✓ Fun Game, Minor Areas for ImprovementI really enjoy the game, and it is realistic in that I make similar mistakes and have similar successes as real mini golf. I am glad I bought it and have no mechanics complaints, but it is closer to 3.5⭐️ than 4. The on-boarding experience could have been stronger — setting a name, why is there only one icon, and etc. I also looked around frustrated looking for the ad remove option, which only shows after an ad occurs. It was annoying to waste time when all I wanted to do was preemptively pay for the app. A “remove ads/shop” button on the main screen?) I’d also enjoy a variety of background and transition options. The blue poly is good, but repetitive... and the single transition is too slow and becomes uninteresting. I’d prefer a score card screen and then background load/render the course. UPDATE: Disabling Low Battery/Saver mode improved load times. Disabling pro setting also adds course flair..Version: 1.4.5

✓ Great way to pass timeThis game is a very fun way to pass time. I love the easy and intuitive controls. I also found my self going back to each course wanting to break my previous score. One thing of concern: sometimes obstacles can get in the way of your view point and don’t quite change opacity enough to see through them. That might be by design, and if so, it does add a cool challenge to the game as some shots need to be made at awkward angles..Version: 1.5.0
✓ To the pointI like that this app doesn’t bombard you with a ton of ads like A LOT of other games do. The game play is easy to understand and there aren’t excessive gimmicks. I just want to play mini golf! Haha I didn’t expect there to be so many levels! And I like there are new expiring weekly and daily courses to add even more variety. Why I didn’t give a full 5 stars: Awesome there are so many varied courses. However, I do wish sometimes when a new level starts that the camera would begin fully zoomed out to show the entire course since they can be lengthy and go off screen. I find myself having to manually zoom and pan to see what I’m up against. Also, it’s nice having the surrounding graphics become transparent when they obstruct views, but in some multilevel courses when the ball drops to the level below, the course doesn’t change opacity and therefore I can’t even tell where the ball is going, obstacles ahead or sometimes where the final hole is..Version: 2.2.9

✓ Fun, but...Got to course 850 (should I be embarrassed?) and it’s impossible to play and thus impossible to move on. Right at the beginning, the path goes under another level. But a large bump is there underneath the upper level and there’s not enough clearance for the ball to go over it. So haven’t figured out how to get passed it. ✓ I play this daily... multiple times a day...Really fun game. A balance of challenging, but not impossible. I hope new obstacles will be added soon. I did encounter this bug multiple times, though. After an ad plays, sometimes the course completely disappears. The “reset hole” button will not fix it. The only way to is to exit to the title screen and rejoin the course. ✓ Play everydayI’ve played over 1000 times on indefinite mode and enjoy the daily and weekly challenges. Have every award except pro skater ??? (No idea how to obtain this one), any of the leader boards, and the mulligans. Frustrated about the leader boards though because I cannot figure out how Thompson and a few others can navigate those courses in 3 or 4 shots?? Wish I could figure out the trick to doing that consistently. (Would definitely be 5 star rating if there was some way to do that) There are a few that in can do in 3 but for the majority of the holes I score only a few shots under par. Will keep playing to see if there is some “black hole” that might lead to that secret. Thanks for a great game!.Version: 2.2.9
✓ Decent gameLike that you can play the game yourself and not having to find someone online to play against. Graphics are pretty basic. Holes are challenging, however I cannot figure out how some players can get such good scores. Find it difficult to determine how hard you are hitting the ball. ✓ Very satisfyingCurrently played over 500 courses in infinite mode and still really enjoying it. As you progress you learn how to use objects to launch onto other areas of the course, so taking shortcuts. Sometimes they work out and reduce the number of strokes and sometimes they end up adding a load... The reason for 4 Stars and not 5 is because on many occasions the course created gives an impossible-to-see the ball view. This is because layers can be stacked and the top course areas cover the ones below blocking any view of the ball or objects you need to navigate through. Sometimes this can add over 10 or more shots you need to take in order to find a way out, which is from blind guesses. Also, the zoom-out level to see the course is not enough as they become more complex and longer. So you can end up getting lost and aiming back on yourself towards the tee area, which is infuriating. However, I do really enjoy the game for the most part and hope the developers add a few more controls to make is easier to navigate as the courses grow in size, layers and length..Version: 2.2.6

✓ Needs improvementTrees get in the way of specific holes when I need to get the ball through the castle, try making them disappear at certain angles. Arrow when pulling back the ball is too thick, try a thin line without an arrow, the numbers are stretched so they don't look appealing and the speed of the numbers to how the ball rolls doesn't feel satisfying. Maybe get rid of the numbers and try a coloured technique, like traffic lights. I love how the courses pop up from the water, love the curves, the ball seems to bounce off things exceptionally well..Version: 1.0

Either that reviewer was trying to get the ad-free version for free or the developers made major changes, because the ads on this game are nothing compared to other games I’ve played! The game is a fun way to pass some extra time. I’m enjoying trying to get my score to par. Definite learning curve on how much juice it takes to get the ball where you want it. Frustratingly fun, about the way putt-putt is for me when we go play! ✓ I love this game but..I really do like this game it’s amazing. My only issue with this game is the ads. Every time a play a hole a get the same ad. I get that companies have to make money. I don’t mind ads. But when there is so many I get annoyed. ✓ Fun courses, no PvP, yayAfter playing their other title, Tides, I gave Vista Golf a try and finally a single player game. It's not PvP or multiplayer. You don't have to earn coins to play a round or move to the next course. Yes, it's mini golf, not a full on golf course, but it's both easy to play and challenging. Some holes are simple, while others take some work to get through. Angles play a key role. And I'm sure there are plenty of shortcuts using the banks, curves, and inclines to your advantage. There is a leader board, with daily/weekly challenges if you want. But, the infinite mode is one course after another. Not 9 rounds and start again, but different courses. It's quite impressive. This is another game that you can play for a couple of minutes or invest a few hours. It's a simple game with some excellent challenges. Well worth the very small price to remove ads..Version: 2.2.9

✓ Update not goodGracefully executed, uncomplicated game. Perfect for cleansing your mind for 5-10 minutes a day. Weekly courses are challenging and fun to figure out trick shots. Only complaint is with the new update...the dynamics have changed slightly. Hugging a wall slows the ball down a lot more than it used to. And the ball screeches to a halt faster now. I appreciate the work that goes into an update, but the physics we're all used to should stay consistent. Update: deleted after playing 8500 holes. The update is really bad. ✓ Great game but angryI love this game and use it a stress reliever, I usually just play infinite mode. But wait, infinite only means 7,405. How would I know this? I have now played through this game twice in infinite mode, a total of 14,810 holes, and the game glitches and does not continue to the next hole. ✓ Changed my life!This game has been one of my favorites since I purchased my iPad three years ago. I have little patience for ads so it was worth $0.99 to remove them and be able to go into a zen like trance during all night play sessions. I love the music and the mood enhancing colors of the interface. The daily challenge is a tricky but captivating game that one can play over and over. The new designs are an improvement and fun to play. My only complaint is the lack of landscape mode. This game is stimulating as well as relaxing and rewards players with clever buzzword awards. I think this game could be better if there was a level editor so that people can make their own levels. From playing, I can see that the levels are made from lots of different ‘blocks’ of course and so I don’t think it would be too hard to implement. I think the levels that people make could be available for other players to play, like Geometry Dash. ✓ Stuck on hole 970I enjoy but this is my 2nd time getting stuck UNDER the coarse. 1st time was at raising split “bridge” - finally able to get back up. This time I’m under a deck with the center pinion. I can pull to hit 100 and I see the direction line coming out under - but when I let go nothing happens except my stroke count goes UP. ✓ Good, frustrating.Update: the controls are much better or I’m getting better. This game is still frustrating but I’m starting to enjoy it more. Upping it to 5. The game was fun and a little quirky but it started to grow on me. I had only been playing for about 15min. The ads started popping up and took me out of the experience so I paid the extra to remove them. Now the ads are out of the way it should be great? Instead I started noticing how touchy the strokes are. Sometimes the same strength number will be good and others shoot over the rails. The near shots are either too soft or too hard. They seem to be a little inconsistent. This next part is my own fault not reading the game description. The courses expire after a couple of weeks or something. You have to get par on one to get to another and this seems to be for a ranking. I thought this was going to be more causal then competing. I still like the game I’m just going to have to get used to courses I may never get to play. Hopefully I learn the swing issues or a fix comes but overall the $1 for essentially a paid game seem about right..Version: 2.2.6

✓ Needs improvement for the iPhoneI’m enjoying this casual and relaxing game, but I have a few suggestions to improve it. The aiming feature is frustrating because you have trouble seeing the number(power)you’re going to hit the ball, because for some reason, it’s displayed under your finger. I would include a user interface option to move the number display so it’s easily visible. The circle around the ball should be adjustable as well. I know you can zoom out, but I’ve hit a few shots on accident by trying to zoom out due to the circle size. Another possibility is to have the default starting zoom less than it is. Finally, the response is sluggish when moving the perspective. There is a lag when rotating the view. Please consider these suggestions. Thank you!.Version: 2.2.9

✓ Awesome Mini Golf GameThe courses range from easy to challenging and none of them are seemingly impossible. If you work at it a little you can get at least a birdie on most of the holes. I have played a few other mini golf games which have had some holes you couldn’t par on even if you’re life depended on it. As for the ads, hey, everybody’s gotta eat, right? ✓ Love...I love this game! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calming way to both engage and distract the mind. However, I must call upon the developer(s) to fix a glitch. It is this glitch that made me rate the game 4 stars instead of 5. I call this the cycle of death. Here’s an example: if the ball lands on and then somehow gets stuck on a rotating plane, it will fall to its death and repeat endlessly, reappearing and consequently falling continuously. ✓ 8600 Holes and CountingI’ve been playing this game on infinite mode for years. It’s relaxing and challenging and every hole is brand new with par eventually getting up in the 25-40 range m, while still providing opportunities to score low. I think my best is a 2 on a par 42, let’s call that a pterodactyl lol. This is pretty much the only game I play anymore. I have an embarrassing shot total of 125,595 but my overall score is 126,127 below par! It’s an addictive game and I’ll keep playing as long as it’s available..Version: 2.2.9

I have a few of other suggestions/ideas for the devs... -Pass and Play and/or over shared WiFi would be nice. - Maybe make it possible to allow players to pick different colored balls. -Have the music volume and sound volume be adjustable separately. -Possibly make the sound volume max out a little higher so it can be heard better over private music selections. -Some opacity for when the ball stops in tunnels would be helpful. -Possibly add other textures to some courses... rough, sand-trap, water etc. (not sure if maybe is already in the later stages as I'm still on easy and course) - A 9 hole short-game option might be nice. This is a nice game as is though and definitely worth paying the low price of $0.99 to remove ads and support the devs!.Version: 1.4.5
✓ Great Game, Easy ControlsThis game is great, I definitely recommend getting it. It’s good for passing time, and it’s not tough or hard to control. It’s very simple, and the graphics are great. I feel like there’s a few things to be added, but it’s also fine where it’s at. The ads are understandable and not too intrusive. I wish there were more achievements, as well as more obstacles added. It would be cool to see a feature that allows players to design their own levels and then upload them to the app for other users to play (and maybe to ensure levels are possible, the user has to complete the level before he/she can post it for others to play)..Version: 2.2.12

✓ Such a relaxing experienceThis is such a chill out game And I love that it's £1.99 for no ads and not some stupid monthly pay scheme like some other games & the fact it requires no internet to play! My only minor issue is the turning as it's a little like motion blur with the delay when you stop turning. I can't describe it but I can see that this feature makes it feel smoother.Version: 2.2.8
✓ It’s a calming experienceVista Golf won’t wow anyone with its graphics. It’s not supposed to. It’s about the gameplay, stupid, and that’s where this shines. The tutorial is brief but you won’t need of that because the controls are that intuitive, and rotating the hole around is quite important on some of the more challenging holes. It doesn’t hurt that once you get used to get to the obstacles and what they do, you’ll quickly discover things are set up to be challenging, but fair. Vista Golf doesn’t want you to rush. It wants you to take your time and enjoy the ride. It doesn’t congratulate you on an ace or ride you when you need 23 putts on a hole as happened to me once. Every hole sinks in the same fashion, and the next rises in a gentle fashion. This is mini-putt done right. My only real suggestion for the developers would be that once one of the 9-hole weekly courses has run its route, it’s gone forever. It would be nice to download 9-holes that you like and be able to revisit them offline just for fun, see if you can beat your best round. But this a minor quibble. Two thumbs up for this stroke of genius that won’t be disappearing from my iPod Touch anytime soon..Version: 2.2.8
