing features. The problem well, I’m not happy about the look of the note when it is played back. It just looks like a revolting mess that animates what I drew and then leaves it there - so I am note clear about ideas I’m putting down, what progression what flow of thought etc. It’s good the way the app scrolls down the note as you come to parts of the note that don’t appear in view. That’s nice. I’d really have loved it if the parts of the note as i’m playing back down appear or appear partly visible. Then it would have been good. Even could have considered subscriptions. The only other thing is the pen tools you get are quite a-la Windows 3.0 Paintbrush. Was this so deliberate retro pun or is that actually right? 8 colours? Line, square, and circle tools? Shame because they got a lot of things right. The other thing is the thickness of the note paper. The horizontal lines are almost black. Awful aesthetics. Shame like I say. There’s very few out there that compete with this. Linking audio to writing notes is not common.Version: 2.2.4

Disappointed.Probably got eight hours trying to debug the install / uninstall / reinstall while working with tech-support sent half a dozen emails on the issue still does it work deleting now. ✓ Unable to contact developer for supportThere is no way to ask a question or submit a support ticket. The new version is having problems with dark background, text and paper color. Also, there is no way to force a save to Dropbox after making changes. This is the iOS v2 app.Version: 2.2.4

✓ Potentially great app made unusable because of excessive advertisingThis has the potential of being a very good app, but the developers have gone overboard with ads, making it unusable. It is not the ad banner at the top, still fair enough, but if you e.g. record even a 5 seconds note and play it back, you are then confronted with as full screen random video ad - not good, a real pity. ✓ Great for Minute takingAs a minute taker I love this app, combined with the Apple Pencil it is brilliant! Producing minutes from lengthy and often complicated meetings has become so much easier with AudioNote. My only gripe is exporting the data to PC, still trying to figure this out, would definitely score this 5 stars if this issue was resolved..Version: 2.1.2

✓ HorribleUnless you plan on paying for this never ever except their request to download it. It’s not just that there’s ads there are TONS of visual ads and there are audible and they play EVERY time when you want them to play your recording you have to listen to an ad at the beginning and the end of your short recording it’s incredibly stressful. And forget using it in a business situation. This is so obnoxious. If someone knows how to revert to the original AudioNote Please let me know. ✓ Editing audio not visualThis is a very simple recorder that does not allow you to see or scrub audio to edit. ✓ Doesn’t work for phone callsI downloaded this app hoping to be able to record meetings held via phone. Every time I would try to use audio not on my phone to record a call, audio note2 would stop working and give me a massage saying audio note was interrupted. There must be some kind of conflict if you are trying to the app to record a call on the same device. It works great for recording a conversation and take notes. There may be some utility in recording meetings when everyone is in the same room or you have another phone that has a speaker function.Version: 2.1.2
✓ Not Backward Compatible w Previous VersionsI really like AudioNote! Use it in almost every meeting I attend. Problem is I have A LOT of recordings in the previous version that Audio Note 2 won’t seem to access because they are on my phone directly not iCloud or Drop box. Could I move all of my existing file to Dropbox? Yes, but I’d like not to HAVE TO. Don’t see why it can’t just offer option to access folders on my phone as well. ✓ App closes during playbackUntil today I have been very happy with this app. As of today both the updated version 1 and version 2 keep closing during playback and not remembering where it last play up too. This is incredibly irritating and will be even more irritating if it happens during recording and information is missed. I hope this glitch is fixed very soon..Version: 1.1
