✓ Gallery of app keeps playing upThe app is great and all. Only annoyance is the gallery part of the app. I can't even use access the files in the app, once I tap on the icon, the app will will go crazy by opening every video and around like 7 or more times so I'm left with a bricked app. And I have to clear it out of the background if I wanna use again. ✓ Not readyTheir camera app is far more feature-packed and fleshed out. The good: Dolby Vision. Great controls for quickly switching between auto, spot, locked and manual exposer/focus. Audio levels. Mic choices plus pickup patterns. Timecodes. ProRes. The bad: No focus loop. No focus peaking. No focus racking. No zebra stripes. No false colors. Very little bitrate control. Every time I open the app it automatically starts recording for about two seconds, then another two seconds, then another two seconds, and so on and so forth. ✓ Good but the latest version has issuesThis has been my favourite video recording app for a long time, however, the last few versions have had some quality issues. The video recorded flickers when enabling auto focus. Sometimes, it’s barely noticeable and at other times it’s clearly visible and annoying. This was the same on my iPhone 13 Pro Max as it is on my current iPhone 14 Pro Max. None of the others that I’ve tried have the same issue as this software so I can only presume that the developers have changed something within the code for this to behave like that. ✓ Time stamp timecode not workingPurchased this to sync several iPhones bc it advertised it would record time stamp timecode but it only records elapsed time. ✓ Mic ProblemsIt’s not a bad app, but through two different phones, and two different pairs of Bluetooth headphones, I haven’t been able to use Bluetooth headphone mics as external audio on this app. I used it for a film project once, and using my phone’s audio was honestly terrible. Why is this? There’s an option for external audio, but I’ve never been able to get it to work. I used to have a pair of skull candy Bluetooth headphones. My current pair is the Jabra GN Elite 25e. Both have mics which work perfectly fine on phone calls, the memo app, and Siri, but not here. Is there anything I can do about this? It would help greatly, and definitely bump my rating up a star or two..Version: 3.0.2

✓ No instructionsWhat’s the point of adding tentacle to shoot with accurate time code if you can’t lock shutter and exposure when using this app? I tried to find information to lock shutter and exposure but latenite is by far the worse developer I have seen when it comes to instructions and tutorials. There is literally nothing apart from an ad selling the wonders of this app on their website..Version: 5.1.2

✓ So close to the perfect camera app for meUpdate: I am now downgrading from a 4 star to 2, beyond the non 59.94p support I have found that the video recording cannot be deleted and instead remains on the phone as “other system data” which means if I’m doing a long shoot the only way to clear the data is to either completely wipe my phone and restore or hope that there is an iPhone update that will remove that data. This makes it completely unusable in back to back long shoot days. What drew me to the camera was the comparability with the tentacle Sync E. However the Rec app records 60 FPS at 60.03p compared to the more traditional 59.94p. This causes quite a noticeable drift in the video that negates the reason why I bought this app to begin with. Hopefully the developers can add a 59.94p frame rate option and also a offset option (like what the tentacle time bar app has for its GoPro synchronizations) However, I do realize that using this app to sync time code for 60fps videos is pretty niche so unless you are planning on doing such videos then this app is amazing..Version: 4.0.3
