✓ Great and slick! Could have more features, but functions well.This is a simple, clean expense manager! A couple set backs— wish there was a monthly calendar so that the reoccurring events could be seen visually. Also, as other reviews mentioned, it would be helpful to have a budget setting for each category. ✓ Nice, but could be even betterThis app has a really clean interface and is pretty flexible and easy to use. However, a few things would really elevate it: - Automatic exchange rate updates. You currently have to manually enter these periodically. - The ability to hide certain expenses in the wheel. The wheel view on my rent day shows 95% rent and 5% things I bought that day, which is a bit clumsy. It would be nice to be able to hide regular expenses like rent, subscriptions and taxes. - Better budget mode. It currently spreads out your monthly budget evenly over every day (eg £1200/month = £40 per day). However, that daily budget isn’t affected by actual spending, making it kind of pointless. (If I spend £600 on rent day, my daily budget should get adjusted down to around £20 per day, but it stays at £40). I find myself going off and using a calculator to figure out something the app should be able to tell me. - Better dark mode. The current one is quite ugly. - The ability to select ranges of dates to look at. Eg July 5th to September 12th. - The ability to choose start and end points for the year like you can with weeks and months. - A filter for descriptions. I should be able to search for “haircut” and see all the entries for haircuts in a given period and the total spent..Version: 1.2.12
✓ Great look and feel to the appThe only complaint I would have for this app is the recurring options when in dark theme are so confusing. I can’t tell which option is selected. In the regular theme you can see clearly the options you want on recurring charges area green when selected. But the dark theme seems to be randomly gray or darker gray. Other than this the app seems great so far and I haven’t had any issues. It looks good and it’s easy to input debits and credits..Version: 1.3.7

For you next update, please add more, I mean more category icons. Make them colorful and just more of them to go with any possible transaction or category. ✓ No Religious IconsIt’s actually a great all, but the fact that it doesn’t include any icon or badge for church, temple, or religious categories is severely disappointing. You may not hold religious beliefs and you might think that you are pushing people away by including religious icons, but it is actually the opposite. ✓ Great app for expense trackingI’ve been using Wally before it became all convoluted so I was looking for another expense tracker, and Monefy was just what I was looking for, simple and aesthetically appealing. I do hope there’s an option to remove the income input though since I only want it as an expense tracker. I hope it becomes easier to export it. As of right now, when you click export, it doesn’t even give you the option to email it, which would be the easiest way to transfer it to my pc. Also, would be nice if there were additional icons. ✓ Nice and simpleHalf the battle of controlling finance is recording expenditure. This app makes the task simple and quick yet allows enough detail to produce useful analysis. When input is not a chore, its more likely to be done. This app is a pleasure to use. Not perfect but close. I would like the ability to photo and link a receipt but apart from that not much to add. ✓ Finally what I neededSo look. I’ve made it well into my adult-hood never having a real budget. I used to just check my account balance way to much and limit my guac intake towards the end of the month. This app made it not feel like a panic inducing ‘balance my check book’ kinda thing. It’s easy to use while making your spending a visual play-by-play. I now know where most of my spending goes and can face the facts that left to my own devices I’m not better than an unsupervised child in a toy store. ✓ Fantastic app, however could use an extra featureExtremely helpful in tracking my expenses as I am trying to save more and need to learn to budget better. One extra feature would make it a lot easier for me to track my spending and that’s a fortnightly view instead of weekly or monthly. I get paid fortnightly so I’d prefer to see a fortnightly overview of my spending and saving so I can get a better picture of where and when I need to cut back on spending according to my actual pay dates. This would help me to see a more accurate and ‘real-time’ record of my money deposits and withdrawals. After figuring out how much money I had as per today, I put all my expenses from yesterday. I also have the issue of having monthly transactions in both Eur and British Sterlings… and this app allows you to have two (or more) separate accounts!! Amazing!! ✓ Fantastic VisualsI am an adult with ADHD and dyscalculia so I am always looking for something simple and straightforward to help me manage my money. ✓ Good app! But…I just downloaded the app and the first thing I have to say is that there was NO tutorial. I had no idea what I was doing for the first 5 minutes and couldn’t figure out how the expenses/income worked. I figured it out eventually but a tutorial would’ve saved me a bit of frustration. Otherwise this app seems pretty reliable and I think I’ll be using it a lot in the future. A side note I would like to add is that I wanted to set mine to dark mode but I have to pay for the pro version to change the appearance of the app?! That just seems stupid to me. ✓ Best simple money trackerAs someone who doesn’t have a fixed income I literally love this app for money tracking. It’s clean, simple, and having the different categories for different types of spending is an amazing feature! I can see just what I spent for the month which is something I struggled to visualize. I love that adding and subtracting money is really easy too! If you are a young person or teenager looking to keep track of your money I highly recommend!! Things to improve: I really wish they had a way to easily track monthly subscriptions such as Netflix and factor it in automatically. One thing I wish to have is a more variety of more relatable icons for categories, and be able to choose the color of the each of the available icons. For example, I can’t find an icon that truly represents the category of beauty/makeup/ skin care. They don’t categorized as haircut scissors or toiletries for me. I thought maybe my subscription expired, but I can’t find any information about that in the settings?! Did something change with the subscription? ✓ Almost Perfection!!!This app has been nothing but great for me. I only have suggestions not so much complaints. It would be good if there was an explanation for the features in the settings menu so the app users can better utilize the paid features. The second suggestion is the prediction menu that pops up when leaving a note. It doesn’t give you an option to edit that menu, edit your prediction list or delete items on your predictions list. I’ve tried several budget apps and have been using HomeBudget in recent years which is fine for those of us who like to have a lot of control over our budget, but is a bit clunky so I’ve been searching for a good replacement. Budget apps are so personal and what works for one person may not work for another. I don’t get on with apps that collect data and link to your bank accounts, or ones that use the envelope system as I find them counter intuitive. Something like this is perfect for me, so far at least. It’s very easy to add new expenses, and to see a list of incoming/outgoing by date or by highest to lowest price. The home page is lovely and simple with a pie chart showing your expenses for the month, so you can see at a glance where your money is going plus total income, outgoing and remaining budget. My only complaints would be that a) is that the free version really isn’t very good, you can’t even set up recurring expenses, so you do have to upgrade to Pro to get any use out of the app at all, though £30 a year is not as bad as some apps I’ve seen, and b) I would like a few more options of icon as I’ve grown used to having a lot of choice on HomeBudget and some of the most useful ones don’t appear here (e.g. a shopping cart for grocery shopping, a gas symbol for utility bills). However overall it is the best app I’ve seen for a while that doesn’t have an extortionate monthly fee and I can see myself paying for the pro version after the trial ends (assuming nothing changes my mind in the meantime.).Version: 1.3.30
