Tessitura Pro for Negative User Reviews

Keeps shutting down$6 is a lot for a app, can I get a refund?.Version: 3.6.1

Rubbish iPad softwareI have no problem with the 'content' of any of mDecks software ... the only problem is the software itself ... poor design layout and poorly coded for use with the iPad..Version: 3.9.1

Has potentialThe app provides lots of content, just the interface is clumsy and not intuitive. It feels like a chore to use. For example.. first glance at the guitar neck view and you get the idea. An needed improvement... if the user could customize a workspace ..or create several to guide the scope of what you they want tot work on. For example. Show a scale mode in whatever key and the chord triads that go with it...Version: 3.8.3

So much PotentialThe app has all the information you need. However, its design is just awful. I recommend a complete rework of the design. Otherwise 1 star for you..Version: 3.8.1

Not for guitarGiven the impression it was for guitar players off adds I will be asking for a refund 😡🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸.Version: 2.0.1

Not a great practice resourceThis is easily a brilliant app for a music theory nerd (myself included), but it lacks a lot of practice functionality. There is also a bug involving “practicing” across all keys and modes, which will only change the key, not the mode. If this bug were fixed and a list of scales which could all be practiced in the same screen, I would not hesitate to give 5 stars, but as it stands, the app doesn’t warrant it in my eyes..Version: 3.9.1

Extremely hard to useI give this two stars because it does have a ton of information that is useful. Or COULD be useful were it not so difficult to use. I am extremely well versed in musical terminology so that’s not the problem. The problem is the interface. It makes absolutely no sense how you get from one page to another. You have to actually study the app in order to study the music. Not worth it to me..Version: 3.9.1

Horrible UIUnintuitive and confusing to use!.Version: 3.4.2

Seems comprehensive, but unintuitive. There's seemingly a lot of information packed into this app. However, it's confusing, unintuitive, unattractive, and most importantly lacks ANY kind of tutorial, instructions, or overlay, explaining the features and functions. What are we supposed to do? Just tap on everything we see until we figure out how it all works? Even the preview movie (in the App Store) is confusing. This is a lazy, horrible approach to app design. I purchased this app, expecting there to be an in-app tutorial. Boy, was I wrong. Buyer beware!.Version: 1.7

UnintuitiveNot a very intuitive interface at all. Absolutely watch the tutorial videos..Version: 3.9.1

App crashesI just bought this app I was able to open it once but now when I open it it automatically crashes it is very frustrating I hope they can fix this bug..Version: 1.9.5

Really cool but...This app is really nice for what I do, but it crashes far too often.Version: 3.7.1

Very very complicatedI don't even know where to start to use the app and start learning anything... it's too complicated and yea it's for the "advanced" user but to figure out how to use the app is a whole lesson in itself already.Version: 3.7.1

Waste of moneyDon't waste your money. Not worth it! Layout is confusing, and a lot of the theory is incorrect. The screenshots are way more promising than the app. Considering its quality, the app should be free. Can't believe I wasted my $. You can watch all the tutorials on Youtube for free. W-a-s-t-e..Version: 2.2

Still in development.Contains a ridiculous amount of scales and chords, but crashes almost every time I use it. Should probably function better for $6..Version: 3.4.2

Could be so much betterThis app has a lot of potential but in my opinion there are a couple things that make this mostly something that I won't use very much. First, when choosing a scale as a main structure it does not show you all the triads available. You first have to choose what type of triad you are searching for, then it will show you only that triad. It seems like a miss to not see all the minor and major triads listed without going to the browser. Second thing is melodic patterns. There is no option to force chord tones on beat 1, or beats 1&3, etc. this makes patterns sound ambiguous instead of outlining a chord..Version: 3.9.1

🧠Impressive but not very practical, it is a chore to use. At this stage I don’t see the benefit of having an app for things that should probably just be learned in your head. Cool Swiss Army knife though....Version: 3.9.1

Great knowledge Terrible interfaceThere’s an ungodly amount of great information in this app, but with such a terrible interface, no learning tools, or introductory information to help understanding exactly what you’re looking at, the app can’t be said to be worth the price. Only buy if you have a solid foundation of music theory already held in mind..Version: 3.9.1

Fixed the issueThe issue below was fixed by an update, and I appreciate the attention. It still needs improvement on the ease-of-use. App crashes after I change the clef to Bass on the assistant. Also incredibly difficult to learn, not intuitive at all. Needs work!.Version: 3.6.1

When is the update?Been a while..Version: 3.9.1

Hmm....Complex interface with loads of buttons and pages. Hardly labelled so it feels like a lifetime's study to get the basics. You depend on a load of YouTube video tutorials. In the end my question is - what are you supposed to do with it? As an analytical tool you can get a list of Chords and other structures in a scale. Seems like a small reward for the amount of time you have to put in. Is it a practice tool? Not really. I play a scale more than once! It's based on a one octave scale only and you can't get it to play more than once. Goes for guitar tab and standard notation..Version: 3.8.3

App keeps crashingEnjoyed earlier versions. When switched to bass cleff the app keeps crashing. :(.Version: 3.0

Shonky gimmickApplication is hard navigate, provided that you are able to have it work without crashing on you, interface looks unprofessional. incomprehensible and not worth the money.Version: 3.4.2

Could be greatThe idea of and the concept of this app is truly great. I believe it could help with learning music and music theory, but I'll never know because it crashes every time I change a setting..Version: 3.7.1

Could be greatDoes not spell chords correctly- i.e. C augmented is spelled C, E, Ab in this app. However, the correct spelling is C,E,G#. I also noticed that diminished chords have errors. Makes me believe the writers of this program are not educated in music theory or did not have the coding tools to do it right. In any event, this is not helpful as a legit music theory tool until this is corrected..Version: 3.2
