Not working on IPhoneHi Guys, The iPhone app keeps re-registering when I change the apps, the push server isn’t working. Can you guys advise? Thank you..Version: 6.6.1

Crashing a lotI lile the idea of continuous support and push notifications; therefore I moved from the purchased Bria I have to that subscription base Bria Mobile, but the app keeps crashing being killed (EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL)) by iOS for termination code 0x8badf00d on thread 0. New subscription model a disasterHave used Bria for iPhone for several years and, although not perfect, we continued to recommend it for our cloud Voip users. I can’t do that any more because the app no longer works either in background or lock-screen mode and no push notifications either, unless I pay handsomely for the privilege. Have now found an alternative, Groundwire, that does all of the above, it will even ring when I haven’t started the app - brilliant - and for a reasonable once only charge. I already BOUGHT this twice... plus addons.I paid quite a lot for the "old" iPhone version of this app. And I paid quite a lot for the iPad version. AND I bought codecs for both of those apps! AND I bought the desktop version of Bria. All considered, more than $100. I never had a problem with battery life. The "old" apps work just fine. Why would you kill those "old" iOS apps and require me to pay for this subscription-based app? What happened?Used to be a solid and reliable app. Now regularly crashes and won’t run in the background (if you switch away from the app, your account deregisters and you can’t receive calls). Bria does not appear in the Background App Refresh list, which goes a long way to explaining this behaviour. I feel like I’m missing something: it has plenty of features and looks and feels like the version I used to use, but for the reasons outlined is essentially worthless. What happened?.Version: 5.2.1

Allow keyboard to type in phone numberProbably the only voip app that actually works on iOS. However, the most annoying thing (and probably very easy to rectify) is the fact that you can’t use a keyboard to enter a phone number. I use an iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and it just doesn’t work. Latest update is a disaster!All the time I've used this app I get this problem of it randomly saying "a maximum of two calls can be connected at a time", despite having not even used it that day. I get a call I need to forward to a colleague but I can't transfer it and I have to get the colleague to call the client back - not what we pay ££££ for! Since this latest update the app doesn't run in the background, so will only function if your phone is awake with the Bria app open. As soon as your phone sleeps or you use another app you're disconnected and you don't receive any calls! Complete and utter waste of time and money! Still not fit for purpose..Version: 5.3.2

Great app…but missing T9 dialingPlease, PLEASE add T9 dialing functionality to the Bria dialer. It would make life so much easier for me and I’m sure VERY MANY other people. Solid 5/5 if it had T9 dialing. Random calls work perfectly when the phone is idling in background and UI works just as it should, but T9. PLEASE. Even if it did work, leaving port 443 open was not an option, also Bria warns they can change push servers addresses any time. This is useless for incoming callsI’ve been using this app for over a year as there don’t seem to be any alternatives. For outgoing calls it works fine for the most part but for incoming calls it is completely useless and unreliable. - Incoming calls rarely ever come through the app ( spent tons of time working o the push settings) and if they do it’s intermittent. Even with all running calls do t come through. - if an incoming call does come in, most time the audio doesn’t work - if I have music playing I can’t answer a call if it comes in as then the music plays through the call and there’s no way to stop it. We have tried four iPhone models through iOS11 and 12 through multiple updates and it just seems to get worse. As a business app it is not usable and if the issues are due to restrictions on iOS as I’ve heard from support, the app should be pulled as it doesn’t work no matter why..Version: 5.5.2

Not fair for us who paid for a one-time full price appThe least you can do is to unlock the feature of this app for those of us who paid the full price. I understand I can download the old app, but some of the bugs didn't get fixed and now it cannot be updated to restore full functionality, while this new app is this one that will be getting all the support and updates. Do like many developers do when the switch to a subscription model. You can have your app detect the purchase of the previous app and then have it unlock the features for us. Unreliable ServiceI have only recently started using this service and wanted to roll this out for the field staff but it is so unreliable. IssuesSince updating to iOS 11.4 the mobile cannot take calls when it is asleep. The mobile (tested on iPhone 6s and x with the same issue) needs to be unlocked in order to take calls. Buyer bewareBought a different version of this app for about $5 about a year ago, and was quite happy with it, primarily because of the CallKit integration. I recently realized that the app was discontinued without notice and left in a buggy state without automatic updates. For example, numbers will dial in reverse order (seriously) which shows the quality of these guys’ testing. And no I’m not interested in going through some strange side-channel upgrade process suggested by the developer to fix an app that I paid for. Now there’s at least three (brand new!) versions of the app with no clear differentiation and this one wants a subscription. For what service exactly? Support for your broken app? Buyer beware: seems these guys don’t care about their customers once they get your $$$. This is a shame because I was quite happy with the original app before the developers made this insane move. AcceptableThe app does what it needs to…for the most part. I get work calls on my cell, and the connection is passable. There are times that I notice not all calls are forwarded and sometimes a call gets stuck in my cell endlessly ringing. You can also only try and transfer once on Bria or the call drops, so make sure the person you’re trying to reach is actually there! Save your money and look elsewhere.For a paid app it misses the mark on so many things - it’s always alllllllmost there but never makes it. For example if you have two sip accounts you’ll never be able to tell which one is ringing as it doesn’t show which account is ringing or give you the option to have a separate ringtone for each account. Doesn’t consistently workThe phone won’t ring when I get a call, half the text messages I send/people send me never arrive (the settings are correct according to tech support). They keep blaming my phone’s connection or the voip provider, but I have zero issues with my phone (and didn’t have issues with another more expensive soft phone app I tried in the past) and the voip provider keeps saying everything on their end is correct. Tech support will respond at different intervals - a day, a week, and although they’re nice, they don’t ever have a solution. I plan to move to a different app. I will say that it does work for making a phone call (if you have good reception or wifi) but what’s the point if you can’t receive calls or send/receive messages consistently, and you’re constantly communicating/spending so much time with tech support?.Version: 6.6.3

Push service unreliableI tested Bria Mobile and Acrobits Groundwire simultaneously on my phone, with the same configuration, the two accounts were from the same service. After 12 hours, both accounts worked well. But, after 48 hours, the account used in Bria Mobile become offline and cannot be dialled in, while the other account, used in Acrobits Groundwire, still worked well. Bria has a better user experience, but the unreliable push notification makes it unusable. I had to unsubscribe it..Version: 5.5.1

Before you buy read my reviewI have had this Bri for years. I bought mine when it was about £5. It has never been cheap. I expected so much from Bria, it was a mixture of good and bad. Before now, if you receive a call that is not from Apple's own call system, it was routed to the notification system. First unlock your phone, then slide down from top, tap the call and finally receive the call. Very annoying if you remember. Finally Apple can now let us pick call like it's a normal call. Bria never adopted it. If your phone goes off, just make sure you toggle Bria. If you don't you won't receive any notification. Bria had plan. They brought out a new app with subscription that promises to push calls to you just like normal phone. Please save your money and buy GROUNDWIRE. Powerful. If you like put your phone off and on again, you will receive calls as normal. No subscription. One off payment and you will never need a house phone again..Version: 5.1.2

Great for years but not compatible with iOS14I have been using Bria Mobile for about 4 years. It’s been solid and a great performer. Yesterday I updated my iPhone to iOS 14 now that Apple has released the official update. Bria would not launch. I updated the app and it lunched once. Uninstalled and reinstalled and again I got one use out of it and it will no longer launch. I’m disappointed and will wait a couple days for an update to hopefully fix this - if not, I will need to seek an alternative because I need a product I can depend on..Version: 6.3.2

UnreliableI have to use this for work. It won’t dial out if you’re connected to WiFi. And the connection is bad on the call if you are only using cellular. What I have to do is dial out using cellular and then turn my WiFi on once it starts to dial or once the person on the other end picks up. The connection is spotty at best whether you’re using WiFi or cellular. It’s not reliable especially for how I use it at my job where I need to contact people over the phone. I don’t recommend this unless they do some MAJOR patches. Also, the call forwarding doesn’t work so don’t expect to be able to talk to anyone without connection issues..Version: 6.6.2

Rip Off?Bought full version of this client earlier this year and now reinstalling on new phone it is a monthly subscription for the client now? I paid for a full version with a one off fee and want my product. Restore purchases didn’t work. iCloud restored my previous app apparently lol. So I guess I’m still stuck without updates. Yay! So I never reached out to support for a license as it’s only $10/year and I can appreciate that sort of thing being a developer myself. My issue now is that it works no differently for me than the old Bria client. It still does not ring through when screen is locked. I paid for it?I paid for a previous version, I did restore, it said "sync success" but now I need to pay a subscription. Feels like I am dealing with EA..Version: 5.1.2

ScamUsed the free trial installed and deleted the app in less than 30 minutes wasn’t what I wanted this was all in the trial period. Still got charged even after deleting the app and cancelling subscription..Version: 6.8.3

Push serviceI have not been able to use push service it never registers and there is now information of how to fix this!!!!.Version: 5.3.6

Good software, bad move!After spending, on the regular-now-discontinued-Bria, an equivalent to 1 year subscription on this new platform, the least the developers should do is to gift a 1 year redeem code for us, the current users. The same users that are giving - for years - all the feedbacks that led to this new app. They got all the experience from their old customer base and now are trying to squeeze some more money from us. I do want the Push feature. But I’m feeling disrespected and don’t want to throw my money again on this company. Give us something and we will certainly continue to pay the subscription after that. Very confusedThis app serves it purpose as my telco can’t give me caller ID without it. But and a very big but and no one can help me. All the calls show up on my personal mobile which the app is NOT installed on and no one knows anything to help me. We share the same Apple ID but like I said it’s only installed on my work mobile and that’s a totally different everything except the Apple ID. I have looked at all the obvious in both phones nothing is shared at all Anyone reading this who can help please leave a reply..Version: 6.3.3

Absolutely horribleThis app was good maybe 4 or 5 years ago but then they got greedy, increased their price and support got very arrogant. I rather pay 10x for a service that has respectful support than have this app for free with the most toxic support..Version: 6.5.3

Where is my £5???I bought Bria when it was £5 I don’t want any of the new features but would like the product I have purchased. Unfortunately it is now not passable to get to it and counterpath insist that I should subscribe to get access to something that I have already paid for and have been using without problem for years. Some room for improvementAs a part of my work I often leave longer messages for people (45+ seconds long). Periodically the connection will end, leaving me unaware that I’m talking into the air because the is no chime or alert telling me that I’m not being recorded. This is really irritating. I’d suggest you program in a chime of some kind to alert users if the connection they think they’re using has ended..Version: 5.1.3

Great app, but doesn’t handle backgrounding wellI love it for working from out of office, but whenever the app is backgrounded, most calls go straight to voicemail and only a few ring... this means I’m stuck with my phone on a blank dial screen all day and can’t let my iPhone sleep or I won’t get calls..Version: 6.3.4

Misses many callsI subscribe to their push service and often it works, but often it does not ring the phone. I have tried every combination of settings in the preferences but none will make it ring reliably, even when it is the frontmost app..Version: 5.6.3

Nothing WorksPush notifications don't work. Everytime I go to the background it unregisters and when I open it , it re-registers causing 403 errors if it happens too often. I tapped test push notifications and it says test passed, test still when I'm in the background I don't receive any notifications and calls go to voicemail. When I make calls from the app it says, "the number you have entered have not been recognized" Total waste of money..Version: 5.5.2

Latest update broke itRecently updated to 5.1.3 and now every second call gets a busy here 486 error Have to disable and enable to make a call then it’ll happen all over again.Version: 5.1.3

UnreliableCalls drop constantly, When the calls does go through you can barely understand the person due to the constant breaking up, My company is using this app to redirect our office phones to our cell phones. If your on a call using the Bria app and a phone call comes in for your normal cell phones both calls are lost. If you on the phone and another call comes in you can not place the current call on hold and answer the incoming call, the person is unable to hear you. Then you switch Back to the original call and that one is lost too. This app is terrible..Version: 6.2.4

Bye-bye Bria!Subscription model with no grandfathering or incentives of any kind to existing customers who paid for and supported the app? No way of continuing using the app we paid for? Well done Counterpath insulting those who carried you this far. I am out, you won’t ever see a single cent from me. Bye-bye!.Version: 5.5.2

I also paid a lot of money for the old versionI also paid a lot of money for the d version. I've got a new phone and now can not get the app I paid for as it's no longer in the App Store. Not a happy customer!.Version: 5.0.2
