✓ Excellent game, ambitious implementation!This is an excellent conversion of a very detailed game. The team have done a great job of ensuring relevant info is easy to hand at all times which i feel is key. Some minor issues (spelling mistakes, minor bugs) and some minor presentational issues but this is v1.0 and they have a bug/improvement report in their main menu so no doubt it will be even better very shortly.Version: 1.04

If you have not played the board game (like me), I would suggest watching a How to Play video to understand how to play the game. I found the in-game tutorial to not be very good. After going through the tutorial twice, I still did not really understand how to play the game, but one viewing of a How to Play video and the game became clear. ✓ Fantastic for strategy game loversI have always wanted to try this game, and now I finally can! It was a little overwhelming at first, but after the second game things started to click. There are so many possibilities and strategies that change every game, it's gotten me hooked! They did an awesome job making this app. There is a tutorial to walk through some of the basics as well, some won't make sense right away, but like I said, just stick with it and it will. One problem I find with the game is that if you close the app or switch to another one, your local game will be lost and you will have to start over. This makes it frustrating because you basically have to plan on not doing anything else during the time you play it. Please fix this! It is the only major drawback to the game. Buy it and play it! ✓ A Good StartWhile not perfect, the game does run as it is supposed to. There are glitches yet they are mostly visual and do not impact gameplay mechanics. And as mentioned in other reviews, the tutorial isn’t quite as helpful as it could be. It helped to give a basic understanding of the game’s mechanics but I still had to read the online pdf version of the rules to feel like I understood what all the symbols meant in the various panels. I haven’t tried the online multiplayer and can’t speak for that. Overall, it is a good adaptation that has room for improvement. For the price it is a decent way to “test” the game and see if you might like it or Gaia Project (the arguably better follow up to Terra Mystica with similar mechanics) as an addition to your physical collection..Version: 1.56

✓ Good with occasional errorsMinus one star because of two things; errors and ease of use. The errors, I get sometimes after completing my turn. You have to start the app over again for it to work. Then you have to take the action again. It’s always worked after two tries. The second thing is that there are a lot of menus to check through. If I start to take an action I don’t have certain information available to me quickly. For example if I want to build or upgrade and I forgot how many workers I had I would have to close the screen, check my workers and potentially my income for future actions, etc. I wish it was all right there. On the positive side, the game looks and feels just like it’s analog counterpart. Great job with the look and feel. Works pretty well on my iPhone 7 and doesn’t require a massive screen to play..Version: 1.56

✓ Great Game!I have had the physical board game for about a year now and it is my families favorite board game. Terra Mystica is tough to learn at first but once you catch on to it you'll realize it is quite a brilliant strategy game. I am very glad they made an app for mobile devices. I suggest new players first play with someone they can learn the game from before playing the mobile app alone. It is a very complicated game so it is much easier to learn it when being taught by an experienced player in person. Don't worry though, it's complexities make it so much fun!.Version: 1.07
✓ Excellent if imperfectThis is a fantastic implementation of the Terra Mystica board game. Admittedly, there have been bugs -- something to be expected with 14 asymmetrical races that change the basic rules of the game -- but the developers have been good about fixing them. I hope they keep making improvements and expanding features but if you like the board game, I'd recommend picking this up..Version: 1.10

One improvement that would make this app more enjoyable to play, is if the AI’s had their turns quickly, rather than the built in 5, 10 or 15 seconds. ✓ Great when it worksThe game is great. It is a good port of a pretty involved board game and it plays well even on my phone. The game ties itself to Game Center, which I honestly thought would be a pretty good thing but that seems to cause issues with the game sometimes. After a recent reinstall I haven’t run into any issues but I will try the steps outlined by the developer if something does happen again. The game is a solid port and a lot of fun. ✓ Awesome port!!Awesome port! Loving this app. The cardboard version has a large table top footprint, so the app does a commendable job in designing the ui to accommodate. At first I ran into a problem getting "GCERRORS network login errors" when trying to play multiplayer. The good folks at digidiced helped me out. If this happens to you, go to iOS settings. Log out of Game Center. Then fire up Terra Mystica back up. You will be logged back into Game Center and multiplayer should be functional!!.Version: 1.04

✓ Great game but...Would be 5 Star as the game and production value is great (playing on iPhone with iOS 11), however when trying to load profile or start a casual or ranked game on the ipad air 2 (with iOS 11), I get: “login error: The requested operation could not be completed because the local player has not been authenticated” Have the same setup with the game centre on the iPhone and this works fine. Please fix as playing friends through the iPhone is a bit small. UPDATE: Thanks for devs response, however I have tried this several times, but with link luck- still getting the same error..Version: 1.35

✓ Edited: Notifications suddenly stoppedI've played dozens of games with friends and then one day all notifications stopped. Devs won't respond to in-game bug reporting. I can't find a fix for this. The game is basically unplayable without notifications. Hopefully the devs see this and respond. I'd love to keep playing, but need notifications back. So frustrating spending money on a game and the most basic functionality fails. Edit: Notifications suddenly working again, still no response from devs.Version: 1.64

✓ Terra newbie, rescued by the app!My husband and I have been interested in getting the board game for some time, but the rules are so complicated it seemed like a big gamble. Enter the app: the user interface is easy to understand, the tutorials start you off nicely and the app calculates things like income and bonuses so it really took the pressure off learning the game. We have both played a few games on it now and are starting to experiment with different factions. I would definitely recommend the app to other terra mystica newbies. If I had one constructive criticism it would be that you can't access the rules from the games (explaining the faction cards when you look at them would be nice). We got round this by having a rules pdf open alongside the app. That said, it is a solid app that works well on the ipad as well. Money well spent!.Version: 1.41
✓ Pretty greatBeen waiting for this game for a while and am pretty pleased. Built in bug/suggestion button is nice. I feel like for the iPad version they could get away with displaying more on the screen at one time. The map takes up 80% of the screen and all the other boards and bonuses are hidden behind drop down or pop up boxes. It's fine but it's hard to get a good sense of the game state. I kind of want a game log. Apologies if it's hidden somewhere and I just haven't found it. But it would be nice for it to be really obvious. The game is glyph/icon heavy. It's taken directly from the board game tokens and boards. Not really a knock against the app just be warned if you haven't played the game before..Version: 1.04

For this price, I had hoped I would have more goals in the game to enhance replayability. But with only easy AI, local games get old fast. ✓ One of the BestTerra Mystica is one of the best Euro style boardgames out there. It really rewards repeat plays to try and get a better result while offering multiple factions to master. I’ve owned this game for ages and I often go back to it for a quick run. What sets this game apart is the engine building aspect which rewards you later with more income if you build wisely at the start - gamers refer to this as the snowball effect. There are randomised elements which will change how you approach each game but there is zero luck and zero secret information. There is also a risk reward element in building near other players as being close helps you generate more power while risking losing potential spaces to expand on. There is no combat or take that element in the game, it is all about building, expanding and upgrading your buildings. There is a fascinating terraforming mechanism which rewards you for planning ahead in knowing the easiest terrain types your faction can expand to. There is also a series of rivers which can enable you to spread around the board more easily by investing in boat levels. This is one of those deep games you can sink your teeth into while still offering enough simple choices to make for a fun beginners game. Highly recommended for gamers who like things like Catan but want more choice, depth and strategy..Version: 1.64

✓ Well worth 5 stars even with some things to do!!First of all, I want to complement the developers. I had never played this game before, and my first couple plays I doubted whether the many icons and windows were necessary. But after playing a few more times, I began to see what a complex and deep board game they had managed to develop. At first it had some bugs, but they have been quick to respond and fix things. They even fixed one bug I notified them of within a few days. Looking at the update history, I count about 25 updates in the last 8 months. I can’t think of another developer of iOS games who has been so quick to turn around updates to make the app better. Kudos to them. As to the game, I love it. I use iOS board game apps to decide if they are worth purchasing for real life table games, and I bought the actual game based on this app. One caveat is that this is a pretty deep and complex game, so may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Expect to spend an up to an hour or more even playing with bots. Looking forward to the Fire & Ice expansion. My only other issue is not really a fault with the app, but with the game designers. They did not play test the different factions enough, and have come up with different starting scores for the factions. Not a bad idea, but these points were not play tested well either, and the factions are still not properly balanced. Most new players won’t really notice it, but more experienced players will. I’m hoping Digidiced can gather more updated statistics to make the starting points better balanced for the factions..Version: 1.36
✓ Great Game + one very bad bugThis game is an awesome game to play. The learning curve is steep, but the game can be quickly learned by watching a video or two on how to play. There is one very bad bug that needs fixing asap. In the income phase, if you receive power from more than one source, all power after the first source are ignored. I.e. The power pools are not updated so the power is lost. This greatly affects race choice and game play. Please fix this as soon as you can..Version: 1.10
